Trash the preference files while application is NOT Running.
Easiest way to find out if this is the problem is by:
• Create a new User-Account
• Log out of Your old one and into this
• Re-try iMovie
If it now works OK - then 99.9% the problem is iMovie pref. file that needs to be trashed.

Hey guys,
So this is follow up from my debarkle with the EDD. I found out my problem with copying files from Mac to EDD and vice versa was a result of a not so good EDD ( i had an apollo hard drive from imation) that was not very compatible with macs. So i did my research and found out that the best hard drives were Western Digital and Seagate. I bought the newest western digital EDD 1TB and formated it to FAT32 and guess what...no problems so far. The only problem is that FAT32 format doesn't copy files larger than about 4 gigs so i couldnt copy a movie from my brothers computer onto my EDD that was 1080p. You could probably resolve that by partitioning a small part of your hard drive in ExFAT? but yeah, hopefully that helped guys.

You're not talking to a team of Apple employees poised to jump on your question. We're all just users here, and we might be doing something else...
You cannot delete the App store App. It is somewhere on your Home screens, or you have dragged it into a folder. Any folder. If all else fails Settings > General > Reset > Reset Home Screen Layout.

I'm not an expert on this, but it could indicate different problems. I assume that the pinwheel goes away after a while. If not, then seems that the activity in the window is locked up.
You might look at the memory usage on your computer. Open Activity Monitor in your Utilities folder and look at the memory usage on your computer. You may not have enough ram.
If you hadn't shut down and restarted your computer lately, you may try doing that to see if it clears up temp files and free up some memory. If you don't have enough memory, try closing other applications to see if it helps any.
You can also look at the CPU usage in Activity Monitor to see what's using up any high percentage of the CPU.

You can only watch the movie on the device you rented it on. Here's a snippet from the Apple Support site (italics mine):
If you download a rented movie on your computer: You can transfer it to a device such as your Apple TV (1st generation), iPhone, iPad, or iPod if it’s a standard-definition film (movies in HD can only be watched on your computer, iPad, iPhone 4 or later, iPod touch (4th generation or later), or Apple TV). Once you move the movie from your computer to a device, the movie will disappear from your computer's iTunes library. You can move the movie between devices as many times as you wish during the rental period, but the movie can only exist on one device at a time.
If you download a rented movie on your iPhone 4 or later, iPad, iPod touch (4th generation or later), or Apple TV: It is not transferable to any other device or computer.

That suggests that the installer is getting damaged during the download.
I'd first try downloading an installer from the Apple website using a different web browser:

If you use Firefox instead of IE for the download (or vice versa), do you get a working installer?

Please anyone who knows why dependence files cannot be found?
CR 2008 dependence files cannot be found during the web setup project build. Nevertheless, this problem did not prevent the project from being installed on the server but I need to know why it couldn't be found? while I'm having the latest service packs installed on my development machine (SP0, SP1, SP-Fix 1, 2, 3 and 4 including ClickOnce and Merge Modules).

Hi,
CR 2008 for VS has a merge module that will be copied to the C:\Program Files\Common Files\Merge Modules for example (CRRuntime_12_1.msm, CRRuntime_12_1_da.msm, CRRuntime_12_1_de.msm, u2026).
According to CR documentation in order to deploy a project which uses a crystal reports we have to including one or more of these files in the setup project (Merge Modules).
As I understand these files can help the setup project to know which dependence files are needed for the application to be deployed successfully with CR.
You mentioned
(The merge modules for Crystal Reports 2008 SP1 are dependent on the C++ library files from 2005 SP1.) I understood the above message.
But what did you mean by this? What are the merge modules that you are mentioning hear?
(I know this isn't what you want to hear but the merge modules just aren't available any other way. Microsoft doesn't have them available for download, and we are not permitted to make them available.)

And, where is the music coming from, iTunes? If so, that is a known problem with Premiere Elements (just about any version).
The answer has been to convert the iTunes music to the wav version in iTunes.

If you are unable to remember your password, security questions, don’t have access to your rescue address or are unable to reset your password for whatever reason, your only option is to contact Apple ID Support, upon speaking to an operator you should explain that your problem is related to your Apple ID, this way you will not be charged for assistance, even if you don’t have an AppleCare plan.
The operator will take you through some steps you may have already tried, however they need to be sure they have exhausted all usual approaches before trying to reset your account, so you should try to be helpful and show patience with the procedure.
The operator will need to verify they are speaking to the account holder and may ask you some questions that only the account holder could know, and you will need to answer them if the process is to proceed.
Once the operator has verified your identity they will send a message through to your device which contains an alpha numeric code, which you will need to read back to them.
Once this has been completed they will send an email to your iCloud email address after a period of 24 hours, so you should check that mail is enabled in your devices iCloud settings.
Upon receipt of the email, use the reset link provided to reset your password, after which you should be able to make the adjustments to iCloud that you wish to do.

When I try to same an image under the command 'save as' it will only let me save as file types 'firefox document' or 'all files' and when I try to look at them later they dont work. How can I save an image as the same file type it is on the web site?!

Thanks Alex, but sadly I already tried that. Neither .docx or .xlsx files show up in the content list. They both show as a Chrome HTML document so changing how Firefox addresses those doesn't help since it thinks its the same type of file. I don't think I can manually add files into the "Content Type" left side nav.
