Unable to Perform Initial configuration

Hi,
I am trying to configure the WRT160NL router but getting some problem.
1. While installing the CD(received with the router) the Network configuration is not getting completed successfully. It is showing the "ERROR 322: New Router or Gateway Not detected"
2. Also when I am trying to open the http://192.168.1.1 it is unable to open the page.
Please suggest how to resolve the problem.

Be sure your PCs networking configuration is set up for auto obtain IP addressing.
Disable any PC security SW temporarily while setting up the router.
Internet Service Provider and Modem Configurations
What ISP Service do you have? Cable or DSL?
What ISP Modem Mfr. and model # do you have?
Is ISP Modem/Service using Dynamic or Static WAN IP addressing?
What ISP Modem service link speeds UP and Down do you have?
Check cable between Modem and Router, swap out to be sure. Link>http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CAT6 is recommended.
Check ISP MTU requirements, Cable is usually 1500, DSL is around 1492 down to 1472. Call the ISP and ask.

For DSL/PPPoE connections on the router, ensure that "Always ON" option is enabled.
If the ISP modem has a built in router, it's best to bridge the modem. Having 2 routers on the same line can cause connection problems: Link>http://www.practicallynetworked.com/networking/fixing_double_nat.htm and http://cognitiveanomalies.com/cisco-nat-how-nat-works/ If the modem can't be bridged then see if the modem has a DMZ option and input the IP address the router gets from the modem and put that into the modems DMZ. Also check the routers DHCP IP address maybe conflicting with the ISP modems IP address of 192.168.0.1. Check to see if this is the same on the ISP modem, and if modem can't be bridged, change the DIR router to 192.168.1.1 or .0.254.

We need to create a document with all the Initial Configuration steps but have checked the online documents and they just list a few.

ORA-01658: unable to create INITIAL extent for segment in tablespace

NEW REPOSITORY INSTALLATION ERROR!!
I want to install a new Repository using Oracle9iR9.2.0.1 and iDS10g on windowsXP Professional the same machine.
After running all the SQL scripts ( ckqa,ckvalqa,ckcreate,ckreport) with success to installing a new Repository on my Database using "the Scripts Method",I start the Repository Administration Utility( RAU) to scheck the priveleges and so on.
After pressing the Install button in the RAU:
-I take public synonyms
-I scheck the box for "Support Designer Objects", then
-The Repository size is Medium
-I have not change the defauft Tablespace of the Repository_Manager names TEMPORARY_TABLES to store the index and table of System Data....Diagram Data.
After Starting, the Installation began an stop by installing some Tables like schown :

When I read the Help of the Error the
CAUSE was: Failed to find sufficient contiguous Space to allocate INITIAL extend for Segment being created.
ACTION: Use ALTER TABLESPACE ADD DATAFILE to add additional space to the tablespace or retry with a smaller Value for initial.
I then try to resolve it by schecking and changing the Values of INITIAL_VALUE and NEXT_VALUE in the ckparams.txt to 500k.I change the Values of TEMPORARY_TABLES(10214 to 51200k) and TEMPORARY_INDEXES from (20000 to 100000k).Then I run the scripts @ckparams.txt, @ckvalqa, @ckcreate but
-pressing the Scheck Privileges Button on the RAU still give me 106k for the INITIAL_ and NEXT_VALUE.
-And the installato still stop with the same Error.
Question: How schould I resolve this Configuration?

You are running into database errors. You should refer to the database documentation on how to adjust the size your tablespaces. The online Designer installation guide will advise you as to the sizes of tablespaces you require. Error while initial configuration of ESR

Dear All
I have installed CE7.1 SP3 and ESR. I am doing the initial configuration of the ESR and following the Installation Guide - SAP Netweaver Composition Environment 7.1 SP3 - Developer Edition
I am in the configuration wizard of the nwa and trying to configure 'Configuration of ESR in CE'.

