Unable to remove Workforce Planning formulae in Planning 9.3.1.1.16

Hi All,
We are on using Planning 9.3.1.1.16 and are unable to remove member formulae from Planning.
Our Planning application is EPMA (9.3.1.3) enabled. When refreshing the Planning application we receive the following error:
Error [1200497] detected in member formula for member "Regular Headcount".
Error [1200497] detected in member formula for member "Departed Headcount".
Error [1200497] detected in member formula for member "LOA Headcount".
Error [1200497] detected in member formula for member "Maternity Headcount".
Error [1200497] detected in member formula for member "On Sabbatical Headcount".
Error [1200497] detected in member formula for member "Contractor Headcount".
Error [1200497] detected in member formula for member "Temporary Headcount".
Error [1200497] detected in member formula for member "Other Headcount".
Error [1200497] detected in member formula for member "Turnover Headcount Adjustment".
Error [1200497] detected in member formula for member "Regular FTE".
Error [1200497] detected in member formula for member "Contractor FTE".
Error [1200497] detected in member formula for member "Temporary FTE".
Error [1200497] detected in member formula for member "Other FTE".
Error [1200497] detected in member formula for member "Turnover Adjustment".
STEPS TO REPRODUCE :
-In EPMA Master Library, remove the formulae for the above members and save the changes every time
- In Planning remove the member formulae for the above members (EDIT_DIM_ENABLED set to TRUE). This step may not be required however I tested it and was able to reproduce the issue
- Deploy the EPMA applicatoin. Deployment is successful
- Refresh Planning app. Refresh is successful
- Now change any property for any of the above members in EPMA. For example add an alias of Turnover Adj to the "Turnover Adjustment" member and save.
- Deploy the EPMA app => Successful
- Refresh Planning app=> Fails with same above error
Observation: The member formulae are back in Planning not EPMA. It looks like edit workforce members somehow causes the formulae to reappear in Planning.
Has anyone come across this issue?
Thanks for your help.
Seb

Just in case anyone has a similar issue...
Thsi was reported as bug #7411035 (ie: Character Limit for Member Formulas ). Details from Oracle Dev below:
The character limit was 2000 causing longer member formulas to fail during an application deployment. An underlying bug was found during investigation of the member formula limit and we think this is the cause of your particular issue. The problem was with empty member formula string. During the deployment process there are EAS side checks. EAS will only accept a member formula if it contains at least one character(length > 0), else the formula
field is rejected in the deployment XML file.
The script below copy the member formula to a different table and then delete the original. So it is quite a destructive query to run.
Prior to executing the query, a full EPMA/Planning applications backup should be performed (including essbase side) and the EPMA Dimension Server services (particularly the Process Manager) should be stopped.

  • Unable to create workforce/capex Plan

    All Experts,
We are unable to create Workforce plan. We have followed all the steps in guide, but still we are not able to deploy any plan which is valid for Plan type 'Workforce'.
We would appreciate, if anyone of you can indicate some specific pointer or steps which possibly are not clearly spellout in the documentation. As documentation mentioned that once you initialize the workforce all the necessary forms, rules, dimensions etc are made available. We can see the dimensions/default members, but to access the forms/rules, we need a plan in place which is not happenning.
    Please help.

    Dear friend,
Check what is the status of test cases in solar02.
When you upload scripts the status is draft or in process.
You should upload them as Released.
Check the status of document in the Test plan attributes which you are generating ....normally it is released.
so if you document status as released it wont be visible...just change the document status to rleaseed in solar02 then goto stwb_2 and regenerate it ........this wil work....
    hope it helps.....Pls assign Pts.

  • Remove data plan from family plan with basic phones?

