Hi,
Please go through the following link once :-
Link :[http://support.bea.com/application_content/product_portlets/support_patterns/wls/Multicast_Pattern.html]
Also check if you have multiple NIC's on your box. In that case you need to specify a particular interface address to use for multicast traffic.
Regards.

SCVMM 2012: Unable to connect to the VMM management server localhost:8100
Hi everyone
I have difficulties connecting with the Admin UI to the SCVMM server running on the same machine. This is the error message I see:
Unable to connect to the VMM management server localhost. The Virtual Machine Manager service on that server did not respond.
Verify that Virtual Machine Manager has been installed on the server and that the Virtual Machine Manager service is running.
Then try to connect again. If the problem persists, restart the Virtual Machine Manager service.
ID: 1602
I checked that the service is running and checked with the Resource Monitor that vmmservice.exe is really listening on port 8100. The Resource Monitor also shows some traffic between itself, the service and the DC. But all traffic dies down after a few seconds,
then nothing happens for a minute, then I get the above error message. The only SCVMM related entry in the eventlog is this (was logged when I manually tried restarting the service):
Failed to stop service. System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
at Microsoft.VirtualManager.Engine.VirtualManagerService.OnStop()
at System.ServiceProcess.ServiceBase.DeferredStop()
But I guess that entry is of no help. Other important things that might be relevant:
This installation worked fine three months ago. Since then only the automatic updates were installed.
DPM (the 2012 CTP for Win8) is installed on the same server.
After it didn't work I installed SQL Server 2008 R2 SP1 (offered by Microsoft Update)
SCVMM is part of a small test installation (~10 VMs or so), no valuable data, so there's no risk when messing around
Control panel shows the version number 3.1.1042.0 for "Microsoft System Center 2012 Virtual Machine Manager".
Is there anything else I could try? How can SCVMM stop to work, all by itself? Leaves a sour taste...
Cheers,
SimonWhen such odd behaviour occur, it is a good tip to start a VMM trace to see where things are actually going wrong. And suck files is interestin for MS support once the obvious things for errors, are eliminated out of the picture.
VMM has dependencies such as SQL, permissions and service accounts. All of these variables does
also have dependencies that should be verified. Verify that the account for the service does is not locked/expired pwd, that the SQL is up and running - and actually is working. There is a lot of logs to check in order to determine the root cause of
this behaviour.

I have a Data Warehouse Server that appears to be functioning but is running System Center Service Manager 2010 (w/ out SP1), Also have a functioning Configuration Management Server with Reporting Services Point installed the is running System Center
2012. Both systems are VM's running Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise w/ SP1 fully patched. Both systems are running SQL Server 2008 R2 as well. When I try to register the Data Warehouse Server via the GUI using the console or in Powershell it errors
out. Particularly on the GUI with the error "Unable to connect to data warehouse management server". I can browse to it, ping it, get the configuration management reports to run and show my AD assets, etc... but it will not register the DWS. I have
tried every suggestion TechNet has to offer and I am hitting a wall. Can someone please, please, please help!?!unplug modem and router and reboot.
check setting for network, verify password.

Why Managed server stats "unavailable" in Enterprise Manager ?
Hi All
i have setup a weblogic domain having AdminServer and a managed server . i have also configured em with this doamin. i am facing a problem in reflecting stats of managed server in em. when i start the managed server from admin console via nodemanager ,it shows managed server has started and same is also reflected in EM, but the stats for that managed server remains "unavailable".
in the other scenario when i start the same managed server via startMnagedserevr script, the stats get reflected without any issue.
why the stats are not getting reflected when i start the managed server via nodemanager ?
Thanks
Harry
Edited by: Harinderjit Singh on Feb 17, 2012 11:02 PMCan you check the Admin Server log and node manager log for any exceptions when you are starting the Managed Server through the node manager.
Sometimes there is some communication exception between the Admin Server and the node manager due to which the em console is unable to show the status of Managed Server.
thanks,
Sandeep -
My iBooks were fine yesterday, today unable to get into book, message comes up, "failure to load book because requested resource missing"
It doesn't tell me what resource is missing, & why could I read this 12 hours ago fine.I've got a solution, it's not so perfect, but i bet someone would come out with a better one based on mine.
Solution:
Step 1: close iBooks app and delete all existing book data
Since I have recently lost all files in my ibooks library due to something wrong with Time Machine backup, I could delete all my book data without anything to worry about.
I deleted all files in:
/Users/[usename]/Library/Containers/com.apple.BKAgentService/Data/Documents/iBoo ks
and the iBook configuration files (well, the whole folder):
/Users/zlw/Library/Containers/com.apple.iBooksX
It doesn't matter if you have deleted the whole iBooksX folder, what you would lose at most is the bookmark data, etc.
deleting all the files inside the iBooks folder of BKAgentService will enable you to redownload the file that you want correctly.
Step 2:
reopen iBooks and you will be able to download the book that you want.
Possible improvement:
there is a Books.plist file in the iBooks folder of BKAgentService, it might be possible to modify the plist and and the folders so that it's not necessary to delete them all. -

