Unable to remove 12 days of christmas downloads

I have obtained the 12 days of Christmas App and down loaded a couple of items on my phone.  I have sync'd my phone with my PC tonight and although I have done the usual methods for choosing what to put on my phone, I now can't remove them. Ahhhh!!!  Does anyone have any ideas?

iPod Touch  - same problem.
I'm trying to get rid of the TV programmes (temporarily). It's maddening. I uncheck them and resynch. Still there. I go onto the iPod, and explicitly deslect them and resynch. Still there. Add them, resynch, then remove them and resynch. Still there.
Uncheck all tv programmes and resynch. THEY'RE STILL THERE!
What on earth is the problem?  Is it because they were downlaoded direct to the iPod or something?
Do I have to delete from the iPod - surely they are managed trough iTunes?

  • 12 days of christmas downloads arnt working on my ipod (music videos)

I have been using the 12 days of christmas app and the videos that its downloaded from the past few days are working on my laptop but on the ipod when it opens it says the url i requested isnt found! what can i do so they will play?

It seems that if your Settings->General->International->Region Format is not set specifically as Canada you will have this issue. (even if your times zone and iTunes account settings are correct...)
Changing that setting from US to Canada was the fix for me.

  • HT201359 What does it mean when a purchase is billed to "store credit"? Is it one of those iTunes gift vouchers? Only reason I ask is because I downloaded Ken Follit's FREE book from the 12 days of Christmas app and seem to have been charged 10.99 for it!

Thank you so much for the link. Am persevering thru it, will get there eventually, as I had already tried to press the Report a Problem link on the invoice, but it won' t connect to iTunes store on my iPad, it keeps saying can't connect. Infuriating. But thank you, you found me a link I would have taken ages to find.

  • HT201210 Cannot download 12 days of christmas app

I cannot download this years 12 days of Christmas because my gen 1 iPad does not have the latest iOS 7. Why are Apple offering this app which states it is for iPad not doing more to ensure all iPad versions are catered for. It looks like Apple has forgotten about the customers who took the plunge and spent lots of money on the original iPad and made it a worldwide success. Come on Apple treat all iPad users to this app.

Looking at it logically, it's my belief that likely many of the free apps will require iOS 7, thus the 12 Days of Gifts app also requires iOS 7. Sadly, iOS 5.1.1 apps are slowly becoming scarce.

  • 12 Days of Christmas - Missed Downloads

Hello! I treated myself to an iPhone this Christmas and found the very nice 12 Days of Christmas app (cheers Apple!) but I've missed a few days that I wouldn't mind getting! I read somewhere that they are only available for 24 hours but hope this isn't set in stone?
Can anyone help me out on how to get them?
    Cheers!

24 hours does mean 24 hours.
Nobody here could help you get them. Only Apple could.
I tried to download one freebie on my iPhone and it told me to use iTunes on my Mac to download it instead. However, for some reason it wouldn't appear for free on my Mac. I contacted iTunes Support and they told me they couldn't re-issue the free download but very kindly offered to refund me if I chose to buy the same item.
I got the impression this was a one off courtesy offer NOT their usual policy for temporary giveaways.

  • 12 days of Christmas app not downloading content

The 12 days of Christmas app not downloading content just hangs. Today's book will not download at all. Have reinstalled both app and iBook with no luck. Can still download from App Store so Internet is ok. Any suggestions?

  • I can't download the app '12 days of christmas'. The app details say that you don't need to use a device and that you can "download the gifts from your computer". How do I do this?

I don't have the latest ipod touch and therefore can't download the app '12 days of christmas'. The app details say that you don't need to use a device and that you can "download the gifts from your computer". How do I do this, as I know its not possible to diretly use an app on a computer?
    Thanks
    Chris

Go to the Purchases Tab in the App Store and Accept the apps.
Then you'll be able to update them.

  • HT1541 Dear iTunes Why wasn't I able to download the twelve days of Christmas gifts? as I downloaded the 12 days of Christmas app or is it now just used as a ploy to sell your iPhone and iPod etc most disappointed customer

    Dear iTunes
Why wasn't I able to download the twelve days of Christmas gifts? as I downloaded the 12 days of Christmas app or is it now just used as a ploy to sell your iPhone and iPod etc
    most disappointed customer

We are fellow users here on these user-to-user forums, you're not talking to iTunes Support nor Apple.
Why weren't you able to download each day's gift ? Whilst the 12 Days app required iOS 7 to be able to install it on a device, each day's gift was available to download direct in the iTunes or App Store apps, or via iTunes on your computer.

