Unable to position objects with x y coordinates
Every time I try to type in a new value for x or y coordinate, the original value replaces the new one automatically. I can move the object with the arrows but only by large increments. Anyone have an idea on how to solve that?
Your description is not clear but I guess that you are trying to set coordinates when the unit is set to centimeters.
Due to the fact that this unit is not a multiple of 72 (the default resolution) we can't use all values with two decimal digits.
But it seems that it was a problem of the past.
I made tests with the version 4.0.1 and every values with two decimals are now correctly applied and kept.

From your description this could be driver issues with a tablet if you use one or similar issues with a programmable custom mouse... Most definitely not an issue within the programs. Unplug your mouse and tablet, uninstall and reinstall the drivers, try another input device...

Spatial object with redundant geographic coordinates
Hi,
in my spatial table there are many entries with the same geographic coordinates (latitude and longitude). They are different sites with different site information. As I do a spatial query using MapViewer API method queryWithinRectangle(), the results of the sites with the same geographic coordinates can not be all retrieved or all rendered in the map. Has anybody met the same problems?

I need to retrieve the geometries and render them in the map. On the other hand, I need to retrieve the non-spatial attributes and diplay them in a list. The problems I met are that the both retrieval result sets are not identical. I guess, the redundant spatial information in the database leads to this disagreement. For example, in my spatial table two different rows have the same spatial information (latitude and longitude). My question are whether somebody knows this problem and what is the solution?

HELP!! Unable to select objects with the selection tool
Not sure if I accidently hit a key that I wasn't supposed to, but the selection tool stopped working the way it should. When I put the cursor on top of an object and click the mouse button, nothing happens. Also ctrl A doesn't work. Any suggestions? I've shut down and restarted and that didn't work.

To keep previously selected objects selected, ShiftClick the following ones.
If Ctrl+A does not select anything, and if no selection appears in the Info palette (select Objects in the flyout), something else is the matter, and it may be time to Move the folder -
Prob. Objects with same x,y,z coordinates appear at different positions
Hello,
I am having a problem where I have multiple objects with the same x,y,z coordinates but they appear at different positions on the screen. Could this have anything to do with scaling as I scale different types of objects differently. Also, I am using the simple Universe class and the objects that have the problem are added to the Universe when the program is running.
CBI have encoutered this problem in two occaisions. I have ships that fire bullets. When the bullets are created they are not in the same position as the ship that fired them even though they have the same translation vector.

i am using 10g.I have one problem like i unable to get the table access with out mention prefix for that table.
but i created public synonym and gave all grants to all users also. but still i need to mention schema name as prefix otherwise it give the error..
can any body tell me reason and give me solution.

Java or not - you need to package your server side language specific object into something that AS understands (text, XML, AMF object) and load this data into AS via, perhaps, URLLoader. Or you can open socket. Then you parse this data with AS3 code in SWF. -
Merging C4D 3D objects with AE camera tracked video
I am able to use CC AE's camera tracker track video, create a ground plane, targets, nulls, etc., and get objects created within AE to move along with the camera movement of the video that was tracked.
However, after I create a C4D "layer" (file), I am unable to align the 3D space of the C4D scene with the 3D camera generated by AE's camera tracker. After matching the position and perspective in C4D, the 3D object remains static and disregards any movement in the video. Selecting either the "Centered Comp Camera" or "Comp Camera" makes the C4D layer shink to about 1/20th of its size compared to the "Cinema 4D Camera".
Can anyone suggest a comprehensive, clearly explained tutorial on how to merge C4D 3D objects with video footage in After Effects?
thanks!You start by running AE's 3D camera tracker on your footage. Then you select tracker points and set the ground plane and origin. Then you either select another set of tracker points or use the same set to create a null and a camera or a solid and a camera.
Now you go to File>Export>Cinema 4D exporter. Save the File. You will get a C4D project with the Ae Camera and any other 3D layers you included in the comp.
Now add your elements in C4d and then import the C4D file into AE. Drag it to the timeline and select use comp camera.
That should do it. It's prety easy if you follow these steps.
If you created the c4D file first, then tracked the footage, you have to select Comp Camera in Cineware, then extract the comp camera in Cineware, then re position your elements inside c4D. This can be done but it is much more cumbersome.
I hope this helps. Just make sure that Cineware is always using the comp camera and that youare using the 3D Tracker Camera from AE in C4d when you are trying to arrange your scene.
Grayscale Gorilla has a tutorial that kind of shows you how to do this. They miss setting the origin and ground plane and there are much more effecient ways to arrange objects in the scene, but it should give you an idea of how this works. The best part of the tutorial is on lighting and color matchin inserted 3D objects. -

