Unable to Print a Web Services Information Sheet to Obtain a Claim Code

I'm trying to add a HP LaserJet Pro 200 color MFP m276nw as an ePrint device.  I've successfully updated the printer firmware.  When I enable the web services the Print Information Sheet button appears, but nothing prints when I click it and I'm unable to obtain a claim code.
I'm stuck.  I'm not sure where to go from here...
This question was solved.

If you have successfully enable web services, you have a couple of options:
1. use your IP address, input it into your web browser and browse to the embedded web page. Go to the web services tab and find the email address assigned to your printer. It should be something like [email protected] The printer code will be everything before the @ sign.
2. Go to your control panel. Click on the web services icon (icon on the far left). Click on display email addres. Printer code will be everything before the @ sign.
3. Print a configuration page. Tools icon - reports - config page. In the right column, locate HP Web Service (bottom right) - printer email address - printer code will be everything before the @ sign.
Use the xxxxxx before the @ sign for the printer code to register the printer at HP Connected.

  • HP LaserJet Professional P1102w won't print Web Services Information Sheet

    Hi there.
I've spent the last frustrating three hours trying to get the Web Services Information sheet to print on this printer. I need this sheet in order to register for ePrint.
I connect fine wirelessly on my computer to the printer. I have updated the firmware. Twice, to be sure.
I have gone to HP Web Services and clicked Enable
The message I then get is:
"A Web Services information sheet will be printed. Review the sheet for important information."
    However, nothing prints.
I have tried this process with the computer connected wirelessly through my network. I have tried it with the computer connected to the printer via USB. I have printed other things on the computer this way.
I have tried rebooting the network and the printer and then reconnecting
    I have tried these steps:
    http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/ePrint-Print-Apps-Mobile-Printing-and-ePrintCenter/eprint-printer-code-...
(I changed the preferred DNS from 10.0.1.11 and the alternate DNS from 8.8.4.4. to the values suggested)
Afterwards, there was no change. My printer continued to print in every way possible. However, it will not print the Web Services Information Sheet.
I'm very keen on getting my hands on this email so that I can register for ePrint. Can anybody help me? I would be hugely grateful.

Sorry to hear you were unable to setup the wireless again on the p1102w.
I have provided some steps in resetting up the p1102w on wireless network if you decide
to do it again in the future.
Reset the printer back to factory settings.
(turn printer off then hold down the x and the wireless button while turning on the printer until the lights start blinking then release the buttons.
Disconnect the usb cable from the printer.
Disconnect the routers power cable for 10 seconds and then reconnect it again.
Uninstall the p1102w from the computer.
(open cd  and select uninstall or go to uninstall a program from the control panel.)
Run the cd again or download depending what operating system you are running.
Connect the usb cable when prompted to setup the wireless again.
Enter passwords for the network when prompted.
Disconnect the usb cable when prompted.
Should be able to print out the test page now.
Then you should be able to get the web services information sheet to print but will need to print out a self test on the printer to get the new ip address for the printer.

  • Web service information sheet

I have a officejet J4540 all in one printer

    Hi golfersusieq,
    Thank you for the update.
Here is the link for connecting a classic printer with Google Cloud Print as a separate link. https://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?cc=us&lc=en&docname=c03561640
Also here is the link for the home page for Google Cloud Print.  http://www.google.com/cloudprint/learn/
Hopefully the link separated from the title works for you. If neither link works try searching for connect classic printer google cloud print and the first option should be the page you are looking for.
I'm hoping that this time the links work for you.

  • My printer won't print the web services information sheet

    Hi,
My HP photosmart premium all-in-one printer will not print the web services information sheet.  both eprint and web services are on and it's showing a printer's email address.
however, when i click 'Print Report' i get a message that it's been requested and may take a moment but nothing happens.
    any ideas?
    A

    Hi Cocklina,
I would suggest you to turn the printer and the router off and retry.
If that does not go through.
Then on the printer under the setting go in to network restore network default.
Then go back in the network option on the printer select Wireless set up wizard.
It will give you a list of network, select the one which is yours.
Then try printing the info sheet for the ePrint.
    Thanks

