Unable to reach requested server

2 weeks ago my bb suddenly wouldn't access the internet via my bt home hub 3 wireless  access since is very sporadic. I have tried resetting and powering off the hub and the bb works for a while then drops again, bt have checked the line
and they say it's a bb issue can anybody assist please

And this issue is constant? Or sporadic?
In any event, please first try this. With a strong carrier network signal (e.g., not merely WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2 each should result in a message coming to your BB...please wait for that before proceeding to the next step):
1) Register HRT
KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with the wireless network
Please wait for one "registration" message to arrive to your Messages app
2)  Resend Service Books (pre-BB10 devices only)
KB02830 Send the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service
Please wait for "Activation" Messages, one per already configured email account, to arrive in your Messages. If you have no already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.
3) Reboot
With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes.
See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
Hopefully that will get things going again for you! If not, then please try other WiFi networks, as well as browsing via your carrier data plan. If it works via other means, then it is much less likely to be a BB issue.
Good luck!

Hi and Welcome to the Forums!
Can you clarify please? You say you cannot connect to servers, then you say WiFi is perfect. Then you say it was OK until yesterday. So I am confused about what you are attemting to do...is it via WiFi or via your carrier data network connection?
Anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness creeps in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot.

  • WiFi unable to find requested server...

I have an 8120 Pearl and I successfully connected to my home WiFi network. But, whenever i try to access a website, google.com for example, I'm getting "unable to find the requested server". I don't have a BB data plan, but I shouldn't need one when using wifi, so what could it be? I have security enabled WPA and I'm able to connect using my iPhone and 3 laptops... does WPA have anything to do with it?
The browser is set to hotspot browser and also here are my wifi diagnostics:
    WiFi
    Current Profile: HZ_wifi
    SSID: HZ_wifi
    Security Type: Pre-Shared Key (PSK)
    Local IP Address: 192.168.1.4
    Signal level: -49dBm
    Connection Data Rate: 48Mbps
    Status: Network acquired
I've tried power cyclying the router and that didn't help, I am able to connect via wifi on my friends network so it can't be the phone, and its not the router, i can only think its that the two are incompatible, could this be the case?

I do have the exact problem with my bold, I have my laptop and a nokia phone connected to home wi-fi and both working perfectly.
the issue with the bold is that it connects to the wi-fi network but it works only for few minutes and then the browser says: "Unable to find requested server" and the Wi-fi mark changes to gray after i was able to visit few sites. i dont have or intend to have a data plan as I have access to Wi-fi connection almost all the time. I have tried resetting the router and it didn't work. Any one with the right solution???

  • Error 1013000 loading application: Unable to Create Request Server Thread

We are currently getting the following error "Error 1013000 loading application: Unable to Create Request Server Thread" when attempting to load more than 5 applications onto our new Essbase server. The O/S is Windows 2003 and we are running Essbase 6.5.5. Our old server, running Windows 2000, is not experiencing this problem.

I think I've found the problem! It seems the server team didn't set up the swap file, hence, when physical memory started to run a little low on the box, the thread could not be created. FYI, we had already increased the SERVERTHREADS option in the Essbase.cfg file.

  • I keep getting 'unable to find requested server' while trying to go on internet

I bought the Blackberry curve last week and have had pblms connecting to home wi fi.  I have it all set up and the fone recognises the wi fi on it and only let me connect once to the wi fi. After that it keeps coming up with the message - unable to find requested server - even though it did work once the first time after I had set up the wi fi wizard.  I had put in the key.  Can someone help please.

    Hi gerrybl,
    Welcome to the Suppport Forums!
Can you provide more information please?
Do you have a data plan with your wireless provider that includes internet browsing?
Are you able to complete all the steps in this blog post to connect to Wi-Fi? http://bbry.lv/oXh7oV
Are you able to connect to any other Wi-Fi networks or Hotspots?
    Thanks,
    -FS

  • Unable to find requested server

have a contract with a data plan but when I try to use my wifi at home it says that I am connected but when I go to the internet brower it tells me "Unable to find requested server". This only happends on my wifi at home. My other devices work without a problem on my home wifi. What do I need to do to get my Blackberry Torch 9800 to work off from my home wifi?

I had this problem untl I setup a Hom Network that included my smartphone which shows up with it's own separate IP address. My office PC is the host and it is ethernet or wired network. I have 2 wire gateway wifi modem and all is supported by my carrier. I feel confident if you contact your ISP and ask for help in setting up a Home Network your problem will be solved. Btw, make sure your wireless Customer Service is informed by their Internet Service Support and by yourself. Good luck

It is definitely a Verizon problem. You must reach someone in technical support and have them send a trouble ticket to the email server department. they need to release the IP address from any restrictions. This is what I did, and it was fixed in 24 hours. You must tell them your IP address.

  • Disk Swapping Issue: Error 1013000 loading application: Unable to Create Request Server Thread

I am still getting the server thread issue (see earler posting), despite having increased the SERVERTHREADS parameter. We seem to hit a limit on the number of applications that can be loaded at any one time, and as soon as it is reached, the error appears. Unload a few applications and the error temporarily goes away. When looking at the disk swapping section in the "System Info" tab of the "Server Information" dialog, the status is "Enabled, File not Found". We have less than 4Gbs of memory (3,833,168), so Essbase should be able to display the swap file. The servers that we are experiencing this problem have Windows 2003 installed, with Essbase 6.5.5. The old server that does have this problem is running Windows 2000 and Essbase 6.5.5.On the compatibility section of the Hyperion web-site, they confirm that Essbase 6.5.5 and Windows 2003 will work.Any ideas, apart from installing Windows 2000, which apparently isn't an option?!Cheers,Doug

  • Unable to reach SAP server

    Hi,
Need some input for trouble shooting the problem we are facing.
The SAP instance is running on Unix server. Now, we could not reach server from SAP Logon pad. It is timing out.
But we could ping the system. Also could logon as admin to sap and see the instances are all running.
Is there any processes to trouble shoot the issue?
    Thanks,
    Sam

    Hi Sam...
Check that your DB is up and running, (open a telnet session and logon as <sid>adm run R3trans -d, if return code is 0000 DB is ok, if not check the DB
    Also check logs dev_disp, dev_ms, and dev_w0

The sample shows siteid (all lower case)

If the port is already in use how to find which server is running on that port, how to find the process and kill it. I am using weblogic 8.1 sp4 in Solaris 8.

    Bruce:
It sounds like (as you already note) failed to shutdown WLS, that is why the
.loc file was held and why the port is in use, WLS process was still
running. To see why it failed to shut down, I would examine the
weblogic.log, aslo the servers std out and err. Additionally taking a
thread dump (if possible) on the "it wont shut down" wls java process should
show (maybe unless the VM is hosed), where/what is hanging on/around. Do
you happen to have native code running with wls, say a type 2 JDBC driver?
Otherwise it sounds like a VM bug. But more data is needed to be sure.
    Cheers

I was shutting down the WLS server using the console shutdown and itfailed to shutdown completely. I then attempted to use the kill command on
the process which usually works. This time I was unable to kill the process
without using the kill -9 command. When I attempted to bring the server
back up I got a failure to get a lock on the embedded ldap. I removed the
.loc file and came further up but was unable to get further than the
listener ports which were still locked to the old process. Do you know of
anything I can do the get the WLS server back up without rebooting my

netstat -an shows the port is in use but the only process that is alloweduse that port is WLS.

Check for the value @ 1447 position in the xml message that you are trying to send to web service..
may be a date filed/decimal value which is not in expected format.
