Unable to print PDF files to HP Colour Laser Printer

Hi Guys,
I am having a problem with printing PDF files to a network printer. The printer was purchased recently and is a HP Colour LaserJet CP3525n all in one, printer/photocopier etc. Other documents such as Word documents work, so I don't think its a straight forward issue...
I can print PDF file to other printers, so I know the PDF files themselves are not at fault.
When I try and print to that printer, I just get pages and pages of funny characters coming up on the page... It doesn't matter what sort of PDF file I print either...
Are there any settings I can change that may help me resolve the issue. The printer is networked and shared amongst 4 people.
Any help would be appreciated.

No matter what I do it still prints all the documents as 8.5x11! It isn't pulling the paper from both printer trays.

I am having trouble printing pdf file on my HP 1320 printer.

I am unable to print pfd file, if it's more than 2 pages.
it shows data transferring but nothing came out.
it only happened with pfd files.

Download AppZapper (It's a free trial)
Install it and open it.
Drag the Reader app to the AppZapper window and "zap" it along with the associated files to the trash.
Empty the trash.
Download the Reader FULL installer here: http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/ to replace it.

Problem with printing pdf file

hello,
lately i have problem with printing pdf file:
i click on the print button and the respod is very slow
it takes more than a minute till the print window apears.
i tryied to install version X but it's the same, the problem exist only when printing via adobe reader,
other programs i'd working much faster.
please advice,

No, it is not set to overprint. Also, I have to add that the printing results were not consistent. Sometimes it covered and sometimes it did not.

Error in printing PDF files

I am using Adobe Acrobat 9.5. Recently I am having problems with printing PDF files, while other formats are printing just fine. Upon printing a pdf doc, following appears on the print out:

Try install the Adobe reader XI and also try update the printer drivers as well . That should take care of this problem.

Can no longer properly print to colour laser printer after latest update

I've just updated my iLife '08/Leopard software using software update. It would appear that I can no longer print greeting cards etc. from iPhoto to my colour laser printer since this update. All photos are printed in a very pale yellow colour that is hardly visible.
I've tried a couple of things to diagnose the problem:
1. Saved the file as a PS and printed it from a different machine running Tiger. Same result as before: Pale yellow.
2. Viewed the PS file using Preview on the Tiger and Leopard machines. The colours were normal.
3. Saved just the image (i.e., no greeting card pattern) to desktop and printed it from my Leopard machine. The picture printed out perfectly on the colour laser printer.
4. Printed the greeting card to an inkjet. That seems to work, too.
5. Just in case there was a problem with the new greeting card, I tried to print an old card that perfectly printed before. It, too, came out in a pale yellow.
So there appears to be some problem printing from the latest version of iPhoto to my colour laser printer. I did update the printer driver, just in case, but still have the same problem. Any ideas what else I could try?
The printer is an HP Color Laserjet 2550L

I have just discovered that I can properly print pictures from iPhoto to the colour laser, as long as I don't put them in a greeting card. So that seems to be the trigger.

Unable to print PDF files using Acrobat 8.

I had to uninstall and then reinstall Office for Mac 2011. I don't know if it's related or not, but since doing so I have been unable to print PDF files using Adobe Acrobat 8. After opening a PDF file and hitting print, Adobe Acrobat 8 crashes. Any suggestions? I already uninstalled and reinstalled Adobe Acrobat 8, but it still won't print PDF files. O

While you are having difficulty in printing a PDF file, you may try the subsequent steps. If you are in a rush and would like to print a simple document such as a letter, a form, or a calendar, you may print it as an image. Next option is that you may need to update your printer driver if the PDF does not print, the PDF prints as a blank page or with unreadable text or if you get an error message when you print. Sometimes, when you print a file that is on a thumb drive or a network, the file gets damaged. Then you have to open the copy on your hard drive and print again. I am unable to print pdf files from any website. Suspect an incorrect setting; but, not sure how to correct it.

Back up all data.
In the Finder, select Go ▹ Go to Folder from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-G. Copy the line of text below into the box that opens, and press return:
/Library/Internet Plug-ins
From the folder that opens, remove any items that have the letters “PDF” in the name. You may be prompted for your login password. Then quit and relaunch Safari, and test.
If you still have the issue, repeat with this line:
~/Library/Internet Plug-ins
If you don’t like the results of this procedure, restore the items from the backup you made before you started. Relaunch Safari again.

You will need to access that PDF on your computer first, before you can print it — unless that PDF is corrupted, which occasionally happens. Your printer needs to be configured and working.
Default PDF web-browser plug-in in Safari, latest (Firefox/Chrome) also built-in.
Click on the remote PDF link to open in browser
On Mavericks, you will need to click through security challenges for the PDF
File menu > Print
Right-click on remote PDF file and then choose Download Linked File As...Open that file in /Applications/Preview.appFile > print

With PDF imaged in browser, either select print icon from the plug-in toolbar, or mouse over the bottom one inch of displayed document and you will see a printer icon in the popup toolbar. Use that.

I use a teaching resource called Studyladder.co.nz. It uses animations for teaching programmes and activites. On my new computer, with up to date versions of Firefox and Adobe I am unable to get the animations to work. Also I am unable to print PDF files.

I am unable to email PDF files or print them. This happened after i upgraded my Adobe. I have deleted the program and reinstalled several times.

Windows 7 & adobe reader xi. PDFs will only print a partial page. All other files print. Can't email a PDF attachment. An error message comes up that reads....your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. This only happens with PDF files

I have a few more suggestions for you to try that might help. You can try printing your PDF file by using another program, or you can try running the Print and Scan Doctor. This diagnostic tool will check for any conflicts that could be causing the issue. The tool will show you a report at the end. If there was a problem that the tool could not fix, you will notice it in the results.If there was no issues detected, you can also try Uninstalling the Printer Software from the Control Panel, restarting your PC and reinstall the full driver here: HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 1515 All-in-One Printer
If the PDF's not printing was due to an issue with the printer software, the issue would be resolved by uninstalling and reinstalling the printer. If the problem continues, try posting this issue in the Adobe Forums for further assistance.

Unable to print PDF file

Hi All,
I have a printer HP ML1005 installed on my Mac. Printing is fine for all office applications and other applications as well *EXCEPT for PDF file*.
Before I can print a PDF file on this printer, but now for no reason I can't print - it stuck or just stay in queue.
I have reset the printing system, but NO lack.
Any idea what cause the problem?

I would like to ask you for more information about pdf printing. Do you use the built-in PDF printing (such as you press the PDF button on the print dialog) or do you have Adobe Acrobat or some other PDF application installed? Given that a reset printing system did not work then I am assuming you are using a 3rd party PDF application. But if you can confirm that would help.
Continuing with my assumption that you are a 3rd party PDF maker, since you mention the job being held in the print queue, it would be helpful to see the cups error log. This can indicate which file is stopping the spooler.
You can access the cups error log via the Console application, which is located in Applications > Utilities. With Console open, click the Logs icon which should make a list appear in the left pane. Expand the /var/log entry (by clicking on the triangle next to it) and then expand the entry cups. Under here you will see error_log. Select this and look through the list. Your jobs to the PDF maker should be shown with an error. If you can copy and paste back here that would also be helpful.
