Unable to remove Conditional Rule through deployment

If you remove a rule in your source and try to modify your target to remove the rule, the catalog deployer will not remove it in the target.
Trying to update an active form component from source to target by using Catalog Deployer.
On first delpoyement, your source (Development) has one rule.  After the first deployment, you source (Dev) and target (Prod) each have one rule.  Next, you remove the rule in your source (Dev).  When you try to deploy again, the rule will NOT be removed in your target (Prod).  It will also not be removed from the active form behaviour.
Does anyone know a way around this without manually update your target.  Is there a way the catalog deployment can be created so it takes into account rules that were removed in the source?

Joshua - I'm curious if you got an answer to this?  I'm having the same issue with a recent deployment.

  • Remove condition disable through VI Server

We currently have a rather large project with two different versions. A conditional disable is used to select what code should be executed based on a project variable selecting the version. Since the new version is ready to be released to other  users, we would like to separate the project into two projects on different computers: one for critical bug fixes for the old code, one for the new code. Therefore we want to remove the conditional disable structure everywhere, but doing this manually would take a considerable effort. Is there any way we can do this through VI Server?

I don't suppose there is a built in way to do this, but using VI scripting you can go through you hierarchy and call the Remove Structure method on all of these. If you want more details, go look in the LAVA forums scripting forums.
I would probably avoid doing that, however, and I suggest you try to do a find of all the structures and remove them manually.
P.S. For handling different versions of the same project, you should probably check out source code control.

    Hi Jurgen,
when i check the material document and accounting document,it was showing that said amount in negative sign and transaction done by MI10 means posted differences with out reference to document.
it means the user may entered wrongly i think.
was there any GRIR account for MI10?
MI10 does not have reversal or cancel?
    so how to resolve it?
as per my idea it can be done by FI posting.

  • Unable to remove/change sales tax in sales order

    Hi Sappers!!
I are unable to remove sales tax from a sales order.  I have tried to update the sales order by clicking on Header>Conditions Tab>Update-->Double click on G to redetermine the taxes.
The sales order was entered the same day the Vertex record was input.
    Appreciate your pointers and time!!

    Hi,
If you want to remove the sales tax from sales order,
first of all  goto FTXP, give the country, for which you want to change the tax code percentage, and give the tax code and press enter, there it will show existing the tax percentage for that condition type (say earlier it was 10%). Now you want to make it 0% then remove 10 and put it as 0 and save it.
Next goto condition record VK12 maintaine new tax percentage which you want to change. Like earlier 10% was there but you want to make it as 0%, then maintaine in VK12 tax condition record.
Now goto your sale order in change mode VA02, and update the procedure using G, then the new tax willbe reflected i.e., 0% will come.
    Hope this is clear

  • Unable to remove Workforce Planning formulae in Planning 9.3.1.1.16

    Hi All,
We are on using Planning 9.3.1.1.16 and are unable to remove member formulae from Planning.
Our Planning application is EPMA (9.3.1.3) enabled. When refreshing the Planning application we receive the following error:
Error [1200497] detected in member formula for member "Regular Headcount".
Error [1200497] detected in member formula for member "Departed Headcount".
Error [1200497] detected in member formula for member "LOA Headcount".
Error [1200497] detected in member formula for member "Maternity Headcount".
Error [1200497] detected in member formula for member "On Sabbatical Headcount".
Error [1200497] detected in member formula for member "Contractor Headcount".
Error [1200497] detected in member formula for member "Temporary Headcount".
Error [1200497] detected in member formula for member "Other Headcount".
Error [1200497] detected in member formula for member "Turnover Headcount Adjustment".
Error [1200497] detected in member formula for member "Regular FTE".
Error [1200497] detected in member formula for member "Contractor FTE".
Error [1200497] detected in member formula for member "Temporary FTE".
Error [1200497] detected in member formula for member "Other FTE".
Error [1200497] detected in member formula for member "Turnover Adjustment".
    STEPS TO REPRODUCE :
-In EPMA Master Library, remove the formulae for the above members and save the changes every time
    - In Planning remove the member formulae for the above members (EDIT_DIM_ENABLED set to TRUE). This step may not be required however I tested it and was able to reproduce the issue
    - Deploy the EPMA applicatoin. Deployment is successful
    - Refresh Planning app. Refresh is successful
    - Now change any property for any of the above members in EPMA. For example add an alias of Turnover Adj to the "Turnover Adjustment" member and save.
    - Deploy the EPMA app => Successful
    - Refresh Planning app=> Fails with same above error
Observation: The member formulae are back in Planning not EPMA. It looks like edit workforce members somehow causes the formulae to reappear in Planning.
Has anyone come across this issue?
    Thanks for your help.
    Seb

