Vicha,
The CS6 versions are OS specific, so you cannot change OS for them. You may ask Adobe to help you change.

Chetan C: Hello! Welcome to Adobe Customer Service.
    Chetan C: Hi Ross.
Chetan C: We appreciate your patience and regret the inconvenience due to high wait time.
Chetan C: May I please have your email address registered with Adobe?
    Ross: yes
    Ross: sorry
    Ross: ok
Ross: so you have the issue that i mentioned earlier?
Ross: my email address is ****************************
Chetan C: Yes, I will be glad to help you with the information.
Chetan C: Thank you for the email address.
Chetan C: We regret any inconvenience caused to you, we are facing the Technical issue regarding this and we re working on this issue to fix as earliest, please try to activate the applications after few hours
Ross: i did that. i spoke with someone at about 5am this morning and it's now almost 10
Ross: and now i'm at work and I'm remotely accessing this computer
Ross: and it's still having the same issue
Ross: despite the fact that I CAN log in and run programs on my other computer here at work
Ross: so when i access it from this computer here at work, it works fine
Ross: just not at my home computer
Ross: so WHAT is the issue?
Chetan C: I understand your concern. We are still working on this issue, we will notify you regarding this issue at the earliest.
Chetan C: This is a technical issue and we are working on it.
Ross: WHAT is the issue, though? and why would it ONLY be effecting my home computer and not other ones?
Ross: Can you tell me what error code 194:100 stands for?
    Ross: ???
Chetan C: Ross, the issue which you are facing is an ongoing problem which our technical specialist is working on it.
Chetan C: This problem will be fixed within 24 hours.
Chetan C: Please allow us some times to fix this so that it can be fixed at the earliest.
Chetan C: Once again I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused to you.
Ross: Is there ANY detailed information you can give me in regards to why a server-related issue would only be affecting a single computer?
Ross: Or what the error code in question roughly translates to?
Chetan C: I am sorry, since we are from Adobe Customer Service we are not aware of the error which you are getting however, our technical specialist are working on it to get it fixed.
Ross: Can I speak with someone in the Tech Department via chat?
Ross: And if you're not aware of the error which I am getting, how do you know that it's an ongoing problem which people are working on and will have a solution to within 24 hours? That doesn't makes sense.
Chetan C: If I transfer this chat to technical team, you will get the same response.
Chetan C: But I want to assure you that it will be fixed within couples of hours.
Chetan C: The 24 hours which I said above is the maximum timeframe to get it fixed, however, it will sooner be fixed before the above timeframe as well.
Chetan C: I hope you can understand what I mean.
Ross: I just wish I could speak with someone who could tell me what the code stands for. Other than that, every time I contact Adobe I'll probably get the same blanket statement until they DO figure out what's going on. It's very frustrating.

  • Unable to open cs6 psd files in cs5?

I am a student, My school uses CS5 - I have CS6 - I am unable to open my homework at school (cs6 wont open on cs5) But I can still open school work at home (cs5 can be opened in cs6)
I need to know (please) if there is a way to save my cs6 psd files as an earlier version so I don't have to keep redoing my work - Please help!

    CS6 files are backward compatible.
But when opening in an older version, you can get warnings about text layers, or lose some effects that are specific to CS6 (like strokes on shape layers).

  • Unable to open existing Illustrator documents

Help! I cannot open existing Illustrator documents! I haven't changed anything. All of a sudden when I go to File and choose to open a document it just freezes the application. I can create new documents, but not open old ones. This is a big problem.
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the application. I have tried opening the documents using my Finder window or through the application. Regardless of my method the existing documents will not open and cause the application to freeze. It doesn't give me an error message it just says "application not responding." I then can click to report the problem to Apple, which I have.
    Any ideas? Suggestions? Solutions?

Post you problem in the Illustrator forum here http://forums.adobe.com/community/illustrator/illustrator_general. They will be able to help you.

  • Unable to open downloaded applications - Indesign & Illustrator

Hi - I purchased a one year subscription for Indesign and Illustrator yesterday.   However, the entire suite downloaded after quite a few hours.  I am unable to open InDesign & Illustrator.   I keep getting an Adobe comment box saying something like - to renew your subscription with a link or the message try again in 15 minutes.   I had downloaded the updated Download Assistant.   This is very frustrating as I need to work on some files I had created previously when I took out a subscription a few months ago which expired due to an accounting issue.
    I would appreciate your assistance

  • Yosemite and unable to open Illustrator CS6

    Hi
Since changing to Yosemite I am unable to open Illustrator CS6 and I get the following message:
"To open "Adobe Illustrator CS6" you need to install the legacy Java SE 6 runtime."
I have followed the link and downloaded "Java for OS X 2014-001" as instructed but doing this does not change anything and I am still unable to open Illustrator.
Can anyone help me and explain to me what I need to do to be able to use Illlustrator again!
    Thank you very much.