    Hi GayleneC,
Thank you for the update and additional information.  I truly appreciate it.
You indicated that you tried to update the firmware, I’m wondering since the printer isn’t connecting to web services that it might not have connected to check for firmware updates.  I’ve included two links, one is for the Windows version of the HP LaserJet Pro Series Firmware Update Utility the other is for the Mac version of the HP LaserJet Pro Series Firmware Update Utility. Please choose the one for your operating system and let’s try and update the firmware without using the front panel of the printer.
After running the firmware update utility, please disable the IPv6 wireless through the embedded web server.  Please follow the steps below:
To open the HP Embedded Web Server, type the product IP address into the address line of a Web browser. When it opens it should look like the screen shot below.
Please click on the ‘Network’ tab as highlighted in the screen shot above.
Please click on ‘Advanced’ in the left hand side menu as shown above. Please uncheck IPv6 and click on ‘Apply’.
Please click on the ‘HP Web Services’ tab.
Please click on the ‘Enable’ button. The Web Services information sheet should print.

  • HP7520 Unable to Connect To Web Services

I just (today) purchased a HP Photosmart 7520. I set it up and configured it to my wireless network. I have an Mac Airport Router. I have 1 Mac and 2 PC's printing to it fine (off the wireless network). The problem is that when I go to setup my eprint it says Unable to Connect to Web Services. The wireless report shows no errors and says its connected to the internet. HP support had me go into the service mode (a series of button pressing) and do a semi full reset which did not help the problem. Any ideas on why I can not connect to web services? HP spent about an hour on the phone with me and could not resolve.
    Thanks

    Hi jreyn25,
Thank you for taking the time to respond.
Please run the wireless setup wizard on the front panel of the printer. If you are unsure how to do this, the steps can be found on page 48 of your User Guide in the section titled “To connect the product with the Wireless Setup Wizard”. After connecting the printer you will be prompted to print a report. Please choose to do so. I have included a screen shot of what the report should like.
I highlighted where you should find the printer’s IP address on the report. Please try and connect to the printer’s IP address that is showing on the report.   If you get a security pop-up when trying to get the embedded web server (EWS), choosing to continue will not harm your computer while you navigate within the EWS for your printer. If you encounter this error outside of your printer’s EWS, your computer could be at risk. You can find this information in the document titled Printer Does Not Maintain Wireless Connection.
Please let me know how it goes.

  • Are there any shortcuts to connecting the printer with web services and/or the eprint server?

(HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus, IE, Windows 7)
As I am unable to execute the instructions given by
by Ryamond 1411, I'm looking for  other avenues to connect my printer to web services and/or
the eprint server so I can release 4 emails for printout now stuck in que.

    Hello MurrayJ,
The first thing I would do is follow step six in this document to set a static IP: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c02817031&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&product=4023246&tmp...
When it askes for DNS information, enter in Google's DNS. Preferred DNS = 8.8.8.8 Alt DNS = 8.8.4.4
If that does not help, if you could provide me with the following information it would help me out. First, who is your ISP( Internet Service Provider, i.e. Comcast, AT&T, Verizon, ect.)? Second, who is the maker of your router? Lastly, what is the model number and firmware version of your router?

  • Unable to start xsp web service - Windows Client

    Hi all,
I've got a problem with the Windows client (Windows 7 64-bit). When I start the client I get an error that says:
Unable to start xsp web service, iFolder will not be able to work, restart the application.
The client actually starts up. However, I'm unable to do anything with it. Are there any logs I can provide that may give you a bit more insight into what's going on?
I can connect from my mac client and a colleague can connect (from outside the firewall) from his Windows client.
    Any thoughts?
    Many thanks,

Hello -  I used to be able to scan to e-mail with no problems and then all of a sudden I keep getting the "Unable to connect to Web Services" error message.  I have checked my network connection and it is fine, I have turned off my router and unplugged my printer but still no luck.  I have seen that this seems to be a common problem from others in this forum but I was hoping someone could help me figure this out.
I really need to be able to scan documents to my e-mail..... ughh... please help!

I am not 100% as to the steps you have tried in attempt to resolve the Scan to Email issue on the 7520, but I would like to offer the steps I have given in another Thread.

    Gary,
I'm having the same problem, unable to connect to web services.  Can you help?

    Hi @VinceASal,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums.   I understand that you are getting a connection error message when trying to enable web services on your Photosmart 7525 printer.
Please set manual IP address and manual DNS servers for the printer.  If you are unsure how to do this I have included a link to another post that has the steps, including screen shots, on how to do this.  Please do not worry that the screen shots are for a Photosmart 7510, the steps are the same.
Please let me know the outcome.
