Unable to power up Envy 4-1053TX

I can't seem to power up my Envy 4 Ultrabook after shutdown.  The power adapter is working fine as I've tried it on another identical model.  The power LED charging indicator has no light and the WiFi LED is on when I connect the power source to the notebook.  Any idea how I can solve this problem?  Thanks.

Normally a lit power led next indicates a power adapter in good condition.
You state you tried it on an identical notebook. What was the result of conecting the power adapter from said identical unit? 
Usually removal of the battery and a hard reset is the next step.  Unfortunately, your ultrabook does not have end user replaceable parts. I would certainly want to test the battery to see if it held a charge.  
Try a hard reset as follows:
1) Remove the battery and unplug the DC power adapter.
2) Press and hold the power button for more than fifteen seconds.
3) Plug in the DC power adapter (leave the battery out for now)
4) Press the power button

    Apple (and no one else) can not assist (with serial number or iCloud) in finding a lost or stolen iPad.
    Report to police along with serial number. Change all your passwords.

    Any one can help me on this.
    I have implemented Hyper-v 2012 R2 With SCVMM 2012 R2 and SMB file share storage for test the Microsoft Virtualization environment.
    I have created virtual machine machine also but unable to power on.
    Getting the below error for the job console in SCVMM.
    Error (12700)
    VMM cannot complete the host operation on the hyper-v-02.testlab.org server because of the error: 'Test-001' failed to start. (Virtual machine ID 96BF6EC1-B978-4C65-AF28-7088F1530673)
    The Virtual Machine Management Service failed to start the virtual machine 'Test-001' because one of the Hyper-V components is not running (Virtual machine ID 96BF6EC1-B978-4C65-AF28-7088F1530673).
    Unknown error (0x8000)
    Recommended Action
    Resolve the host issue and then try the operation again.

    There are too many reasons for this error. What is the size of the SMB share and what is the size of the VM Disks?
    If the size of the VM disk is 100 GB and the allocated size for the SMB share is more then it will fail to start.
    Try to create VM with very low resources and check if it can start.

    Connect the iPhone to your computer.
    DO U HAVE A BACKUP FROM BEFORE THE UPDATE???
    If so (and I hope you do) you can now restore the iPhone and put this backup on it.

    I would be concerned too if my iPhone was not powering on.  I found an article with steps you can take when you encounter an issue like this.  I recommend following the steps below:
    Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off
    Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
    Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIsand corrosion.
    Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
    After at least 30 minutes, if:
    The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
    The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
    Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
    If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.
    If the display turns on, go to step 4.
    If the display remains black, go to next step.
    Connect the iPhone to a computer and open iTunes. If iTunes recognizes the iPhone and indicates that it is in recovery mode, attempt to restore the iPhone. If the iPhone doesn't appear in iTunes or if you have difficulties in restoring the iPhone, see this article for further assistance.
    If restoring the iPhone resolved the issue, go to step 4. If restoring the iPhone did not solve the issue, seek service.

  • Unable to power down

    I have a MacBook Pro, lately it has been really slow and I am unable to power down without using the power button.  I am able to logoff just fine, but when I try to power down It just sits there with the little spinning icon.  i've left it overnight and nothing.  I have erassed the free space, removed everything from my trash.  Cleaned up my desktop thinking something would make a difference.  Any thoughts out there as to what else I can do?

    Reinstall OS X without erasing the drive
    Do the following:
    1. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions
    Boot from your Snow Leopard Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list.  In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive.  If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer.
    If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior and/or Tech Tool Pro to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.
    2. Reinstall Snow Leopard
    If the drive is OK then quit DU and return to the installer.  Proceed with reinstalling OS X.  Note that the Snow Leopard installer will not erase your drive or disturb your files.  After installing a fresh copy of OS X the installer will move your Home folder, third-party applications, support items, and network preferences into the newly installed system.
    Download and install the Combo Updater for the version you prefer from support.apple.com/downloads/.