Just in case anyone has a similar issue...
Thsi was reported as bug #7411035 (ie: Character Limit for Member Formulas ). Details from Oracle Dev below:
The character limit was 2000 causing longer member formulas to fail during an application deployment. An underlying bug was found during investigation of the member formula limit and we think this is the cause of your particular issue. The problem was with empty member formula string. During the deployment process there are EAS side checks. EAS will only accept a member formula if it contains at least one character(length > 0), else the formula
field is rejected in the deployment XML file.
The script below copy the member formula to a different table and then delete the original. So it is quite a destructive query to run.
Prior to executing the query, a full EPMA/Planning applications backup should be performed (including essbase side) and the EPMA Dimension Server services (particularly the Process Manager) should be stopped.

  • Mapping runs through Deployment Manager but hangs in Process Flow

    Hi,
I have a Mapping bound in a simple Process Flow.
The mapping deploys through Deployment Manager and runs. It currently processes no rows and takes a couple of seconds to do that. It completes with a Success message.
However, when I wrap it into a simple Process Flow...
    --- w ---> END_WARNING
    START ---> MY_MAPPING ---- s ---> END_SUCCESS
    --- e ---> END_ERROR
.., deploy this and run it through the Deployment Manager, it hangs. I get the 'Execution in progress...' window with the moving graphic forever.
The Runtime Repository Browser Execution Report tells me that it is 'Busy', and if I drill down to the Process Flow Run Execution Report, I see an identical Start and End Time, an Elapsed Time of 0 seconds, and no other details (Execution Parameters, Activity Details or Error Messages).
Looking under 'Find Processes' on the Workflow Home Page, my workflow has no status in the Process List. Drilling down to the Diagram, I have a green line from the 'Start' element to my Mapping but the Mapping itself has no special colour.
I go back to the Deployment Manager and cancel the job - which it does and reports that it 'Completed with errors'.
The Runtime Repository Browser Execution Report now tells me that it is 'Busy' (with an information bubble), and if I drill down to the Process Flow Run Execution Report, I see different Start and End Times, and Elapsed Time of n seconds, a single Error Message 'RPE-01002: The operation was aborted at user request.', and no other details (Execution Parameters, Activity Details).
Looking under 'Find Processes' on the Workflow Home Page, my workflow has a status of 'Complete' in the Process LIst. Drilling down to the Diagram, I still have a green line from the 'Start' element to my Mapping and the Mapping itself still has no colour and no indication that it has stopped.
    I'm running:
    Oracle9i EE 9.2.0.5.0
    Oracle10g OWB Client 10.2.0.1.0
    Oracle10g OWB Repository 10.1.0.1.0
Anybody know how I can go about tracking down why this Process Flow is hanging - and, of course, getting it unhung :-)
    Regards
    Steve

    Hello Steve,
It's a little difficult to read the exact flow from your ASCII graphics.
However, from your description it seems your workflow task only has an outgoing success connector, and your execution was not a success. This will stop the execution of that branch of your process flow, since there are no valid routes to take. If you only have a single branch in your workflow, the process flow is stuck.
To expedite your hung process you just click on the task icon in the Workflow Monitor graph window that does not have a green outgoing connector, press the Expedite button and select skip.
Corollary: If you use conditional connectors, always use all 3 from a task. I not using all 3, have a very good understanding of why you don't.
    Regards, Hans Henrik

    Try this.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up
