Unable to purchase - iOS6 app store problem
For the last three days whenever I try to either update a previously purchased app or purchase a new one I get the error message:
Unable to purchase please try again at a later time.
This is on an iPhone 4 which has been upgraded to iOS 6 and is a 'Verizon iPhone.
The phone is set up to only attempt app downloads when on WiFi.
I have tried opening and closing the app store app and restarting the iPhone - so far no help. I have alos logged out of itunes and logged back in. again no help.
It occurred to me that I needed to go back over everything I had done with the phone for the past few days. I remembered deciding to give the new podcast app a try. I selected several podcasts I wanted to listen to and even subscribe to. I started the download process but it would seem to complete and then require restarting.
I opened the podcast app, and deleted everything I had added and turned of ll subscriptions. After that there were no further problems with the App Store. I would guess that the podcast app was somehow bumping the connection to itunes so that the App Store couldn't connect.

What do you mean by 'refusing from the system', if you are getting an error message then what does it say ?
For a credit card to have a chance of being accepted it needs to be registered to the same name and address (including format and spacing etc) that you have on your iTunes account, and have been issued by a bank in the country where you and your iTunes account are. If it is and if you are getting a 'declined' message then you could check with the card issuer to see if it's them that are declining it, and if not then try contacting iTunes Support (these are user-to-user forums) and see if they know why it's being declined : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption
If when trying to download you are getting a message about a 'problem with a previous purchase' then that implies that iTunes wasn't able to collect the money for your last purchase. If that is the case then you won't be able to download anything else (including app updates) until you've paid off what you owe : Pay an unpaid balance in the iTunes Store - Apple Support
If you aren't getting the 'problem with a previous purchase' message then try logging into your account (not when trying to download something) and see if you get the 'none' option so that you can remove the card's details and be able to download updates to your apps : Change or remove your payment information from your iTunes Store account (Apple ID) - Apple Support -
Purchased items not showing in App Store - Problem is BACK
I post a question earlier, the problem seemed solved, but it is back agin, how frustrating !! here it is the story
I am using iPad 3rd generation, iOS6.0.1. I just recently restored it due to a few crashes and shut down.
I can get most of my app back from restoration, but I can't see any items purchased in App Store in Purchased tab. There is nothing, I tried many steps suggested in the forum, (sign out, shut off, sign back, update all info in my apple ID, etc.) but none of them seems to work.
Later...
Problem solved... The difference is I signed back in not in Setting -> iTunes & App Store, but directly open App Store, and sign in at pop up windown. the order of sign in seems "stupid", it doesn't make sense no matter how you sign in to app store, but it does make the difference. Sigh....
Now...
Problem is back again... I have no clue what's going on here with iTune and App Store... thing seems screw pretty bad... any one can help??

Need help please I just bought this iPad today and I factory reset it and then I plugged into my laptop and downloaded the latest software I went and purchased a app store card and a iTunes card but when I try to download apps it won't let me if anyone can help with this problem it would be greatly appreciated. Help! iOS6 app store freezing on iPhone 4
Hi all,
if anyone can help, I'd be really grateful.
I updated last night to iOS6. When updating my apps this morning, the update froze. The phone is working, internet (on wifi) is fine. Only those apps that are in the update queue are greyed out with an empty bar underneath them.
I've tried closing all my apps, restarting, and hard-restarting. No change.
Any useful suggestions would be very welcome indeed!

I think I also share the same issue. Just last week I upgraded my iPhone 3GS to the new iPhone 4. I continue to use the same carrier and plan with Vodafone Australia, so no changes there
I immediatley noticed that when using 3G Netowork, the app store runs very poorly. On WI-FI it is not a problem. I never noticed this as an issue with my iPhone 3GS. I decided to do a test. I took my iPhone and my friends 3GS. We both are connected to the Vodafone 3G Network and have full reception. We then opend up the app store and searched for an app. Within a few seconds the 3GS loaded up all the apps based on that search. My iPhone 4 continued to display the loading notification on screen and continued to do so for over minute. At that point I just closd the app store.
I have been testing this for almost a week and I can say with certainty there is an issue with the iPhone 4 app store. I dont think it is a network issue as my colleague with the same carrier on a 3GS does not have this problem.
After talking to Apple support I have done the following:
1. Reset the iPhone 4 Network Settings,
2. Restored the iPhone on my last backup
3. Restored the iPhone as a new handset.
None of these have fixed my problem. It is very frustrating that I am unable to use the app store without a WI-FI connection. Is there a problem with the iPhone 4?? It is strange that even with full reception I have terrible 3G performance.
I hope someone at Apple can share a solution to this. I have had feedback from other iPhone 4 users that the app store runs very slow. This also makes it very hard for users to search and buy new apps so surley Apple is losing business.

