Unable to order book in iPhoto iOS

Hi,
I have created a book in iOS iPhoto but can not seem to place the order. Basically after adding the address (which matches the country selected in the iPhoto Store, i.e., Spain) it begins processing and after asking to sign in to my iTunes account (which is for Portugal) I get the message saying that the account does not have sufficient info to complete the request, and tells me to update it going to settings>Store and update account info.
PLease help. Is this a conflict due to the fact thar the iPhoto store location is Spain but my Apple ID is Portuguese? If this is the case do I need to create a Spanish ID account in order to place the order?
Thanks

If this is the case do I need to create a Spanish ID account in order to place the order?
The country of your AppleID with the billing address and the country of the Print Products store must match. The credit card used with the AppleID must also be valid in the country of the Print Products store.

Hi, I have problems in ordering book from iPhoto. It says "problems in getting contact with Apple Online Store" I have changed password on my Apple ID - could that be the problem ??

Some additional efforts you can try:
Go to the System/Sharing preference pane and make sure Remote Apple Events is checked.
If it is, uncheck it and then recheck and try ordering again.

  • Unable to order prints through iphoto

I am unable to order prints through iphoto. Everytime I try to download and order with 1-click it starts downloading and then says there is a problem with one of my files. Is my order too large (over 500 megabits)? Are certain files to large? Some of my files are in the RAW format or were taken in RAW format. I have tried leaving out photos that have the RAW title showing in iphoto and still no luck. Some of the files, even though noted as jpeg files are 4+megs. Does anyone have an idea on what is going on? I am using the latest iphoto which is 6.04.

I have a similar issue lately. When trying to order 130 4x6 prints the upload process dies after 10-12 photos and there is nothing you can do about it. The retry function does not restart the upload, it just hangs.
When using Activity Monitor to monitor the upload speed (I am on COMCAST cable) I see 45-50kB/s for the first 10 pics and then it dies - goes to 0 - unless you do something else on the computer that touches the network.
No other app is having network or internet connectivity problems.
Part of the problem might be the fact that the ever increasing file sizes are making the uploads slower and slower. Those 130 pics of mine are 230MB+ and thats just from a small 6MP point and shoot Canon camera.
Iphoto realy needs a much more robust upload and reststart logic. Like iTunes that can download songs and video in pieces and restarts as often as you want wherever it left of, iPhoto needs a similar function to deal with larger uploads.
Now the first attempt to fix the issue is to go break the order into 10 individual orders - only problem: Instead of paid 9.99 for express shipping you pay a total of 99.90 for shipping as every order has an individual shipping charge.
Any ideas for a work around?

  • IPhoto books in iPhoto -  The new Photos program only has square photo books.  Will I be able to edit/order books with iPhoto after I upgrade to Photos?

I have many photo books created in iPhoto.  These are rectangular shaped.  The new Photos program only has square shaped books.  After I upgrade to Photos, will I still be able to order books using iPhoto?  Or, will Photos allow me to edit books in their original rectangle shape, and order them?

The new Photos.app will have the classic rectangular sizes as well.
    See the Preview.
    Apple - OS X - Photos Preview
It only mentions the new square format, but the classic layouts are there as well, as the picture shows.
But you may not be able to migrate the old book projects. Finish any current book project while still using iPhoto '11 and create new projects in Photos.

Thanks really need an answer soon.. the book is for christmas giift.. thanks again

This can happen quite often, i don't think it is any of your hardware or cables that is affecting this. From my experience, i occured the same problem so i just thought i'd leave it because i wasn't to bothered anyway. But then weeks later i thought i'd give it a go and it worked fine and i recieved my album a week later.
It should work if you just 'forget about it' for a little while. I don't not believe there is a specific answer to why this occurs.

  • IPhoto unable to order book

Have been unable to order a book from iPhoto for about 2 months now. At first I put it down to the coupon offer overloading the servers, but still no joy after the coupon ended.
The book assembles ok, but on transferring the data it doesn't get past 0Kb. The error message in the console reads:
    10/05/2008 17:04:31 iPhoto[1484] ISCoordinator responseFromUploadFiles: error...
    MessengerContext = <ISNewMessengerContext: 0x1e417b30>;
    Retry = YES;
    Status = ERROR;
I have checked for empty text boxes etc as suggested by some people. Am running 10.5.2 on a MacBook Pro 2.33GHz. iPhoto version 7.1.3 (364). Was definitely able to order books pre-Leopard.
    Any help appreciated!

