Unable to purchase apps

It wont let me purchase apps on my ipod touch. I try download or install an app and it doesnt do anything just says waiting and does nothing. The only way to clear it is to re start and when i do that i get an unable to purchase messgae. Is ther a fix to this problem available?

Try uninstalling then re installing ovi app store
Failing that try hardware resetting your phone
Make sure you have set up your wifi connection first, and set it as priority 1 in destinations in connection manager.
I have had so many problems with nokias, it just feels like it will be a bit hit and miss as to weather anything works.
I used an android for a little while and even the cheapest (t-mobile pulse mini) was so much smoother and more reliable.
Every time I needed help I found the fastest solution off other fraustrated nokia users, never off the company itself. Get an Android next time, the only thing nokia does well are small, cheap dumbphones.

    This sorted it for me:
Backup your iPhone to iCloud (I believe backing up to iTunes will work too). Now go to "Settings --> General --> Reset --> Erase All Content and Settings" to completely restore your iPhone to factory settings. Assuming you've backed up to iCloud, you'll be asked when setting up your iPhone if you want to restore from an iCloud backup. Choose that option and once your iPhone has restored itself from your backup, this annoying problem will finally be gone! (was for me anyway).
To restore from an iTunes backup, connect your iPhone to your computer, load iTunes. Click the File menu and select Devices > Restore from Back up.

  • Unable to Purchase: "APP" could not be purchased at this time. Please try again later.

Everytime I've tried to purchase an app since downloading IOS 7 (don't get me started on the oh-so-many things that don't work with this new operating system, although this one really ticks me off) I can't download a single app from the app store. The message (above) is what I get with "APP" being the actual name of the app (ie. "Instagram"). The apps I already have on the phone will automatically update without a problem, this has to do with the actual new purchases (either free or paid) that I would like to make. I currently have the most up-to-date version of IOS 7 v. 7.0.4
I have tried to do the following to no avail:
    1) A soft reset: Holding the top bottom and the home button simultaneously until the phone powers itself off and automatically comes back on.
    2) Signed in and out of my Apple iTunes account.
    3) Signed out of my Apple iTunes account, did a soft reset, signed back in once the phone powered back up.
    4) Changed the credit card information to a different credit card just in case for some strange reason Apple didn't like my credit card.
Any suggestions that anyone else may have (and please don't link to a troubleshooting article, those are hardly helpful) would be great. I've looked through Apple's support communities and haven't found a single answer to this question, although I've seen similiar questions and no real answers thus far.
    Thank you.

I also have the same issue. Unable to easily purchase apps from the app store. Get the unable to purchase app purchase, followed by a never ending spinning circle next to the app title. I've discovered that closing out of the app, and attempting to redownload from the purchase list usually works.
Apple has really screwed up the user experience with ios7. This is inexcusable. A $600 device that is supposedly state of the art, and you have to try several work arounds to download apps is tragic. If Steve Jobs were around, several heads would have rolled by now. This needs to be fixed now, not in February, not in March.

  • How to fix "unable to purchase app at this time" issue

Since updating to IOS 7, I have been unable to download from the App Store. The message "unable to purchase app at this time, please try again later" appears and app's will not download.

Is your Device Jailbroken? Not that anyone would admit to it publically, but I think that is the root of your problem. Jailbroken apps like AppCake will cause problems. Good luck.

  • Unable to purchase app pop up box

When i purchase an App on my ipad from the store or update an App a box appears on the screen which says 'unable to purchase "connect 4" and 10 other items could nt be purhased at this time, please try again later. I select ok from the box and the App downloads continue as normal.
Although the Apps continue to download ok it is annoying to have this box appear wrongly each time.
How do i stop this box from appearing, any reasons/solutions for this would be grateful, thanks.

Is the app still available in the app store?

  • Unable to purchase app

Is anyone having issues with purchasing apps via iTunes???  Keep receiving errors.  thanks.

