Unable to print PDF documents from HP Photosmart C5250

Has any else experienced this? I'm using Vista, have an HP Photosmart C5250 printer. Until a few weeks ago, I had no printer issues. Now, I can print all documents other than PDF files. Thinking the problem was reated when I downloaded Adobe Reader 9.3.4, I uninstalled that version, reinstalled Adobe Reader 8.2.0 and Adobe Flash Player ActiveX. However, it didn't resolve the problem. HP support says my printer drive is up to date. Any ideas for me?

Do you have Acrobat and Reader? This is the Acrobat forum. If so, when you uninstalled Reader without re-installing Acrobat you may have damaged something. If you don't have Acrobat then you are in the wrong forum. Your best bet might be to uninstall your printer driver and the re-install your printer driver.

  • After installing update 11.0.07, I have been unable to print pdf douments from websites displayed in I.E. 11

I just installed 11.0.07 and since then have been unable to print pdf documents from websites displayed in I.E. 11 (32 bit). The problem did not exist until I installed the update. Opening the same sites with Chrome solves the problem, but some of the important sites I use, (FAA WebOPPS for instance) don't work with Chrome or anything other than I.E. for that matter. Does anyone know if Adobe is aware of the bug and working on a fix?

Let me put it in context.I am a developer, and in my work we create a flex application a few years ago and we are providing support to this application. Since 2 days ago th button we create in our application for View PDF just stopped working. We use this code:
    public function navigate( url:String ):void
      navigateToURL( new URLRequest( url ), OPEN_NEW_WINDOW );
It is very simplistic and worked fine as I told you, until Tuesday this week. Please tell me what happened, it seems the last plugin version crashes somewhere and my button just does not work any more.
    Thank you.

i'm unable to print pdf file from certain web site. I just changed over to Mavericks.

You will need to access that PDF on your computer first, before you can print it — unless that PDF is corrupted, which occasionally happens. Your printer needs to be configured and working.
Default PDF web-browser plug-in in Safari, latest (Firefox/Chrome) also built-in.
Click on the remote PDF link to open in browser
On Mavericks, you will need to click through security challenges for the PDF
    File menu > Print
Right-click on remote PDF file and then choose Download Linked File As...Open that file in /Applications/Preview.appFile > print
    Adobe Reader 11.0.04 PDF plug-in
Same security challenges on Mavericks as first bullet
With PDF imaged in browser, either select print icon from the plug-in toolbar, or mouse over the bottom one inch of displayed document and you will see a printer icon in the popup toolbar. Use that.

  • Unable to print pdf files from sites

I am unable to print pdf files from any website.  Suspect an incorrect setting; but, not sure how to correct it.

    Back up all data.
In the Finder, select Go ▹ Go to Folder from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-G. Copy the line of text below into the box that opens, and press return:
    /Library/Internet Plug-ins
From the folder that opens, remove any items that have the letters “PDF” in the name. You may be prompted for your login password. Then quit and relaunch Safari, and test.
If you still have the issue, repeat with this line:
    ~/Library/Internet Plug-ins
If you don’t like the results of this procedure, restore the items from the backup you made before you started. Relaunch Safari again.

I have recently upgraded to adobe reader XI, could that be the problem? I also cannot sign in to Adobe Export pdf now either. It says 'error occured while signing in'!

  • Unable to print PDF document

MacOS 10.9.5, new down loads of HP print driver (OfficeJet 6500) and Acrobat Reader 11.  I have not been able to print any documents from this computer via Reader - all other programs print without incident.  Does anyone have similar problems and/or have a fix?
    Tried Reader Trouble Shooting Tips.

Have you tried to update Adobe Reader? What is the current version of Reader installed?
You may try  uninstall and reinstall Adobe Reader and try again.

  • Unable to print a document from my laptop.

I have a HP laptop and am running Windows 7. I have printed off this laptop many times in the past. Occasionally we have had problems with communication but it has been easily resolved. This week however, I can print from my desktop, my phone but not the laptop. I have the HP Print and Scan doctor software and run all the updates, IP etc. Still when I try to print a document, up comes "Unable To Communicate" window. What is so odd about this and has a lot of us baffled, is that I can open up the HP Deskjet 3250 series software and ask it to print an alignment page or diagnostic page and it will print from the kitchen, on the laptop and in color. Please advise me, on how I can cure this problem. It shows I have all the updates.Thank you in advance.

Tried the Uninstaller and reinstall today and I can still print diagnostic sheets but no documents. Gave up after a couple of hours. What software are you using to send to the printer? This seems more of a issue with whatever software your using that doesn't recognize the printer is now installed. Did you check your program that is printing the Document to see if it had the right printer selected? Cause if there was a problem you woudn't be able to do the test print.