Is there a way to remove a data plan from a family plan with just basic phones on it? We used to have a $20/month basic plan until we had to get a data plan for our son's iPhone. He no longer has the iPhone with Verizon and has removed his line from the plan because he has an Android with Sprint. We also were required to use the data plan because we at one point had one of those "Hotspot" devices as a temporary solution for at-home Internet until our DSL line could be fixed. As of now we no longer have the hotspot device or the iPhone, but we still have a data plan that is patently useless because all we have are basic phones. On the My Verizon Wireless website, it says that "your text and data are now bundled with your plan" or something to that effect. I don't want to be paying extra for a useless data plan that we don't need or want because we are not in the market for fancy smart phones or tablets any time soon.
Is there any way to unbundle or detach the data plan so that we no longer have one and just have the unlimited text and calling plan without data? Our daughter is fine with her EnV Touch from 2005 and us old folks are perfectly content with the basic flip phones. Is the EnV a data phone too, in which case we should get rid of the EnV Touch in favor of an even more "basic" basic phone? She's not much of a technology buff like her brother is and has even suggested getting rid of the "fancier" phone that she has for a basic flip phone. Are we stuck with the data plan unless we break everyone off from the family plan (it's just me, my husband, my daughter, and my sister for right now) and move everyone to pay-as-you-go or no-contract? Wouldn't that end up costing more in the long run? How can we get rid of this annoying and expensive data plan that nobody on our network even uses and is causing a headache of expense?

As I understand the plans now (and this could be wrong, they change so often I get confused!!) to have the "pay as you go" data, on the More Everything, you have 700 shared minutes.  To bump up to unlimited minutes, there is an attached data plan of 500 MB, and the total cost for 4 basic phones, unlimited minutes and text, 500 MB data, is $100/mo  ($20 for each basic phone line access, and $20 for the data).  The 700 shared minutes and pay as you go data is $85.
You can change your plan at any time.

  • I need to remove a phone from my plan, how do I do that? I just see suspend service. The contract is up for that phone.

I need to remove a phone from my plan that the contract is up for. I can not seem to find anywhere to do that.

You can't cancel a line of service on-line; you have to either call Customer Service or visit your local Corporate Verizon store.

    Hi Experts,
I am working on the SAP HCM implementation in the Health Sector and this is the first time i am working in Health Sector Project, and one of the IS-Healthcare Consultant has raised the following issue saying it as HR, and i am unable to figure out if its my error or not,I checked all the settings from my end and everything seems to be fine from my end... Please Advise....
In IS-H there is a t-code called NB20 to create an organization structure in IS-H , but when he is trying to execute the t code thru easy access, it is giving a message saying " PLAN VERSION CURRENT PLAN WAS SET" ...
IMG - Personnel Management - Global Settings in Personnel Management - Plan Version Maintenance - Maintain Plan Versions/ Set Active Plan Version
    Please Advise...

    Dear bharadwaj kocherlakota:
Please maintain parameter POP = 01 in SU3 for that guy from IS-H, exit/enter SAP again; that should stop the message
Let us know if that work!
    Best regards,

  • Difference between Pension plans and savings plans

    Dear Friends,
I'm familiar with the configuration of savings plans. But I have no idea about the pension plans. I realize that some of the basic steps are common to both savings and pension plans but what is the main difference from a config perspective?.
If any one can kindly explain the necessary steps to set up pension plans or if there is any document which talks about it please please let me know.
I appreciate the help and thanks in advance.

