Unable to publish from Crystal to BO

Hi,
I have some problems when trying to publish from Crystal to BO. I select automatically publish to enterprise option, but I get the follwing error:
"An error occurred while savin and/or publishing. The return code 503 was returned from the server. The given report id is invalid."
If I save without checking that option, there is no problem.
Does anybody know what this could be?
Thanks

Hi Ingo,
regarding the 2 problems you mentioned:
#1 : seeing the reports in /crystal/rptadmin
#2 : CMC
- in the transcation /crystal/rptadmin you have a menu items on the left side called "Publish reports" and below that an item called "Select reports...". When using that you will be asked for the BOE Server to be selected and then you will see the roles and reports on the right hand.
If I do this, I get the following message: 'No reports matched the given selection criteria' I have checked everything, and all the tests are successfully, RFC test and the verify destination.
- on item #2 : do you see the reports in the CMC ? If so in which folder structure ?
If I try to publish through the toolbar I get an error, so the only way to publish to BO is through 'save as' and then I choose the destination, Enterprise and select the folder I want. Under the folder SAP 2.0 I cannot see any folder for none of the roles.
¿Could it be something with the roles?
Thanks

  • Unable to publish from iWeb

I have for 2 years successfully set up and managed my web site from my iWeb package. Suddenly I can't publish it any more. I have confirmed that the domain is through mobile me and can publish it to a folder on the desk top, but when trying to publish it to the web, a window just states that "there has been an error publishing" and no explanation!. Can someone tell me if it's me or them? and if it's a quick fix or another drama?

  • Unable to Publish from Book Module LR-4.2 to Blurb

    Windows 7
    Adobe CS5
    Lightroom 4.2
Have not been able to publish to Blurb after creating a book in the Book Module
All images are jpegs and of sufficient resolution to be printed.
Variety of Error messages have occurred.  Sometimes the message identifies a specific digital image.
Once at least there was no evidence that an image with the name and number given was in my file.
    Using internal hard drives.
Have tried working with Tech from Adobe.
Earlier was also having trouble converting Book Module images to PDF, but for unknown reasons
it worked, but the same file could not be published to Blurb.

I would consider it more simple to copy the images on portable storage space and plug that into the computer you will use for book creating.
First you should go for LR4.3RC, as a heinous bug in book module has been fixed, which is still present in LR4.2 (book being empty all of a sudden).
If you still prefer to work on 2 computers on 1 book: export the saved book=a collection of type book as catalog, including previews and negatives.
Import this partial catalog on the 2nd machine (Import from Another Catalog), because thus collection membership travels along from one catalog to the other.
Then select it and switch to book module.
Export as catalog before you switch computers again.

  • Unable to connect to defined CMS from Crystal reports Enetrprise

    Hi all,
I am using SAP Crystal Reports for Enterprise XI 4.0 (SP2 Patch 6). We have 2 independent Intelligence & Processing Tiers installed with their own CMS services. However, temporarily we are using only 1 common WAS Netweaver 7.3 for both CMS (when we connect to CMC/BI Launch pad we juts type different CMS name). Both of them are on same patch level, etc.
My problem is that when I try to connect to BO Enterprise (BI 4.0) from Crystal reports, I am unable to specify to which CMS it has to connect - since it take the Server name and not the CMS name. It automatically connects me to only 1 of the CMS while there is no chance to connect to another (it might have somewhere recorded the CMS name). is there a chance to choose between those 2 CMS to which Crystal should connect?
    Thanks!
    Erik.

    Erik,
You should specify the name of the server where BOE is installed. You can use the FQDN or even the IP address and the port name.