    Teresa, biuzalel,
You should be able to get round the issue altogether without the legacy version (and its security implications), by following this:
    http://oliverdowling.com.au/2014/03/28/java-se-8-on-mac-os-x/
It is even more thoroughly described in this thread, see post #3 on by gator soup:

  • Unable to open RAW files in CS6 after update

    Hi all,
I have Photoshop CS6 and have been able to open my D4 Raw files with no issues using the Camera Raw version 7.1 plugin.
Yesterday I upgraded my Mac OS from Snow Leopard to Yosemite (a big jump I agree) and proceeded to update Photoshop to the latest version as well as installing Adobe DNG Converter 8.8.
I am apparently still using the same 7.1 plugin version as I always have but I am now no longer able to open any RAW files through Photoshop as it displays a message saying 'files not recognised' when I try to open them.
Have I skipped too many updates? Do the latest Photoshop CS6 updates leave me unable to open RAW files? Am I being pushed down the CC route?
Could anybody offer any help at all as I have a wedding to edit but cannot open any files!!! Stress!!!
I backed up my system through Time Machine before I did the update but im not sure if I restore that I will still have Yosemite OS running.
Any help or advice really is appreciated.
    Many thanks.
    Phil

Camera RAW should be at version 8.8 for CS6
Adobe - Photoshop : For Macintosh
Adobe - Adobe Camera Raw and DNG Converter : For Macintosh

  • Unable to open illustration. ID=-50

Hi,<br /><br />The topic on how to (maybe) fix this problem seems to be closed to replies so I'm starting a new thread.<br /><br />I have had the error Unable to open illustration. ID=-50 on a series of files which were, due to my diligent (paranoid?) method of working, several stage-by stage variants and incremental editions of a very large, very IMPORTANT file I was creating for the kind of client you don't give excuses to.<br /><br />The files, almost in their entirety, were unopenable and reporting the "Unable to open illustration. ID=-50" error. I discovered the error after I re-booted, having previously received a message telling me to re-install my tablet drivers, after which my machine ran very erratically. When I went to open the files, I was given a rude shock as file after file, version after version gave me the same error and refused to open... Oh, except versions 1 through 4. I was on version 28 at the time...<argh! Hulk smash!><br /><br />Fearing imminent death at the hands of a client, I figured out a workaround.<br /><br />It may not work for all of you, but please do try it. It may just save your hide from something you didn't cause in the first place. Hint: Adobe!!<br /><br />The first thing I did was to go and buy icecream: The industrial strength, full fat kind that'll send me to an early grave. I needed the support only empty calories could bring. :)<br /><br />Now onto the tech stuff:<br /><br />Back up everything first. Don't open the files, just copy them somewhere safe.<br /><br />Now, I selected the most recent version of my file and opened it by doing the following:<br /><br />Open Flash 8 (I don't know if this works in other versions, but this was the one I had on hand)<br />Make a new document<br />Click on the File menu<br />Select the 'import to stage' function<br />If a dialogue box appears reading "This file appears to be part of a sequence of images. Do you want to import all of the images in the sequence?" click 'Yes'<br />In the dialogue box that should appear next, click the following radio buttons in order and nothing more: <br /> Convert pages to Scenes<br /> Convert layers to Layers<br /> Which pages to import: All<br /> Include invisible layers<br /> Maintain Text Blocks<br />OK<br />The file should import as vector graphics but everything will probably be expanded. You may lose a few shapes. I did, but the vast majority was still there. I experienced some cropping though. This is not a perfect fix, but it should give you more to work with than nothing at all.<br /><br />If lots of things seem to be missing, look at the Flash timeline and make sure all the layers are visible. I freaked out and invented all new words to explain my situation before I realised half my layers were turned off. ;)<br /><br />Now,<br /><br />I exported the image from Flash as an .ai by clicking File>Export>Export Image. <br />I chose Adobe Illustrator 88 as the version, but play around with the version settings, you may get a better result, you may not.<br /><br />Open the image in Illustrator<br /><br />Zoom out to the max, as the image may appear off the canvas.<br />You'll probably have lost your layers. A pain, but at least the graphics are available. You may be able to work around this by exporting layer by layer from Flash or by doing something cool that I didn't think of at 1.30 in the morning. :)<br />In Illustrator, you can't move your graphics from off the canvas to back on the artboard, as Illustrator gives a "Can't move the objects. The requested transformation would make some objects fall completely off the drawing area" error.<br /><br />Instead, select all (Ctrl+A) and cut the objects (ctrl+x)<br />Make a new document<br />Paste the objects in the new document (Ctrl+v)<br />If you're like me, you'll have a fair few mistakes to fix, and your brushes library will have gone, along with your existing brushes having been expanded. It does however seem to keep paths, so you could re-instate the brushes if you want to by loading an external brush library and putting everything back by hand. My hat's off to you if you want to try that. :)<br /><br />Bugs:<br />I have had errors where the image has shown up in C

