Unable to regenerate Queries

Hi Experts,
I have a query which am not able to regenerate in RSRT.While i give technical name of query in RSRT and click option of "Generate Report".This runs for a long time and i get TIME OUT dump.When i analyze this dump in ST22,its a very generic TIME OUT dump long which doesnt help me to give clue about regeneration.
Can you help me on this issue?.

Hi,
Check consistency in RSRV
Try following two option and see which is working
RSRT> Environment> Generate Query
and RSRT> Environment> Gen. Query directly.

User unable to create queries on a multiprovider that exists in production.

Helo,
I have an issue where one of the users is unable to create queries in BE X on a multiprovider as the multiprovider is not geting listed .He gets the message "No objects found ".
I have Checked and the multiprovider exist in test and production
We replicated the same user's production id into a test id in Test system , and the user is able to see the mutiprovider geting listed to create the query
Not sure what is the problem in production, Any help on this will be very useful.

Hi,
That User may not have the authorizations on that InfoArea and MP, so check it. See SAP help on Roles and Authorizations.

Using RSECADMIN we can define the roles and authorizations in BI 7.
See some good posting sin SDN
First define the Roles as per your business and then assign the Objects i.e. Plant . Division etc..

Hi,
Please check if there are useful message in SQL error log. If there is lock the memory message was logged in the error log, you may enable
lock pages in memory option for the SQL Server service account and see how it works.
Also, apply the service pack and updates of SQL Server.

Unable to access queries in Universe created over infocubes

Hello Gurus
Im having a weird situation over here with my queries created over BI content info cubes.Ive gone through all the threads related to my issue and ive tried more or less all the solutions specified. I hope i would get a different solution than what has been stated in other threads. Im able to see the cube under the $INFOCUBE but i'm unable to see my queries created under the OLAP folder which is usually above the $INFOCUBE. Can you please help me out as im struck since a while and havent been able to move further. and the funny thing is im able to see some BI content queries created over other infocubes...but why mine?????
my system details:
SAP BW 7.30 SP5
SAP BI 4.0 SP2

Have the BEX Queries been saved with the property "Allow external access" ?
Which Client Tool is displaying this problem? Universe Designer? Information Design Tool ? WebIntelligence? etc
also, where are you creating your OLAP connection? CMC or IDT ?
Which authentication type are you using? i.e Prompt is OK for Analysis, but WebI/CR require 'named' or 'sso'

Unable to create queries on portal

Hi,
We have implemented Buyer business package on portal and all the ABAP views are coming up fine. For the POWL views like "My Vendors", My Materials" there is an option to create a new query and then view the results in the table based on the query.
Now this step of creating query is coming up for a particular user. But for certain users the view shows message "No active queries" and there is no option to even create a new query.
Please let me know what authorization do I need to give in ECC so that they can get this option of creating new queries.

Unable to regenerate /dev/rmt/0 drivers with cfgadm -c configure on Solaris 10 update 11 (1/13). How does one do this for SAS HBA StorageTek Autoloader?

How does one regenerate the /dev/rmt/0 when cfgadm -c configure <device> will not rebuild it? Have attempted reboot -- -r, with modifing /kernel/drv/st.conf as well as /kernel/drv/sgen.conf. Running on a SPARC T4-1 Solaris 10 updat3 11, (1/13).

This has been resolved. Getting the /etc/driver_aliases set correctly: # update_drv -d -i st; update_drv -d -i sgen; add_drv -m '* 0600 root sys' -i '"scsiclass,01" "scsiclass,08" wa' worked. Making sure the st and sgen entries are in /etc/name_to_major were needed. For the Simpana/CommVault WA drivers, in opt/simpana/WA/wa.conf with the name="wa" parent="fp" target=16 lun=0 fc-port-wwn="device's World Wide Number> added for each lun 0 to 7. Then the touch /reconfigure; reboot worked. First the c1::rmt/0 tape and c1::scsi/changer/<wwn> med-changer were mapped. After modifying the minor_perm ('* 0600 root sys') and name_to_major entries, the WA CommValt entries , WA drivers showed up in cfgadm -al as c1::wa0 tape and c1::wa1 med-changer, only recognizable from CommVault. Also had to update the SAS-2 HBA StoregTek Autoloader driver with patch 145648-05. Solaris 10 update 11 (1/13) comes with 145648-03. In our particular case, we found cfgadm -al mapped SAS-2 HBA to c1 using the single mini-sas 6gb connector cable, where it mapped to c7 with the four tail connector.