Unable to connect to SAPNet message server
Hi,
after starting the SAProuter, i have to check if i am able to connect to SAPNet message server.
Here is the message delivered after configuring technical parameters:
Unable to connect to SAPNet message server
Is the problem coming from the saprouttab file?
Here is my configuration of my saprouttab file :
KP "p:CN=sapserv2, OU=SAProuter, O=SAP, C=DE" <SAProuter's Server IP Adress> <Port Number>
KT "p:CN=sapserv2, OU=SAProuter, O=SAP, C=DE" 194.39.131.34 3299
P <SAProuter's Server IP Adress> 194.39.131.34 3299
D * * *
Thanks for your help.
Pascal.Hi,
yes when i go to
start -> run -> drivers -> etc -> hosts file and i add the command that you suggested to me.
Here is the log file content :
Fri Mar 21 10:55:17 2008 INIT LOGFILE
Fri Mar 21 10:55:17 2008 READ ROUTTAB ./saprouttab o.k.
Edit :
when i run only those command from the saprouttab fil:
P * sapserv2 sapdp99
P sapserv2 <solution manager IP adress>
and after running the SAProuter, it seems to recognize sapserv2 but still have the problem with sapdp99.
Do i have to add sapdp99 with its 3299 port number in the hosts file?

Unable to connect to the Data Access service for this management server
Hate to raise a sleeping horse but was hoping someone might have some insight into why SCOM Report Server install is failing. I am using a domain account for SCOM 2012 R2 services in a distributive environment
with 2 management servers and 2 SQL servers…one for Ops db and one for DW db.
Install was failing on selecting the management server. Research led me to
Kevin Holman's site. I followed his doc and SPN are set per your config and can telnet to MGMT1 on 5723…firewall is off on all servers. I am a domain admin and scom.mgmt account (MSOMSdkSvc) is a local admin on the MGMT servers.

When I point to the MGMT server, I keep getting “Unable to connect to the Data Access service for this management server. Ensure the Data Access service is running and that the service, the management group, and setup are
all the same version”.
OpsMgrSetupWizard.log states…
Info:

When I searched on "Exception.Message: Version string portion was too short or too long" it led me to .Net strings in the reg. i deleted all refs to older versions (3.x) but still no good.
BobWell, I’m back to trying to get SCOM Report Server up and running. This time I decided to try the command line silent install and rely on logs to debug. But it still fails.
This is the script: SETUP /install /InstallPath:D:\Program Files\Microsoft System Center 2012 R2\Operations Manager /components:OMReporting /ManagementServer:<server>.<domain> /SRSInstance:<instance> /DataReaderUser:<domain>\<account>

When I run the script, I get a pop-up: “System CenterOperations Manager Setup has stopped working with the following:

Messaging Bridge & Managed Server
Hi,
I am trying to use the messaging bridge in a cluster
(WLS61SP3 with CR081404_61sp3.jar + CR081511_61sp3.jar),
but I am getting the following error on startup of one
of my managed servers (error attached).
What am I doing wrong here?
Regards,

[error.txt]
Hi,
Came up with the idea of putting the jmsadapter.jar archive (included in the jms-xa-adp.rar
archive) in the system classpath,
of my managed servers.
This was mentioned in a previous posting I found, and now it seems to be working...

Getting error message while strating managed server in weblogic console.
Hi,
Here are my config steps I followed:
1. Created Domain with the Admin server port 8001.
2. Able to log into the Admin console successfully.
3. Created Machine in the console
4. Created Managed server ms01.
5. Created Network Channels under ms01 for http and https with different ports.
6. Started node manager
7. Started ms01 and status shows RUNNING.
8. Deployed one sample war file on this ms01. Deployment was successful.
9. Tried to access the application which is deployed, white page is displayed. But same app I was able to access before, so its clear nothing wrong in war file.
10. I rebooted wls after this and tried restarting managed server, but stuck at this point because of below error.
At this point I could see error message in the wls log.
like:
<Error> <NodeManager> <BEA-300033> <Could not execute command "getVersion" on the node manager. Reason: "Connection refused: connect. Could not connect to NodeManager. Check that it is running at localhost:5,556.".>
<Error> <NodeManager> <BEA-300033> <Could not execute command "getNMLog" on the node manager. Reason: "Connection refused: connect. Could not connect to NodeManager. Check that it is running at sdc78197svod.corp.siebel.com:5,556.".>
I tried rebooting wls, did not work out.
Any help on this appreciated.
ThanksIs the node manager running at sdc78197svod.corp.siebel.com:5,556 ? YOu can do a telnet to this IP, port to confirm.