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. This Apple KB document just was released and may be of some help: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1139.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger or later), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 6 and 7 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

  • Unable to order book printing

    Hello,
I am living in Spain and I'm having trouble buying a book using iphoto 11.
When I click to (buy book), this is the message that appears:
"An error occurred while contacting the Apple Online Store. Please try again."
I have two days trying to place my order and nothing happens!!
    please HELPPPPPP!!!!!

I had exactly the same issue.
Then I discovered that iPhoto menu -> Preferences... -> Advanced -> > Print Products Store  was set to "none". I changed that to my own country and then it worked, I could place the order.
So, do check if this helps.

  • Problems with ordering Books from iPhoto '09

I tried ordering 2 books from iPhoto ’09 (version 8.1.2 (424) - this is the iPhoto that I have) yesterday, and I got this message: "Please check your network connection and try again"... so I checked my network connection and it was fine. I tried again summiting the order and the same message appeared again
I checked all the photos and everything look fine. So, I tried to summit the order again. The same message appeared. I stopped trying sending it again.
After, I checked my emails and saw that I got charged 3 times for the books! I never got an email from apple with a confirmation number for the order(s) nor nothing! I tried looking for a number or email that I can send them about my problem but I can’t anything.
Please Help! I have a deadline to meet.
How can I know if at least one order went through and how can I stop two of the charges?

To check orders go to your account in the apple store and check order status

  • Ordering Books with iPhoto 1.1.1

I just spent all afternoon creating my first book with iPhoto - the reversion that came with my original white iBook. Now it seems I can't order a printed book with this version - MyPublisher.com only works with iPhoto 5 or higher and I can't upgrade to v5.
Is there anyway to get a book out of my hard work? Or do I need to buy iLife and try to run it on my incredibly slow machine?

You can upgrade to iPhoto 2 for free here:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=120188
once installed Software Update in System Preferences will offer the last update iPhoto 2.0.1
iPhoto 2 will save your organization and upgrade the library
My publisher also requires OSX 10.4

  • Unable to buy book on iphoto

Hi I have created a photo book in iPhoto 11 and am unable to Buy Book, after inputting payment details. After accepting the terms and conditions the Buy Book button is not activated.

Just out of curiosity, had you tried restarting normally first and buying the book or had you only done the single restart in Safe Mode?
Also, had you been able to access the internet with the "Buy Book" button greyed out?

  • I ordered books from iPhoto and made a mistake only on the outside cover.  Is there a way to order just the paper covers with the correction?

I ordered books from iphot and made a mistake only on the outside cover. Can I order only the outside covers?

    No
Using the preview of the book you can save a PDF and a local printer probably can print one for you

  • Unable to order prints on iPhoto

I had been using my old Mac for years to order prints from iPhoto with no problems. Late last year, I upgraded my Mac to a 24" iMac with the newest version of iPhoto. Since I've had this machine, I've had trouble ordering prints. It usually gets partway through the process and then just hangs up. I've called tech support a few times, and they even referred this problem to Apple engineering since apparently a number of people have had this problem. Even after I followed the instructions to try to correct the problem from Apple's engineering group, it still doesn't work. This is one of the main things we use the computer for and we're very disappointed.
Does anyone have any ideas how to fix this? Are there any other photo services that are cost effective and link directly to iPhoto?

  • Trouble ordering Book on iPhoto

    Hi,
I created a picture book on iPhoto and pushed "Buy Book" to no avail...repeated attempts - all the same.
    What am I doing wrong?

another wild guess - renew your iPhoto preference - A good general step for strange issues is to renew the iPhoto preference file - quit iPhoto and go to "your user name" ==> library ==> preferences ==> com.apple.iPhoto.plist and trash it - launch iPhoto which creates a fresh new default preference file and reset any personal preferences you have changed and if you have moved the iPhoto library repoint to it. This may help
This does not affect your photos or any database information (keywords, faces, places, ratings, etc) in any way - they are stored in the iPhoto library - the iPhoto preference file simply controls how iPhoto works - which is why renewing it is a good first step.