Unable to add queries

Hi Gurus,
We are trying to create a query using the standard Query Wizard in B1. When we try to save the query, the system triggers the error message below and fails to save the query.
Error: To generate this document, first define the numbering series in the administration module [Message 131-3]
We have defined numbering series for all documents in the administration module. This error is triggerred only for new databases created by us. The standard demo database OEC Computers did not trigger any error while creating and saving the same query. Your inputs are highly appreciated.
We are running version B1 2007 B SP:00 PL:00.

Unable to view queries from MS Access 2003

Hi
I installed Oracle SQL Developer 2.1.0.63 on my machine. I successfully connected to one of MS Access 2003 database. Also I changed the permissions of MS Access system tables in database. So I am now able to see all my tables under "Tables" in that database.
But I am not able to view query contents which I have written for MS Access tables (Only names of those queries are displayed under "Queries").
Can anyone plz help me out for this?

Hi,
Queries from MS Access are considered as Views in Oracle.
So I recommend you to do a capture of you MS Access database to view correctly your queries:
==>Right click on Access connexion
==>Select 'Capture Access database' menu
Once the captured has been made, you'll see in the capture the 'Views' with same names as your queries.
Right click on the view and select Edit menu.
You'll see the script which can be used to retrieved the same data than your queries.

Unable to save queries into My favourites

Hi,
One User getting below error while creating query and saving into My favourites.
"BI7.0 Query can only start with GQ, Please choose a
different name." The name of the query the user trying to save is:
"GQPWNNETSALESBYPLANT" and it will not save the query.
Why this happens even the user saving query with valid name. He has the authorizations below

Any role for reporting user must have the following authorization:
1) S_RS_COMP
2) S_RS_COMP1
3) S_RS_ICUBE or S_RS_ODSO or S_RS_ISET where
     if you want to give access to queris on Cube he should have S_RS_ICUBE
        you want to give access to queries on ODS he should have S_RS_ODSO,
        and so forth...
Also if you want to hide infoareas use S_RS_FOLD.

REG:: Unable to save Queries in Portal

Hi,
I encountered a serious issue when I am trying to save BI 7.0 Queries in Portal.
It says,"The Standard Transport system is Active. You cannot save"
I searched some sdn pages and read OSS Note 356018.
The solution they provided was to make the Activate Portal Activity Reports to false
But in my senario, I cannot deactivate the activity Reports.
Is there any other way to solve this issue ?

I think only way is to switch off standard in RSA1.

Unable to delete queries from POV Manager

I have Smart View cells in a word document. I would like to clear the word document of its connectivity, so I connect to Hyperion, choose POV Manager, highlight the query.
However the delete icon is not available for me to delete the pre-existing POV Manager query.
Anyone have this problem?

Now I have the same error in web report.(BI system have SPS15)
I think, SPRO default web template settings for 7.0 ,
if i want to use SAP default template, no need to set the parameter of web template name into SPRO.
I used to do that, and got good result (BI system had around SPS7).
But, current BI system(SPS15) might need another settings.
Do you know more ?

We have oracle apps version 12.1.3 I am trying to get queries for Payslip under Employee Self Service Responsibilities. I am unable to get queries for following VO

The name of VO is given but there is no link as other VO have.
Please tell me where I can get the queries of these VO.

I am also facing the same issue in PRODUCTION environment after migrating from UAT/PREPROD. The scenario when executed works fine. But I am unable to regenerate it in PROD and also unable to create a new scenario from the package.
Also checked the logical schema, physical shcema, context. All are correct.
Any help on this will be appreciated...

ABAP Outbound Proxy Error

Hi Everyone,
In PI ESR, I have update the data enhancement structure with new field and I have mistakenly activated standard service Interface which is refering to ehancement structure.
Now in the ABAP side in SPROXY transaction, Interface is showing red. Since its standard proxy I am unable to regenerate the proxy.
Please let me know your suggession.

Error is related to the connection set up done between ECC and PI.
Test the connection using sldcheck.
