Unable to recognise sata

Hi all,
I have stuck in recognition of my sata disk.
I have APPS for x86 to be installed.
I have got both 32 bit & 64 bit Enterprise linux 4 U5.
I can install 64 bit which recognises sata, but i'm unable to with 32.
With 64 bit i cant go for apps installation.
With 32 bit version i have tried which works fine on IDE disk.
Hardware:
AMD ATHLON X2 Dual core 4000+
2 gb ddr2 RAM
250 gb sata seagate
Asus (nVidia nForce)
Can anyone help me regarding this

Hi,
You can try setting the type of the driver for SATA to Legacy not Normal in BIOS.then, try to install it again. If the problem will not disappear, you can try adding "acpi=off" to the boot command line when you select an installing mode.
Regards
Terry

  • ITunes unable to recognize iPod, error message along the lines if "iTunes has detected an iPod but unable to recognise" I have followed all the trouble shooting tips and am still stuck? I am now being told by a friend I need a link sent to me to fix this

    Hi,
I am need of help! I have had this issue for a while now and it's becoming frustrating.
My iTunes installed on my HP Windows 8 Netbook is unable to recognize my iPod, the error message along the lines of "iTunes has detected an iPod but unable to recognise"
I have followed all the trouble shooting tips and am still stuck? I am now being told by a friend I need a link sent to me to fix this??
Someone please help me fix this problem.
    Many thanks.
    Matt.

    Hi
So just close iTunes and re-open iTunes thats it and that worked for you?
When you say reset your settings do you mean to factory settings? As my iPod was swapped at the store for a new one and the problem is still there...
    Thanks.

  • It says 'its unable to recognise my adobe ID'

Am unable to read books on ereader as it says 'its unable to recognise my adobe ID'

Ok, so here's what I did:
1.Created a new email account (gmail, to be precise)
2.Opened iTunes (on PC with Windows 7)
    3.Browsed for free apps
4.Tried to download one (Bubble Explode)
5.After a message popped up I chose to create a new Apple ID, as the location I typed NY, United States
6.The 'None' payment option did appear
7.I  finished signup and downloaded the app on PC
8.Signed in on my iPad 3
9.Deleted the app and signed out on PC
10.Connected to AppStore on the same iPad
11.Downloaded Bubble Explode via iPad and deleted it after it's done
Be patient, for me it took 3 days and I was furious as never before in my life since Windows Vista.
Feel free to ask if sth. is unclear and remember that just because I made it, it doesn't mean I can do it once more.

  • Photos saved in JPEG unable to recognise

I'm using Photoshop CS5 on a mac. The photos saved in jpeg is only recognised by photo editing software. E.g. photos are unable to upload to facebook, nor view on a PC unless using paint. Please advise.

Windows systems require the file extension such as jpeg (.jpg) so windows programs know type of file it is.
On earlier versions of the photoshop cs series (i don't have past cs2 on a mac) under File Handling in the photoshop preferences
you could choose if you want the file extensions added when saving files.
Also under your finder preferences you can set your mac to show file extensions.
If you transfer a file saved on your mac to a pc you can also add the file extension to the end of the name  (example .jpg for jpeg files) or use from within photoshop File>Open As
and pick the format from the list.
Added screenshot (found on internet) from photoshop cs5

  • Unable to select SATA II Transfer mode

After much hassle, I was finally able to successfully install the Nvidia Sata controller driver version 5.10.2600.666 dtd 4/24/2006 which is now driving both of my SATA drives. My WD2500KS, a SATA II drive, is listed as the drive on the Primary Channel (connected to SATA Pin 1 on my MOBO). Within Device Manager the properties of this Primary Channel list the transfer mode as “Serial ATA Generation 1 - 1.5G; the drop down allows selection of Sata II which I have attempted to select. This selection requires a reboot. I have attempted this many times and every time after reboot I am still left with the transfer mode for this drive as being Sata Generation I.
I believe the issue may lie with the driver being used for the WD2500 itself which is listed in Device Manager as being Microsoft 5.1.2535.0 dtd. 7/1/2001. I know that when I installed the Nvidia drivers a caution Window opened advising that the IDE SW Driver would be installed; I have attempted to use “Update Driver” to replace the Microsoft driver by directing the driver search to my Nvidia Update 6.86 Folder. I am consistently advised that the installed driver is the most current and directed to accept or search again. Further when I use the Windows “Search” to find the IDE SW driver, it is not found which is perhaps why I am unable to “Update” the driver for this hard drive.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to get the WD2500 into a SATA II transfer mode? By the way, no jumpers are used on the WD drive itself as WD says this is the default jumper setting for SATA II.

Bas, I admit I've given a thought to updating the BIOS but to be honest I'm a little gun shy. I've read your posts and advice as regards flashing, etc. and all of your caveats plus I've read some of the horror stories that get posted here. On top of everything, I've repeatedly been told not to update if you have a stable system and are not experiencing problems which to date I have not.
It's pretty much a risk vs. reward problem if updating my BIOS is the only alternative; as it presently sits the SATA II is only giving a Burst of 131.6 MB/s which is slightly better than the 120GB PATA drive @ 95.4 MB/s and this is probably only due to the larger 16MB cache on the SATA II as the average read speeds of both are similar, SATA II at 55.5 MB/s and PATA 52.7 MB/s. Do you believe that these results might be significantly improved with a BIOS update?