...oh, there's a word limit? Okay, that explains why the last half of my thread was cut off...;)
    Here's the rest:
    Bugs:
I have had errors where the image has shown up in CMYK whereas before it was RGB. I found this happened when I exported out of Flash using Illustrator 6.0 as my version. I solved this by exporting as 88. I also got more objects that way. May be coincidence, who knows.
    That's it!
    SAVE AS!!
I got paranoid and saved about 4 individual copies before I dared close and re-open to test the tenacity of the file. It seems okay...so far. You'll hear me screaming from the 4 corners of the globe if it's not.
I agree with the forums that using a Wacom or similar tablet coupled with brushes, the scissor tool and even the expansion of brushes was possibly to blame for this disaster.
    So...
I save often, back up regularly (not that it really matters since the error seems to be a dynamic fault that ruins the file on the fly..) and I haven't switched my computer off, nor closed Illustrator since I started again with using the aforementioned scissor, tablet combo, a necessary evil for me right now.
I'll close both the file and Illustrator when the job's been sent, approved and I can physically hold the printed version of my work in the client's magazine.
Better to be safe than sorry ;)
I sincerely hope this roundabout fix helps someone to at least ease the anxiety and understandable fury that this error causes. If not..well..you bought that icecream, right? ;)
    Happy Illustrating!
    L.

When I try and open adobe illustrator I get a pop up message saying "To open “Adobe Illustrator CS6” you need to install the legacy Java SE 6 runtime." it also says "Click “More Info…” to visit the legacy Java SE 6 download website." When i click more info it transfers me to an apple page which never loads, its just a blank page. I downloaded Java SE 6 like it says it needs but it did nothing. All of my other Adobe programs such as bridge, dreamweaver, lightroom, Photoshop, indesign, and flash all work except for illustrator. What can I do to fix this?

Go to Apple and look for the Java for OSX 2014-001 link. Download from there and install it.

  • Unable to open AVI files in Photoshop CS6

Unable to open AVI files in Photoshop CS6
I am running PS6 and want to open and edit AVI files. When I try to do that I get an error message saying "the video file cannot be opened" . This seems to apply to ALL avis - yet I can open and edit MP4, MMV etc. I installed Gspot to track whether it was a codec issue and when I try to open ANY file I get this error message : "Warning: DirectShow crashed while GSpot was attempting to obtain information about a codec.  This is usually due to damaged, misconfigured, conflicting, or poorly written codec drivers.  It is possible, perhaps even likely, that other media players will crash when they attempt to play this file as well, as most of them will also use DirectShow.  GSpot was able to intercept the crash, and has attempted to identify the codec or filter involved; uninstalling or reinstalling this codec or filter may solve the problem.  The codec was tentatively identified as:  C:\Windows\system32\imaadp32.acm Unknown video codec #11" I have NO idea where to go from here. I see a site to download the "imaadp32.acm"  codec but what about the "Unknown video codec #11". What the heck is that and what do I do about it. Any help would be appreciate, Cliff
ps I should add that the avi files DO open and play in Bridge. I have the latest Quicktime. Everything is up to date and PS and the computer is otherwise working perfectly !

    Thanks Curt and 'Mylenium'
I did re-set the prefs - but to no avail
I checked and my graphics driver and audio is all up to date.
No sure how to verify Windows Media Player's hardware acceleration options. I opened WMP Options /Perfformance tab and under Cd the DirX tab is checked.
Running Windows Vista - so does the same caution apply regarding a re-install of Windows Media Components and DirectX ?
Appreciate your help with this somewhat frustrating issue. I am converting some old 8mm film to avi with the hope of doing some edits then burning to DVD.