    Hi Avinash.N ...
That app is no longer available from the Mac App Store.
In the future, be aware that your credit or debit card credentials must be associated with the same country where you reside.
"Although you can browse the iTunes Store in any country without being signed in, you can only purchase content from the iTunes Store for your own country. This is enforced via the billing address associated with your credit card or other payment method that you use with the iTunes Store, rather than your actual geographic location."

The $1.00 charge is just an "authorization hold" and will be credited to your account usually within 24 to 72 hours. Apple "verifies" all transactions.

  • Unable to purchase app using touch id

I've done the setting and the Touch ID works for unlocking my iPhone. But when I tried to purchase or download app, I can't use the Touch ID way same as unlocking the iPhone. Did I miss some settings? Anyone managed to use the finger print to make purchases?

Per the iPhone 5s: Using Touch ID overview: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5883
Note: Touch ID cannot be used for purchases if Require Password in Settings > General > Restrictions is set to Immediately.
    Hope this helps!

  • I am unable to purchase apps in the App Store because of my password and security questions but I am able to change the password but not the security questions how do I change this ?

How do I change my situation .

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; this can be done by phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, or clicking here and picking a method, or if your country isn't listed in either article, filling out and submitting this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

  • Unable to purchase Australian apps on UK phone

I live in Australia and I went to the UK for a holiday. I had to buy a new iPhone while I was over in the UK but since returning to Australia I have been unable to purchase apps because my apple ID is for the Australian store. How can I fix this?

I am having the same issues with both my iPad 1 and my iPhone 4S.  It hangs saying "waiting" for sometimes hours or even over night.  But just now it took 20mins to update 5 items on my iPhone but currently racking up 1 hour on my ipad1.  Been having this issue since Sunday also.

  • IOS App store Error - Unable to Purchase

Every time I try to buy an app I get this error:
    Unable to Purchase
"[App Name]" Could not be purchased at this time. Please try again later.
I am pretty much certain that it has something to do with the fact that this is a phone which was restored from backup as the phone had to be replaced as the former had a faulty battery.
    I would appreciate any suggestions.
    Best regards

    Hi ckuan
Have you tried signing out and sign back in again in
Settings > iTunes & App Store > Apple ID: > sign out ?
    Have you also tried
Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings ?
I tried these both but I'm afraid these didn't fix anything.
    Thx

  • Unable to update apps in UK app store

i I have been trying to update 6 apps, including Amazon, for the last 3 days. The circles just spin, and eventually I get a message on 1 of them saying "unable to purchase (app name) at this time".

    Greetings JGK286,
Thank you for participating in the Apple Support Communities.
It sounds like some apps on your iPad are not updating. If so, try the following tips.
First, make sure you have a Wi-Fi connection by using another application like Safari. If you can't connect to the internet, try the troubleshooting steps in this articles:
If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won’t connect to a Wi-Fi network - Apple Support
If your internet connection works normally in other applications, next try signing out and back in to the iTunes & App Store:
Tap Settings > iTunes & App Store, then tap the Apple ID signed in.
Choose Sign Out from the menu that appears. Restart your device next. Then, sign back in to the iTunes & App Store and try to update the apps again.
    From:
iOS: Sign in with a different Apple ID in the iTunes Store, App Store, and iBooks Store - Apple Support

  • Help please: cannot update or purchase apps

    Greetings,
I occasionally cannot update apps on my iPad - free or not free. I can never purchase new apps, free or not, and sometimes it won't let me update free apps.
I get an error message saying:
    UNABLE TO PURCHASE
"APP" could not be purchased at this time.
    Please try again later.
This has been happening for a few weeks. I've changed/updated credit card info, refreshed everything, restarted numerous times.

Nope - It thought it might be my slow internet connection in my new apartment, but when I went into work where it's fast, some downloaded, but a few others wouldn't. So now I'm even more confused. Sorry.
