Unable to Open RPD in online mode by using the Admin tool in OBIEE 11g.

Hi All,
I Installed OBIEE 11g (11.1.1.5) in Linux Box.
When I am trying to Open the RPD in online mode by using the Admin tool, I am facing the below error.
Logon failed due to:[nqsError:43113] Message returned from obis
[nQSError:13037] Cannot connect to BI Security Service,please make sure this is running properly (with SSL ot not) in EM.
[nQSError:37001] Couldnot connect to the Oracle BI Server Instance.
All my services are up and the status are Alive,My biserver is in Running Mode and I am able to open the Answers page too.
I am able to open the same RPD in Offline mode but not in Online mode.
I Created a System DSN in ODBC Data Source Administrator for opening the RPD by using the OracleBIServer1 driver,still the issue doesnt resolve.
Any help is highly appreciated.

Hi All,
This question is answered.
The Resolution is
While Installing the RCU i created two instances so the RPD is not able to take the correct instance.After deleting the other instance now i am able to open the RPD in online mode as it is pointing to only one instance.

    We are using OBIEE 11g . We are unable to connect to BI Admin in online mode. All servers (admin server, biserver) are up and running fine. Checked the staus of all the servers in command prompt, it showed ALIVE.
    We are able to connect in offline mode.
    Able to connect till yesterday and faced no problems. suddenly problem occured. Once the problem occured restarted all the servers but still unable to connect in online mode.
    ERROR Description:[nQSError:43126] Authentication failed:Invalid Username/Password.

    We are able to open the same repository in offline mode and furhte rmore even we are able to create the new repository with th esame database. One thing we noticed is our ip address has been changed, is this cusing the error..??
    One more question:
    Our database has been SHIFTED to new system and got new tns details(hostname, service name etc). What changes do i need to do with respect to the new database in obiee 11g application so that I can connect to the database with same repository.
    The things I have done:
    1.Copied the new tnsnames file to oracleBI1\network\admin
    2.Created the new DSN with respect to new databse service name.

    I am not able to open rpd in online mode.
    It just says that it opens in Read Only mode.
    The service is up and running. Still I get this problem.
    When the service is turned off and I try to open the rpd in offline mode too, it gives me the same problem.
    I am facing this issue even when the NQConfig.ini file is pointing to someother rpd.
    This issue is not with all the rpds in my Repository folder but only with few rpds. I have observed these probs with the latest two rpds each time.
    Can someone pls suggest me on this.

    Yes.. so far the latest 2 rpds are not working.. (last two rpds that I have saved.. the older ones are working fine)

    If Flash Player is indeed the problem I would suggest using the Adobe Uninstaller.
    Have you tried using a different browser such as Chrome, Firefox or Safari to see if they have a problem with Flash?

  • Firefox is crashing continuously when I open it. I'm unable to open it in safe mode and reinstalling the application has not worked.

    I've been running Firefox v. 18.0.2 and for a few days the application continually crashes everytime I open it. I'm currently unable to get into safe mode and this is occurring on all profiles on the machine. I've went through and updated all my Add-Ons however the issue persists. I decided to re-install the application wiping out any configurations that were previously configured. I've also tried deleting the entire %APPDATA%\Mozilla folder. Up until this point I am unable to get Firefox running.

    1. Click the Windows Start button, and select Run... on Windows XP or press Windows Key + R on Windows Vista/7. Type in "%APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Crash Reports\submitted" including the quotation marks and click OK.
    2. In the resulting folder will be a text file for each crash report you have submitted. Using the View menu, arrange them by date to find out which is the newest file; and double-click on it to open it.
    3. Report back to us with the latest crash ids.

    I cannot open repository in ONLINE mode
    I'm using Oracle BI Administration tool version 11.1.1.3 and Oracle Enterprise Manager 11g version 11.1.1.3.
    My procedure is:
    - Enterprise Manage: open repository, apply changes, restart services
    - Administration tool: CTRL+L (open online) and type username and password. But Open button in administration tool is always grayed.

