Unable to reinstall reader and flashplayer!

System message "only one instance of this program can be run". That appears when trying to reinstall adobe reader and flashplayer. As the system encountered problems opening PDF- files with reader installed, I suspected Reader was corrupted. As well Flashplayer was uninstalled because a size of it didn't show in the list over programs to uninstall/modify in the Control Panel. Operative system is Windows Home Premium. Antivirus was deactivated before installation try. How to manage, please?!

I download bot Adobe Reader and Flshplayer installers to my hard drive then run the installer file. Get promped for permission to run. The installer seems to start and the installer file gets removed from the hard drive but neither product installs? Looking in Task Manager, the installer stays there (forever). The Acrobat Family uses TCP HTTP/HTTPS for all traffic. The following processes and ports may be active on a Windows client machine:
AdobeARM.exe - automatic updates - port 443
AcroRd32.exe - brand messages - port 443
AcroRd32.exe - links in documents - anything specified in the URL
Acrobat.exe - brand messages - port 443
Acrobat.exe - links in documents - anything specified in the URL
AdobeCollabSync.exe - Tracker review data - port 443
The same ports are used by the program components on OS X.
There are no inbound listening ports for any elements of the Acrobat Family. Automatic updates are not pushed and there are no server processes within the software.

HT1533 SSD PROBLEM: unable to reinstall osx and also failed in backup recovery.

Yesterday my MacBook Pro 2011 suddenly got hanged and freeze. And I have to restart system by hard shutdown. Then I faced this problem every time. I reset nvram but it did not work . Then I thought May be it's corrupt operating system I tried to reinstall new osx maverick from recovery mode but system freeze again during osx downloading process. I tried this 2 more times but the same problem occurred. Afterwards I deleted all ssd drive data in partitions but when I tried to unmount and delete the partitions here I was failed in unmounting partitions. But I deleted all data from all partitions.after this I tried again to reinstall osx but system hung after sometime. I also tried to recover from my time machine backup but the same problem happened and my system got freeze and I have to hard shutdown. I also did hardware diagnostic test which showed everything ok. Now I am realizing that my SSD got corrupt. Could you please help me what I should consider that can fix my problem. I also tried fsck and verify and repair the disk.

are you still able to boot into Recovery mode? If so, select Utilities from the menu bar and run Terminal from there. In the Terminal window, give it the following commands, one per line, separating each command by pressing the Return key at the end of each line:
diskutil list
diskutil cs list
mount
Please include in your reply the full output from these commands.

I have over 30GB space in my ipad and as you say I tried on/off by same method as well. Can there is some other reason? like operating system of pc as I have Windows XP home edition on my vaio. But download of app is complete.

Firefox keeps telling me I need to update by Adobe Reader plugin but I've done it 3 times, even uninstalled and reinstalled Reader and still tells me need update plugin. Why?

Do you have access to another Mac with a disk drive? If so you can do it in one of two ways:
1 - on the Mac with the optical drive launch Disk Utility and make a disk image of the iLife 11 disk. Connect the two Macs together and transfer the disk image to your MacBook Air. Mount the disk image and install from it. I have my iLife disks saved that way for quick and easy reinstall when necessary.
2 - connect the two Mac together so you can access the MBA from the Mac with the disk drive. Insert the iLife disk, and install from the second Mac to the MBA.

Please utilize any available uninstallers that are located in the Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers folder. Once all of the available uninstallers have been run you will then want to rerun the CC Cleaner Tool. All bookmarks went missing after running WinCleaner OneClick version 11.4.2, but that has never happened before. Cannot create new bookmarks and if I try to restore the bookmarks from a backup , the pop-up window says "Unable to Process the Backup File". Found a corrupt places file, deleted all the rest and renamed the corrupt file to be the only places file but I still had no bookmarks or bookmark functionality. I resigned myself to a complete uninstall of Firefox, including all personalization, etc. then reinstalled Firefox and I am now rebuilding my bookmarks list. It means what it says. The "computer person" formatted it wrongly/ unsuitably. it needs to be formatted again.

How about if you right click on the PDF and select Save Link As..., and then open it locally from within Reader? Does it work ok then? That might be a workaround until the issue within the browser is resolved.
