Unable to open windows

unable to open windows and powerpoint

How is Windows installed?
If you installed Windows using Boot Camp Assistant you don't "open" Windows you boot into Windows.
If ypou installed Windows in a virtual machine you must start the virtual machine before turning on Windows from within the virtual machine.

Unable to open windows using boot camp.  Get message "The bless tool was unable to set the current boot disk."   I am using an Imac , Lion operating system, and Windows 7.  It worked a few days ago.  Any thoughts, Thank you.

Note that nowhere in the Boot Camp instructions does it tell you to use Disk Utility to format the Windows partition. The Boot Camp Assistant program creates the partition & sets the +partition scheme info+ of the disk as appropriate for the Windows installer but the Windows installer itself is responsible for formatting the new partition with the appropriate +file system scheme+ (NTFS for Windows 7).
If you follow the instructions in the Boot Camp Installation & Setup Guide to the letter you should have no problems installing Windows.

  • TestStand 3.5 unable to open Windows\system32\cvirte\bin\cvirte.rsc

Installed LabVIEW 8.2, LabWindows 8.01 and TestStand 3.5 on 32 bit Windows XP system on which I have local administrator privileges. When I start TestStand I get the following errors:
    1. 'unable to open C:\WINDOWS\system32\cvirte\bin\cvirte.rsc'.                                                                          It appears that these folders do not get created during the install.
    2. 'unable to load test adapter DLL "Crogram Files\National Instruments\Test Stand 3.5\bin\flxCVIadp.dll".          This file does exist in this folder.
    3. 'Could not load DLL or external library 'C:\Program Files\National Instruments\TestStand 3.5\Components\NI\Callbacks\FrontEnd\frontend.dll'.'
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling TestStand several times, always the same results.
Previously had a newer version of TestStand (from Q4 08 Developer Suite discs) and had no problems installing or running TestStand. I did uninstall all NI software before attempting to install LabVIEW 8.2, LabWindows 8.01  & TestStand 3.5 to support a legacy project.
Anyone know how to solve this problem?
    Thank you kindly.

I have a similar issue and have tried the above solutions.  Unfortunately, it did not resolve the problem.
As a last resort, I fully removed everything TestStand, LabWindows-CVI and LabVIEW.
Started fresh with TestStand 3.1.  Still get the same error messages (see below).
The dll's exist in the folder.  And they worked before.
The whole nightmare started with the installation of a newer version of CVI (let's not go there).
I downloaded and installed the very latest version of the CVI-Run Time Engine.  Still the same problem.
Been deleting and re-installing everything all day.

  • Unable to open Windows installer file sql_rs.msi

    Hi all,
I'm installing SQL Server 2008 r2 Enterprise edition in Windows server 2008 R2 for TFS setup.
Previously i have tried Express Edition of SQl server.
    Later it was all uninstalled.
I'm facing an issue during the installation, Unable to open the file specified sql_rs.msi file.
Kindly someone help me out on this.

    Hi,
According to your error message, this issue might be caused by the corrupted setup file, please check if your setup file is corrupted or not. If it is corrupted, please try to download it again and choose “Run as administrator” to reinstall. If the setup file
is complete, the installer may have problems accessing the files on the C:\SQLFULL_ENU_x64\setup folder, as Prashanth’s post, you could try to copy the setup file to a different directory where your account has full control permission to this folder, then
choose “Run as administrator” to rerun the file and check if the error still occurs.
    Thanks

  • I need urgent help with my macbook pro, installed a theme and now unable to open windows, please help !