IMG Path: Personnel Management  Benefits  Plans  Health Plans  Define Minimum and Maximum Number of Dependents
    Define Cost Variants:
In this step you define cost variants to determine which factors influence the cost of a health plan for an employee. Variants are plan-specific; each plan has its own variant(s).
You do not enter any actual costs in this step. You simply define how costs vary according to:
    u2022 Plan
    u2022 Option
    u2022 Dependent coverage
    u2022 Employee data
Before you start to define cost variants, you need to do the following:
    1. Determine how often costs vary for all the combinations of option and dependent coverage that you have defined in each plan.
This indicates how many cost variants you need. You can use the same cost variant more than once, for example, if costs are always identical for the dependent coverages 'employee only' and 'employee plus family' within a plan, regardless of the plan option
    2. Determine how costs vary according to employee data.
This determines how you need to set up your variants using employee groupings.
For each variant, you can specify a parameter group and cost grouping to determine cost. You can also indicate whether the gender of employees and whether or not they are smokers are cost criteria
IMG Path: Personnel Management  Benefits  Plans  Health Plans  Define Cost Variants
    Cost Rules:
You need to define costs for each possible combination of employee grouping in the criteria you have attributed to each variant. If you have not specified any criteria in a variant, you assign one rule only
IMG Path: Personnel Management  Benefits  Plans  Health Plans  Define Cost Rule
    Health Plan Attributes:
In this step, you bring together all the definitions relevant to the health plan that you have made in the previous steps.
You assign to each health plan:
    u2022 Its options
    u2022 Relevant dependent coverages
u2022 The cost variants for the combination of options and dependent coverages
IMG Path: Personnel Management  Benefits  Plans  Health Plans  Assign Health Plan Attributes
    Insurance Plans:
In this step, you define general data for insurance plans
IMG Path: Personnel Management  Benefits  Plans  Insurance Plans  Define Insurance Plan General Data
    Coverage Variants:
In this step, you define coverage variants to determined which factors influence the coverage an employee is entitled to in a plan. Variants are plan-specific; each plan has its own variant(s).
You do not enter any actual coverage in this step. You simply define how coverage varies according to:
    u2022 Plan
    u2022 Coverage option
    u2022 Employee data
Before you start to define coverage variants, you need to do the following:
    1. Determine how often coverage varies for different coverage options.
This indicates how many coverage variants you need. Note the following:
u2022 If a plan has set coverages (including salary multiples), you need a
    coverage variant for each.
u2022 If a plan allows employees to choose any amount of coverage within a
range, you need only one coverage variant.
u2022 If a plan has options, you will need a coverage variant for each option.
    2. Determine how coverage varies according to employee data.
This determines how you need to set up your variants using employee groupings. For each variant, you can specify a parameter group and coverage grouping to determine coverage
IMG Path: Personnel Management  Benefits  Plans  Insurance Plans 
    Coverage Rules:
In this step, you define the actual coverages for a plan.
You need to define coverage for each possible combination of employee grouping in the criteria you have attributed to each variant. If you have not specified any criteria in a variant, you assign one rule only.
Coverage can be defined as a flat amount or as a factor of salary
IMG Path: Personnel Management  Benefits  Plans  Insurance Plans  Define Coverage Rules
    Cost Variants:
In this step you define cost variants to determine which factors influence the cost of an insurance plan for an employee. Variants are plan-specific; each plan has its own variant(s).
You do not enter any actual costs in this step. You simply define how costs vary according to:
    u2022 Plan
    u2022 Coverage option
    u2022 Employee data
Before you start to define cost variants, you need to do the following:
    1. Determine how often cost varies for different coverage options:
u2022 If an insurance plan has set flat coverage options and flat costs, you need
to define a cost variant for each flat cost.
u2022 If you have set flat coverage options and the flat costs are directly
proportional to the coverage stated in the flat cost, you need only one
    cost variant.
u2022 If an employee can choose any amount of coverage within a range and the
cost of the coverage is directly proportional to the coverage, you need
    only one cost variant.
    2. Determine how costs vary according to employee data.
This determines how you need to set up your variants using employee groupings.
For each variant, you can specify a parameter group and cost grouping to determine cost. You can also indicate whether the gender of employees and whether or not they are smokers are cost criteria
IMG Path: Personnel Management  Benefits  Plans  Insurance Plans  Define Cost Variants
    Cost Rules:
You need to define costs for each possible combination of employee grouping in the criteria you have attributed to each variant. If you have not specified any criteria in a variant, you assign one rule only
IMG Path: Personnel Management  Benefits  Plans  Insurance Plans  Define Cost Rules
    Insurance Plan Attributes:
In this step, you bring together all those parts of an insurance plan, that you have already defined in the previous few steps.
You define the insurance plan options, then associate to each insurance plan:
    u2022 Cost variant
    u2022 Coverage variant
IMG Path: Personnel Management  Benefits  Plans  Insurance Plans  Assign Insurance Plan Attributes
    Combined Coverage Limits:
