Unable to Purchase Itunes Gift Certificate

Attempted to purchase Itunes Gift Certificate to be emailed to recipient from the Itunes store. Credit Card and Paypal were denied when there is no reason for denial.

It's also happened to me!
This month, i purchased more than 10 itunes gift cerf. by appstore. And i can't buy any gift from today.
The message "Unable to gift at this time" is always showed.
I contact the itunes support, they said that my account is not in their terms requirement in section B. When i ask which is the specific point, that my account fault, they didn't tell me.
So, i worry this is a limitation that they don't tell us before.. and i don't know the limitation value.

  • Purchase iTunes Gift Certificate without iTunes account?

My father wants to buy me an iTunes gift certificate on-line, but he neither has nor wants an iTunes account of his own and/or iTunes on his computer. He does have a credit card, but as far as I can tell, there's no way to do buy an on-line certificate for someone else without your own iTunes account. Does anyone know if this is possible? Can't believe Apple would be stupid enough to leave money on the table just to try to make sure iTunes is on every computer on the planet, but I've been wrong about them before, too.

    -> iTunes Gift Cards
Or he can go to just any store (7-11, Circle K, Walmart, Best Buy, Circuit City, King Soopers, Safeway, etc.) and get one.

  • Why is my id not eligible to purchase itunes gift certificates?

I can't purchase items with new credit card on new computer. iTunes is responding that my ID is not currently eligible to purchase gift cetertificates.

My account had a $0.48 credit balance and it said it was going to charge my credit card, which is what I wanted. I have since purchased something to remove the credit balance then tried again. Still no luck.

Seriously... I finally found the link to purchase gift certificates to be emailed to the recipient, and at the end of the process, I click "buy" and i get a pop up message saying my account is "not authorized to purchase gifts"  ***? Does Apple realize it is almost Christmas? People will be buying gifts...frustrating and stupid...who's runningthis show, anyway?

  • Transfer songs I purchased w/iTunes gift certificates but loaded on a friend's Mac to my PC

I originally posted this problem in a way that didn't reflect that I bought the iTunes songs that I am trying to transfer from a Mac to a PC, so the post was removed. Please note I am not doing anything illegal. I bought the songs using iTunes gift certificates, but didn't know how to use the iTunes store and know next to nothing about technology, so my friend created a playlist for me on her Mac, it is under her name, but she used my gift certificates to purchase the songs, so I paid for the music. So, here's my problem (and take into account I am not technically savvy). I use my iPod nano every day and have an extensive playlist, but my iPod nano is synched with a friend's Mac and under her account, and she has moved out of the area I live in. I downloaded iTunes for Window (7) onto my PC and opened my own account. How do I transfer my playlist from my iPod nano under my friend's Mac account (and there's no way to contact her) to my PC and my own iTunes account? I was told to first "unsynch" my iPod from her Mac using Senuti or Export on my PC, but I cannot find a free version of either program, and don't want to download a free program from a website that may be unreliable. From there, I'm totally lost. So, I basically want to know if this can be done, because I have to hire a technician at my local Apple store to do this whole process for me (I'm terrified of losing my playlist) and want to keep the costs down (they charge $40 per half hour and money is tight for me). I also want to back up my playlist, and looked into creating a Cloud account, but it says to synch my iPod with Cloud first, and I don't dare to try that on my own, so I guess I'll have to pay for the techs to do it. Is there another way to store my playlist, such as a flash drive? Still, I don't dare to touch anything on my iPod without face-to-face technical support. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.Thank you!

  • Can I purchase a iTunes gift certificate to send to an email address via the iTunes app and not via the desktop?

It would be super convenient to be able to purchase the gift certificate via email option from the iPhone using the iTunes app or even the Apple Store app so the recipient receives immediately but I don't see that this is possible.  I also can't see my purchase history without logging into the computer. This seems super odd for apple not to provide all options from the iPhone directly so I must be overlooking something. At this time of the year and with the economy as bad as it is, I'm not too keen to send gift cards in the mail!
    Thanks much for the help.

I was wondering if that gift card can only be used on the itunes store, meaning I can only buy songs, tv shows, music videos , etc.. ...

  • HT204088 How can I tell if an iTunes gift certificate I purchased for someone else has been redeemed?

