Unable to open weblogic link in OBIEE

Hi,
I am new to OBIEE, I installed OBIEE 11G in personal laptop and succesfully able to work on BI adminstration, but unable to open web logic console and other stuff which are web applications. I am getting error as cannot display page.
Is there anything I need to set inorder to work on web based applications? Please let me know as I am clueless to find the sollution for this.

Clear all the events from the event viewer and then start the services and check whether the page is opened or not.
Before doing this check whether the BI Server has been started or not. If the services are started and eventhough you are not getting the web page then try the below options.
Steps to clear events in event viewer, Goto Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Event Viewer
Click on Event Viewer and in the left panel and right click on application and select clear all events option. Like wise you do for all the options available in the left panel
Once it is done restart the services and then open the weblogic console or em or obiee page etc.

So I'm not Mary Frances. I'm her husband who is force to deal with this opaque and obnoxious equipment (iPad). With the iOS 7 update she could no longer follow web links by tapping them in an e-mail (it did work from a web page). After an hour of web searching, experimenting and rejecting the offer of an answer from apple help for only $20, I found that, if in settings/safari, you turn off the "Do Not Track" button, the ability to follow links in an e-mail by a tapping is magically returned.
Flash! I just went back to the ipad and turned on the "Do Not Track" button -- just to test my discovery. Predictably (by my cynical myself) you can still open a link in an e-mail, so I don't know what's happening/happen. But I'm not surprised.

You will have to check this with the person who is upporting our portal applications. From the error description it does not look like there is any thing wrong with CATS application as such.

Try disabling or uninstalling the Ask toolbar and it should work again. This is a compatibility issue with the Ask toolbar following a security update in Firefox 3.6.13

Recently I went on Facebook and tried to open a movie site someone had sent me on Facebook andwhen I tried to open the video on Facebook, I was told I had to upgrade my Adobe Flash Player. i tried to do this, but turns out that Facebook is requiring folks to have an intel chip in order to view movies...this is outrageous! Just think of all the folks in the world who have great running pre intel chip Apple computers. I called the Adobe Help line and was told that I really needed to buy a new computer....no thanks. How do I find a way to get a new version of Adobe for Facebook and youtube. I wish Apple could develop a way to have intel chips installed in the older computers. If you have any suggestions on this please let me know.

Either get a screen cleaning cloth, or carefully us a slightly damp lint-free cloth and dry off with a dry link-=free cloth.
As to Flash Videos: I am in a similar same boat. I cannot watch flash videos on the BBC website or on BBC iPlayer, although all other flash videos (YouTube and FaceBook for example) are fine.
For reasons that passeth all understanding, they work with the PPC version of Firefox, called TenFourFoxG5.app, once you have anabled plug-ins, as it does not natively support Flash.
You can download TenFourFoxG5 from here:

Now for the intersting bit: TenFourFox, like Firefox, does not support most plug-ins. Unless you are prone to headaches (in which case don't) you can read about that here:

But there is a workaround!
Open TenFourFox and type in the address bar: about:config (no spaces) and click return. This gives you a warning that it might harm the application. Ignore that and click on 'I'll be careful, I promise' and you get the config file that you can edit - with great care.
Look/search (scroll down) for: tenfourfox.plugins.enabled
Set it to true. (Double click it to toggle it)
Now close TenFourFox, open it again, and Flash will now work, as it now uses the plug-ins that Safari has stored.
I am using Flash 10.1.102.64 in TenFourFox and it works just fine.

I am unable to open pdf links using firefox 4 beta 11. Error message is "....ashx file cannot be opened, because an unknown error occurred. Try saving to disk first and then opening file"

I can open some pdf file in FF beta 11 using Adobe reader, however some links to pdf files cannot be opened. When clicked, the error message above appears. There is no option to open the file, so I have had to switch to Safari to read these pdf file.

Unable to open form links from ie7

db: 11gR2
os:win2003
After database was upgraded to 11gr2, couple accounting department desktops (xp sp3 ) could not open SOME forms from ie7,
there was NO problem before upgrade.
1. Some forms can be opened and other can not be open after click. Turned on client java debug, trace option, nothing show up there after click
a form link. There are bunch of msg with working forms.
2. No errors I can find in apache access_log and error_log from these desktop IP.
3. I tried install newest version of Firefox on the desktop, it works beautiful and sleek.
4. I tried from other xp desktops, it works fine.
5. I tried from my laptop (win7+ie9), it works fine.
I did check out Deploying Sun JRE (Native Plug-in) for Windows Clients in Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 [ID 393931.1]
look for "Forms Launch Issues", no luck.
It got be something special on these two desktops, I have tried to clean ie cache, java cache, or even remove application data -sun folder, etc.
any body can help me or give me some hints?
I can turn on apache debug option on server to figure out what it is wrong (may be), but I would like a quick answer from anybody
has similar issue.

There were something wrong with IE7 and Java JRE. The javaScript:Launchform under the links just would not launch jre and in turn to launch form. It was strange that some links
worked and some don't, after cleaned up IE cache, cookies, etc., the links that did not work before then worked and the ones that worked become not working. I restored the
whole XP box and IE7, then it works fine now.
I have another desktop has the similar problem, I removed and restored SP3 (XP) and IE7 instead of restore the whole box, it works fine.
IE is getting sucks, I have tried FF and Chrome on the same box, they were all worked great but IE7. I have tried many tricks I can found on IE7 and Java, none helps.