When you define coverages for plans such as insurance, you can set limits on the coverage amount. This is often used when the coverage is an amount dynamically calculated when the employee chooses her coverage.
However these limits apply only to one plan and yet you might need to define limits which combine the coverages of more than one plan.
In this chapter, you define these combined limits as follows:
    1. The limit that might span 2 or more plans is reduced to a mathematical equation, where there is an amount on one side and plan coverages on the other side. The two sides of this equation are then DIVIDED BETWEEN the two views in this chapter.
    2. The first view defines the limit in monetary terms which is one side of the equation. It also defines the operator (equals, is greater than, and so on).
    3. The second view defines the other side of the equation in terms of the plan coverages
IMG Path: Personnel Management  Benefits  Plans  Insurance Plans  Combined Coverage  Combined Coverage
    Combined Coverage Limit Expressions:
In this step, you enter the second half of the equation, as discussed in combined coverage
IMG Path: Personnel Management  Benefits  Plans  Insurance Plans  Combined Coverage  Define Combined Coverage Limit Expressions
    Imputed Income for Selected Benefits:
In this section of the IMG, you define the criteria needed to calculate Imputed Income.
Imputed Income is based upon benefits paid for by the employer and calculated using rates set by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). This value is then treated as taxable income for the employee
IMG Path: Personnel Management  Benefits  Plans  Insurance Plans  Combined Coverage  Review Age Groups for Imputed Income
Review Calculation Factors for Imputed Income:
In this step, you check that the Imputed Income Rate Table entries are correct.
The imputed income age groups are associated with the rates/factors set by the IRS
IMG Path: Personnel Management  Benefits  Plans  Insurance Plans  Combined Coverage  Review Calculation Factors for Imputed Income
    Savings Plans:
In this step, you define general data for savings plans.
You have defined the relevant type, status, and provider for each plan in the Basic Settings section of the Benefits IMG
IMG Path: Personnel Management  Benefits  Plans  Savings Plans  Define Savings Plan General Data
    Employee Contribution Variants:
In this step you define employee contribution variants to determine which factors influence the permitted employee contribution to a plan. Variants are plan-specific; each plan has its own variant(s).
You do not enter any actual contributions in this step. You simply define how contributions vary according to:
    u2022 Plan
u2022 Option (only for plans in the plan category Miscellaneous)
    u2022 Employee data
Before you start to define variants, you need to do the following:
    1. Determine how often employee contributions vary for plans and any plan options.
This indicates how many contribution variants you need.
    2. Determine how employee contributions vary according to employee data.
This determines how you need to set up your variants using employee groupings.
For each variant, you can specify a parameter group and employee contribution grouping to determine employee contribution
IMG Path: Personnel Management  Benefits  Plans  Savings Plans  Define Employee Contribution Variants
    Employee Contribution Rules:
In this step, you define the employee contribution limits for each plan.
You need to define employee contributions limits for each possible combination of employee grouping in the criteria you have attributed to each variant. If you have not specified any criteria in a variant, you assign one rule only.
You can define minimum and maximum employee contribution in the following ways:
    u2022 As a fixed amount
u2022 As a percentage of salary
    u2022 As a contribution unit
In Payroll, the total employee contribution is the sum of these amounts
IMG Path: Personnel Management  Benefits  Plans  Savings Plans  Define Employee Contribution Rules
    Employer Contribution Variants:
In this step you define employer contribution variants to determine which factors influence the contribution the employer makes to a plan. Variants are plan-specific; each plan has its own variant(s).
You do not enter any actual contribution in this step. You only define how contributions vary according to:
    u2022 Plan
u2022 Option (only for plans in the plan category Miscellaneous)
    u2022 Employee data
Before you start to define variants, you need to do the following:
    1. Determine how often employee contributions vary for plans and any plan options.
This indicates how many contribution variants you need.
    2. Determine how employee contributions vary according to employee data.
This determines how you need to set up your variants using employee groupings.
For each variant, you can specify a parameter group and employer contribution grouping to determine employer contribution
IMG Path: Personnel Management  Benefits  Plans  Savings Plans  Define Employer Contribution Variants
    Employer Contribution Rules:
In this step, you define limits for the contributions made by the employer to employee plans. You so this for each employer contribution variant for each plan.
You need to define employer contributions limits for each possible combination of employee grouping in the criteria you have attributed to each variant. If you have not specified any criteria in a variant, you assign one rule only.
You can define the employer contribution and the contribution limit in either of the following ways:
u2022 As a fixed amount / as an amount per unit contributed by the employee
u2022 As a percentage of employee base salary or employee contribution
IMG Path: Personnel Management  Benefits  Plans  Savings Plans  Define Employer Contribution Rules
    Assign Savings Plan Attributes:
In this step, you complete the definition of savings plans by bringing together the relevant elements that you have already defined:
    u2022 EE contribution variant
    u2022 ER contribution variant

