Unable to purchase, won't accept billing information

I have tried several times to purchase music.  Itunes said that purchase request was coming from a "new" computer and that I needed to update billing info.  in order to continue,  I did this and it didn't work.  It gave me the same message, also saying to "correct the following errors", when there were none.  Also, I purchased music on this same computer not too long ago and I didn't have this problem, Please help!  FYI, yes this is a newer computer, but like I've said, I have already purchased items before with no problems.

I'm having the same problem.  I bought the phone through their website. Got the phone, activated the number. Now I'm trying to register my phone so I can pay online and they tell me the security code is wrong.  Also they tell me to I have to answer a security question about my first pet.  Which I never answered because I don't have a profile.  I called the CSR support. They said they can't fix the problem unless I have the code or answer the question.  Total **bleep**...  Basically I'm screwd. I have to return the phone. PAY A RESTOCKING FEE of $35 bucks and lose the $25 activation fee.  Basically I'm out $60 bucks for their mistake or computer glitch...
Good luck

  • Help. It won't accept my information

I already put all my information in for appleID billing and it tells me to come to this website. Why doesn't it accept my information on my iPhone ?

If you are getting a message to contact iTunes Support then you can do so via this link and ask them why the message is appearing (we are fellow users here on these forums, we won't know why) : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

  • HT2589 I had filled in all the information and log in to store with my apple ID but there is still error to purchases something. The billing information that I filled in is correct and apple is charging me for 1 US dollar. But why There is still purchase

Please help me.  I have already login the store with my apple ID which already filled with billing address but there is still purchase error. What can I do? The billing information that I filled in is correct but when I click purchase it appear error

You mean the fees that apple charged to test my credit card information are refundable?
Yes. Again, it's just a hold, not a charge, and your bank will release the hold withing a few days.
It refunds only after I purchase?
No. No purchase is necessary. Again, it's just a hold placed to make sure the card is valid.
If I don't purchase anything just change info will it refunds too?
    Yes.
Please read the information to which I linked.
    Regards.

Spooky6243 has the solution for CC updates (it worked for me, anyway!): log in to the Apple Store on your web browser (http://http://store.apple.com/us) and then update your account inof there...credit card updates will appear on the iTunes application after making changes thru the website...I wonder why Apple never tells us this in the first place? Probably because it should work thru either application...good luck everyone!
P.S. - And make sure your iTunes app is closed before you make changes on the website (this may help you Geordon).

  • HT4539 Why won't my billing information go through?

    Does apple accept debit cards?

    Not any more....
Here are the payment methods that are accepted by the iTunes store:
    Accepted payment types
You need an Apple ID to buy items in the iTunes Store, Mac App Store, App Store and iBookstore. When you create an Apple ID for any of these stores, you will need to provide a payment method for purchases. The available payment methods vary by country, but typically you can use:
    Credit cards
    iTunes Cards
    iTunes Store Gift Certificates
    Content Codes
Store credit (including Allowance Account balances)
    ClickandBuy
    PayPal
In countries where the iTunes Store only sells apps, the accepted payment methods are Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. Other payment types such as gift cards, store credit, monthly allowances, ClickandBuy, and PayPal are not accepted. Depending on your App Store country, prices may be listed in your local currency, US Dollars, or Euros.
    Additional Information
You cannot use American Express with the iTunes Store in India. If you have an Apple ID in India and American Express was your designated payment method, you will be prompted to change it when you make a purchase or sign in to your account.

  • I am unable to purchase as I cannot complete the address as it is asking for a USA adress and not a GB address. How do I overcome this?

I was unable to purchase music as the billing address prompt was for the USA. As I am purchasing from England how do I overcome this? Is there a prompt to change the billing adress to GB and form $ to £.

No, I did not have to purchase the upgrade. But here is what I believe my
error was: earlier today, I upgraded to LR 5.6 on my laptop. Then I
upgraded to the same on my desktop, but became confused and installed it
    TWICE.
Is this the reason that Adobe is asking me to license Lightroom and to come
up with a serial number? (I have my serial # from LR4, but it does not do.)
Should I try to deactivate LR 5 and then try again to upgrade to it?
Or am I still confused and need to purchase the LR 5.6 upgrade? Thanks for
    your help.

I have the same problem - it is maddening. I rely on this iPad for work so this is not just an annoyance! The above solutions of changing the appleid on the device or on the website do not work.
The old email address no longer exists - I haven't used it in a year probably and I no longer have the account.  I logged into the appleid website and there is no trace of the old email address so there is nothing that can be deleted or changed there.  On the iPad there is no trace of the old email address so nothing can be deleted there either. I have updated the iPad software and the same problem comes right back.  Every 2 seconds I am asked to log in using the old non-existent email.  The device is currently useless.
The only recent change to anything was the addition of an Apple TV device, which was set up using the correct login and password.
Does anyone have any ideas? The iPad has been backed up to the iCloud so presumably it now won't recognize the current iCloud account? So restoring may notbe an option?

