Unable to Place Orders

For the past couple of months, I have been unable to place orders on Bestbuy.com when using only giftcards.  I have tried clearing my cache and using different computers, but the problem still persists.  The orders go through if part of the order is paid through Paypal, but there is no option to only pay with part of a gift card and leave a small amount to pay through another method.  Is this a sitewide problem, or is it specific to my account?

Wow, that definitely sounds frustrating!  I can certainly understand why you would be disappointed and confused as to why your orders made with Best Buy gift cards are not going through.
I did some testing and you should be able to pay partially by gift card as well as utilizing a credit card, PayPal or My Best Buy certificates.  My cart allowed me this option after adding a gift card to the payment.  What I would recommend is to try the following:
1.       Make sure that you are using the most updated version of your internet browser.
2.       Try a different internet browser if you haven’t already done so.
3.       You can also call us at 1-888-237-8289 and have an agent help you complete the order over the phone.
Is the order not letting you move forward when you use all gift cards or are the orders being cancelled once placed?  Any additional information about what you are seeing would be helpful!

  • Unable to place order with new credit card.

    I just opened a Best Buy Mastercard. I was under the impression I would be able to shop with it online immediately. That's what your site says and that's what the girl told me that helped me complete the process.
    I put the appliances I wanted in my cart and proceeded to check out. The checkout shows I have a Best Buy card linked to the account, but it keeps asking me for a security code from the actual card that I haven't received yet. I called the number back that I talked to when I completed the application process and they transferred me to another department. There I talked to a rep that had me go all through linking my card to the account again via "check your application status". When that changed nothing he said "hold on" and like some customer service reps do... he never came back. A woman finally picked up and asked what I needed. She told me there is no way you can shop online without the physical card in hand. Why is it stated that you can on your site?

    I'm having a similiar situation with my new Best Buy credit card. I was approved today (7/24/2015) and wanted to use it for an online purchase at bestbuy.com. After the congratualtions message from citibank, I tried too register numerous times using two different browsers but to no avail. It either froze up after submitting, or an error message "There has been an error while processing your request." I called customer service, and the rep told me to wait 7 to 10 days to receive the card. I tried to tell him that the website states I can use the card immmediately after approval. I asked rep to wait on the phone so I could duplicate. As I tried to explain the problem, he had already dropped the call. I'm frustrated with the entire process. Why aren't the customer service reps properly trained to solve these types of issues? Why is the web programming so poor by displaying a vague error message with no chat option or phone number to call and no one trained to solve this issue? What is the customer suppose to do at this point other than take one's business elsewhere?

  • I can get into a website but cannot place orders on websites

    I am unable to place orders on websites such as gap, the limited, etc. I can get into the site and bring up what I want to order, but when I go to click on "add to shopping cart," it will not go into the cart, therefore, I cannot place an order.

    Such a "add to shopping cart" button usually involves to create a cookie to store the ordered articles.<br />
    If that doesn't work then make sure that you are allowing cookies for that website (they may be using multiple domains).

    Ordering the column first takes place from the Data Model Itself.
    Please Check your column ordering in the report data model. If it is not ordered in a right way then Rearrange it.
    Remove your order by in query...

  • How to Validate an order once "Place Order" button is pressed

    We have a requirement which is, When customer places an order, we need to check if that order has Item 'ABC' in it.. If so, There should be another item 'XYZ' should also be in there. if not, we should throw error message on Checkout page itself. We don't want to customize the JSP as we don't have expertise. Can any one suggest the PL/SQL APIs where we can include this logic? or any other logic?. We just want to understand which API will get executed as soon as they hit that 'Place Order' Button on Check out page.

    I think it is too late to validate items during Place Order.
    I would suggest you should do it when you click the Checkout button.
    If you refer to ibeCScpViewA.jsp (which is used when we click on Checkout button)
    you can find ready code which loops over all the items in the cart.
    You can easily customize this page.
    If you still want to stick to Place Order, then you need to customize ibeCCkpOrdReview.jsp.
    but you will have to write a lot of code on your own.

    I am unable to place this flex value in the flex field, but i can do this same thing in a normal "Text Field" am able to reterive that number and place in that text field .
    Problem is placing the same in Flex field , please suggest me how to do this .

  • Does anyone know a fix for being unable to 'place' in Illustrator cs5?

    I have been using CS5 Illustrator for over a year now and have had no problems until yesterday when I opened illustrator and was unable to place any images.
    I can click on 'place' and go find the file, it appears to go through the right process then there is no image on the artboard at all, anywhere. Then I decided to open up previously made files that contain placed images and all they have is a bounding box with no image. The Links panel recognises the name of the file but no image is visable, even as a thumbnail.
    Has anyone else had this issue? I've been searching online for someone else with this problem and hopefully a fix but no solution as yet.

    FX has just provided an update that is suppose to fix this issue but the update fails to download...I guess I'll just wait a couple of hours until they fix it.
    In the meantime I turned off the plugin and it's now working. At the moment I just need to draw in illustrator so fonts aren't a worry for now.

  • Unable to place Photoshop psd file in Illustrator CS3

    Can someone help please???
    I am unable to place a Photoshop PSD file in Illustrator and be able to print the document correctly. The Illustrator file is saved as a ai file, both the document & PSD file are CMYK.
    On screen the document looks fine but as soon as I have printed the document, some of file has not printed.
    Do I need to have the Illustrator file as a eps file?
    I used to use an old Photoshop version that had a Export Image option, which was great for something like this, but CS3 doesn't have this option.
    Has anybody got any ideas what I am doing wrong?

    This seems to be an Illy problem, not Photoshop. You might want to check
    with the gurus there, but perhaps a few details, like what printer
    you're using and a few screenshots might help.

    I just installed Illustrator 17.1 on a new computer and I am unable to place (or copy and paste) an image file in to Illustrator. I do not receive an error. I've tried restarting and removing all of my Illustrator preferences.
