Perhaps it is held by the process. Find process, stop it and do what you want. If you still cannot what you need, make a script and run it in Task Schedule with elevated rights as SYSTEM. You may reregister newly named dll.

    Hi Guys
I have an issue please help on that earliest.
When am trying to install Windows server 2008 OS. Error msg was coming 0x80070070:"not having enough space for installation"..Even though i have 20GB space?..Pls resolve this issue immediately.
    Regards,
    Shiv

Is this a clean install or an upgrade?  20 GB, though greater than the minimum, is pretty minimal.  How much memory do you have on the system?  2008 would try to create a page file of 1.5x physical memory, so if you are building on a large
memory system, you could be having an issue there.
    "Pls resolve this issue immediately"

  • Unable to mount dfs volume from Windows Server 2008 R2

I am trying to use Finder|Go|Connect to Server to connect to a DFS volume shared by a Windows Server 2008 R2 machine.  I get the following errors:
A dialog box that says, "There was a problem connecting to the server "server name".  Contact your system administrator for more information"
    Messages in the log:
PM kernel: smb_ntstatus_error_to_errno: Couldn't map ntstatus (0xc0000225) to errno returning EIO
PM NetAuthSysAgent: checkForDfsReferral: mounting dfs url failed , syserr = Input/output error
    PM NetAuthSysAgent: smb_mount: mount failed to <server name>, syserr = Input/output error
I've seen a reference to this article (https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3258472) to fix similar problems but that seems only to apply to Mac-based servers not Windows servers.
I called AppleCare but they said they are unable to troubleshoot a problem originating on a Windows Server.
The Mac is running 10.7.4 but the problem happens on 10.7.3 as well.
I can connect to non-DFS volumes from other Windows Servers with no issue.

After some more digging around I found out that it works when using the cifs: prefix instead of the smb: prefix in Finder|Go|Connect to Server.
So instead of using the name smb://servername.company.com I use the name cifs://servername.company.com.

  • Unable to install SAP B1 on Windows server 2008 R2

    Hi
I am unable to install the SAP Business one 2007 B PL00 on Windows server 2008 R2.
Environment is set as following :
    1. SQL SERVER 2008 Installed on Server A
    2. SAP B1 to be installed on Server B
3 Both servers are in domain
    4.Firewall is off
    5. ODBC Connection is tested Successfully
6 Port is also seem to be ok.
But  after Installing server tool, when trying to install the Server , in server type nothing is displayed.
I also checked the connecting SQL server from the instance .
Please help  is this is related to compatibility of Windows server 2008 R2 with 2007 B or so .
    Thanks & Regards
    RP

Windows server 2008 R2 is not a supported OS for a lower 2007 version. You need to install a higher version.
    Hi Gordon ,
It means I have to install SAP 2007 B PL10 afterwards upgrade it to the latest patch level .
But searching in the forms , i have  seen some bopdy installed the SAP 2007 B PL15 on Windows server 2008 R2.
    Thanks in advance

  • Unable to install SCCM client on Windows Server 2008 R2 - certificate permission error?

I am trying to comply with corporate policy, which is, have an SCCM agent or client on every Windows device. I have successfully used the provided SCCM installer on other Windows 2008 R2 servers. However for one particular server I cannot get the SCCM agent
to install successfully. I've searched forums and documentation, but can't find a solution. Part of the problem is the lack of feedback by SCCM on what is wrong. I think I have narrowed down the symptom to the following error messages from the "C:\Windows\CCM\Logs\ClientIDManagerStartup.log":
[LOG[Certificate [Thumbprint C559304C1598F17641D0732EB9EB787169A25FA7] issued to 'SMS' doesn't have private key or caller doesn't have access to private key.

