Unable to Print on CardStock. I am using the HP 8600 Premium AIO

Printer : HP 8600 Premium AIO
I have bought the printer yesterday and I have changed the printer setting to use Card Stock. Still it does not print.
Please help.
Thank you,
Best regards,

Travis,
I have tried the solutions below from the link
Solution one: Restart the All-in-One
- I have done this a couple of times. Regular paper prints fine.
Solution two: Check the condition of the paper, and then reload it
- Just purchased the paper with the printer. I have tried to loosen them, sometimes it helps.
Solution three: Clean the paper rollers
- Brand new printer, it has barely printed 25 sheets. Also regular paper prints like a breeze.
Solution four: Reset the All-in-One
 - Tried this, regular paper prints. Cardstock is still not printing
Solution five: Adjust the paper settings in the print driver
- I have done this. It was mentioned in one of the posts that the rollers need to adjust to pick up thicker paper.
( I wish I could attach the images, but not able to get the popup to add the images)
Solution six: Service the All-in-One
- Trying to avoid this for now.
Thank you,
Best regards,
Soumitra

  • Unable to print to network HP 3845 using Windows 7

I have an HP 3845 Color Deskjet connected directly to a machine running Windows 2000 with printer sharing enabled.
All of my Windows XP Laptops have been able to print to this printer over my wireless network. However, I have been unable to get my new laptop running Windows 7 to use this printer.
The Windows 7 laptop could not find the correct driver when I tried to configure it using the wireless connection.
I then connected this printer to my laptop directly using the USB port and the laptop detected and configured the printer correctly for this connection.
I then re-connected the printer to my Win2k box and tried to change the configuration of my Windows 7 box to have the printer accessed via a TCP/IP port. It looks to be configured correctly to me but it never successfully prints a test page.

    James,
I'm sorry to hear that you were having the same problem under 9.5.  I had recently updated to Adobe Reader 10 under Windows 7 and yesterday my "default printer" simply disappeared from the options on my control panel.  I re-installed my printer, but today whenever I would open a PDF document and try to print it, the document would simply close with no further ado.  After a bit of trial and error, I ended up uninstalling Adobe Reader 10 and going back to Adobe Reader 9.5.  Now everything is working just fine.

Since upgrading to v 4.01 I am unable to print from a .pdf opened in the browser. How can I fix this?
I can save the page, open in Adobe Reader and print. When in the browser the File - Print command does nothing. Printer screen does not open.
    Windows XP, all updates installed.

    Hi,
One thing to slow it down: low ink. Please check ink cartridges and replace if required.

Just installed a HP Color Laserjet CM2320nf MFP printer, at the same time I upgraded to Lion. It prints fine, but I cannot use the scan functions.  I downloaded the most recent driver! Any help would be appreciated.

HP says that the drivers for your all in one print/scanner are downloadable from apple. For the scanner to use preview. image capture or the scan icon from the print driver queue.  I don't know how old your HP is, but I know that the newer Os from apple don't support a lot of older printers. You might be able find a third party driver that could work.

I have an Ipad and about to buy a Macpro.  My husband has a PC with XP operating system with a printer/scanner. Do I need to buy my own printer or can we both use the same printer?

It depends. The Mac Pro may come with Lion, or at least 10.6.8, and some printers are no longer supported (Windows 7 either).
Also, you have to download drivers, sometimes from vendor. Sometimes apple has some thru software update, but not always.
without knowing printer make/model it is next to impossible to say for certain one way or another. If you do buy new printer, you can walk away with more power in injet, laser, and scanners to make it worthwhile. I had to update all of those when support was dropped. amazing how much faster and better the new models are, and for much less.

Which operating system are you using?
In photoshop elements 6, as far as i know, you can only change the Reference Point Location for transforms using the small grid in the left hand corner of the tool options bar with Transform enabled.

A number of vendor drivers written for OS X cannot be used when connecting via SMB to a printer that is shared by Windows. This is due to limitations of the driver.
In some cases, if you were to enable the LPD Print Service in Windows, you can connect to the share using the same syntax as SMB but on the Mac you would use the LPD as the protocol.
If you can reply with the brand and model of printer you have then we may be able to provide more information.

If it's a store's demo model then as far as I know only Apple can potentially change it's iOS version to a non-demo version - you've tried Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content And Settings directly on the iPad ?

When Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) is enabled, using the ActiveX control to print reports from a Crystal 10 DHTML viewer results in the following error message:
"A communication error occurred, printing will be stopped."
How can this error message be resolved?
    Resolution
This is a known issue with Crystal Reports 10 and Crystal Enterprise 10 viewers and has been tracked. The Track ID is ADAPT00282199.
This error occurs due to the receiving application performing a case-sensitive check for the HTTPS request header value "ON". When a sender application sends the value as "on" in lower case, the error occurs. The update below changes the receiving application to be case-insensitive.
Hot Fixes or Service Packs address this issue as indicated below. With the updates, this issue is resolved.
Unless indicated otherwise, Weekly Hot Fix updates from our FTP site have only been tested with English versions of products.
For Crystal Reports 10 and Crystal Enterprise 10, the update for this issue is included in the Crystal 10 Viewers Weekly Hot Fix (WHF). This is available in English only at the following location:

  • Unable to print chinese characters in Smartforms use Zebra printer

    Hi,all.
My printer is Zebra ZM400 300dpi,I created a new output device 'TestDevice' and use the Lzeb3 Device type.
In my smartofrms i used the Zebra command to rotated text. Now the smartforms counld not print chinese characters but '#' instead.(style font 'ANDALE_S')
    Anyone could help me....
    Thanks Advance.
    Andy Lee.