  • Unable to print PDF documents & then unable to download Adobe Reader

    Help,
I tried to print a PDF document this morning and received the message "The document could not be printed". I clicked OK and received a further message "There were no pages selected to print". My printer will still print word documents, emails and DVD covers produced using Nero Cover Design Essentials.
I have the latest version of Adobe reader 11.0.07. I went to the Adobe site and repaired Adobe Reader but it made no difference.
I therefore decided to uninstall Adobe Reader and reinstall it from the Adobe site. It downloaded OK but when I tried to install it I got the following message "Error: General Installation Error". I was using Mozilla Firefox so tried the same with Internet Explorer, with the same result.
I then downloaded the full Adobe reader from File Hippo, but still got an error message when I tried to install it (see below).
So I have gone from bad to worse and don't even have Adobe reader on my PC any more. The problem only surfaced this morning and last night I uninstalled two programs I decided I didn't need any more; Auslogics Disc Defrag and AVG PC Tuneup, but don't understand how uninstalling them could have caused the problem.
    Regards,
    Barry

    Hi again Pat,
I checked the permissions in my Temp folder and there were none. So I ticked all the boxes, but when I ticked OK I got the permission denied message again, so the problem is still tied to me not having administrator privileges. Strange thing is that even though I was denied permission, the boxes still stayed ticked. However nothing has changed as far as my problems are concerned.
It would appear to me that the answer is to get my administrator privileges back, but I have been unsuccessful in that so far. I purchased a complete PC from a good supplier but the Windows 7 setup disc that came with it does not have the "Repair Your Computer" function on it, which I understand would allow me to sort out my administrator privileges? When I rang Microsoft and asked if there was any way I could obtain that function, by download or otherwise, they weren't at all interested as I hadn't purchased Windows 7 directly from them.
As for downloading Adobe Reader via the MSI folder, I don't need to do that because when I recovered my backup from an earlier period I once more had Adobe Reader. I can use Adobe Reader to open a PDF document but it would appear I must have administrator privileges in order to print a PDF document, which was how the situation was before I decided to uninstall Adobe Reader and download a new version. I can print any other type of document so obviously Adobe demands more before it will allow printing.
In the early stages I also downloaded Foxit Reader, as I had read good things about it, but again, for the same reasons, I could not install it.
I have googled "problem with loss of admin privileges" and got a lot of hits. I will try some of the suggestions that don't appear too complex, but if they fail I will go back to the supplier. I have to sort it. I have seen suggestions about starting a new account but am not sure what to do there, or indeed, if I should do that.
Thanks for all the attempts to help me so far,
    Barry

  • Windows 7: Unable to print pdf documents with Reader 9.3.0

    I have the following problem.
Right now we are on the way to deploy Windows 7 in our environment. Now i have come over a problem with Adobe Reader 9.3.0, Windows 7 and our older printer modells from HP (4000er and 4050er). With them I can't print out any pdf document because in reader 9.3.0 the default language level is set to "Level 3". If i change this drop down to "Level 2" I can print out the document without any problems.
Question is: How can I permanently set this option to default to "Level 2" (see screenshot - this is found if you hit the advanced button in the printing dialog).
    Any help is apreciated...

When using a 32-bit browser, the PDF document should open in the browser (using the Adobe Reader add-on).
When using a 64-bit browser, it will ask you if you want to save the document, or open in Adobe Reader.
If neither of these methods work, then it is the website that does not let you download the document (for whatever reason, e.g. server overload).
Try if you can open this document: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/837/cpsid_83708/attachments/Acrobat_Reader_ReleaseNote_10.1.2.pdf

  • I cannot print pdf documents from Adobe Acrobat

When I open up a pdf document in Adobe Acrobat, I am unable to print it. If I try and use an HP Laserjet 1606 laser printer Acrobat crashes. When I use either an HP Office Jet 7000 wide format ink jetprinter or a Brother MFC 3360C multi function ink jet printer I either get an error message that says "This document cannot be printed" or Acrobat crashes.
I can print using the Preview program.
    Any suggestions?

  • Why can't I print PDF documents from Safari correctly

When we go online to get our credit card statements they are always in PDF format.  My husband likes a paper copy so he can reconcile himself.  When we print the document all we get are six very mini copies in the upper left corner of an 81/2 x 11 sheet.
This didn't use to be the case and I'm wondering if it has to do with Mavericks or an update to Safari.  Does anyone know of a solution?

Logon to the website then click to "View" statements.
Then from the Safari menu bar click File > Export as PDF
Then print the PDF file that was downloaded to your Mac's hard drive.
