Unable to Pre-order Guns N' Roses' "Chinese Democracy" on Aussie iTunes!

Hi everyone,
Don't know if there are any other Aussie iTunes store users on here that can vouch for this problem, but ever since Chinese Democracy was put up on the store for pre-order I have not been able to pre-order and receive the single as a download and this is the message I keep getting after I click "yes" when it asks if I'm sure I want to pre-order the album:
The item you tried to buy is no longer available
The availability of the item changed while you were using the store. The same item may be available with a different price or elsewhere on the store.
What is going on?! Every other iTunes store in the world is allowing its users to pre-order this album so what's the problem with the Australian one?!

Oh my God, Apple is hopeless, just tried sending them a message to their support team about this problem and I get this coming up after I click "send":
Request stopped
Error: Program invalid (itunesmac_au)
- Your request has not been processed.
FFS!

Nope, wasn't abel to get anything from AT&T. Their site just wouldn't work. When it finally did, they had already closed all pre-ordering.
Using the iPhone Apple Store App, I was able to make a reservation to pick one up at an Apple Store (2 hours away), but there was no way to let me reserve two.
Apple's site (buyiphone.apple.com) has a help doc about buying Multiple iPhones which states: "How Do I Buy Multiple iPhones? Pick up your first iPhone at an Apple Retail Store and an Apple Retail associate can help you purchase additional iPhones."
But after calling the store where I have my reservation, they said that was not the case, and they do not have any additional phones for pre-order.
Ugh. This pre-sell was a mess.

Why is it that I pre-ordered an album and it says 'Purchased' in iTunes but it's not in my music library?

I also tried logging out then going to the album and purchasing it then logging into my Apple ID but it still says "Purchased" but not in my music library.
Any help please?

I pre-ordered two versions of the same album on ITunes! How to stop?

So a few minutes ago I accidently preordered 2 versions of the same album on Itunes on my dell laptop! I want to cancel one, but i dont know how! It told me that you pay for it when it is realsed in November so I have not payed yet for either.

Select all the songs from the album, choose File--> Get Info, then under the Album area, type in the appropriate album title. They should all appear under one album at that point.

Has Anyone Created a Successful Pre-Order Page?

I've submitted my second book, and still, I'm unable to get the pre-order function to work. Or maybe I'm misunderstanding it?
I assume that if I allow pre-orders when I create my package in iTunes Producer, that after I upload all my assets, etc., and they successfully import, that a pre-order page for that book should appear on iTunes.
However, for both of my books, this has not happened. They still are pending approval, but there has never been any sort of pre-order page on iTunes in the bookstore.
Has anyone successfully created a pre-order for one of their books titles? I've tried contacting Apple but only get a generic response that doesn't really explain anything. ; (

You can set a pre-order start date for each territory in iTunes Producer. According to the iTunes Producer 2.6 User Guide, the date must be earlier than the sales start date. If you don't want to offer pre-order, you are supposed to leave that date blank.
The user guide says that, if you set a pre-order date, the publication will not be shown in the store until that date. It does not say that, if you set that date, the book will be shown starting on that date (or any date before it becomes available, for that matter).
The user guide also says the following:
Important: Pre-orders require minimal manual production work by iTunes. When you deliver a book that is
available for pre-order, contact your iTunes Technical Account Manager. Pre-orders must conform to the
following specifications:
All assets (EPUB, iBooks format, cover art, and screenshot files) are due up front.
You can only create pre-orders with the first, initial delivery of the book package.
You cannot make any changes to the pre-order once you deliver a book package to the iBookstore with
a Pre-Order Start Date.
Each territory where you are sending a pre-order (each territory where you defined a pre-order start
date) must be priced at a valid price tier.
Do not send pre-order start dates for territory products that have been marked not cleared for sale. Only
deliver book packages with pre-order start dates assigned for territory products that are cleared for sale.
Given the current track record in getting books into the store, I would guess that pre-order is something that would only happen for blockbuster titles from large publishers, where actually a significant volume of pre-orders can be expected. For the pre-order to go through into the store, someone still has to review the book, which isn't worth doing for something that sells a few dozen copies a month.

The Witcher 3: Collector's Edition Pre-order

I went in to my local Best Buy yesterday to pre-order about half a dozen games that are upcoming and the first one on my list was The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Collector's Edition for PS4 (SKU 7280019). However, the employee was unable to locate it in the system and the SKU wasn't showing up so I was unable to pre-order the item.
My issue lies in the fact that if I pre-order online, I have to pay in full today, as opposed to placing a deposit on my item and picking it up from the store. I really want to pre-order this Collector's Edition by just placing a deposit like I can and did with everything else.
Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks for your interest in pre-ordering the collector's edition of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt with us! I haven't played either game in the series so far, but I've heard good things about them both.
I realize this may not be the answer you were hoping for, but it's my understanding that all available inventory of all three collector's editions (PC, PS4, XBox One) has already been allocated. Since collector's editions are also usually limited quantity items, it's unlikely that we'll receive any more. The best advice I can give would be to keep an eye on BestBuy.com and follow up with your local store the closer we get to the game's release date for updates.

