Unable to Release my Webdynpro DC in NWDS DC Perspective

Hi All,
I Configured the NWDI Successfully, i created one webdynpro DC application and after that deployment was done successfull, after that i went to DC perspective,i did checkin the activity, it was activated successfully then i went to activation view tab, there i am not able to see my webdynpro DC after that i went to transport view tab, there i saw one is realeased and another one is waiting and here i am right click on waiting but i am not release that one....it was in disable mode....
could you please solve my problem.....
really i appreciate your help.
Thanks and Regards,
Abhi.

Hi,
There could be some problem during building and acticating the activity.
Please check the log for that activity.
Try clicking refresh button in the transport perspective to check whether the waiting activity is still shown.

  • Deploying a WebDynpro application from NWDS 7.0 on NWCE 7.1

    Hi,
I am trying to deploy a simple WebDynpro application in NWDS 7.0. On the server there is NWCE 7.1 installed. When I try that, I always get this error:
Deploymenty Exception: Cannot determine the sdm host (is empty). Please configure your engine/sdm correctly.
I checked the settings in Window->Preferences->SAP J2EE Engine. Everything is set up and seems to work. When I check it either in SAP Management console or in NWDS at J2EE Engine View everything is lighting green.
I've already found about 5 or more threads, where people seem to have the same problem, but in none of them was any solution. And further more everybody was writing about SDM configuration, but in NWCE 7.1 there is no longer any SDM (as it is written in SAP Installation Manual for NWCE 7.1).
    Did anyone solve this issue?
    Thanks

    Filip,
Never worked with NW CE. But my guess is that it is a issue with your NWDS which is at a lower version than the server.
As you know NW04's has a SDM.
    Thanks & Regards,

  • Unable to release to accounting on VF02 - Inconsistency on posting tables

    Hi Everyone,
We are unable to release a billing document on VF02. IF we check on SM13, it generates an error on FM RV_INVOICE_POST.
Error details is "V2 030: Inconsistency in the posting tables for document XXXXXXXX"
We have checked the ABAP editor but we are unable to interpret the code:
On subroutine PERFORM VBPA_BEARBEITEN from RV_INVOICE_POST, program passes value of xvbfa-vbeln to structure beleg, because of that beleg-id changes from '$' to 0 because xvbfa-vbeln already has a value.
LOOP AT xvbfa WHERE updkz EQ updkz_new.
        beleg = xvbfa-vbeln.
        PERFORM vbrk_belegnummer_ermitteln.
        xvbfa-vbeln = xvbrk-vbeln.
        MODIFY xvbfa.
      ENDLOOP.
But on subroutine vbrk_belegnummer_ermitteln there is a condition on beleg-id which is cause of the error:
      IF beleg-id NE '$'.
        MESSAGE a030 WITH beleg.
      ENDIF.
    Please advise. Thanks.

sorry i have to correct my post, the code should be:
LOOP AT xvbpa WHERE updkz = updkz_new.
        beleg = xvbpa-vbeln.
        PERFORM vbrk_belegnummer_ermitteln.
        xvbpa-vbeln = xvbrk-vbeln.
        MODIFY xvbpa.
      ENDLOOP.
    NOT vbfa.
I will look on OSS note that you said, see if it works.

  • Unable to release space from table

    Hi all,
We are unable to release space from a table called TST03 even after deletion of records.
    Followings are the information.
    Database     : 9.2
    Table Name      : TST03
    Tablespace     : LOCALY MANAGED.
Previously there were lots of rows.
At Present only 9 No of Rows.
    Space allocated     : 41 GB
    PCT_INCREASE     : Null
One of the column is of LONG RAW type.
Since the table is in LMTS, we were expecting that the space allocated will be released automaticaly after deletion of records.
Now, what are the option left with us to release 41GB of space ?
    A. Is there any effect of "Drop storage" option of 'Truncate table' command ?
    B. If yes , can i copy all the 9 rows to a new table, then use "Truncate table TST03 drop storage", check if space is released and then copy back all the 9 rows to this table.
    C. Do you have any other easy solution apart from export/import ?
    D. Checked all the relevant Note(646681,48400,10551), could not find an easy solution. I  want to avoid offline export/import option.
    Thanks .

Sorry, but that is not what LMTS is for. Wrong assumption.
MaxDB e.g. returns space immediately - Oracle does not.
    > Now, what are the option left with us to release 41GB
    > of space ?
    > A. Is there any effect of "Drop storage" option of
    > 'Truncate table' command ?
Yes, the effect is, that after the truncate the table is empty and  only one extent is allocated - the rest is returned to freespace. That's the DEFAULT behaviour of TRUNCATE TABLE.
    > B. If yes , can i copy all the 9 rows to a new table,
    > then use "Truncate table TST03 drop storage", check
    > if space is released and then copy back all the 9

Nope - you would have to copy the LONG RAW columns as well and this cannot be done easily from sqlplus.
    > C. Do you have any other easy solution apart from
    > export/import ?
Nope again - you'd have to use this offline reorganisation as long as you're not on Oracle 10g and the long raw fields got converted into LOBs. With 10g you might also use the SHRINK table command. But with Oracle 9i - sorry: exp and imp (will be pretty fast for 9 rows...)
    > D. Checked all the relevant Note(646681,48400,10551),
    > could not find an easy solution. I  want to avoid
    > offline export/import option.
Sorry - no way to avoid it and still get the free space back.
Anyhow you might want to take actions to prevent this situtation from reoccuring.