Hi,
Steps to be configiured after tnstalling CE 7.1 and ESR in NWA
1. Initial setup of Functional unit SLD
2. Configuration of Services Registry Webservice Destinations
3. then follow the step of Configuration of ESR.
make sure the above steps are successful.
Actually even I have got the same error but whoile trying the same steps it worked fine.

I am continuously facing problem while doing the post installation steps for Configuration of ESR in CE.

As I mentioned that the execution of the ESR failed when it reaced to 97%.
The error was it was not able to find some ..xi.. component and if you go to the log you will find that (come to the end in the log i.e. mentioned above)

And also I am following one help from 'http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwesrce/helpdata/en/46/b3a7d01b475a62e10000000a11466f/frameset.htm' and they say that you will have the 'zero admin template'.
But when I go to 'Configuration Management > Infrastructure > Java System Properties
In the template I can see 3 things and theya are:
1. instance_development
2. CE_Complete_Stack_development_full
ID43799
3. CE_Composition_Environment_development_full
and there is no zero admin template as given in the help that I getting from the above guide.
I think this is the issue (missing zero admin template)
I got this from the SMP but dont know when and how to deploy to CE.
Can you please help me in this.

Error in Opening Worklist -"Unable to perform the request.............."

On clicking on Worklist in portal, a user is getting the following error:
"Unable to perform the request. Try again. If the problem persists, inform your system administrator" error .
Any pointers will be of great help.

You see this error in a lot of situations. Where exactly is this issue happening ? (clicking on item or clicking on attachment....)
Check the UWL log and post more details. You may choose to increase the log severity to ALL.
1. You may try to assign the user more authorizations and check if it fixes the issue.
2. Make sure that the work item is still valid in the corresponding backend system.
3. Based on your UWLJWF version - check for available SAP Notes
4. If you have not already implemented, try to implement sapnote_0001133821 - UWL Destination Service Configuration
5. Make sure that the user id validity is far enough in the future in the backend system
6. Upgrade to the latest support pack

Error occurring in SOLMAN Initial Configuration

I have installed Solution Manager 7.0 EHP-1 on a Windows 2003 64-bit server.
Using u201CClient =001u201D transaction SOLMAN_SETUP, I performing the Initial Configuration, During that time I got below errors.
Server Details :-
         Server name = sapsolman
         SYSID        = SOM
         Database     = SQL
Error -1
           Runtime Errors UNCAUGHT_EXCEPTION
           Exception       CX_FQDN
I resolve by myself by adding u201Cicm/host_name_full = sapsolman.cpt.comu201D in parameter end as well as with u201CC:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hostsu201D , and proceeding further with Initial Configuration.
Error -2
When I am creating SOLMAN_ADMIN user I got below error
1- Business Partner 0000000101 successfully created for user SOLMAN_ADMIN
2- Role assignment to user SOLMAN_ADMIN Changed
3- User SOLMAN_ADMIN Sucessfully Created
4- u201C The selected templates do not contain any authorization data u201C      <----- Error
Error -3
               Next step in Initial Configuration returns the following error:
System SOM does not exist      <----- Error

Kindly give solutions for Errors 2nd & 3rd ASAP.

FQDN referes to Fully Qualified Domain Name - and this would indicate the FQDN has not been set in RZ10
parameter icm/Host_name_full has not been equated to the fully qualified Domain name of the server.
Is SOM and SID of a System? Has it been declared in SMSY?
Seems you may have some IMG activities left to do in SPRO...have you configured your BC Sets? Have you enabled HTTP Services, etc, etc?

Troubleshoot Error - Unable to perform table-based value assignment config

After to creating class, characteristics, and value assignment type, the system is unable to perform table-based value assignment configuration. The following error is displayed:

Based on the diagnosis, you can figure out that most likely someone is already editing the customizing table or might you are not authorized..
In case if you have the access to SM12 Transaction code, kindly check if an entry present there. If yes it means the table is locked and you can't proceed on that. you have to reach out to the specific resource to unlock the table who did a lock, else you need to reach out to BASIS to make that entry delete.
Regarding authrization for locking of table, please check SU53 after the execution of the T-code, if you are missing any role. If you find anything there, then reach out to your Security team to get and assigned roles to your profile.

