Unable to play Yahoo Games (Missing Plug-in) w/ Mac Book Air
Just purchased this MacBook Air...first time Mac user, and I'm unable to play yahoo spades on it. I've tried downloading Google Chrome but it still says "Missing Plug In"
I've been playing Yahoo spades since '03 so I'm pretty attached to it....would love to know how to get this to work...thank you

Yahoo games use internet plug-ins such as adobe flash and java. They do not come preinstalled with your mac and you have to install them manually.
I'm assuming you are using OS X Lion. Here are the download resources:

All at once, I am unable to play Yahoo Games. It tells me I am missing plug-in. I have tried downloading Java and when I try to install it, it says the "Update requires Mac OS X10.4.10 or higher. Mac OS X Tiger only". I have Mac OS X 10.7.5 Lion. Everything I have tried does not work. I have followed all instructions and I still get message missing plug-in. What am I doing wrong? How do I get back my games?
Uninstall the Oracle one, if you follow the Software Update instructions that is really all you need to do. I would also recommend you click the More Like This links to the right and see if you can find an answer.

Installed Java update three days ago. Now, can't play yahoo games as it's now blocked by security settings. Already have tried moving Java security to Medium and adding yahoo.games.com (including web address of game) as a "Permissive exception". Also tried removing java and installing older version. Still nothing. Really Apple?!? What's your beef with yahoo games?

all of the older update versions of Java SE 7 can be found here. If 7u45 also didn’t work with your Yahoo! games, you can choose from any of the even older versions there as well. -
Unable to play any games in iOS 6
Unable to Play any games after updating my iOS to 6 in iPhone 4. the application always continues to ask for the apple id password repeatedly.
Try a data or application disk or DVD.
If no disks are mounting on the desktop then your drive is still on the fritz and you should return to the place of previous repair and ask them politely to "repair it correctly".
Before taking it back in, you might want to attempt to clear the PRAM and NVRAM.
Command + Option + P + R to clear PRAM
And
Command + Option + O + F to boot into Open Firmware.
reset-nvram (press the return key)
set-defaults (press the return key)
reset-all (press the return key)
The Mac will reboot.

hey guys i have a question,
so i have the same problem for two of my apps, one is biike race, and the other game is snap chat. so each time i open one of these games i repeatedly get the "connect to itunes for push notifications" box coming up, and im unable to play the game, and i have to click my home button multiple times to get back to the main screen. i dont understand why this is happening and maybe you could help me out.There are a few other threads in this forum regarding this issue. It appears to me that this was once an issue with the iPhone, but has now started up again after the upgrade to iOS 4. My iPod Touch is ~ 2 years old and has had absolutely no problems. It is not jailbroken or altered in any way.
This pop-up started for me after upgrading to iOS 4. I did the restore to factory, reinstalled my apps and the problem returned. It appears my push notifications are working, which is good, but I have to click through the pop-up every time I enter an app that uses notifications.
This will go away when Apple fixes it. -
Qosmio X870 -GTX 670M - unable to play any games
Hi,
I received this new laptop about 3 weeks ago and since than i'm unable to play any games using the GTX 670M GPU. I'm able to access the game menu but within 30 second of playing any game i get a black screen and it takes me back to the desktop.
I have updated the driver and it shows in the device manager it is working properly. I have reinstalled the whole computer to factory setting but still the same problem. The strange thing is that i'm able to play all the games using the basic Intel HD 4000 GPU but not the GTX 670M. Please if any can help me i would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe you should use another driver from nVidia page.
There are also some 3rd party pages providing modified drivers.

I have the same problem, after 2 days I deleted my Tribez despite of level 39 and tried to download it again from different iTunes account, th e result is the same, got new game with the same message on it, reseted iPad 3 times, started new iTunes account, downloaded again...same result

I have set up my Yahoo account on my Mac Book Air but I am unable to send mail using Yahoo. The message goes to the outbox on the Mac but is not received by the recipient. It does not go to the sent box in Yahoo. Can anyone help with this please?
Go to mail preferences>accounts, make sure your outgoing server (SMTP) is set to the right network, not none.

I am having an issue in making power nap work on Mountain Lion on my mid 2011 Mac Book Air. It is enabled in system preferences but with time machine and sleeping overnight it did not seem to do hourly back up as stated or any other functions of power nap that I know of. it has been enabeled on both battery and plug in dc and I did leave it on plug in overnight.

If you get a dual-boot (e.g. boot camp) or an emulator on the Mac (e.g. Parallels Desktop) then you might be able to - but I think that you will need to install a version of windows on the Mac.