    Hello,
I installed a theme on OS X Lion that was actually made for snow leapor, because on a youtube video someone said it works with Lion too,
After installing it I got problems seeing close and minize icons.
And After reinstalling my Macbook pro, I am unable to open finder, Safari, Terminal etc.
I have tried to get help from several help forums, and tried changing files as described here

    Theme was downloaded from here

Okay, it's both for your first question: When I import the songs to the library, the songs are not in the correct order as they were on the CD. And, in the process of my importing the songs, the library scrambles the songs in different sections of the library (I explain further below)
I don't know what you mean by "little triangle" pointing up or down. What's that got to do with the price of fish in China? lol
When I get the music in the library the songs come out sorted this way: 2 songs from CD 1 appear one section of the library, then 1 song from CD 2 appears in the next column, along with the album work. Then, I go down farther, and there's a few more of the songs from CD 1 in the next section. I go down again, and maybe 2 or 3 songs are in that column. Along with the artwork for that CD. Then I scroll down again in the library, and there's maybe 3 or 4 songs from CD 1 there. Get the picture? It keeps sorting the songs in that order. And yes, the CDs I was importing were compliation dance CDs, along with some from the same artist, like Barry Manilow.
I hope I answered the questions better so that you can help me Thanks in advance, Glenn

  • Unable to open windows region

    Hi,
I have been trying to change my windows region in Windows  8.1, but the program will not open from the control panel icon or the taskbar search. This is making it very difficult to install other updates, many of which are region dependent.
Has anyone had a similar problem?
    Thanks

  • File Manager unable to open, Windows error message...

When I try to open File Manager from Nokia PC Suite or Nokia Phone Browser in My Computer, a Windows error message suddenly appears and says "Windows Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close." I don't know what seems to be the problem. I've been using it for months and this is the only time I encountered a problem like this. How can I solve this problem?
I have the latest version of Nokia PC Suite (Version 6.85.12.0), my OS is Windows XP 2000, and I'm using a USB cable as a connector.
Please, I really do need to fix this one.

  • Unable to open window. I cleared my cache, and since then, although firefox is running and shows that I have open windows, I cannot "maximize" them. I have restarted my computer, and uninstalled/reinstalled firefox with no change.

I would rather just have someone call me, or give me your phone number so that I can explain. I don't know what else to tell you... the windows don't open up when I click on them in the toobar along the bottom of the page.
My phone number is 504-235-1500 - a New Orleans number, but I live in Santa Rosa, CA.

Can you start Firefox in [[Safe mode]] ?
You can also do a clean reinstall and download a fresh Firefox copy from http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html and save the file to the desktop.
Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.
It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
You can initially skip the step to create a new profile, that may not necessary for this issue.

  • Unable to open windows database files hosted on Lion Server

I use Mac Mini as a server. With Snow Leopard Server I shared files hosted on Mac Mini and other PC computers on the network could use together Access and Quickbooks files. After upgrading to Lion Server no PC is able to open these database files. E.g. when opening MS Access file hosted on Lion server following error pops up: "too many users acessing the file". However, the Access database can be open from network PC when opening in exclusive (single user) mode. Normal multiuser mode brings error.
Is it possible to solve this Lion sharing issue?

Same problem. Just fired up a new Mini with Lion Server to replace an HP Home Server because we need more than 10 users in our church now. Got all the users set up with group permissions and home directories on the server. Unfortunately I expected Lion Server to work just like Snow Leopard Server and be able to serve up ODBC databases like Access and Quickbooks files.
Anyone heard if Apple has a solution to the "too many users" error message? It appears that Access in particular attempts to open the data file and create a locking file (ldb), but cannot get the file permissions it needs from Lion.
Sorry I have no solution for all yet.

  • Open doc URL: unable to open the report in same window

    Hi
I'm trying to open a report using open doc url with "swindow=same" but still it opens in a separate window. This happens only when I use JAVA viewer. it works fine in ActiveX and HTML but I want this in JAVA viewer as i'm including this page in my JAVA application and it should open the report in the same window. I tried using "<a>URL</a>" and also target="_self" by HTML interpretation for that object but still the same problem. I'm unable to open the report in the same window by using JAVA viewer for Crystal Reports in info view. Please help me!!!
Envirorment Details: Crystal Reports 2008 SP3, BOE XI R3 SP3
    regards
    Raghavendra.G

I have tested that myself and It seems that HTML interpretation does not work with the Java viewer.
I have also tried using a hyperlink containing javascript
    eg.
    javascript:window.location.href='http://www.sap.com'
but the java viewer seems always to launch a new window before processing the command.
I would recommend to open a case by SAP support ( httP://service.sap.com/support )