SM 7.0 EHP1 SR1 - solman_setup initial configuration - No execute authority

I am performing the initial configuration step of SOLMAN_SETUP, when I receive the error below.
Error: E 002 No execute authority
Step: Get ABAP System Info
This occurs when I click the "Start J2EE Configuration" button on the J2ee Configuration screen(Step 3). This opens another browser window, where I enter the solman_admin user that was created in an earlier step. On the first screen, I enter the
Solution Manager Administrator(solman_admin), J2EE Administrator(j2ee_admin) user/password, as well as the password for the Technical Users (SLDDSUSER, etc).
The script then starts and stops on step 5 of 118, with the error shown above. Below is the output from the link provided on the error window. It is not clear to me, what execute authority is missing and for which user. Any suggestions on where to look for further details about this error, or possible solutions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks to all for the suggestions.
I first reviewed note 1451426, but the changes discussed in that note, were already present in my system.
I then performed a trace while repeating the error, but I did not find any trace output (at first). I then added SAP_ALL and SAP_NEW to users SOLMAN_ADMIN and J2EE_ADMIN (just in case), and repeated the initial configuration step. After adding these profiles, the step completed successfully.
One additional note, after reviewing the trace information closer, I did find the failing object that was causing the issue originally (see below). This occurred for user SOLMAN_ADMIN. The other option would have been to add this object/value to one if the roles in use, as Ragu had suggested.

Also, I noticed that in the trace, the only users reported were SOLMAN_ADMIN, SAPJSF and SLDAPIUSER, so the profiles were definitely not needed for user J2EE_ADMIN.

IFS-20010 : Unable to get service configuration properties

Hi all,
I am trying to connect to IFS using JDeveloper. I have coded a JSP which makes a call to my java class to connect.
I know that I can connect from my machine because I can run a simple application from the command line to create
a file in IFS.
Anyway, I set up my classpath under Project Settings as follows (same as my classpath on command line):

sorry for the late late reply but I didn't notice your answer.
Here are my answers:
(1) I monitored the behaviour on the CRM system, CRM 7.0, SP5
(2) The change should be implemented in the CRM system
(3) Deactivate buffering for scenarios marketing, sale and service via SM30 and table T770MATTR.
By doing this the initial load of 3.2 million business agreements took around 2 hours, with activated scenario buffering I was at least ten times slower.
After the initial load you have to activate the buffering again.
Interesting to know would be why the scenario buffering only affects the initial load of business agreements and no other object. As far as I know the scenario buffering is relevant for the organizational management.

Host: Unable to load application configuration + wrong install version on download

i am using 64 bit windows 7 ... when unable to playing video, it redirects me to the adobe download pages to get flash player ... the page says i am about to download flashplayer for win7 64 bit, of 9MB approximately, but the file i get has name "install_flashplayer11x32_mssd_aih.exe" (NOTE THE NUMBER 32) and this file just wont install it ends with error message: HOST: Unable to load application configuration ...
By google i found also file install_flashplayer11x64_mssd_aih.exe (NOTE THE NUMBER 64) ... this file runs the install, i get the final screen saying "installation completed" but after clicking the "finish" button i get an error message saying "an error occured while sending a command to the program" ...
I am just getting mad ... its 3 days i am trying to figure aout this problem ...
i also tryed files as "install_flash_player_11_plugin.exe" , "install_flash_player_11_plugin.msi" , "install_flash_player_11_active_x.exe" and "install_flash_player_11_active_x.msi" ... those files actually proceeds with the install, but at the end, the videos are still not displaying ...
When i am checking the plugins statuses in my firefox addons manager, it says Shockwave Flash is all right ...
The precedent version of flash player was working just fine, i do not understand why you must make such a mess every 2 months ...
How do i get work this?