Unable to open Analytic s In OBIEE

HI every one,
I am able to login to console and EM but not to Analytics. and in my em in Farm_bifoundation_domain (curreent version of obiee using is 11.1.1.6.6)
Depolyments green 26% red 74%
Fusion Middleware green 33% red 67%
in coreapplication only BIpublisher is not alive.
In the Adminserver.log , I seen this error. Can any one suggest me how to move forward.

I have the following things when I go to console and then data source I have
mds-owsm as type genric and on server as admin server in a running state having 0 active connections high count,(and)
mds-owsm as type genric on server as bi_server1 and in a suspened state having 2 active connections high count.
bip_datasource as type genric and on server as bi_server1 in a suspended state having 1 active connections high count.
rtd_datasource as type genric and on server as bi_server1 in a suspended state having 2 active connections high count.
and when I click on the suspended "mds-owsm"_ I am into the "*Test Data Source(Filtered-more columns Exist*) screen, Then I have two servesr there, they are
*Adminserver with state as running and*
*bi_server1 with state as suspended*
Now i selected *bi_server1* and clicked on "*Test Date Source*" then I got the following error
*Connection test failed with the following exception: weblogic.common.resourcepool.ResourceDisabledException: Pool mds-owsm is Suspended, cannot allocate resources to applications.*
And when I selected ADMIN SERVER and test it I got the following error message.

I am unable to open mail link (yahoo, gmail, and aol), and links that require a login will not open, it just continues to show "connecting" while on each home page.

I can open web pages and click on links that don't require a login, but if I am trying to open a login for email or anything else "connecting" shows up in the tab and runs constantly with no connection taking place.

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

Unable to open any links. The entire web page appears greyed

Ever since I stayed at a hotel this weekend and tried to use their wifi, I have been unable to do any more than access a single web page at a time. The page appears grey, and the links and scrolling are not operative.
Does anyone have any ideas.

I suggest you go to Settings-General-Reset-Reset Network Settings. After resetting, you will probably need to reenter any WiFi passwords.

This problem seems to be more towards with Call structure Configuration.
Please define parameters carefully during defining webservice like repository name which is case senstive, ensure you have the same case senstive name for repository which you defined for SRM MDM in MDM Console. Also check for other parametrs too.

Unable to open URL Link in sms on X6

Anyone has an idea of this ....
When I registered to the Website, it asked me to activate my account
by opening URL from SMS sent to my mobile number. I received that SMS,
but when I tried to open it, my X6' screen froze (seemed to be hanged).
What should I do ... (I need to activate my account immediately) ?!!!

Just turn off your phone for 5min (leave it without battery) and try again. It may have been a RAM issue. Are you on latest firmware?

Where did you collect this log from? Doesn't look like the logs the ActionTec router spits out.
Under the Advanced icon select System Settings and midway down make sure System Logging is on as well as Security Logging...
Then go to the System Monitoring icon at the top and then to the Advanced Status menu on the left side, there you can see the system log... may be of some use
The log above can be found by going to the Firewall icon and then on the left side, the Security Log .... I looked here assuming some security policy was killing the stream..
After looking further... I see that there is a standard RTSP rule already in placeIt's interesting, my ActionTec 424 doesn't have a built in RTSP rule at all. I found it under the advanced icon at the top and then under protocols
What I cannot see on any inbound FIOS firewall router log is an
inbound attempt from the server that Pulsar requested the stream from
That's the thing, there -aren't any-. RTSP as Pulsar does it, does not involve any inbound connections, and thus doesn't require any Port Forwarding/Mapping. It should "Just Work" in all cases.
I suppose if a stream is allowed as a protocol in would not be flagged in a log
From the testing I've done though, it appears that the router is just hanging up doing the -outbound- connection. We send an RTSP "DESCRIBE" command to the server, and begin reading the reply back. The reply starts to come back in, and then suddenly the data starts coming in out of order. Finally the connection just hangs completely before the complete reply is received.
Under Advanced icon there is a QOS option .... I wonder if a QOS was set for the stream if it would handle it better and not mangle the stream
As far as I can tell, it is a bug in the router firmware. We send a request, and it mangles the reply data. Doesn't leave us much room for working around it.

These reference RTSP issues with a router in front of the Actiontec ... I have no router... just switches and gateways to the Actiontec which is doing all the DHCP assignments, firewall and routing. I tried VOD on the VERIZON STB box, it works fine, and according to the threads.... they use RTSP ... so why would RTSP work for the STB and not Pulsar?
Also... out of curiosity.... is the Sirius stream native from Sirius as RTSP? are they offering both the legacy and RTSP during transition to RTSP only .. or is this a RougeAmoeba / Pulsar independent implementation / connection converted from Sirius's native stream?
Next week I'm going to do some testing with a NetGear MoCa bridge, and see if that behaves any differently then the ActionTec 424.

I have rebooted my iPad several times. I haven't changed any security settings.

Did you reboot/reset your iPad like this?
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
