Unable to open RAW files in CS6 after update

Hi all,
I have Photoshop CS6 and have been able to open my D4 Raw files with no issues using the Camera Raw version 7.1 plugin.
Yesterday I upgraded my Mac OS from Snow Leopard to Yosemite (a big jump I agree) and proceeded to update Photoshop to the latest version as well as installing Adobe DNG Converter 8.8.
I am apparently still using the same 7.1 plugin version as I always have but I am now no longer able to open any RAW files through Photoshop as it displays a message saying 'files not recognised' when I try to open them.
Have I skipped too many updates? Do the latest Photoshop CS6 updates leave me unable to open RAW files? Am I being pushed down the CC route?
Could anybody offer any help at all as I have a wedding to edit but cannot open any files!!! Stress!!!
I backed up my system through Time Machine before I did the update but im not sure if I restore that I will still have Yosemite OS running.
Any help or advice really is appreciated.

Camera RAW should be at version 8.8 for CS6

Unable to open RAW file in CS6 via LR 4.1

Not able to open in CS6 from LR 4.1 the RAW (CR2) files created by the new Canon 5D MKIII - the CS6 program opens but the actual RAW file itself does not open in ACR or Photoshop so unable to edit directly from Lightroom.
(For the record I can open these same CR2 RAW files directly in ACR 7 or CS6)

Are you sure you can open the 5D.3 CR2 files with CS6/ACR7?
When I open your file in CS6/ACR7 I get a message that it cannot be opened and a link to an Adobe knowledge-base article that tells what versions of ACR support what cameras—which of course doesn’t apply to beta versions, which ACR7 is, but is generally appropriate to the situation.
The blog post Dorin linked to suggests the 5D.3 is not yet supported by ACR7. I suspect Photoshop CS6 camera-support is lagging behind CS5 because the RAW team had LR4 to get out the door before CS6 was released as beta.
The 5D.3 CR2 files ARE supported by ACR6.7 RC in CS5 if perhaps that is what you’ve been successful with. The 5D3 CR2 files are also convertible to DNG by the DNGC 6.7 RC and then could be opened in ACR7.

I have had a H/D rebuild and reloaded Elelemts. Now I find I am unable to read any of my Canon5Dmk2 raw files . Any suggestions please.

I cant read CR2 Raw Files files in Photoshop CS3. I have tried to download the relevent plug-in from Adobe which is version 4.6. I think I am downloading it but a box comes up saying WinRAR in not free and giving an option to buy now. I have clicked close and still cannot read my files in photoshop. Do I need to buy WinRAR or am I doing something else wrong? Please Help...

You won't be able to use the 5.6 camera raw plugin in cs3, the newest one that works for cs3 is 4.6.
You would need the 6.5 dng converter which converts your files to copies in the dng format which can then be opened cs3
using the 4.6 camera raw. I guess your on a windows machine?

Were you able to install the 4.6 camera raw plugin? If in cs3 you look under Help>About Plug-In>Camera Raw
that should say the version you have installed.
I guess you got that message about winrar when trying to unzip the downloaded 4.6 camera raw plugin?

Have you used Nikon Transfer on those files? Early versions are known to corrupt files so that ACR can't read them. Nikon has since fixed the bug so new versions are safe.

I am unable to open raw files taken on my Canon Rebel T1i in my version of Photoshop CS3. When I import raw files into Bridge they come up as patches with CR2 on them and when clicked on, a notice comes up stating that Photoshop does not recognize these files. I tried to update my Adobe Camera Raw by downloading version 4.6 from the Adobe Website, but when I clicked on the plus-in, I got another message that Photoshop does not recognize this file. I spoke with a representative from Canon who said that I could not update CS3 and that I should subscribe to the Cloud. I would prefer to use my CS3, if possible. Can anyone advise me what to do?

The T1i was first supported by Camera Raw 5.4 which is only compatible with CS4 and later

The Olympus Stylus 1 was first supported in Camera Raw 8.3 which is only compatible with CS6 and CC.
It is not compatible with CS5 or older and never will be.
If you do not want to upgrade to CS6 or CC then you can dwonload the free Adobe DNG converter, convert all Stylus 1 Raw files to DNGs then edit the DNGs in CS5.

The D800E is definitely supported in Camera Raw 7.1 which is compatible with CS6.
Which version of Camera Raw are you running?
Win: Help > About Plug-In > Camera Raw
Mac: Photoshop > About Plug-In > Camera Raw

Reading RAW files from Nikon D600 in CS5.

Support for the D600 was added in Camera Raw 7.3 which will only work in Photoshop CS6. You choise is to update to CS6 or doenload the free DNG Converter 7.3 (scroll down to the Downloads) and convert the D600 NEF files to DNG DNG files.

I downloaded the Adobe DNG converter and that program is also telling me that there are no found camera files that are supported...

DNG Converter 7.1 RC (beta) can convert D800 files. It's available at Labs.Adobe.com which also has ACR 7.1 RC that will process D800 files in Photoshop CS6.

Photoshop cs5.1 won't read raw files from canon eosM, what to do?

The EOS M requires at least Camera Raw 7.2 but Raw 7.2 is only compatible with CS6 or higher (CS5 is only compatible up to Raw 6.7)

To open and edit Raw files, either upgrade to CS6 or join the Cloud and get the CC version.
Alternatively convert the Raw files from the EOS M to DNGs using the free DNG converter then edit the DNGs in CS5.1