    Julian

  • RCIRAS0546 Error - Unable to Export a Crystal Report from BOE XI (SP3) 3.1

    Hello,
We have just upgraded to Crystal Reports 2008 (from Crystal Reports 10) and BOE XI 3.1 sp3 (from Crystal Enterprise 10).  The reports created in CR 10 open and generate just fine from within CR 2008, and they are saved to BOE XI.  When I view the CR from within BOE XI web gui, the report displays fine in Crystal Report format.  When I attempt to export the report to .pdf, I get the error "Your request could not be completed because a failure occurred while the report was being processed. Please contact your system administrator. [RCIRAS0546]"  I tried exporting the report to Word, Excel, RTF, and CSV and did not get any error.  Adobe Reader IS loaded on the server (we are running direct on server right now to test before deploying over web).
This does not happen with all of our reports, and we can't figure out why it happens with some and not others.  Another thread on the forum led me to believe it may have been due to subreports, but this is not the case as the reports that error sometimes have subreports, sometimes not.  Some reports have formulas, some do not.  I can't find the common design between them to cause this issue.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!
(FYI - I've changed the default Input and Output directory of the servers from the default C drive to the D drive as it is larger.  I simply overwrote the placeholder and ensured the folder path existed - which it does.  Not sure if this applies.  I also pointed the temp directory to the same D location)

  • Cannot publish from iWeb 08 after upgrading to Leopard

When I click on Publish from iWeb I first get a window .Mac Information asking me to login and a smaller window saying "logging in to iWeb". I click on sign in button from .Mac Information window and then get the System Preferences window telling me I am signed in and giving me my account status. From here nothing happens. The "logging into iWeb" message stays and nothing happens.
    What should I do?

Thanks and Merry Christmas to you too! I have experienced both modem/network problems and was unable to publish in Tahiti and Cook Islands because of that and now these problems which have nothing to do with network it seems - so yours may or may not be network related. I was able to cheat and copied my "Site" folder from my hard drive to my iDisk rather then publishing. I can't remember if you've tried this or not (read a lot of strings today) but you can publish to a folder and then copy that folder to your iDisk at /Web/Sites/iWeb/Site as "Site" after first renaming the one that is out there now. Let me know if you have any questions on how to do it. It sounds like you are traveling like we are and anxious to communicate with friends and family back home. When you are bored, our site is web.mac.com/baganworldtour.
At least we now have our first update out there in two weeks. But it took almost two hours to copy the folder and this won't work forever. Hopefully we, whether by the discussion room or .mac support next week, will be able to fix the problem for real.
    Thanks. Good Luck. Merry Christmas

  • How to link a webi report from crystal report

    Hello everyone,
I am trying to link a webi report from crystal XI.
In my crosstab, the data is divided grouped by periods.
So for every country it shows data along a period of time.
The details for the value of the crosstab are in a webi report.I am trying to pass the period value and country name as a prompt from crystal to webi but it is not picking them correctly.
can we pass prompts from a crystal report to a webi url??

Try to use OpenDoc URL to pass the parameter values from crystal to webi. To use OpenDoc URL you need to publish these reports in server. See the following example
    http://server name:8080/businessobjects/enterprise115/desktoplaunch/opendoc/openDocument.jsp?sType=wid&sPath=[folder name]&sDocName=Child&iDocID=4804&lsSEnter+State:=California

  • How do you fix 'unable to upgrade from version 0'?

I have been working on 6 ibooks over the past year, documenting a lot of stuff for user manuals for our school. The ibooks were all created in iBA version 1.0, but are not published - we only use them internally so we just use the previews.
I gave up trying to upgrade my 1.0 iBooks, it takes too long to 'optimize' the files when I try to open them in 2.0. I have read all the issues with iBA 2.0, but decided to download 2.0 on another computer and wabt to try to re-write all my old 1.0 manuals (I have all the files that went into them).
However, when I double-click to open the 2.0, nothing happens. So I go to 'File' and select 'New from Template Chooser'. I then get the window with all the new templates, including the portrait ones. When I select any template, say the 5th one for example, I get the prompt "The document 'Textbook 05.ibatemplate' could not be upgraded. Unable to upgrade from version 0". This happens for every template. I don't understand. I downloaded the 2.0 from the app store onto a 'clean' computer. Yes, it has Lion on it and all the spec requirements to run iBA. Can anyone help me with what to do next?

Did you ask Apple for help yet?

