Unable to reject process unit

Hi,
We use HFM 9.3.1.
In our process unit hierarchy,
A
|-- B
|-- C
C is at Review Level 2, B is at Review Level 2 and A is at Review Level 1.
Users need to reload data for C.
Hence, when I try to reject entity C or B, I get following error message:
"Cannot reject a process unit to a level lower than any of its immediate parents."
How do we resolve this problem?
Thanks.

All, please ignore this message. I manage to solve the problem by demoting one of the top level parents.
Thanks.

  • Admin unable to reject entities in process control/process management

Hi this is in HFM v 11.1.2.1. We have a small hierarchy which has one security class assigned to all seven entities. The end user sees that all entities except the top parent are "green" when she looks at it in the process control screen. The top parent, however, is orange. She can't consolidate it although she has rights. She can calculate and consolidate all of the entities and sub-parents below. Even though the top parent is orange, she can promote it, as well as all of it's children. Just to make this even more interesting, the administrator is UNABLE to reject the base entities in this structure back to First Pass - instead they remain at Review Level 1. Has anybody heard of bugs in the Process Control for this version (11.1.2.1)? Thanks for your help.

For your rejection concerns, there are instances wherein the users tried to expressly promote an entity, at times including its base level members to a higher review level. Doing so makes it hard to reject. As a suggestion, it is always a best practice to promote entities one step at a time. In the aspect of rejecting, verify if you have the EPM Utilities Menu enabled, go to Auto Promote and reject.

  • Error: 1056603 Unable to spawn process for application [AppName]

    Hi,
After a fresh installation of Essbase Server (11.1.1.4), I'm experiencing the following error when attempting to perform basically any action on any Application (Start, Stop, Delete) through EAS:
*Error: 1056603 Unable to spawn process for application [Demo]. Please ensure that adequate memory is available.*
System memory seems abundant at around 5% usage with all relevant services started, but I even doubled it (since it's a VM) to 16Gb just to make sure, the issue persists.
Having a look at the Essbase server log, I didn't find any additional info that could be helpful:

    Hi Nelson,
Did you try increasing the Heap size for EAS ? Try the following and check if you still get the error -
increase the Java heap settings in the EAS script on a Unix platform that was configured using the automatic deployment method, do the following:
    1. Navigate to the $HYPERION_HOME/deployments/{appserver}/bin directory.
    2. Edit the setCustomParamseas.sh(.bat) script.
    3. Modify or add the -Xms and -Xmx settings to the JAVA_OPTIONS variable. For example:
    +JAVA_OPTIONS="-Xms256m -Xmx1024m -DComponentName=eas -DcomponentId=1e3bf92b2d9bb0493bcd3380127b0ca49ee7f50 -Dsun.net.inetaddr.ttl=0 -DHYPERION_HOME=/usr/local/oracle/hyperion -Dhyperion.home=/usr/local/oracle/hyperion -DEAS_HOME=/usr/local/oracle/hyperion/products/Essbase/eas -DESS_ES_HOME=/usr/local/oracle/hyperion/products/Essbase/eas/server -DEAS_LOG_LEVEL=5000 -DEAS_LOG_LOCATION=/usr/local/oracle/hyperion/logs/eas/easserver.log -DCLIENT_SERVER_DIFF_MC=true -Dweblogic.j2ee.application.tmpDir=/usr/local/oracle/hyperion/deployments/temp -Djava.io.tmpdir=/usr/local/oracle/hyperion/tmp ${JAVA_OPTIONS} "+
+*Note: For Tomcat deployments, the setting to modify is JAVA_OPTS:*+
    +*JAVA_OPTS="-Xms256m -Xmx1024m*+
    4. Stop and restart EAS for the setting to take effect.
    Hope it helps....

  • HT2731 your request is temporarily unable to be processed. Please try again later

Let's see if anyone has any ideas here. When I went to create an account on iTunes, I can get all the way to the credit card screen and then when we click "done" and pop up window comes up and says "your request is temporarily unable to be processed. Please try again later". This message comes up last 2 days.
    Thanks for any help!

The same thing has been happening to me on my iPad and my MacBook Pro - I try to purchase and get an error on my MacBook (Error 5002) while on the iPad, I get the recurring request to "confirm" My purchase that never completes. This is making me crazy!