  • My billing information is correct however iTunes won't accept it. I have tried changing it to "no" card, my statements from the banks are addressed to the same address. What the **** is going on?!

Debit cards already in an account seem to keep working, but many people have reported that when entering or updating a card that debit cards are now rejected, and they're not listed in the accepted payment methods.
As to your issue, only the iTunes Store can help you with this. I understand the irritation, but please note that the U2 free offer is just a single song, not an entire album, so we're only talking about $.99 if you miss out but still want the track. Not a big deal, in my humble opinion.

  • My toddler got hold of my phone and tried purchasing something it was declined due to no funds he has then deleted my find my iPhone app it won't let me as its going to additional billing information required is there a way to fix this

My toddler got hold of my phone and tried making a purchase it was declined due to insufficient funds he has then deleted my find my iPhone app and I can't reinstall it as its asking for additional billing information is there some way around this

    Hello Sammy,
Thank you for providing the details of the App Store issue you are experiencing.  To be able to purchase or download apps again, you may need to update your billing information.  It sounds like you do not want to associate a credit card with your account, so you may be able to select "None" as a billing option in your account settings.
You can find steps to update your billing information in the following article:
    iTunes Store: Changing account information
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1918
If you do notice that there is a pending charge on your account regarding the accidental purchase, I recommend following the steps in the article below to report this to the iTunes Store:
To report an issue with your iTunes Store, App Store, Mac App Store, or iBookstore purchase, follow these steps:
Find the email receipt for your purchase.
Click Report a Problem under the app that is having the issue.
When prompted, enter the Apple ID and password you used to purchase the item, then click Report a Problem.
Click Report a Problem next to the item you are having an issue with.
From the Choose Problem dropdown menu, choose the appropriate issue.
Follow the onscreen instructions and—if prompted—type a description of the problem into the text field.
Click Submit to have your issue reviewed.
You can find the full article here:

+*iPhone 4.0.1 unable to update iTunes/AppStore Billing Information: Prevents Purchasing/Installations*+
++When accessing the AppStore I am prompted to update my iTunes billing information. This process generates a loop when selecting the county and will not update. This prevents purchases or free downloads from the AppStore.++
    Details:
+I have a new iPhone 4. When I received it I activated the phone, restored from back-up and updated the software to 4.0.1. After the software update was complete I tried to install Free and Purchased applications from the App store. I cannot install any free or purchased iTunes application, music, or video.+

    *Things I have tried:*
    - Updated billing information via iTunes on the Mac (Updates successfully) - but will still prompt for updates on the iPhone.
    -Restarted iPhone (same)
-Erased iPhone and activated as new without restoring from backup (same)
-Contact iPhone support (no other advice then what happened here the first time) the second attempt at support has resulted in a call with iPhone and iTunes Support.
I will post back my findings, but has anyone found a solution.

The only difference I noticed was that the card that kept looping was a visa check card, verse a credit card (mastercard). I am not sure if there is a problem within the iPhone application. I don't believe this to be an iTunes or App store problem because the account profile will accept the card information via a computer. This problem seems to be within the address verification process the iPhone/app store does only on the iPhone platform. Apple support and iTunes support seems to be clueless. My original post is the only way I've gotten it to work.

    Hello milkisoo,
Wow! Purchasing a new computer and monitor should be a fun and exciting experience, and instead, it sounds like it’s turned into a complete nightmare. I can only imagine your disappointment when you found two charges relating to its purchase on your debit card account, and I’m sorry for any aggravation this caused.
As I want to provide you some piece of mind, I pulled up your order number using your email address attached to the forum. After review of its payment information, I found we collected only one payment.  However, when orders are first placed on BestBuy.com, a pending authorization should show up on your bank card to make sure funds are available for the order until it is fulfilled. From there, the authorization should drop off and the collection charge should appear.  This is the case for your one charge of $1,051.69.
It also sounds like an error may have occurred when you initially attempted to place your order,  resulting in one of your gift cards not registering properly and the order not being completed.  Your card’s issuing bank doesn’t appear to have recognized this and pushed through the pending authorization. This occurred a second time when your account information didn’t quite match up with what we had on file. Please know that we haven’t ordered a collection of these funds and your issuing bank should release the two pending authorizations within 5 to 7 business days.
    Thank you for posting.

  • HT1918 why does my app credit card billing information change every time I have an update on my phone? then it won't let me correct it

Ok when I install an app, even a free one, it always asks for my log in then takes me to the app. Never have problems with this unless my phone has an update, as soon as I install an update, my billing information get's messed up so it won't allow me to download or update apps. I've gone in to correct the billing information, which was only the security code from the back of my card, and it will not accept the changes. How do I fix this?
