    Reagrds,
    Ramesh

    Hi Ramesh,
It may seem like a lot of information, but from a debugging perspective it doesn't tell us much.
You need to give some more info and even then it would probably be a good idea to call support.
    Can you tell us;
    Which version are you on?
Can you open de document from another desktop intelligence machine, not only the one that it was built on?
    - This checks ; you can import the document; the structure of the document is fine (not corrupted).
Can you refresh the document on that other machine?
    - This check ; the link to the universe is fine, the universe can be imported, the connection to the database is fine.
What is your preference as a BOE user to view Deski documents?
    - Try a few others, so you know if the problem is with one type only (and which).
Now you will have a few more pointers more as to where the problem lies.
Even then it can be sheer size of the document, complexity of it, etc.
    Good luck,
    Marianne

I am new to this one............
Below, I put a list of doubts on XML Publisher .. plz clarify it ASAP
    1. what is the basic things may I know to learn xml publisher reports?(means skills)
    2. Can you tell me any documentation or material for it?
    3. What softwares can I download to work on it(local machine)?
I think the reports which are going to work in future ,that are based on order management module..
Any One Help would be greatly Appreciated.....
    Best Regards
    ....

    1. what is the basic things may I know to learn xml publisher reports?(means skills)Since you are from Java background then XMLP API will be easy to grasp. Look the documentation when dowloading the softwares from OTN.
    2. Can you tell me any documentation or material for it?
For now depends on Oracle documentation coming with the software and
    ask question in this forum.
    3. What softwares can I download to work on it(local machine)?
XMLP software comes in 2 pieces.
    - Client pieces is for building template and put a plug-in into MS word.
    - Server pieces again is 2 pieces:
    1) the WAR file you can deploy manually on any application server.
    2) Automated one install OC4J server and WARfile.
Note: for server must have access to Oracle DB to install the scheduler SCHEMA
Both of this pieces can be install on your machine with Oracle XE database installed
    and ply locally.
I think the reports which are going to work in future ,that are based on order management module..This is XMLP ebusiness suite

  • DB error while running reports in InfoView

    Hi,
we are trying to create a report in infoview.
however we are facing following error while trying to create new webintelligence document or running existing report:
A database error occured. The database error text is: (CS) "DBDriver failed to load : /bobje/bobje/enterprise120/linux_x86/dataAccess/RDBMS/connectionServer/libdbd_oci9.so (libclntsh.so.11.1: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS64)" . (WIS 10901)
We are using BO XI 3.1 SP2, Oracle 11g server on Linux.  Both oracle and bo server are on same machine.
    thanks in advance.

Looks to me that you are using the 64bit oracle driver. Make sure to set your LD_LIBRARY_PATH variable (for th euser running the BO services) to point first to the directory with the 32bit libraries of the Oracle driver.

    Hi,
Could you please test the following solutions to resolve the issue.
    Solution1:
Test the issue by inserting the following parameter in .SBO file.
    <Parameter Name="Force SQLExecute">Always</Parameter> .
    Solution2
Just put SET NOCOUNT OFF in the end of the stored procedure SQL.
If the above doesnu2019t works then please try the following solution.
    Solution3
Make the new connection from the scratch using ODBC connection and test the issue.

  • Unable to see fields of BI Publisher report in MS Office

    Hi,
We have a report in BIPublisher(10g). We are designing a template for a report. So from MSOffice, while we are accessing the report, we are unable to see the fields. We were able to see only RowSet. The report is working or able to see in BIPublisher.
This happens very often to us. We will be able to see the fields for some of the reports and unable to see for some reports. I can say we are able to see all the reports in BIPublisher.
Initially we are working in the sytem with 1GB RAM and thought that MSOffice is unable to load the report. Now we are working from a system with 2GB RAM, still same problem.
We did: Open MSWord-->Login to BIPublisher--> Open the folder-->Select the report.then--Insert field.
In the popup window opened, we were able to see only RowSet no fields.
We observed this is happening to the reports which have parameters to be passed
where could be the problem...help us.
    Thanks
    글 수정: RAJ

Have a look at getXMLdata and downloadXMLdata of schedule service , using these you can get the xml data produced by the report job
getDocumentData and downloadDocumentData will return the document data which is basically a translation of xml data in your output format

  • How to provide custom messages while viewing reports in obiee.

    Hi,
I would like to show some custom message in all Dashboards. For instance when a user logs into the Dashboard, the report would take long time to get processed. So what to do so that we could provide custom message stating that.."Please select the required parameters..." or something else.. After selecting the necessary prompts, he would get what he wants..Is there some option in OBIEE where we can place mentioned messages. Thanks in advance...
    Regards,
    Ajay

    One thing
You set default value which is not a database value... like Select Prompt Value something like this...
You set this kind of text as default value for all dashboard prompts.
So, when you click first time dashboard, it runs but leads to get No Results.
Here you can select prompt values and can run reports..
    Or else
    see this..
    http://oraclebizint.wordpress.com/2008/01/17/oracle-bi-101332-selecting-reports-from-dashboard-prompts-and-guided-navigation-sections/
Use this logic and in writing SQL for prompt, write a custom message that you want to write and then the report name while doing union.
like (let's say your report name is: "Rgn Dlrs")
select case when 1=0 then Markets.region else 'Select Prompt values and Report' end from paint
    union all
select case when 1=0 then Markets.region else 'Rgn Dlrs' end from paint
now implement the guided navigation for section and try....