  • MacBook Pro unable to recognise installed driver for Huawei E1762 USB Modem

Model Name: MacBook Pro / Model Identifier: MacBookPro8,2  / Processor Name: Intel Core i7 running Max OS X 10.6.6
I have installed the driver for the Huawei E1762 USB Mobile Broadband Modem into my 15 inch Mac successfully.  However, the Network in System Preferences don't seem to recognise the presence of the modem.
When I click on the connection icon, a connection window opens, followed by a pop up message saying "the device is disconnected or unavailable" then it went away.  Though the modem has flashing Blue light indicating the presence of a 3G signal, there are no display of the 3G signal on the connection window; hence unable to connect to the network.  Hence confirming that the Mac doesn't seem to recognise the installed driver.
The Huawei Modem was obtained from PennyTel.com.au connecting to the Vodafone 3G Network.  It was working fine while it was on the Optus Network.  But it has since been moved to the Vodafone network as the latest offering from PennyTel.  Since the Vodafone has different configuration settings, I deleted all the old settings and then tried to do the above without any success.
I have just reinstalled the Mac OS X from the CD hoping to repiar the OS but no success
Has anyone get any assistance or suggestion would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks

This could be an old issue. You could try this link to attempt a driver installation to fix it.
This is for future Mac OS X users with old device like this.

  • My computer is unable to recognise Zen Micro as a dev

My PC adruptly fail to recognise my Zen Micro whenever I tried plugging into the USB port, I tried changing to other USB ports on my PC but still the problem persist. Tried restarting the PC and stuff... doesn't help.
I can't even upgrade to a newer firmware as the PC can't even recognise my device. Also tried reinstalling the driver, however it doesn't seems to help.
I believe the problem crop up after my sister tried downloading her zen micro with a new firmware, however this doesn't make sense as the program only update the firmware on her zen micro and should not change the PC configuration, my drivers or other stuff...
This is killing me as I cannot upload new songs to my player, anyone that know how to resolve the problem, please advise...
Thank you for your time and effort.
    Regards
    Ivan

It could be any number of things... There was a post earlier that mentioned "hanging" when connected to the pc... the resolution was to change the USB card... there are some USB connectivity issues... but you said that the problem stemmed from when you changed the firmware, or rather from when your sister changed the firmware for her zen micro to playforsure which usually requires you to change the creative media explorer for the micro to be recognized by the new software... The easiest way to try and resolve this, if your player was connecting fine before, is to do a system restore... that way in theory, all the programs that you have installed that could cause compatibility problems will be rolled back, at least that's what they say it does, but in my experience it's a hit and miss thing. So the thing that you should try is a system restore. Your computer should have set a restore point from when you installed the creative media explorer software, as it usually sets a restore point every time that you install a new program. So, I guess I would recommend that you go into system restore, which I believe is in the programs/accessories/system menu... and then restore your system to a point earlier than when you installed the creative media explorer software... If your player worked before, then in theory, it should work again once you make that change. Then your sister can try and reinstall the new firmware, and hopefully you can find a method by which you can both install it at the same time... I don't know how you would do this... but it's just my best guess at an informed response... better ideas will probably follow.

  • Unable to recognise &amp as "&"

    Hi all,
I am trying to access a picture from my content server via the URL that is generated by the function module ALINK_RFC_DOCUMENT_URLS_GET.
    Example of the URL:
    http://10.10.1.166:1090/ContentServer/ContentServer.dll?get&pVersion=0046&contRep=ZD&docId=4E144D9355B90C80E10080000A0A0119&compId=data&accessMode=r&authId=CN%3DCRP&expiration=20110712195931&secKey=MIH3BgkqhkiG9w0BBwKggekwgeYCAQExCzAJBgUrDgMCGgUAMAsGCSqGS
When I use this URL in a BSP, it converts all the "&" to "&amp" instead and therefore could not be access.
Is there any way to make SAP actually recognise the &amp as "&" ?
    Many thanks in advance!!!

    Hi,

  • Unable to recognise Canon 350D raw images

    Hi,
I've posted this in the Tiger forums and someone suggested I try here too.
I'm using a Canon 350D (UK version of Digital Rebel XT) and OS X won't recognise the .cr2 raw images it produces.
The images have finder thumbnails but if I try to open them I get:
The document "xxx.cr2" could not be opened.
Couldn't open the file. It may be corrupt or a file format that Preview doesn't recognize.
In iPhoto I get an 'Unreadable files' alert telling me it can't read them and then lists the files.
I know that it should work fine and am stuck in terms of what I'm doing wrong.
This problem has existed since I was on 10.4.7 when I bought the computer and camera - I'm now on 10.4.9. I did download the Aperture trial to see if that helped and had the same problems. Reinstalling OS X made no difference.
Note that I've tried the Digital camera raw support download and also editing the raw.plist file (have since done an archive and install so I know I haven't damaged it).
    Any ideas?
    Iain