The errror message of MapViewer is nearly the same with some more informations about the spatial query and the coordintes of the query window. If I run that spatial query in the sqldeveloper it returns a result!
I did following stebs:
- saved a tiff-Image in a GeoRaster table with pyramid an tiled images.
- checked the sdo_geom_metadata --> they are correct
- checked the sdo_georaster object for the rdt table name and rasterid --> they are correct
- checked the rdt table --> objects with that rid are saved
- checked the mdsys.sdo_geor_sysdata table --> entry is correct
- validate the geraster with the sdo_geor.validategeoraster function --> object is valid
- updated the spatial extend of the image and try again the preview functio--> the same error
The databse server is a virtual Linux server with Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.1.0 - 64bit.
The web server is a Window 2003 R2 Server with a weblogic server and mapviewer patch 5 (Ver1033p5_B081010).
For a test I did the same (the same table script, the same raster data, the same import method) on a developer pc (WinXP Pro SP2) with Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.1.0 (32bit) the same mapbuilder version but with the MapViewer QuickStartKid and it works fine!!!
Has anyone an idea?

Unable to retrieve Object. Failed to load database information
I am getting the following error when trying to run my reports from Crystal XI with SQL Server 2005.

I have done some research on this but no luck on resolving the issue.
Any suggestions are welcome thanks.First thought is that the application cannot access the DSN or database driver that the report was designed on, this could be permissions.
I tried to ping my database and was unable to find the host. I was under the assumption it was using TNSNames which is able to resolve.
How can I validate the permissions?
As I said I'm a little lost here. Apologies if I ask stupid questions. -

I have recently re-installed Crystal Reports Server XI on a server after a disk failure. I had a backup of my CMS database. I reinstalled the Crystal Servwer without atttaching this database, however crystal did not create a new db so I attached my old one.
I have deleted all my old ODBC connections and recreated them with new names and then reconnected my reports in Crystal Reports XI using the "Set Datasource Location" option and the report works fine.But as soon as I try to view it after uploading it as an object onto the server, I get the above error.
Any help would be appreciated.I am tagging into this unanswered question as well because I think I have a similar issue. In my case I have a report which runs correctly in Crystal Reports designer but when I move it to the scheduler it fails on a "Failed to connect" to the report. In have used "Set data location" to no avail. When I go to Admin Tools and look at the complete list of datasources for all my reports this particular datasource is listed twice. The group of reports under one of the datasources works correctly. The reports listed under the second datasource all fail. The two datsources are spelled exactly the same and when I sompare the database details for a successfull and a failing report using this datasource they are the same (in the console and in infoview).

In the OMWB, I am unable to rename objects. For example, in the Source Model under the Views folder, I have a view whose name is 100 characters long. I want to rename it to a 30 character name (something meaningful and not system generated.) The on-line help says to use the menu to click on Object > Rename, but that is grayed-out. The only available options are delete and parse. Both of those work, by the way.
I just downloaded and installed OMWB last Thursday, so this is latest version of software. I also got the SQL Server 2000 plug-in, and it's installed correctly because I have been successful at migrating SQL Server 2000 to Oracle 10g.Hi Mark,
You are quiet correct. The OMWB does not allow you to rename schema objects in the Source Model. The only objects which can be renamed manually are tablespaces and users in the Oracle Model.
The workaround is to rename the view inside the Oracle Model PL/SQL editor. Then your view with get generated with the choosen name.
I have found the following in the OMWB help
"You can customize the Oracle Model by: Creating, deleting, and renaming objects "
This will be logged as a bug as not all objects can be renamed. Could you provide a link to the on-line help document which states "click on Object > Rename" as I am having difficulty finding it, and I will add this to the bug report.

Unable to process message with internal message
I am trying to find more information about this error I see in the App log. There are thousands of entries with different message IDs.
I have searched Google/Technet and cannot find anything that references this error message. Does anyone have any pointers on where to go to find the account causing this?

Unable to process message with internal message ID: XXXXXX. Mailbox System.Object[]'s ForwardingSmtpAddress %3 isn't valid. Active Directory may have been damaged.I have just started and taken over for the previous admin so am still learning the setup as well.
We have 3 Exchange 2010 servers (2 in the same location and one remote), all 3 have the same errors in event logs with varying message ids. Only 2 transport rules (One for large attachments and one to add a disclaimer) and both appear to be working correctly.
I was hoping to find a way to track down more information about the message based on the ID to see if I can find any similarities but have not found a way. I have found how to find the message ID based on sender/recipient/etc. but not the other way.