  • Unable to choose a folder while publishing to portal from query designer

    Hi,
I'm trying to publish a report to portal from query designer using 'export to portal' option. I'm having two problems here and may be they are related.
Problem 1 - When I click on the dialog box to choose a pcd folder name, i get the following warning...
"The BEx Web application does not correspond to the domain with which the folder selection dialog is called Another cause of the problem may be that BI and portal server are not running in the same domain Notify the system administrator or maintain table RSPORT_T_PORTAL and take note of the server configuration section in SAP note 444247"
BEx reports created from portal are working fine. The portal and BI are running on same domain and RSPORT_T_PORTAL has FQDN. What am I missing here?
Problem 2 - When i say ok and continue, it gives me the option to choose the folder. When I pick a folder (gave complete authorization to this folder), and click on Transfer to continue, nothing happens. The button doesn't respond. Technically it should copy the folder path to the previous dialog box from where I should be able to publish.
Could somebody please help me with this problem?
    Thank You,
    Ashwin

    Hello Ashwin,
I would start with a very simple thing: add the domains (URLs) to your trusted sites list in the Internet Browser.
    Maybe it solves both problems.
    Kind Regards,
    Marcio

  • Performance Issue while access reports through Infoview.

Users run reports( Webi ,Crystal ) through Infoview u2013 Accessed by Categories  , while navigating between categories( we have different categories : Sales, Purchasing..Etc ) in the Infoview is fine ,it  takes time to show all the reports within the categories ,which  takes  around 3 u2013 5 mins , but run time of the each reports are quick and as expected.
In CMS , while navigating between categories and time taken to show all the reports within the categories are fine . couldnu2019t not understand why this is happening in infoview only.
Would like to know if any one have similar issues. Is there any settings needs to made on the tomcat server or CMS or Infoview. Searched for OSS notes and found a note : 1206095 but it is for Enterprise XI release2.
    Product Details :
    BOE XI3.1 SP3 .
    Any info will be helpfull.

    Hello,
    - Is Tomcat installed on the same server as BOE?  If not, did you use wdeploy to deploy the WAR files? https://bosap-support.wdf.sap.corp/sap/support/notes/1325139
    - Do you have more than one Tomcat server,  and is it fronted by a load balancer.  If it is, try bypassing the load balancer and access InfoView directly without going thru the load balancer.
There is a CMS command-line options that might help you improving performances in your environment.
That switch is named -maxobjectsincache which allows you to increase the maximum number of objects that the CMS stores in its memory cache. Increaseing the number of objects reduces the number of databases calls required and can improve CMS performance.
The default value for this option is 10000 and the maximum value is 100000.  Please keep in mind it is not recommended to exceed 100,000 as too many objects in memory will result in the CMS degradation.  I would suggest testing with 60,000.

  • Issue while scheduing report in Infoview

    Hi All,
I need to scheduled a report where i have send it to 15 email id and there might be some more addition. when i tested report i found it is sending to everyone but it doesn't show all the email id's in the "TO" list.
Please let me know if need to check any property to show all the email id's.
    Thanks.

    Hi Jin
Thanks for the reply. Character count is less than 1024 as of now.
I am having more than 10 reports and all of them having different email. If i will ask Admin to create distribution list for all the reports not sure if they will do that or not , also this will be time taking because I need to go through from a process. I need to find out some work around.
I checked with all the users they are able to see the report. It is just that it is not showing up in the “TO” list.
    Thanks.

  • Error publishing reports from BW

    Hi,
I am facing some issues while publishing reports from BW system. I have taken care of all the settings mentioned in Integration Kit guide. We are using BOXI 3.1 SP3  OS:windows 2008 (64-bit)
The error that we are getting is:
"0000000001 An error occurred when retrieving the role metadata for YBW_BO_CONTENT_PUBLISHER. Returned with RFC code 18 and message: See RFC trace file or SAP system log for more details"
I have enabled the trace also, still not able to find the root cause.
    Need help urgently. Thanks.
    Amit Tewatia

    Hi Startos,
I have matched the auth. as per the admin guide, everything is fine with the role. I have checked the trace file logs, part of which is below:
"Starting up callback server at 10.239.30.2 sapgw00 with prog-id SEGIDC8BBB5A3

  • BI publisher report does not displays parameters in dashboard

    HI to all,
I have created a report in BI publisher with Parameters and list of values and it works as expected while running it through the BI Publisher.
I also added it into a dashboard, the dashboard displays the report correctly but it doesn't allow me to select/choose the list of values or to prompt for other values.
I wonder now if there is something wrong with the Publisher report and/or the dashboard or maybe OBIEE does not allows to place BI publisher report with parameters inside a dashboard.
    Thanks
    Roberto

If you embed the Bi publisher Report, you won't be able to see the parameters. Instead bring it in as a Link and then when you click on the link you should be able to see a new window pop up with parameters showing.
Alternatively, you can create dashboard prompts and have the publisher report filtered via those prompts.
    Thanks!