I purchased a gift certificate through the iTunes store and although I can apparently re send it, I cannot tell if it has been redeemed.
Does anyone know the navigation to check if it has been redeemed?
    thanks

    Probably not, but go here:
    http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/
and follow the instructions to report the issue to the iTunes Store. Perhaps there will be something they can do for you.
Should you ever need to resend a gift in the future, follow the procedure detailed here:

Chris CA,  62,910 points.  Dang...that's a lot of support.  Before I start, let me say Thank You!  You need to answer a lot of people's questions to achieve that.
    1)  You slightly misunderstood my letter through no fault of your own.  It was a generic compilation of information submitted by members of this discussion turned into a letter by me for use on the Apple Feedback site.  I myself did not receive an e-mail.  I actually was prevented from purchasing any more iTunes gift cards at a certain point and was given a cryptic response from the iTunes store that my request could not be processed.  It was only after investigation on my part that I found out the reason was the $100 max per 30 day rule.  I'd try to find where in the Apple's support site I did find that information...but, well, you are just going to have to trust me.  However, others in this discussion stated they received the information in an e-mail.  I used that fact in my letter as it seemed to create a less "cumbersome" feedback submission.
    2)  "Why look for iOS apps?"  That's a good very good question!  I miswrote.  I should have said "OS X apps."  That is where iTunes is located on the Feedback Site.  Good catch.  As you know (62,910 points is a lot of "knowing"), when you submit feedback you must click on the item of which you are going to write.  I must be so ramped up for the impending release of the new iPhone that I had iOS on the brain.  My bad. :-)
    3)  In all the time this discussion has been alive (over a year), and in all my googling, I never read about an option to contact iTunes support and ask them to remove this limit from my account.  It is too bad you didn't come to this discussion when it started in May of 2011 to offer that piece of advice!  Surprisingly, that information wasn't anywhere on the Apple site where I read about the $100/30 day limit.  Maybe it is there now.  But, it sure wasn't there when I read it.  It would have been very helpful.
    4)  You say "(which they can do and often have done for many people here)."  I am curious, what do you mean by "here."  Not "here" as in "here in THIS discussion forum."  Right?  I don't see anyone in this discussion aware of that information and posting it for others to read.  By "here" I assume you mean the ENTIRE Apple Support Community.  Unfortunately, until you arrived on the scene, none of those from that gigantic "here" came across THIS discussion to share their good fortune and knowledge about removing the $100 limit on iTunes gift card purchases per 30 days.
Well, I think that wraps it up for another day.  I am off to iTunes support to get this limit removed from my account.
    Adios amigos!
    Mr. Luigi

  • I purchased 5 itunes gift certificates, only printed one. Where do I go to print the other 4?

I purchased 5 itunes gift certificates, only printed one. Where do I go to print the other 4?

I should have printed the gift certificates one at a time as I purchased. Lesson learned too late.
Went through the iTunes Gift Options last night, but couldn't find how to access gift certificates already processed, but not yet printed.
    Thanks

  • Not authorized to purchase ITunes gift cards from this account.

I made three purchases of ITunes Gift Certificates and then am told on subsequent purchase attempt that I have to go to an Apple retailer to do this. What is up? Same is true on my spouse's account.

This problem crops up for people from time to time and no good explanation has ever been given (that I've seen, anyway), though it primarily stems from the time a few months back when a Chinese criminal ring cracked the algorithm used in certificates and issued thousands of counterfeit iTunes gifts. Contact the iTunes Store Customer Service department using the form on their Support page (select the category and subcategory closest to the issue you're reporting and you'll find an "Email Us" button) and explain your situation to them. Perhaps they can help, though it's not unknown for them to just reply "it's not possible, and we can't tell you why it's not".
    Good luck.

  • ITunes gift certificates

    More a rant than a question :)
I want to buy a relative an album on iTunes. She lives in Italy, I live in the UK. Yet we can only redeem an iTunes gift certificate in the country it was purchased.
Why is this? iTunes is missing a massive market here, though I assume there's some licensing issue. I can buy the album on Amazon and have it sent directly to her, but why not make it downloadable worldwide? Anyone know?..

    It is a licensing/copyright issue.
As much as we'd like to think there is a global economy, there isn't when it comes to copyrights.

  • ITunes Gift Certificates in different country.

Is it possible for me to purchase an iTunes gift certificate for a friend in another country? I live in US, friend in China. Thanks.

As far as I know, this is not possible.
    Sorry.

  • Missing iTunes gift certificate

I recently sent an iTunes gift certificate to a friend, but they never received it. I sent it about a week ago via email, and it was for $20. I really need this to go through, or for it to be refunded. Thanks .

First have your friend check their email settings, both in their email application and with their ISP, to make sure the mail didn't get filtered out by a spam filter. Then here are the steps to resend a gift certificate...
    1. Launch iTunes.
    2. Click on the Store icon in the Source pane to go to the iTunes Store.
    3. Click on your account name to sign in to the iTunes Store.
    4. Enter your password.
    5. Click Purchase History.
    6. Click the small grey arrow next to the Gift Certificate you'd like to resend.
    7. Scroll to the bottom of the detail screen for the Gift Certificate and re-enter the recipient's email address.