    Hello Andy,
If you use the device type LZEBU3 with font ANDALE_S, then when you print then the SAP system
send a print control for activating the ANDALE font installed on the printer, and the text should
    be outputed over this font.
When you get # during print then this means that the device type or the SAP font don't support
this character(this was the original problem), when you get a "space" then this means that the
font which is used by the printer don't support this character.
I think this can have 2 causes in your case:
    1. The SAP system use the print control SF000 when you use ANDALE_S, which contains
the print control ^CI17^F8 in HEX form. This should activate the ANDALE font on your printer.
    (You can find this under tr. SE73 -> Printer Fonts -> LZEBU3 -> ANDALE_S)
You should check wheter this is the correct print control. You should find on the printer an option
which list you all installed fonts, and also the print control which can be used for activating it.
Compare this print control from the printer with the above print control from the SAP system.
If you see a differnce then change the print control in the SAP system.(Before you do that please
copy the device type LZEBU3 into customer namespace, don't change the original SAP device type)
    2. The font installed on the printer don't support the character which you use. Contact Zebra to confirm this, and ask for a ANDALE font which supports the character.
    Best regards,
    Norbert

  • Unable to print to HP b209-a using new router

I have a new wireless router Netgear R7000. The printer was originally setup with a computer now longer available. I am now using a HP G71-340US notebook running windowws 7 64 bit.  I need to print from the HP notebook wirelessly. I would like your help in getting the computer, router and printer working with each together. I also have an iPad2 that I would like to print from but that is not as critical as the notebook. Thank you in advance for any help.

    Hello @dcavana,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums!  I understand you would like to setup your HP Photosmart Plus B209a with your new wireless network. I would love to get you up and running, please follow the steps listed below:
From the front panel of your PS B209a:
Setup Menu > Network > Restore network defaults > YES
Now we can go ahead and run the installation software, please remember you will need a USB cable to do a USB to Wireless configuration, the USB is only needed for the wireless setup and can be unplugged when prompted by the on screen instructions. Click on the link to get started:
Setting Up the Printer for a Wireless Network for the HP Photosmart Plus
Here is a link to the full feature software and drivers, when needed:

  • Unable to print multiple copies of PDF using reader X with new Windows 7 computer

I recently upgraded to a new Windows 7 computer.  Now when I try to print a PDF I can only print one copy.  I have checked that my Mopier Mode is enabled and have tried everything I can think of.  Why could I print multiple copies with Windows XP but can't with Windows 7?

    How does that manifest itself:
you cannot change the number of copies on the Print panel?
you can change the number of copies, but it prints only one?

  • How can I select pages to print from a Word document using the report generation 'print report' vi?

I have researched the knowledge base and found:
Printing A Range of Pages or Number of Copies of a Report Using the Report Generation Toolkit in LabVIEW.
This seems to be from a previous version of LV. I am using LV2010. The instructions given do not match up with the current vi. The information did provide a tip and drilling down into  the vi I was able to insert the from/to page numbers at the printout invoke method, however this prevents the print function from working in that it can no longer find the default printer.
    The error message is:
    Error 1015 occurred at NI_ReportGenerationToolkit.lvlib:Word_Print.vi -> NI_Word.lvclassrint Report.vi ->
error 1015 is: Printer is not responding. Check printer configuration.
Any ideas how I can make the modification to print, for example, pages 24 through 29 out of a 32 page word document?
    Thanks,
    Chris

Hello, take a look at this article. Unfortunately the Generate Report Get Data to Modify.vi was remove since RGT 1.1.3 release. That being said, we can try to find a workaround. See "Configuring a Printer Through the Windows Dialog in LabVIEW", open the GetPrinterSettings.vi, at the PrinterSettings property node you can select the from/to page. I hope this helps.

  • Printing lists in ABAP without using the standard button

    Dear community,
i've got a little problem and I can't fix it on my own.
Some user in our company gave me the instruction to extend an existing SAP Programmm with some defined functionalities.
They want to implement an new button for printing in the gui status and when someone uses the buttons they want to count down a number and print the generated list of the report.
I created also the new button in the gui status with a own functioncode and in the report i implemented an own AT USER-Command event:
    **&   Event
    AT USER-Command.
      CASE sy-ucomm.
        WHEN 'PRVR'.
          CALL FUNCTION 'PRINT_REPORT'
            EXPORTING
              report = sy-cprog
           EXCEPTIONS
             OTHERS = 99.
When I push my own print button th reports jumps in the At-user-command event.
The window for chosing the print properties will appear immediatly and I cn start printing.
But only the spool-order will only appear when I leave the list-view with the button "back", "exit", or "cancel".
Has anyone an idea why the output appears only when I go back to the selection screen?
Can anybody tell me how to create an printing function to print out the list of an abap-report? I don't wnt to use the normal print-button!
    Many thanks in advance.
    Michael

    Hi Michael,
sy-lsind is the list-id. If you set it to 0 or 1 it jumps (when using BACK)
    to the first output-list.
Here a short demo-code to understand it.
Make severeal time doubleclick in the outputline and
    look at the changing output.
    try it with:
    sy-lsind = 1
    and
    sy-lsind = 1.
    REPORT ZGRO_TEST1.
data: dc type i value 1.
    START-OF-SELECTION.
      WRITE: / 'List:', dc, 'SY-LSIND:', SY-LSIND.
      HIDE:    SY-LSIND.
    AT LINE-SELECTION.
      dc = dc + 1.
    sy-lsind = 1.
      WRITE: / 'List:', dc, 'SY-LSIND:', SY-LSIND.
      HIDE:    SY-LSIND.
    Hope it helps.
    Regards, Dieter
