Unable to remain connected to a computer!

I cannot stay connected to the internet from my desktop. Spoken with 3-4 Verizon people who tell me each a different thing, and nothing works. spoke with a level 2 yesterday for 11/2 hours, who said it was corrected, and before I could log on it was disconnected. I am able to reconnect but this is only temporary. Have taken my tower to 2 different compute people who are unable to find any problem with the computer. I have No difficulty in using my cell and connecting to Wi-Fi. Please help I am at my wits end.

If your computers WiFi connection to the Jetpack is breaking then perhaps you need to purchase a different wireless adapter. You can pick up a USB wireless adapter for pretty cheap these days and test the theory out. Return it if it doesn't improve your results.
Another suggestion would be to modify the wireless signal broadcasting from your Jetpack. For example, you could modify the wireless channel, or wireless mode to find one that more available.
Jetpacks also have a feature called Automatic Shutdown which kicks in to power the device down after a certain amount of inactivity is detected. You can locate the Automatic Shutdown feature from the Jetpacks admin webpage and disable or raise the limit.
In more rare situations the DHCP/Dynamic IP address of your computer may be getting accidentally taken by another device due to inactivity. You could experiment with Static IP Addresses to rule out that kind of a problem.
Let us know if you need more suggestions. It would be nice if you could enable logging on your device, capture a disconnect and post the log for us to review. That might help us isolate what is going on a little better.

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Unable to access song list in ipod when connected to the computer.

My daughter loaned her ipod to a friend who tried to download some music to her ipod. A box opened asking if she wanted to delete all her songs from her ipod and she was given yes, no, and cancel. She pushed cancel and got out.
My daughters ipod has not worked correctly since.
When connected to the computer and logged into iTunes she can see all the songs in her ipod but they are light in color and she can not play or pick songs from the list. She can't delete anything from her list in the ipod. She can play her music from the computer list just fine.
What has happened and can we somehow get her ipod back to working correctly?

So, you are saying that you are unable to pick and choose songs from the Music list for the iPod while it is plugged into iTunes?
If the songs are grayed out, it is probably because the iPod is set up to automatically sync. In order to play music from the iPod through iTunes, you have to enable the "manually manage music and videos" option from under the iPod's Summary tab.
Does that do the trick for you?

Hi..
Delete the app then reinstall.
Hold the app icon down until all the apps jiggle then tap the x then tap Delete. Press the Home button once or twice to stop the jiggling.
Then go to the iTunes store and re download the app.
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
That should download the most recent version including whatever update was available.
You won't be charged again.

Unable to keep my external hard drive connected to my computer for backup with Time Machine.

I am using an external LaCie hard drive to backup my computer. In the last month or so I have noticed that when my computer is in the sleep mode for sometime the hard drive disconnects from my computer. I than get an error message that tells me that I have failed to disconnect the hard drive device before turning it off. Do I have a problem and if so is there a fix for the problem.

I have a similar question. I have backed up my external hard drive through my computer, onto my TC. When I go into TM, it doesn't show the external hard drive unless it is connected to the computer. Can I access the info from the external hard drive that is on the TC if I don't have the hard drive plugged in? If so, how can I do that?

everytime i try and download new apps when connected via wifi, it asks me to connect ipad to computer, can't seem to download new apps straight to ipad?

Not sure how this setting works, but do you have restrictions enabled on your iPad? I don't make use of the setting so I'm not sure if you would see that message in the App Store when you try to download.
Go to your home screen, tap settings, go to general and check restrictions and see if you do have it enabled. If you use a passcode with your IPad you may have restrictions set up. But like I said, I really don't know how restrictions work with reference to what messages you would get on your iPad.

We have 10 ipads connected to 1 computer and 1 account. How can I change/erase an account so that the seperate offices can use itunes and synchonise itselve?

Our department (marketing) wanted to control the input of the iPads. We found out it was useless because our salesteam wanted to personalize the ipad (think about projectspecific items etc.) It is impossible for 1 person to control 10 iPads and deliver input for each different iPad. So we decided that each office can have its own account. But these ipads are already connected to 1 computer (i know you can connect them to a max. of 5 computers, but that is not enough in this case..) They can make there own account with their personal creditcard or that of the office. How can i disconnect the iPads en still remain the files on the iPads?