App will not download to iPad when purchased from App Store - stuck with Cloud icon
Device : iPad Air 32gb wi-fi model (not cellular data)
OS version : 7.1.1 (up to date)

Last night I tried to download an app over wi-fi onto my iPad Air, but the app did not install.
I have plenty of space (the app is 24.1mb, I have 3.4gb free space) and there are no restrictions whatsoever on my iPad - no blocks on App store purchases, no age-related restrictions, no country restrictions etc.
Normally from the App Store page you would tap the price (in this case the app was free), enter your iTunes password, and the app would download.
Also a new icon appears on the home screen and a circle shows the progress of the download.
However this did not happen.
Instead I have the Cloud icon (the one that shows when you have bought an app but it is not currently installed on your device) and a message that says "You've already purchased this, so it will be downloaded now at no additional cost".
If I press OK I am then prompted to enter my iTunes password, the Cloud symbol briefly changes to a circle (and I mean for a split-second, like the blink of an eye) and then the Cloud symbol appears again.
The app does not download - in fact it does not even *attempt* to download.
I have tried this >20 times now and it always occurs excatly like this.
After Googling this problem (which seems common) and reading over a dozen threads on this forum plus Apple's own official support pages, this is what I've tried:
I can re-download other apps that I have previously purchased on this iPad, with no problems.
I purchased another app on my iPhone 5 and was then able to download onto my iPad with no problems.
I have reset my iPad >5 times - both by pressing/holding the home/power buttons, and also a full switch off and restart.
I have logged out of my iTunes account on the iPad, and logged back in.
The wi-fi is Virgin Media fibre optic broadband with a verified speed of 20 meg (confirmed by Speedtest) plus an 802.11-n Belkin router and my iPad will happily load web pages, stream videos on YouTube, download other apps etc.
I have reset/rebooted my internet connection
In an attempt to eliminate by broadband connection from the possible causes, I have switched off my router, linked my iPad to the hotspot feature on my iPhone and tried to download the app over cellular data, but still cannot download the app.
I have tried on 2 other wi-fi networks but still cannot download this one app.
My iTunes account has a cerdit balance from an iTunes card, but the app was free anyway
Nothing I try will download the app in question.
The app is iPad only, so I cannot install on my iPhone to try and kick-start the process.
I guess I could install the app on my computer and then sync the iPad, but that's *working around* the problem - it's not *fixing* the problem.
(Since getting the iPad I use almost never use my computer. And anyway what if I did not have a computer? Didn't iOS go "PC-free" with version 5?)
I would like to call Apple but my 90-day telephone support has expired (the iPad is around 6 months old) and I don't want to buy Apple Care for this one problem.
I can't make it to an Apple Store to speak to a Genius.
Bearing in mind the list of things I've already tried, what do I do next?

No need to apologize, I actually found the phrase "If your iPad ever craps the bed" amusing under the circumstances
I checked the list of installed apps like you suggested (Settings>General>Usage>Storage>Show all apps) but this problem app is not in the list. I have also swiped down on the home screen to search for it, but again it does not show.
While it has not let me download the app (and I just tried it again) it has helped me to eliminate a few things from the list of what to try, and I can definitely conclude that it has not downloaded.
I guess I need to fire up my PC and download it / sync my iPad.

I'm getting an error message when trying to make in-app purchases.
Error purchasing from App Store
Cannot connect to itunes Store (0)
I can purchase songs in itunes, but not the in-app purchase for Kingdoms at War. I've checked the parental controls and all the other obvious things in settings. Let me know if anyone knows how to correct this. Thanks.Here is an update and more information: I actually have two MBP's. One is a mid-2009 model and one is a new, mid-2012. I transferred files from the mid-2009 to the mid-2012, but I use both computers frequently. This problem only occurs on the mid-2009 and not on the mid-2012. I have authorized both computers.

When is Apple going to fix the iOS6 App Store app? With the iOS5 version, you could easily view apps by release date in order to keep up with the new offerings. I usually bought one or two newly-released apps every week (many of which admittedly got deleted within a few days, but at least I tried them...). Now (with the new version of the App Store) I can't view apps by release date (at least not a list longer than a dozen or so titles in a specific subject area). As a result, I rarely buy new apps any more. It seems to me that it would be in Apple's best interests to fix this problem.