Can't Pre-Order new Coldplay Album!!

I hope someone can help with this.
I am trying to pre order the coldplay album Viva la vida and get the single thats out now. When I go to press pre order I get the following message: "Are you sure you want to pre-order "Viva la Vida? Your account will be charged...etc"
I click "Pre-Order"
Next window says: "Warning: Your remaining credits are insufficient or inapplicable to this purchase....Your credit card will be charged for some or all of this purcahse."
I click "Get"
Next window says: "We could not complete your iTunes Store request. An unknown error occured (1008). There was an error in the iTunes Store. Please try again later."
I bang head against table....
Anyone know what to do from here?? I can download anything else except this album. Thanks!

I had the problem of getting my pre-order this morning so I went to the iTunes Support and left a message. An hour and a half later, I was able to download it BUT it was the regular version and not the higher quality iTunes Plus version. So I put another request in to them about that. Still waiting to hear from them. My download did include the acoustic track though.

Why should i pre-order a movie?

What are the reasons behind pre-ordering a movie rather than waiting for its release? If you pre-order, does the movie automatically download into your iTunes library upon release?

I have no idea why you would do this.

How do I 'un' pre-order something?

So I just saw that fall out boy had an album coming out. So I checked my blance before I even pre-ordered it, it told me I had Twelve dollars and thirty five cents left. So I pre-ordered it,well it turns out that the itunes store was lagging so when i went to check how much I had left it said i had '$9.35' left. Well I'm flipping out becuse i have no clue how to undo this. I don't have itunes downloaded on my computer i bought it on my iPod.. id there i way i can cancel it on my iPod?

When a pre-order item becomes available, you will receive an email letting you know your pre-order is available for download.
If you've enabled iTunes to automatically download prepurchased content, then your pre-order content may already be downloaded to your library. If not, simply click the download link provided within your email notification, and your pre-order content will begin to download. Alternatively you can use the "Check for Available Downloads" feature in iTunes on your computer by choosing Store > Check for Available Downloads to begin downloading your pre-order.

Pre-order errors: Chemical Brothers

I preordered the new Chemical Brothers album last week, and it went on sale today. iTunes won't let me access my preorder to download it and keeps replying that it's not available in the US.
Help!
It's aggravating that I spend money on buying songs to "support" the artist when I can't have the music I'm trying to pay for. Why am I bothering to buy the album when I can't download it? I guess next time, it'll be easier to just go find an album somewhere else for free.

Hmmm---maybe you're not aware of the debacle re: the "T.I. vs. T.I.P." pre-order two weeks ago. The bonus item associated with the pre-order was delayed and it took days after the album became available commercially for the pre-order customers to get theirs.
My questions: have you gotten an email from iTunes telling you your Chemical Brothers pre-order is available for download?
Are there bonus items associated with this pre-order download? Do you want these bonus items?
If you got an email--try clicking on the link in the email to download your album.
If you haven't gotten an email and there are bonus items associated with this album--then they aren't available yet and that's the reason for the delay.
Now you've got a big decision. You can cancel your pre-order and download the version currently available on iTunes (sign into your account, find your pre-orders and cancel the Chemical Brothers one).
Or, you can be patient and wait for things to get sorted out. (Check some of the back threads to see how impatient T.I. fans were!)
I know this isn't ideal advice and I'm sure you're eager to get this CD (that's why you pre-ordered it!), but if the bonus items are important--a day or two wait will be worth it, trust me! Otherwise, how will you get these things?

Why can't I buy a movie that I pre-ordered, with the iTunes card already redeemed?

See, I bought an iTunes card the other day and redeemed it that same day. After doing so, I pre-ordered a movie that was expected to be released on the 18th of March(today). So I tried to purchase the movie I pre-ordered with the credit I redeemed from the iTunes card, but it is asking for my billing information. So I clicked on the link where it says "To redeem code, click here", and it asked me to enter a code. My concern is why can't I buy that movie I pre-ordered with I the money I have in my iTunes account?

You didn't purchase the movie, you pre-ordered it. So the code works to put in the pre-order for the movie. So it's on hold, so to speak. Then when the movie comes out (and only then) are you actually billed, so you have to enter the code again in case you or someone else who has access to your computer used some -- perhaps too much of the credit in the meantime.
If I use a regular credit card and pre-order something, oftentimes there is some kind of perk or extra included along with it for me in return for pre-ordering. Like an extra feature for example. I don't actually get billed until I actually get the movie and so it's kinda like that.
Did you lose the code?
If you did, I'm sorry, but you could call Apple & hopefully they will make things right.