  • Cannot publish from iWeb to .Mac, Help please!

I am trying to publish to my site from here in Australia. I was able to publish in the country at the beggining of the trip, but can not now. I get the message "Publish Error - an error occurred while publishing file /Web/Site/iWeb/Site/Blog". I had updated two blog entries and changed the date on an entry. Since then in trying to fix the issue I deleted both of those entries. I have been through .mac support troubleshooting steps to ensure it is not a network error. I have been able to publish to a folder, but when I try to copy the Blog folder from that folder to my iDisk I get "The Finder cannont complete the operation because some data in "" could not be read or written (Error code -36)". Since then they asked that I try to publish from a trial .Mac account or from a new OS X user account on my machine. Both of those attempts failed as well, which they say indicates it's not a .mac account or OS X user set up issue. They asked that I put a copy of my domain file out in the public drive for them to look at, but when I try to do that it goes through and does the copying and then freezes at "Copying Domain.zip to Public, Copied 599.5MB of 599.5MB (Closing file...) - Please wait". Then I get the same error code -36 and am disconnected from iweb. Can anyone out there help please?
    Thanks!

  • Dynamic publishing of crystal report in portal.

    Hi All,
My understanding of publishing Crystal Report in portal is using the URL iview, is my understanding correct.
I have checked this in [Integration of BOE XI3.1 into the SAP Enterprise Portal 7.x|http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/BOBJ/IntegrationofBOEXI3.1intotheSAPEnterprisePortal+7.x] wiki
and my question is, when publishing the crystal report from Crystal Report Designer, it is published in BI via the bw publisher and saved under some BW role. Is it possible to display the saved report in portal with out creating the url iview as an object of pcd in portal, i mean the report which is saved under BW role needs to be displayed dynamically in portal with out iview creation. Is this possible.
    Can someone comment on this.
    Many Thanks,
    Ansar

    Hi Ansar,
The Crystal reports can be used for publishinh good quality gralha and charts through BW. though making a URL iView is not the only option.
Good examples of Crystal report usage have been explained in the link below:

  • How to protect ECC performance from Crystal Reports execution?

    Hello,
We built Crystal Reports (CR) which reports from SAP FI InfoSets. These reports may take a long time to execute and potentially can impact all ECC users.
AFAIK CR are executed in dialog mode on ECC.
We know that from CR perspective we can only limit the number of records returned.
One of the options is to create a dedicated application server instance for CR. But it looks like a costly one.
    Other options:
Move data to BW every 15 minutes and execute reports from there.
Schedule reports at night to minimize users impact.
We are using ECC 6 EP3, BW 3.5, BOE XI 3.1 (with SAP Integration Kit) and Crystal Reports 2008.
Can you please let me know if any of you have the same challenge.
    Thank you,
    Serge

    Hi Ingo,
I'm using [BusinessObjects XI Integration for SAP Solutions Installation and Administration Guide|https://websmp209.sap-ag.de/~sapdownload/011000358700001646962008E/xi3-1_bip_sap_install_en.pdf] (from 2008-12-02). There are some references to batch publishing from BW. The same applies to your document [BusinessObjects Integration Kit for SAP - Installation and ConfigurationSDN Community Day - BusinessObjects Enterprise with SAP|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/a00ee3b2-5283-2b10-f1bf-8c6413e0898f].
When we schedule CR in BOE it still runs in dialog mode on ECC.
Could you please be more specific where we can define switch to make it run as background process on ECC.
    Thank you,
    Sergey

  • How to publish a Crystal Report in Business One

    Hi
Please can anyone tell me how I publish a Crystal report (which is now inbuilt in SAP B1) so it is available to all users?  I have full administrator/manager user rights. I have so far created the report and saved it to my SAP server machine on it's C:drive.
Thank you very much for any help and info.
    Matt

Hi, I worked out how to do it. I had to first enable the Crystal Add on from within SAP and then open the Crystal Reports Administration menu under Administration and then select "Manage Crystal Reports". From there you can browse to the report you have created and select the module for where you want it to appear under in SAP.