    Hi,
I am getting a warning message on screen, saying that myiPad hasn't been backed up to iCloud for two weeks, and advising under what circumstances the message appears. My problem is, is that I have backed it up, but am unable to remove the message, and whilst the message is there, the iPad is frozen, and I cannot do anything.
Has any other user had such a problem, and if so, how did they rectify it.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

    Try this.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up

    Hi Jurgen,
when i check the material document and accounting document,it was showing that said amount in negative sign and transaction done by MI10 means posted differences with out reference to document.
it means the user may entered wrongly i think.
was there any GRIR account for MI10?
MI10 does not have reversal or cancel?
    so how to resolve it?
as per my idea it can be done by FI posting.
    please help to resolve.

  • Unable to remove a host from VMM - Error (2606) Unable to perform the job because one or more of the selected objects are locked by another job.

I am unable to remove a host from my Virtual Machine Manager 2012 R2. I receive the following error:
    Error (2606)
Unable to perform the job because one or more of the selected objects are locked by another job.
    Recommended Action
To find out which job is locking the object, in the Jobs view, group by Status, and find the running or canceling job for the object. When the job is complete, try again.
I have already tried running the following command in SQL Server Management Studio
    SELECT * FROM [VirtualManagerDB].[dbo].[tbl_VMM_Lock] where TaskID='Task_GUID'
    I received this error back:
    Msg 8169, Level 16, State 2, Line 1
Conversion failed when converting from a character string to uniqueidentifier.
I have also tried rebooting both the host and the Virtual Machine Manager Server.  After rebooting them both, I still receive the same error when trying to remove the host.
    Here are my server details
VMM Server OS = Windows 2012 Standard
    VMM Version = 2012 R2 3.2.7510.0
    Host OS = Windows 2012 R2 Datacenter
    Host Agent Version = 3.2.75.10.0
SQL Server OS = Windows 2012 Datacenter
    SQL Version = 2012 SP 1 (11.0.3000.0)

    Hi there,
How many hosts are you managing with your VMM server?
The locking job might be the background host refresher job. Did you see any jobs in the jobs view, when the host removal job failed?
If there is no active jobs in the jobs view when this host removal job fails, can you please turn on the VMM tracing, retry the host removal, and paste back the traces for the failed job (search for exception and paste the whole stack)?
    Thanks!

  • Scope of Planning for Total Planning

    Hi SAP Gurus,
My Client Scenario is as follows
They import Spare Part materials from abroad to a Main Warehouse (defined as Plant in SAP) and then do stock transfer to around 60+ warehouse in different states (each defined as Plant in SAP).
At any time Stock exists in any of 60+ Plant and Main ware house Plant. However Purchase requirement and Purchase Order is created and placed from Only Main Warehouse Plant.
Now I am implementing Consumption based Planning with MRP.  I am Planning to define a Scope of Planning for Total Planning.
    Clarification I request :
    1. Whether I need to define Only all 60+ Plants in Scope of Planning or can I include Main warehouse Plant also ?
    2. In which case if there is requirement in one individual Plant and there exists stock in another one Plant - whether system will automatically create stock transfer Planned order. What Special procurement type I need to define for this (If it is 40 , whether I need to define any Issuing Plant, since I have 60 + Plants)
    3. If I have to run Forecast and Planning run daily for 60+ Plants and weekly for Main warehouse Plant, Whether I need to create a Separate Scope of Planning for 60+ Plants and a Separate Variant for Main ware house Plant with different Schedules - Am I correct
    Thanks and Regards,
    R.Velmurugan.

    Hi Kumar,
    Thanks for your immediate response.
If we define Special procurement type 40 for 60+ warehouse Plants materials with Supplying plant as Main Warehouse Plant, then if there exists stock in one of 60+ Plants and there is requirement in one of another 60+ plants how system will consider and create stock transfer between them.
Whether stock transfer between 60+ as well as Main plant is Possible ? If possible how to define Special Procurement type ?
Secondly what ever issued from 60+ Plants is the real Consumption of Material (as Material issued from Main ware house plant to 60+ Plants is only stock transfers and not real consumption).
In which case how to go about for forecast and MRP run for 60+ Plants and Main plant ?
    Thanks,
    R.Velmurugan