  • Testing of Java-Based Webdynpro application in NWDS

    hi
    Hi
I would like to test Java-Based webdynpro application in
    NWDS
I am able to start and stop recording.
But when press Start Replay Button.
    i am getting this error in the lower text area where messages area;
<b>ERROR: Invalid Xml document received from the Xml Client. WindowId attribute is missing</b>
    pls replay ASAP
    Thanks
    Ravi Shankar

    Hi
Ok now i get it. Well i guess i need to come out of mental block that WebDynpro for ABAP is not there :)..
Well in that case it should work if you just record your test case.. What version of NDS are you using. It has worked for me.
Create some inputfield and then deploy and test your application .. See if it runs.
Then you right click on the application and say Record. It should run you through the screen. Once you are through stop the recording.
The XML file can be viewed in the NWDS with the test data that you entered.
    regards
    Ravi

You can safely ignore the messages. It is a result of changes in the implementation of madvise in the 2.6.13 kernel (which, needless to say, isn't supported with JRockit). We'll change our usage in a future release so that these messages don't show up.

  • Unable to release package administration lock for this system

    Hi,
I created a Solaris package, but at the end of installation (on a Solaris 10 sparc) I get :
    #pkgadd -d MyApp_version__SunOS_sparc.pkg
    Installation of <MyAppName> was successful.
pkgadd: ERROR: ERROR: Unable to release package administration lock for
    this system; try again later
pkgadd: ERROR: ERROR: Unable to release package administration lock for
    this system; try again later
    The solution is to delete:
    #rm –rf /tmp/.ai.pkg.zone.lock*
Then some lib issues occur .. fixed by:
    #cd /usr/lib
    #ln -sf ../../lib/libdlpi.so.1 libdlpi.so.1
Then I can install and uninstall without any problems as many time as I need.
Why does this issues occur when the package is first install on a system ?
    Thanks,
    Bianca

    Hi Alan,
In the postinstall script I only handle the configuration files that my application has (all the files are in the /app/MyApp directory, no system files involved). I use the read user input and replace the values in the config file, and create another 2 files (also in /app/MyApp directory). This is all I do.
I use the packaging scripts: depend, copyright, pgkinfo, preinstall, request, postinstall, preremove, postremove
    Thanks,
    Bianca

  • Help in importing WebDynpro application to NWDS.

    Hi,
I need to customise an iview. These are the information i have -
    1.  platform of this ivew is WDJ.
    2. got codelink of the iview -com.sap.portal.appintegrator.sap.webdynpro
    3. got the corresponding par file.
    4. In the business package document, it says a folder name as the data source of this iview. i traced the folder of it.
now how do i move forward?
    1. When i imported the par file, it opened in the package explorer as a portal application project, but could not find any source code. How do i open it in WebDynpro perspective?
    2. how do i import all these (data source + par file) into NWDS so that i can view the code in the WebDynpro perspective...
I am already tired of searching the entire SDN.  Can some one help out to explain the steps in simple terms for me to move forward. I am in the process of learning this (portal customisation through WebDynpro Java).. kindly help :).
I am just trying out in the test system.hence decided not to use JDI.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Anto.

    Hi Antony,
As you mentioned WebDynpro application then there should be .EAR file not .PAR
and the procedure i gave you earlier is not applicable for .PAR (Portal Archieve)
for this please follow the following method.
if you want to test the application directly, login in to the portal and navigate to system administrator -> support -> portal runtime -> administration console and import the .par file and then create a new iview in portal content and select par file name and you can see the application.
if you want to see the code, import the .par file in EP Perspective and if it is a JSP Dynpro application, you can find the code in <b>\dist\PORTAL-INF\pagelet</b> folder.
Also <b>you can not see the PAR in WebDynpro perspective</b> you can only open it in EP Perspective.
hope now i got the right procedure for you. As per your Subject line, i quickly posted you the procedure to import webdynpro application to NWDS but in your case you are dealing with portal project.

  • Cannot see 'WAITING/RELEASED' in Transport View in NWDS

    Hello,
We just installed NWDI (7.0 SP09) and followed the steps to configure it.
I created a New DC, created a WebDynpro application within it and checked-in the activity.
The Activation Request shows a green check mark, and a running-man symbol.
Under the Transport View, I do not see the yellow and green flags for the Waiting and Released tasks.
In CMS, we have configured a single machine for our development server (we have not included any consolidation or test or production machine in the landscape). We have disabled automatic deployment for the development machine.
Can someone please point-out where we are making a mistake ?
    Thanks
    Jon.

The running man symbol appears because you disabled automatic deployment. The green check mark indicates that activation was successful. The activity should nevertheless appear in the Transport view as a waiting activity, since activation was successful. In order to deploy the DC's touched in the activity you'll have to go to the TCS Deployer now: [http://<nwdiserver>:<port>/TCS/Deployer].