When I use the Certificates MMC snap in to look at installed certs on this Windows Server 2008 R2 machine, there are plenty of normal and expected certificates there. There is also a branch called SMS with hundreds of entries, I have no idea what that is.
The above error seems to indicate a permissions issue. What do I do to fix this SCCM install? It seems like a server cert issue, not an SCCM issue, so I'm posting to the Windows Server forums.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Unable to configure BMR protection on Windows Server 2008 from DPM 2012 r2 server

We are trying to implement BMR and System State protection on our physical servers and have had issues when trying to set it up for a server running windows server 2008. I have verified that the DPM agent is up to date running version 4.2.1273.0. When
configuring the protection group and expanding system protection the only option is system state. When configuring protection on other physical servers running Windows Server 2012 I am able to select bare metal recovery. Has anyone else had this issue and
know how we can resolve this? Thank you for anyone who takes the time to lend a helping hand.

    Hi,
Do you have Windows backup feature installed on the server in question?
Also is the server part of a work group or untrusted domain?

    Hello All,
I've got a Windows Server 2008 R2 that's bluescreened twice in a week. Running on a HP DL360 in Proxmox virtual environment. Below are the two dump outputs:

    Hi there.
I had install Oracle Warehouse Builder g11 R2 32 Bit version on a Windows Server 2008 R2 64 Bit version.
After the install, my setowbenv.bat looks like:

    Can someone help me?

    Hi Deb
With the code that's out today I don't think the compatibility mode works, from what I can read from users' experencies on LinkedIn discussions.
Customers have used Windows XP mode for Windows 7 (for example), this installs a Windows XP virtual machine in which you can install and run OWB 11gR2 on your Windows 7 (64-bit) workstation. Windows XP mode can be downloaded from:
    http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtual-pc/download.aspx
You should also increase your XP mode virtual machine memory (RAM) allocation to at least 1GB for it to perform at an acceptable level. This will get you going until there is a better option.
    Cheers

  • Windows Server 2008 r2 install error gpt partition style

Good morning I am trying to install Window Server 2008 r2 (trail) on my Dell inspiron 15 and also keep Windows 8 when I set up a partition of 50G and go thru the install it tells me The selected Disk is of the GPT partition style.  How do I fix this
    issue.
    Thanks
    Mike

    Hi,
Since we are still discussing the same problem, so I merged them.
I want to confirm some information. Is your computer boot in BIOS mode or UEFI mode? Open computer management->Disk management->Properties->Volumes.
Is your current partition type GPT or MBR?
    For now,
starting with Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1, all versions of Windows Server can use GPT partitioned disks for data. Booting is only supported for 64-bit editions
on Itanium-based systems. For windows 7, windows VISTA and window server 2008, Booting is only supported for 64-bit editions on UEFI-based systems.
So, the solution is either to change the boot mode or convert your disk. Remind, if you want to convert your disk, data on it should be cleared.
    Hope this helps.

  • Windows Server 2008 standard Activation Error Code 0xc004c003

    Hi
I am trying to activate the windows server 2008 standard but i am not able to do so.
    I am getting the error.
The product key you have entered does not appear to be a valid windows server product key.
I have also call to microsoft activation team but they won't be able to resolve the issue, they found that the product key is valid. Then why it is not getting activated.
Can someone help on this ? any reply really appreciated.

    Hi,
Based on your description, we need to make sure that the product key information has been typed correctly and the product key matches to the edition installed.
Besides, regarding error code 0xC004C003, the following article can be worth taking a look.

    Hope it helps.

  • Update error of SQL Server 2012 enterprise running on Windows server 2008 standard SP2 (32 bits)

    Hi there;
I have a windows server 2008 SP2 (32bits) in which I have an instance of SQL Server
    2008 and another of 2012.
My Windows server 2008 installed the following updates; (see below).
    (KB2898858),(KB2909921),(KB890830),(KB2898869),(KB2911502),(KB2901126),
    (KB2916036),(KB2862973),(KB2901113)
After the machine was re-started, I was not abble to connect
to the instance of SQL Server 2012.  I am able
to connect to the instance of SQL Server 2008.
The error message I get when I atemp to connect can be found
at the end of the list of updates below.
Do I need to uninstall an update? if so, which one and how do I do that?

    Hi,
Check if SQL Server service is running fine. I doubt you may have changed the user account password used for SQL Server service. After restarting the machine, you also need to update the user account of SQL Server service in Configuration
Manager. Re-type the user account name and password under Log on tab and see how it helps.
    Thanks.