    Hello guys
    I have an issue here..
    I have everything working in 10g using external table authentications by having 2 init blocks:
    ISAuthorization --- row wize initailization:

    UG.ID = FFF.USERGROUPS and
    U.ID = FFF.IS_SEC_USER and
    UPPER(U.USERNAME) = UPPER(':USER')
    ISAuthentication -- 5 target variables: User, email, loglevel,password, displayname
    select USERNAME, DISPLAYNAME, LOGLEVEL, EMAIL,PASSWORD from IS_SEC_USER
    where UPPER(USERNAME) = UPPER(':USER') and PASSWORD = IS_GET_MD5_VAL(':PASSWORD') ----- IS_GET_MD5_VAL is nothing but a store proc we have to encrypt passwords.
    Everything works perfectly in 10G where a new user gets created in the DB table, passwords assigned and encrypted, then I am able to log in using the new user.
    The admin user in 10G environment was 'Administrator/admin' which was native in 10g. During the upgrade process, I have set the new password for Administrator to be 'admin123' and upgrade was a success.
    Now that I have upgraded the rpd, when I open it in offline mode, I was successful by entering Administrator/admin123. However, when I try to open it in online mode, I encounter the below error:
    nqserror:13024 successful completion of initialization block "*ISAuthentication*" is required
    My 11g version is 11.1.1.6.5
    Any thoughts on how I can debug this issue?

    Just an update:
    In my below set up:
    ISAuthentication -- 5 target variables: User, email, loglevel,password, displayname
    select USERNAME, DISPLAYNAME, LOGLEVEL, EMAIL,PASSWORD from IS_SEC_USER
    where UPPER(USERNAME) = UPPER(':USER') and PASSWORD = IS_GET_MD5_VAL(':PASSWORD')
    Variable User and password was 'Administrator' and 'admin' in 10G when I ran the test on the initialization block, however, when I test the same block in 11g rpd, these 2 variables are blank..
    I do have 'Administrator' user created through weblogic and it is showing up in the rpd.
    Any thoughts on why the variable is not working in 11g rpd?

    Actually Integrated the BI with Oracle EBS R1213....
    Still It return the Same error when opening the RPD in online mode

    I faced an error below:
    - Yesterday, i opened rpd file online normally. after that, i restarted (stop bi services + start bi services) bi server. we did work by openning rpd file onlie normally.
    - today, i could not open rpd file online, it noted _"logon failed"_. i could open rpd file offline
    - i check log in OEM --> Business Intelligence --> coreapplication --> Selected Item: Diagnostics, some error below (i don't know exactly cause by what error)
    + Failed to restore ctx from reference
    + server is local, but local login bypassed.
    + Demo trusted CA certificate is being used in production mode
    + !!! Oracle FOI server destroyed. !!!
    + !!! Oracle MapTileServer destroyed. !!!

    Can check the nqsserver latest error log message
    path will be like below,
    D:\Oracle\Middleware\instances\instance1\diagnostics\logs\OracleBIServerComponent\coreapplication_obis1\nqsserver.log
    what changes u done? is it configured with SSL?

    Hello All,
    I am unable to open RPD in Windows 8 (OBI 11.1.1.7).
    Just the command prompt opens up and then hangs and end up with error.
    [nQSError: 47077] NQSConfig.ini file was not found. Make sure your enviroment is set-up properly.
    I installed 32 bit client but that did not work.
    Can someone give me any pointer?

  • Unable to open pdf created with Acrobat Pro using Adobe Reader X

    Files created with some Adobe Professional applications such as Acrobat Pro ensure the file is small by excluding font information from the file.  Simple pdf creation applications embed the font in the file, which makes for transportability between apps but does make the files big.
    The problem i have experienced is that Adobe Reader X is one of the simple app varieties, so is unable to open, print, or read files created using Adobe Acrobat Pro..
    i'd welcome any help in (a) finding a free app that opens these 'pro pdf' files, OR (b) an option setting in Acrobat Pro which includes the font information in the file - or both!

    There are so many things wrong, around a tiny grain of truth, it really isn't worth examining. Not at this stage if you are more interested in getting things working.  It may be worth asking you though, since Reader doesn't even launch for you, how you came to focus on font embedding being the cause.
    Ok, Reader doesn't launch. Suppose you start Reader FIRST. Then use File > Open on your PDF.
