Unable to programme Panasonic tv to YouView remote...

Help!
I feel I maybe missing something - I have tried the following Panasonic codes (given in the pdf for BT YouView Humax) using the step by step instructions.  Tried all of them 3 times! It just won't work and the TV shows no signs of turning off when a code is entered.
006, 098, 061, 129, 038, 023, 063,
094, 187, 251, 294, 353, 359, 279,
306
If anyone can help me I'd be so grateful :-)
Thanks in advance.

Go to Solution.

Do not understand the last solution!
Instruction Book  says "turn your tv set ON  then press and hold the TV button down for three seconds until the button lights up.
Then you enter the code and the TV should go to standby.
Ha\ve done this but still NO GO!
Could not find the codes on BT site either but thanks to newbie as they are quoted in the question.

  • No youview remotes in BT

I received a youview box but the remotre did not work. I asked for a replacement and they sent me a btvision remote. I asked for another replacement and they tell me now that there is non in stock. I find it hard to believe that BT have no youview remotes in stock. If no remotes then, presumably, no new youview boxes can be sent out and so no new customers.

  • How can I use the YouView remote to switch HDMI in...

I have the latest style YouView remote with the large YouView and BT Vision buttons.
It's programmed to my control my Sony TV, with channel up/down, volume up/down and power on/off working fine. But there's no button that switches between HDMI inputs on my TV (per my old Sky remote) meaning I still need to retain the use of the TV's own remote for this.
    Any ideas?

As far as I know there isn't that option, sadly.

  • Unable to connect to WMI (r) on remote machine "SCCMCLIENT03"

    Hi!
I'm in the process of configuring the XP firewall to support the Client Push installation method that SCCM offers. At the moment I'm quite happy with the result. The SCCM client agents are installed properly on my reference machines.
To secure that the WMI functionality is up and running I have (prior to the client agent installation) run wbemtest with following parameter (from server to client, and vice versa):
    \\host\root\cimv2
I successfully contacted that specific namespace on both ends. But when I trace the log I find the following error which still indicates that something is wrong:
    CWmi::Connect(): ConnectServer(Namespace) failed. - 0x8004100e SMS_CLIENT_CONFIG_MANAGER 2009-03-10 11:12:14 1704 (0x06A8)

Why do I get this? What am I missing here? I got the feeling of WMI functioning the way it should.
    Any hints on this one?
In an MSDN-article (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa389286(VS.85).aspx) I read the following lines:
"If the user account that is on Computer A is not an administrator on Computer B, but the user account has Remote Enable permission on Computer B"
Those lines are part of an article which describes how to configure Remote administrations properly. For that to work, does the computer account of my Central Site Server has to be part of the local administrators group on every client?

    Fredrik

  • Unable to connect Panasonic HDTV to home network via Wi-Fi

I am unable to connect my Panasonic TC-L37E3 to the internet via Wi-Fi.  I purchased the additional Wi-Fi adapter for the set, and while setting up the connection I am able to see my wireless network on the TV.
I have a basic WEP key, but I am unable to connect to the network via any of the connection options given.  For every option there is a two minute timeout which is the eventual result of each connection attempt.
My router is 9100EM, with at 10M/2M service plan.  I am unable to connect the TV directly to the router via CATV since it is a considerable distance.
Has anyone experienced a similar issue or can suggest any troubleshooting actions?
    Any help is greatly appreciated!

Try switching the router off of WEP and onto WPA2. There is a WEP Setting regarding Authentication that allows for Open or Closed authentication, but even then, devices expect Open. WPA2 is faster and more secure, and it's a good bet that the TV will work once you switch the router over.
You can change the security settings by going to http://192.168.1.1/ and logging in using admin as the username, and your router's serial number as the password. In the Advanced Wireless Settings, you'll find the option for WPA2. Enable that option with Pre-Shared Key and set a Passphrase (if one is not already set), and then set up your devices to use that Passphrase (is case sensitive) once you apply the settings.

  • Unable to print or totally communicate with remote jetdirects

We have dozens of jetdirects across our enterprise. recently I noticed I am unable to successfully communicate with some of the jetdirects across WAN links.
    Local subnet:
    I can ping them successfully.
i can telnet and manage them
I can web into them and make changes.
    Remote subnets:
    I can ping them successfully
if I telnet to them, I can log in, but the text I send does not echo back and if I hit enter i get an error "illegal entry, please retry"
if I web into them, the browser tab changes to "hewlett packard", and the the body is blank and the browser acts like it received everything successfully. Java doesnt load, no html body is displayed, etc.
And yes, the gateway is set on the unit.
    Any ideas?

One other thing to note... I cant pass print jobs from a print server on one side of the WAN across to the print server on the other side. The print server must be on the same LAN segment as the jetdirect.
    Example:
I try to print directly from a PC in Indianapolis to a jetdirect in Dayton, OH, it fails.
However I can configure a print queue on a server in dayton, print from a PC in Idianapolis to the print queue in Dayton and it will print.

    Please help me!
And give solution to solve this problem.

In SQL server you can configure it how to communicate with clients (Shared Memory, Named Pipes, TCP/IP).
When the application is on the same computer with SQL server Local Named Pipes or Shared Memory are used.
When is on other computer TCP/IP or Named Pipes are used to communicate with the server.
Check these options and enable the appropriate.

Thanx. It's not the end of the world just an inconvenience. However another problem I have found that when trying to get the internet I cannot get past the BT parental control screen. When I get to the second screen it is looking for activate parental control or don't use. Either way the tv control highlights the selection but on pressing ok nothing happens.Tried removing btinternet parental control but still comes up on tv. It's doing my head in.

  • Unable to get parameter values from a remote database

I am linking to a remote database view via a synonym in Oracle and trying to retrieve parameter values from it.  The username and password are the same for the local and remote database and I can run the SQL query using SQL plus against the database and values are returned.  However, when I try and run the same query in Crystal Reports (XI) I receive an Oracle error:
"An attempt was made to connect or log in to a remote database using a connection description that could not be found.
    Action:
Specify an existing database link. Query the data dictionary to see all existing database links. See your operating system-specific Net8 documentation for valid connection descriptors. "
How can it be that Crystal cannot run the query when it is valid in SQL plus?
    Any tips/info would be appreciated.
    many thanks

    Oracle is version 10

When running one of the reports in VS.Net this is the error I receive:
"A first chance exception of type 'System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException' occurred in crystaldecisions.crystalreports.engine.dll
Additional information: Failed to retrieve data from the database.
Details:  [Database Vendor Code: 2019 ]
Failed to retrieve data from the database.
    Error in File C:\DOCUME1\CLAIRE1.REE\LOCALS~1\Temp\{0C6C6DD5-B958-4E10-A2AA-928C58E1B7CE}.rpt:
Failed to retrieve data from the database.
Details:  [Database Vendor Code: 2019 ]"
When running the same report in Crystal Reports designer I receive this error message:
"Prompting failed with the following error message: 'List of Values failure: fail to get values. [Cause of error: Failed to retrieve data from the database.  Details: [Database Vendor Code: 2019].  Failure to retrieve data from the database.  Error in File UNKNOWN.RPT.  Failure to retrieve data from the database.  Details: [Database Vendor Code: 2019]]'.
Error source: prompt.dll Error code: 0x8004380D"
So this one is also failing in the designer.
All the parameters in the main report are static and the ones in the subreport are passed in from the main report.