  • HT4623 Download 12 days of christmas

Is anyone having problems downloading 12 days of christmas. Itunes is telling me that my ipod needs a newer version, my ipod tells me it is up to date with version 6. I now dont know how to get it downloaded, any help would be appreciated.

That app requires iOS 7 but the 4G is not compatible with iOS 7
.As Apple said in June, iOS 7 is not compatible with the 4G iPod.
All the iOS devices compatible (iPhone 4 and later, iPad 2 and later, and 5G iPod touch) with iOS 7 have at least 512 MB of memory (RAM). The 4G iPod only has 256 MB

  • Files that I bought via The 12 Days of Christmas keep being downloaded when I sync even when I've deleted them from iTunes

I downloaded some videos and music and a book via The 12 Days of Christmas.
I sync my iPhone with my Mac and have decided I don't want to keep them.  So I delete them out of iTunes.  Next time I sync my iPhone however, it brings them back into iTunes again.
How can I permanently deleted this content, so it doesn't keep re-appearing in iTunes each time I sync?
    Thanks.

So if I understand correctly, there is no way to delete a file from iTunes that has been copied to my iPod and not have iTunes delete that file the next time I plug my iPod into the computer?
I don't really wish to keep my music library intact since it takes up too much space on my drive. Sometimes I copy podcasts to my iPod and then desire to delete it from iTunes to save space but when I plug it back in I find that iTunes deletes these podcasts from my iPod.
What happened to me recently was I had a lot of music on my iPod that I used when I went running. My iMac hard drive and logic board went kaput on me. I had to go back to my old G4 to continue working on some jobs. When I plugged my iPod into the older G4 to charge it and add some recently downloaded podcasts I find that iTunes has completely deleted my running songs since they were purchased and added on my crashed iMac. This makes no sense to me. Whatever is loaded on my iPod should stay on it until I manually delete it.
Oh well, it's not a big deal but it does seem like a flaw with the iPod/iTunes sync. I should be able to treat my iPod just like a flash drive or external drive or something. If I copy something to it, it should stay there until I delete it from the iPod.
Thanks for the information and advice anyway!

  • Syncing Ring Tones & 12 days of Christmas

    Help Help Help,
I downloaded various items from the 12 days of christmas and also bought a ring tone from Itunes. All was fine until I connected the phone to the pc to get some photos from it. Once I went back in the ringtone had gone along with all the items dowloaded from 12 days of christmas. They are showing on my phone on itunes but I cannot put them back on to the phone. Please can anyone help cos this is doing my head in, I have tried loads of different ways and it will not sync back to the phone. Any suggestions????

no no I'm not making the problem clear
12 Days of Xmas App offered a free download of Kylie 'mini' album - I was demoing the app to some folks and happened to hit 'download' on her album three times (three demos of the app... trust me I wouldn't willingly download even one copy....) - at this point what is on my iphone is one album from Kylie, but each track is there three times - so three copies of track 1, three copies of track 2 etc...
'no problem' thinks I, just sync with itunes and remove the unwanted duplicates so - next step... sync the iphone with iTunes.
After the sync what appears in iTunes is one album but with just one copy of each track - but still on the phone there is one album with three copies of each track.
So... I untick the tracks that are appearing in iTunes and resync the phone.
After this sync, on the phone there is still one copy of the album, but only two copies of each track...
Removing the tick basically did remove one copy of each track, but still left me with two on the phone that I just cant get at in any way to remove.

  • 12 Days of Christmas - can't find iTunes

Just had my day 1 email containing a link for this year's 12 Days of Christmas promotion. Following the link displays the Cheryl Cole page with a download button, following THAT link takes me to another page with a header that invites me to download iTunes because "We are unable to find iTunes on your computer. To buy and download music from Promise This Christmas Bundle - EP by Cheryl Cole, get iTunes now."
I've had iTunes 10 since it's been available. The "I Have iTunes" button on that page is disabled. Downloading iTunes again and repairing the installation, AND completely uninstalling iTunes and reinstalling has not solved the problem.
Opening iTunes, going to the store and clicking the 12 Days of Christmas icon takes me to the first page as above and round the loop again.
My wife tried it on her PC and got exactly the same result. Something broken here.

  • When trying to install itunes on my PC, I get the message (unable to remove the older version of Bonjour as well as the message unable to remove the older version of Apple software update). Please advise how to proceed.

Please help with this problem. When trying to install itunes on my HP520 PC, I get the error message (unable to remove the older version of Bonjour as well as the message unable to remove the older version of Apple software update).

    (1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):
    http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4459
    (2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get aCode 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
    (3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
    (4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any Apple Software Updateentries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
Next, select any Bonjour entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
    (5) Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install using an iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe) downloaded from the Apple Website:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Does it go through properly this time?
