Unable to purchase in-app anymore?

I purchase in an app regularly, and it gets getting blocked, telling me to contact apples/itunes services... does anyone know how to unblock this? I usually send e-mail about it, and in a day or so, they reply the same generic mail saying it is fixed. Is there a way to entirely unblock it forever? I am quite dissatisfied with the quality of response here...

Welcome to the Support Communities!
The first thing I would suggest is to sign out of the iTunes Store on your iPhone, then sign back in, view your account and check your billing information.  If after doing this you are still not able to make purchases, contact the iTunes Store support team.

    My Ipad was working fine, i was able to make in app purchases etc. My grandson was visiting and wanted to play minecraft, so put his apple ID in so he could download hos content to my ipad, played his game for the visit, then deleted all details of his itunes acount when he left. He at no point downloaded anythng esle but minecraft.
    Now however, when i try and make in app purchases on my account with apps downloaded with my own ID I get the following
    "Unable to Purchase. This item is for an app that was purchased by a different apple ID. To buy this item with this apple ID you must first purchase the app".
    I have purchesed the app. I really dont fancy starting agian. As I said ipad was fine until we did this minecraft thing.
    Any suggestions??

    The message would indicate the the app was not purchased with that account.
    You can try:
    - Go to Settings>iTunes and App Store and sign out
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost       
    Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
    least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Go to itunes and App Store and sign in
    - Restore from backup. See:

    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

    I live in Australia and I went to the UK for a holiday. I had to buy a new iPhone while I was over in the UK but since returning to Australia I have been unable to purchase apps because my apple ID is for the Australian store. How can I fix this?

    I am having the same issues with both my iPad 1 and my iPhone 4S.  It hangs saying "waiting" for sometimes hours or even over night.  But just now it took 20mins to update 5 items on my iPhone but currently racking up 1 hour on my ipad1.  Been having this issue since Sunday also.

  • Unable to purchase - iOS6 app store problem

    For the last three days whenever I try to either update a previously purchased app or purchase a new one I get the error message:
    Unable to purchase please try again at a later time.
    This is on an iPhone 4 which has been upgraded to iOS 6 and is a 'Verizon iPhone.
    The phone is set up to only attempt app downloads when on WiFi.
    I have tried opening and closing the app store app and restarting the iPhone - so far no help. I have alos logged out of itunes and logged back in. again no help.

    It occurred to me that I needed to go back over everything I had done with the phone for the past few days. I remembered deciding to give the new podcast app a try. I selected several podcasts I wanted to listen to and even subscribe to. I started the download process but it would seem to complete and then require restarting.
    I opened the podcast app, and deleted everything I had added and turned of ll subscriptions. After that there were no further problems with the App Store. I would guess that the podcast app was somehow bumping the connection to itunes so that the App Store couldn't connect.

    Each time I try to purchase any App, it allows me to put in Apple ID Password and confirm the BUY button but then gives me a message "Your Purchase could not be completed" For Assistance, contact iTunes support at www.apple.com/support/iTunes/ww/.
    I've tried updating ipad, rebooting ipad, trying to download different apps and changed account payment to another bank card but still no joy. Can anyone help?

    I am unable to access the appstore items for purchase. I is asking me to try again. I have tried updating and installing new apps but am unable to do this. Please help

    1. Make sure iPad is using the latest software
    2. Settings>General>Date and Time>Set Automatically>On
    3. Make sure Time Zone is correct
    4. Reset iPad. Hold the Sleep and Home button down until you see the Apple Logo.

    So I just got me a Mini 16GB Black B Ipad, and I've gone through the set up. I've logged out, turned it off, turned it back on and logged in, I've even followed some of the go to restrictions make code etc and still nothing.   • Unable to purchase free apps even though no credit card on Apple ID

    Hello
    We have set up an Apple ID with no credit card attached.  Yet when I use this to purchase my first free app, the prompts take me through the 'This is the first time you have used your ID to purchase' screens where I accept disclaimers etc; then it asks me to confirm my details, including credit card details.  As this Apple ID has no credit card details, then it asks me to input some.  I can only choose Visa or Mastercard; the 'none' option is not available.
    Yet when I look at the instructions on how to set up an Apple ID with no credit card, you normally get asked to choose between 'Visa', 'Mastercard', or 'None'. 
    It seems we have set up this Apple ID before the 'None' option existed, yet we've managed to set it up with blank credit card fields.
    Now it seems to be 'stuck' in credit-card land.
    Is there any way to revert it to a non-credit card Apple ID so that I can buy free apps?

    It seems you are enforced to log in by inputting a credit card; however once you have signed in, you then have the option to revert the ID back to a completely 'non-credit card' Apple ID as per

    So you just need to supply a credit card for the first time, then wipe it out immediately after logging in successfully

    I apologize if I am posting in the wrong section.
    I am attempting to add my debit card information in the hopes that I will be able to purchase something from the app catalog. Upon entering my information I receive the following error:
    Payment Failed
    We cannot process your payment.
    Contact your financial institution.

    I have done a partial erase, a full erase, and even used webOS Doctor. Today, I contacted my financial institute as suggested and I was told that "Palm Inc." had sent requests for $0, however, the request must be $1.00 before it can be processed. Apparently. I was also told to visit the Palm website and attempt to solve my problem that way.
    I have discussed this problem on Palm's Live Chat twice, used some Google-fu, searched several forums, and never received a definitive answer. So, I am posting this as a last resort. I do not enjoy bothering people with my problems, but this has me rather confused.
    Also, my debit card is connected to a savings account. Would a checking account solve this problem? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    Unfortunately, this is still going on.
    My card suddenly stopped working in the App Catalog within the last 3-4 weeks, and now the details I enter are no longer being accepted - even though the exact same card and details are working fine in iTunes, Paypal, and Amazon...
    Nothing has changed. Nothing at all. And yet my Palm Pre 2 is no longer accepting it, just like that.
    I've tried wiping everything, even using the Doctor to start from scratch. No joy at all.
    I went through a lot of trouble to get this phone working, its very disappointing to suddenly have it stop accepting my credit card with the same stupid PMT04001 error every time. =/

    My friend has bought the apple iPad from India and later gifted me. Currently I am in USA, when I am trying to buy an app from App Store, I am unable to do it, bcz it asking two security questions whose answers I don't remember. I contacted apple support here in USA but didn't get the solution as they told me to contact Indian support. I mailed to Indian tech support but they responded me, that they will call me on Thursday, which is too late for me. In this regard, kindly someone suggest me what I can do to avoid such security questions and buy app at the earliest. Hoping for early and positive response on the same.