but finaly i solved the problem ... i just installed the file found by google on some private page "install_flashplayer11x64_mssd_aih.exe" (NOTE THE NUMBER 64)

and after that i disabled the protected mode of flashplayer by adding a line in the cfg file

i must say its quite shameful one must get this torture to have movies playing on websites ... this cant happen at open source stuf, at least not for 3 days ...
and being already here and complaining, i must say also (i hope some adobe emploee will read this) i am quite disgusted (and i believe not only me) by adobes bad habit to provide other software than flashplayer, when they include mcafee antivir into the install ...
it is literally taking the user as a stupid one ...
if i will need an antivir, i will look for it ...
i just hate when some society tries to infiltrete in my comp some crap software counting on possibility that at the download i will not pay enough attention

Unable to load application configuration?

All of a sudden, a couple of weeks ago, adobe flash stopped working in Internet Explorer 10. I've gone through all the steps I can find on the forum to try to get it
to load. I even uninstalled it and the plug in for firefox, but it still wouldn't download, even directly. The error message that boinks and shows up as the exe file is installing it is:
Unable to load application configuration.
I'm running windows 7 pro 64 bit, service pack 1
Internet Explorer 10, 10.0.9200.16635 v 10.0.7
Adobe Flash version is gone, now that I uninstalled it to try to install, but was trying to install the update that it alerted me to, that is version 11.8.800.94, I think.
I went away from IE when there was no adobe flash for 64 bit, but came back and have enjoyed it. I see others have had similar problems, seemingly around installing an update.

Service template problem - Unable to perform the job because one or more of the selected objects are locked by another job - ID 2606

I’ve finally managed to deploy my first guest cluster with a shared VHDX using a service template.
So, I now want to try and update my service template. However, whenever I try to do anything with it, in the services section, I receive the error:
Unable to perform the job because one or more of the selected objects are locked by another job. To find out which job is locking the object, in the jobs view, group by status, and find the running or cancelling job for the object. ID 2606
Well I tried that and there doesn’t seem to be a job locking the object. Both the cluster nodes appear to be up and running, and I can’t see a problem with it at all. I tried running the following query in SQL:
SELECT * FROM [VirtualManagerDB].[dbo].[tbl_VMM_Lock] where TaskID='Task_GUID'
but all this gives me is an error that says - conversion failed when converting from a character string to uniqueidentifier msg 8169, level 16, State 2, Line 1
I'm no SQL expert as you can probably tell, but I'd prefer not to deploy another service template in case this issue occurs again.
Can anyone help?

Unable to remove a host from VMM - Error (2606) Unable to perform the job because one or more of the selected objects are locked by another job.

I am unable to remove a host from my Virtual Machine Manager 2012 R2. I receive the following error:
Error (2606)
Unable to perform the job because one or more of the selected objects are locked by another job.
Recommended Action
To find out which job is locking the object, in the Jobs view, group by Status, and find the running or canceling job for the object. When the job is complete, try again.
I have already tried running the following command in SQL Server Management Studio
SELECT * FROM [VirtualManagerDB].[dbo].[tbl_VMM_Lock] where TaskID='Task_GUID'
I received this error back:
Msg 8169, Level 16, State 2, Line 1
Conversion failed when converting from a character string to uniqueidentifier.
I have also tried rebooting both the host and the Virtual Machine Manager Server. After rebooting them both, I still receive the same error when trying to remove the host.

VMM Server OS = Windows 2012 Standard
VMM Version = 2012 R2 3.2.7510.0
Host OS = Windows 2012 R2 Datacenter
Host Agent Version = 3.2.75.10.0
SQL Server OS = Windows 2012 Datacenter
SQL Version = 2012 SP 1 (11.0.3000.0)

Hi there,
How many hosts are you managing with your VMM server?
The locking job might be the background host refresher job. Did you see any jobs in the jobs view, when the host removal job failed?
If there is no active jobs in the jobs view when this host removal job fails, can you please turn on the VMM tracing, retry the host removal, and paste back the traces for the failed job (search for exception and paste the whole stack)?