Whatt ype of "files" are you concerned about? Are they purchases from the AppStore or music, video etc, or something else? If you are concerned about Apps, one method of centrally distributing apps is to purchase apps with a corporate credit card, and then "gift" them to the various employees. The "gifted" app is sent to the email address you specify and can actually be forwarded, prior to install to another user for their use...

IPod Error Message when connected to the computer

When I have my iPod connected to my computer and listening to it's music through the computer, or even just updating songs onto my iPod, I always get an error message.
It doesn't really do anything, except it's just there and it's bugging me...On the bottom right of my computer where the time is- thats where the message pops up and it keeps on coming back every 10 minutes or so.
The message says-
iTunes.exe - Corrupt File
The file or directory /iPod_Control/iTunes/Temp File 1 is corrupt and unreadable. Please run the Chkdsk utility.
How would I go about fixing this, and what the hellll does it mean?????

I've sort of figured out what the error message means- as in what it does to my iPod...
I am unable to add music to my iPod anymore. Anytime I connect my iPod to my computer and try to "safely remove it" with the eject thing, it says it is unable to because it is being files from my iPod Mini are being used by other files(I completely shut down all other music files and still received this message)...
So since I am unable to "safely remove the hardware", I have to do it without clicking the little eject iPod thing. When I do that, my iPod doesn't save any of the music I just put on it, and it comes out exactly the way it was before...
Any idea how to fix this, and how I got it???
And for some reason...My iPod keeps on telling me theres not enough room on it for any more songs when their is over 2.3 GBs left...

Trying to test in-app purchasing, so logged out of App Store, and now I cant log back in.
I have connectivity, because I can browse web. My App Store account is still correct, because I can successfully log in using my iPad.

Will not turn on or screen remains dark
- Connect iPod to power for at least ten minutes to ensure that the battery has enough charge to allow iPod to turn on.
- If iPod does not turn on after ten minutes, try resetting the device while it is still connected to power. Reset the iPod by holding down the Sleep/Wake button and the Volume Down button for at least eight seconds or until you see the Apple logo appear.
- If the Apple logo appears on the display, connect iPod to a computer and verify that it appears in iTunes and can play music. If iPod appears in iTunes and can play music, no further troubleshooting is needed.
- If the screen remains dark and will not turn on, then your iPod may need service.

Connect to server/computer issues

When I am using my Macbook Pro at work, it will attempt to connect to my iMac at home (which is unavailable). It only tries to connect to this computer when I am in Desktop and Screen Saver preferences.
When I am at home (and the iMac is available) it will load a message asking me to connect to the iMac.
I am unable to workout why or what it is looking for.
Does anyone know how I can tell my Macbook to forget about looking for the computer in all environments?
BTW: It has done this constantly under 'Snow Leopard' and 'Lion'

5.)the "Applications & Gaming" and tab is a relevant part of why you cannot get anyone to connect your teamspeak from the world. once you have configured the portwarding as required in the below link, you should be able to get this to start working.

6.) the DDNS tab provides the means for you to have a "quasi-static" address for people to connect to your server.

After create a needed code, I' v tried establish Connection Pool. When I' v tested connection, next errors was occurred:

FCP Automatically Connects to Old Computer

I am using FCP 6 on my mac pro but sometimes it automatically connects to my imac and I am unable to disconnect. I tried unplugging my network connection and opening up fcp but it won't open and tries searching to connect to the imac. I'm confused on why this happens only sometimes. I know for sure that every file in a project I am trying to opening is on my local computer and is not needing to use the imac. Even without having a project opened fcp tries to connect to my imac. I am not using a server and saving all videos to my local computer. Hopefully this is enough information. Any help on this would be fantastic and very helpful.

What do you mean by "connect"? When starting up, FCP does look for any scratch disc you've assigned in preferences ... but it doesn't "connect" to another computer. However, it WILL look over a network for any computer running the same copy of FCP (which isn't allowed in the SLA).

Check for any anti-virus or anti-spyware software you might have. Temporarily disable that to continue. Normally this is what will cause a timeout. I assume you have a good Internet connection?
