Unable to open "Read Before Download" iTunes document

I am trying to download the newest version of iTunes, but when I click the "Read before downloading itunes" document, nothing happens. There is no icon in the window, nothing opens, and I am still unable to proceed to the next step. Please help!

Same problem, I have a season pass for Mad Men and suddenly cannot download, says iTunes is temporarily unavailable. Problem occurred before I updated to the new iTunes and afterwards, on two different computers. Here is what Apple had to say:

I also have the same problem, but the Software Updates tool doesn't recognise that Quicktime is out of date. Have you tried downloading Quicktime 7.7 Leopard from http://support.apple.com/downloads/#quicktime as this worked for me...?

the user name is not the B&N username, but the name on the billing address. And the credit card number used for the purchase is the unlock code.

Unable to open attachments in my aol email account, i get a run time error. I am able to open them in ie. Also unable to open up a downloaded doc in word.

Since updating to firefox 15. whatever and now 16.0.1, i have been unable to open up any email attachments in my aol email account. I am able to view them via internet explorer. Unable to open or re-install iTunes

I am not able to open iTunes, I get the message 'this application has failed to start because MSVCR80.dll was nit found.' I tried to reinstall itunes, but it does not work either.

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.

Upon restoring from IOS 7.1 to 8. ### I have to been unable to open the App Store nor ITunes. Plus the speed of the mini iPad has deceased considerable accessing sites but the download speeds are 40 for downloading and 10 plus for uploading when running speed test app. How many others have had or still have that problem and any solutions or adjustments to settings??

Try this:
1. Go to Settings>General>Date and Time>Set Automatically>Off
2. Set the date ahead by a few months
3. You should then be able to connect to the store

Unable to Open Feed Editor for iTunes U Collection

I was starting to upload new files to the Exploring Numerical Methods collection of USF on iTunes U when Safari crashed unexpectedly. When I logged back in to the PSM I was unable to open Exploring Numerical Methods from the collections page by clicking on the Apple Hosted link. It stays on the Collections listing page of PSM. Itunes Store won't open. Says download Itunes 10. I am running MacOsX 10.4.11. Can I get into my Itunes Store another way?

You have to call Apple & likely ask for a Product Specialist to get it, if they still have it! Helps to tell them you have an iPad/iPhone & you can't run 10.6.
There are workarounds if the 867MHz is the only hangup...

Error 'Unable to open file' when downloading SAP Query to Excel

Hi all
I'm running a SAP Query which is set to download straight to a spreadsheet (Pivot Table / Microsoft Excel). Intermittently it does not work - apparently at random (at least, I've can't recreate the error at will).
It does one of the following:
- Works ok, and creates the pivot table
- Gives an Excel error message 'Unable to open file', then returns to the 'save the data in a spreadsheet' popup when enter is pressed on the error.
- Does not issue error message, just goes to the 'save the data in a spreadsheet' popup.
In the last two cases, the excel pivot table sheet is not created.
Has anyone seen anything similar, or have any idea as to what is causing the problem?
Any help gratefully received!
Not urgent as I've found a way round - further testing seems to show that I don't get the error is Excel is already open - but in the past I've run many SAP query downloads without needing to open Excel first. I suppose it's possible that this is just something to do with the Excel setup at the user site

Ensure that file name with same name and in same path should not be open while saving the data.

After installing the OS 10.10.3 update iTunes will not open. Re-downloading iTunes and re-installing did not help.

After downloading and installing OS 10.10.3 iTunes will not open. Spotlight does not find it. I have repaired permissions, re-downloaded iTunes, and re-installed it. The problem remains. ITunes appears in the directory of Applications, the update shown in the info in Finder. Double clicking does not open it.

Unable to open Reader

Have Windows XP. Since March have been unable to open pdf files (following auto update??) Cannot open Adobe Reader In both cases get error message "Reader has encouontered a problem and has to close". You can try to use the 'System Restore' Program in Win XP. In case you don't know of it, click your start button, go to all Programs, accessories, system tools, system restore. Choose "restore Computer to an earlier Date" pick a day that's highlighted on the calander there, and continue with the program. It will go through its ordeal and restore computer to an earlier date, effectively uninstalling anything put in After that Date ! It works like a charm. SyxPak.