  • "Your request is temporarily unable to be processed.  Please try again later" iTunes Store

I have a user with a new iPad2, who has set up an iTunes account.  It takes her username and password, which it recognizes (it fails if she fat-fingers it).  Then it says that it is a new account, and offers her the terms and conditions which she agrees to, and then it takes her to the screen asking for her personal info and credit card info, which she fills in.  Then it pops up a message from the iTunes Store that says "Your request is temporarily unable to be processed.  Please try again later."
She has tried this multiple times over the past week, same error each time.  This morning, just to vary things a bit, we tried logging in to her account in iTunes on her iMac.  (If nothing else, a real keyboard and mouse is less painful...)  Exactly the same behavior -- it clearly knows who she is, bringing up address information, etc. when she puts in the right username and password.  But it will not complete the signup with the iTunes store, so she cannot get applications (even free ones) downloaded on to the iPad.
If I sign in with my appleID and password (set up years ago, and with iTunes gift card credit on it) it simply takes it and works -- but not on her credentials.

Found this discussion:  https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3603097?start=0&tstart=0 which was really helpful.  The problem is that we were trying to change this person's credit card associated with the AppleID from her personal card to her company credit card.  Going to http://store.apple.com/us/account/home and trying to Edit the credit card information at least got us to a more useful error message -- it complained about the credit card billing address.
So we went to Plan B, and created a new appleID for her, following these instructions http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2534 to get her an appleID without a credit card.  It then happily completed the registration process, and now she can download free apps.
When she needs to buy an app, I'll probably be back.  (Sheesh, apple, this should NOT be this hard to give you money!!!)

  • "Your request is temporarily unable to be processed" message on iTunes

Let's see if anyone has any ideas here. We got my mom an iPhone a few days ago. When we went to create her an account on iTunes, we can get all the way to the credit card screen and then when we click "done" and pop up window comes up and says "your request is temporarily unable to be processed. Please try again later". This same message comes up when we tried it on 3 different macs and also her iPhone. It has happened for three days.
    Thanks for any help!

I have the exact problem, please APPLE!!!!! Help us, what is wrong with our accounts???

  • Error in the report processing unit.

    Hi,
we have installed BO Edge 3.1 on SuSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 SP2 (x86_64) under VMware. All works fine, but the scheduling is not stable. We schedule a Crystal Report 10 times, but only 1 or 2 times the run is successfully. The option "View" doesn't make any problems.
The error messages are "Error in the report processing unit." or "Error in File UNKNOWN.RPT: Unknown Database Connector Error Details: crystalenterprise12.sessionmgr.1: The property SI_GUID of info object with id number 20822 is not unique. Table = 'CMS_InfoObjects6'. Column = 'SI_GUID'."
    Have anyone the same experiences?

    Thomas,
Check the following link also.Because there could be chance of getting this error because of VM ware, linux versions.

  • App Store - Your request is temporarily unable to be processed

    Hey,
when trying to install two apps I got to the point where APP store says "Your request is temporarily unable to be processed." The previous message before that is to accept the new terms and conditions. I say yes and then this is what happens. Tried logging out and in - not working.

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
The title of the Console window should be All Messages. If it isn't, select
SYSTEM LOG QUERIES ▹ All Messages
from the log list on the left. If you don't see that list, select
              View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar at the top of the screen. Click the Clear Display icon in the toolbar. Then take one of the actions that you're having trouble with. Select any messages that appear in the Console window. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message by pressing command-V.
The log contains a vast amount of information, almost all of which is irrelevant to solving any particular problem. When posting a log extract, be selective. A few dozen lines are almost always more than enough.
Please don't indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.

  • Itunes "Your request is temporarily unable to be processed."

I'm trying to set up my apple ID. I made it setting up Imessage but now I'm trying to set up my Itunes account. I answer all the questions and put in the required information and when i hit submit it says "Your request is temporarily unable to be processed. Try again later." I keep quitting the program and trying again and again, but nothing's working! Please help!

I have had the same problem for over a month with my son's new apple id.  I finally stumbled onto something that worked and allowed us to use his ID in the iTunes store.  Here's what I did:
    1)  In your browser, go to https://appleid.apple.com/account/manage
    2)  Select the Password and Security tab
    3)  Under the Security Questions, there was a red exclamation point and the red text " For your security, please provide a longer answer."
    4)  I changed the security question, typed in a new answer, and hit Save.  The red exclamation and red text went away.
    5)  After that, I was able to proceed normally and use the account in iTunes.  FINALLY!!
I guess Apple didn't like the answer to the security question, and that was what kept tripping it up.  Maybe something similar is going on with your account.  Hope this solution works for someone else.