bought the computer and camera - I'm now on 10.4.9. I
did download the Aperture trial to see if that helped
and had the same problems. Reinstalling OS X made no
    difference.
If you hadn't said that you'd reinstalled everything, then I'd be less puzzled.
Firstly - are these files straight out the camera/off the card? Or are you using some Canon software to copy or look at them first? It's not unheard of for software like DPP to modify the files slightly and make them unreadable by third-party programs.
Next - It's worth checking what versions of frameworks are installed on your system, against someone else who also has a Mac working with Aperture.
This can be done by running "System Profiler" (Applications -> Utilities; or by going to the "About This Mac" menu (first option on top left Apple menu) and then clicking on "More Info...", select the "Software" option on the left hand side, and then select "Frameworks".
Key ones to look at are:
    - ProKit (3.1)
    - QuickTime (7.1.3)
    - QuartzCore (mine's 1.4.11, but I've not updated to 10.4.9 yet.)
also ImageIO (a part of ApplicationServices) is quite critical - but unfortunately SystemProfiler doesn't report that. But you say you've applied 10.4.9 (if you've installed either of the DigitalCameraRAW updates hopefully they were installed before updating to 10.4.9) so it should have been updated to the latest, correct version then.

  • Ultrabook Envy 6 1112TX unable to install sata disk with HDD mounting part 686594-001

    Hi,
I bought my Envy 6 1112TX,  it only has a small 128 msata SSD disk.   So I decided to install a new SSD to increase the storage.
After checking the user guide,  I purchased the disk mounting part  686594-001,  then I found that the cable is no where to connect to the laptop motherboard.  The interface doesn't match, so I cannot find any suitable socket to plug the cable from the disk mounting bracket.
There is a socket labelled as JHDD2 on motherboard, but it just cannot fit the cable,  and where JHDD1 is labelled, there is just no socket at all.
So please advise if the part number is wrong which indicated in the user guide,  or there is another socket which I missed, thanks a lot.
    Regards,
    Z.

    Hi,
I think you need something like this.

The connector looks like an common white ZIF one. My Envy M6 has it. Is there a mSATA boot option in the BIOS? If not and you fit the hdd in it won't boot to the mSATA SSD.

  • IPod Touch unable to recognise Home Wifi settings - Help!

Did I miss something? My iPod Touch is up and running - has iTunes and iPhoto content, but every time I try to connect to the Internet it is not recognising my home WiFi network. How do I set this up- via "Settings"? If so, how? All suggestions gratefully received.

No. There are many different types of wireless network security that could stop the iPod touch from connecting to a Wi-Fi network.
What type of security is being used on your network? WEP, WPA, MAC address filtering?
How many characters are in the network key that you are entering?
Also does the iPod touch display a Wi-Fi address when you goto Settings> General> About?
If not, this could be the problem: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1559

  • Unable to recognise BigDecimal as Null in Custom tag

I have written a tag for displaying monetary values which should display '-' if value is null but it always renders null values as 0.00
    <%@ tag body-content="empty" %>
    <%@ taglib prefix="c" uri="http://java.sun.com/jsp/jstl/core" %>
    <%@ taglib prefix="fmt" uri="http://java.sun.com/jsp/jstl/fmt" %>
    <%@ attribute name="value" required="true" type="java.math.BigDecimal" %>
    <c:choose>
      <c:when test="${empty value}">-</c:when>
      <c:otherwise>
        <fmt:formatNumber value="${value}" groupingUsed="true" minFractionDigits="${2}" maxFractionDigits="${2}"/>
      </c:otherwise>
    </c:choose>
    <c:if test="${empty val[column.prop]}">NULL</c:if>
<mytag:fmtmoney value="${val[column.prop]}"/>First line just put in as a test
should display NULL- but displays NULL0.00

Ok I worked out what was happening but to be seems counter inuitive, the value being passed to the tag comes froma BigDecimal variable but if it is null it has no type. This null gets passed to the tag and the ExpressionLanguage Coercion rules convert it to zero, so in my tag cant differentiate between zero and null.
If I change the type of the attribute to a String it works because nulls get converted to empty String and ${empty var} returns true for empty Strings.
If I changed the type to a user defined class it works because user defined classes keep nulls as nulls.

  • MacPro unable to recognise its Hard Disc

    Hiya
Just got my custom configured Macpro today with one of the faster hard discs (15000 rpm) running via a RAID card. Strangely, when loading the Mac OSX discs to install, I get to the screen where it asks you to " Choose destination disc to install" but there is no image of the machine's own hard disc whatsoever!
Disk Utilities won't load an image of the hard disc and the hardware test "restart while holding down D" reports that there are no hardware issues!
Machine due to be taken away for service tomorrow but hoped there'd be one last step I can do before I give it away. Any thoughts?

    Hi Zolkidah;
Sounds like it is time to return it for some serious maintenance or possible replacement.
