Unable to open editor

I've been happily using PSE4 for some years until yesterday I added a whole load of new pictures (~500) from some folders on hard drive. Now when I try to click Edit (this also happens when trying to go into the edit window when starting up) I get a Photoshop dialogue boxsaying "Attempt to access invalid address". I click OK and get a new box: "The action you have requested could not be completed because the application is not responding. It may still be loading or waiting for a response from you".(See attached Word file)
So I decided to reinstal - this time using PSE5 which had come with the Canon scanner I use. No joy. It seems to have converted the .psa file successfuly and I can use the view & organise window, add tags etc but I can't get the edit window open (same dialogue box). Anyone got an idea what is going on here and what the solution is?

Start with resetting the editor preferences and try launching again. Also use admin account and if possible once check launch after disabling the anti-virus or install after disabling the anti virus.

Yesterday I purchased Elements 12, Library is fine but I am trying to access the editor. It asks me to connect to the internet but will not let me. I donèt want to connect to the internet when I am editing my photos, I am not interested in the Cloud or Revel, I just want to edit my photos. I have registered my product. Good to hear that you are running at the moment.
The causes for organizer and the editor to stop working are usually different. For both to be affected, I would tend to suspect disk space problems. Probably a good idea to check that you have plenty of free space.
Please let us know if you have problems again and we can try troubleshooting.

Only the organiser is opening as normal .Have tried to get individual files to open Should I backup my organiser uninstall and reinstall or is there an easier way
Help would be appreciated.

After the initial spash screen for the program opens, click on EDIT.
What happens when you do that?

Hey Please try couple of probable solutions as mentioned below:
1:
1. Close Elements.
2. Launch the Photoshop Elements Welcome Screen and hold down ctrl + alt + shift as you click Editor.
3. Continue to hold the keys until you see a message box asking if you want to delete Photoshop Elements settings file; click Yes. Elements will open with default preferences.
2: In case any network printer is attached try to launch without network or printer uninstall or make different printer as default.
3: Try launching with anti-virus off or removing PSE from conflicting list.
4:
On the drive on which you have installed PSE,on my machine it is on C:
Go to C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 10\Locales\<locale>\Plug-Ins\Import-Exportand you will find twain plug-in. Remove that plug-in from that location and copy it somewhere else.
5. Try launching it directly from the PhotoshopElementsEditor .exe.
6. Please check in task manager if PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe is already running . If so then kill it and then relaunch elements editor.

Unable to open any programs in ABAP editor

Hi folks i'm unable to open any programs in ABAP Editor.
When ever i try to open any program it goes to short dump.
Even when i try to open STO4 to view error log.
it shows following message

check whether any exit has been implemented for se38 and because of some statements in that it may goto dump.
also try to open ur program from SE80.if u have access to se80 then u can do it from there itself.

I downloaded and paid for Photoshop Elements 13. I am unable to open the editor at all.

I downloaded, and paid for, Photoshop Elements 13. At first I was able to open the editor only when I made an adaption to the Task Manager Processes(at the recommendation of one of the forums) but now I am unable to open the editor at all.

Can you try opening Editor directly from the exe available at:
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 13\PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe
If it still does not open, are you seeing an error message when you try to open Editor?

I have formatted my phonr (e6).
After that I am unable open Photo editor. It says "unable to open application".

Thanks for your post and welcome to the Nokia forum.
In order to fix this issue, I would advise you to perform a hard reset. First of all, back up your data using Nokia Suite (Tools > Back up). Once your data is fully backed up, type *#7370# on the keypad. Default lock code is 12345.
The hard reset will dellete all your personal information, that's why a back up is very important.
Alternatively, you may also check for updates on Nokia Suite (by going to Tools > Updates).
If the problem persists, I would suggest you to contact your local Nokia care.

Unable to Open Feed Editor for iTunes U Collection

I was starting to upload new files to the Exploring Numerical Methods collection of USF on iTunes U when Safari crashed unexpectedly. When I logged back in to the PSM I was unable to open Exploring Numerical Methods from the collections page by clicking on the Apple Hosted link. It stays on the Collections listing page of PSM. Hi Guys ! I have been a long time reader of the forums and from just observing have always learned a great deal from the discussions. Up until now I have been able to read through post and always find an answer from some of the great advice. As a relatively new Final Cut Editor I have limited knowledge but can edit and have learned enough to structure my work flow and put a project together how I would like it and complete with good results.
I have read a few post on this subject “Unable to open project file” but haven’t seen any with the specifics as my own.
Up until yesterday my files were opening all fine and working perfectly until this last night I had saved and shut down my Mac in the normal fashion. When I tried to open two specific files I was greeted with the infamous “Unable to open Project Files”. These as I can gather are the only two files that will not open and both files have used the RIVER ROCK– Chromatic Glow, or Day for Night Free downloadable Filters in the last 2 weeks could this be the reason ?
I have all the recent updates and have tried going into the Auto Vault and Render files to access the last available versions of these project files. I am able to access those but am only left with a much earlier version of the same project like a version a week earlier without vital changes.
So I would pretty much have to start again.
Any Help would be greatly appreciated

Hi Tom thanks very much for your reply! , I un mounted the external drive , and reset and created a temporary scratch disk on My Hardrive to get Fce to start.
The 3 projects I have been working on which all were rendered on the 2nd of April around 3 in the afternoon. Two of the Files using the River rock filters are Not accessible from the most recent and up to date versions. The one remaining Project is able to be opened and is the only one not using the filters.
The two files accessed from the auto save vaults before April 1st up to 3pm April 2nd are working and are able to be opened with no problem. Everything after that is not opening which is a real downer as its where the project became near completion but at least I have a time frame of when things started to go wrong.
What would you suggest?

Unable to open project on different computer

Hi all,
I've got an interesting situation. I created a project on a Mac Pro, then used FCPX to consolidate media onto an external drive. Then, I realized that the "Organize Media" was needed to get all original files correctly located in the FCPX media folder, so I did that and the project would then open with my laptop (which I used as the test computer). Now, I handed the project over to another using a newer MBP than mine, and for some reason, he has been unable to open the project or even view the event media.
He's updated FCPX to 10.0.1, rebooted the computer, trashed FCP prefs, copied the Motion Templates to his Movies folder (I made a copy on the external drive as I have several templates for the project), and has done a permissions repair. All without change. The Mac Pro is a 2010 12-core running the latest version of Lion and my MBP test computer is running the latest version of Snow Leopard. His computer is running Snow Leopard.
Any ideas?

Tom was certainly right about the duplicate function being the best way to copy a project. However, the problem here was actually two-part. First, the editor did not tell me that he was able to see the project after updating to 10.0.1, but the project had missing media. He just said it still wasn't working.
Second, the missing media was only a result of him not properly copying the Motion Templates folder from the hard drive to his Movies folder.
Thanks to Tom for suggesting a better way to copy these projects, though! I think I'm going to use that, and Singlemizer to remove the duplicated files outside the "Original Media" folder to keep from building up duplicated media.

Unable to open scanned Kaiser Baas jpeg files in Photoshop Elements 6

I have scanned photos and negatives using Kaiser Baas Photo & Negative scanner. I am unable to open the jpeg files produced using Photoshop Elements 6, any advice on how to?

I don't seem to have any trouble opening the file in pse 6 on windows xp.
I'd reset the pse 6 editor preferences and see if that makes a difference.
Press and hold Shift+Ctrl+Alt just after starting the launch of the pse 6 editor
Keeping holding down the keys until you get a dialog asking if you want to delete the photoshop elements settings file
Press Yes in that dialog
