Unable to rent or download???
Anyone else with this problem today?
No matter what I select via my ATV, it just spins and spins displaying " accessing iTunes store"
and nothing ever happens.
Are the servers down?
What is going on?
i would start trying to access something else online like youtube or flickr
then i would try to pull the plug from the router for 10sec and reconnect
if that did not help
i would restart the atv if that did not help i would suspect the servers had issues

"Unable to check for downloads" message -- how do I see the movie I rented?
I just rented "The King of Kong" through my AppleTV and it tells me to go to Settings-Downloads-Check for Downloads to view it, but when I do I always get "Unable to check for downloads"! So how exactly do I see the movie I just rented? And of course there is no one live at customer support at this hour. This is not the seamless experience I've always heard people are supposed to have with Apple products!
Same problem on 3rd rental--"Over Her Dead Body." Amazing how many times this title appears on this thread. Coincidence or server issue? I haven't tried renting since this problem. Title appears in iTunes account; checking "purchases" under "Store" shows all purchases downloaded. Still get "Cannot check for downloads" message on ATV for two days now. 2d request into Apple Support now; will see what they say.

Apple TV: unable to check for downloads
I have rented movies on my Apple TV before, but when I tried to rent a movie recently on Apple TV I couldn't get it to work. I went through all the steps but it didn't start downloading. And when I went to check for downloads, this message came up, "unable to check for downloads". Everything else works perfect, so I have no idea why this is happening. Anyone have any thought on this?
Ha! That must be a popular movie, because we're trying to rent Shaun of the Dead over here as well. Same symptoms as everyone else is reporting, D.C. Metro area. I've rebooted the device, disconnected and reconfigured the WLAN settings, logged out and back into iTunes Store, and nothing fixes it. Still getting "Unable to check for downloads" when I do what the device tells me to do.
Argh. How's about a bit of that famous "Customer Service," Apple? -
Why does my apple tv say it is unable to check for downloads?
I have disconected my internet like three times and restarted my apple tv. Yesterday, I used reset settings but I fixed that. How can I make it download my shows and movies if it says that is unable to check for downloads. I do have great internet.

I have a brand new Apple TV and having some problems.
I have been renting and downloading movies for some time with my iTunes account no problems. However, I am unable to do any of these tasks on the Apple TV directly.
I have to download/rent them through iTunes, and then sync them over to the TV box to get it to work.
When I hit the Rent £3.99 / HD Rent $4.99 button on the Apple TV, the "Authorizing" message appears for a second and then it flicks back to the same rent screen. I don't get the ready ot download screen.
Its like its failing authorisation - but no error message. This is the same for purchasing music.
The auth is working though because it plays the stuff I buy & rent from iTunes when I sync it over.
Any ideas?I've typed in the iTunes account name and password on the ATV it'self and it accepts it (I know because I typed a false password in to test if it was checking and it rejects).
I can view the trailers by the way - just can't make any purchase directly from the ATV.
My iTunes account definately has credit too - double checked.
Any other ideas? Pulling my hair out here You know this is my first apple product - I finally relented because my friends kept telling me that Apple stuff just "worked" unlike PC stuff. But it definately doesn't! -
Mainstage Was unable to complete the download world music loops
Ok, so I have bought Mainstage 2.2 from the app Store, and have almost downloaded all the additional content.
However, the only pack that will not complete it the World Music Apple Loops.
I immediately get the message, Mainstage was unable to complete the download.
There is no attempt to download this pack.
Any suggestions? I don't really want to uninstall and download 20Gb again.
CheersMore disk space than I can shake a stick at, very stable internet connection, speedtest shows ping <18ms etc. The main reason for purchasing mainstage is for the loops and instruments, at £20 that's a bargain, but only if I can get the application to download the last package.
Wireshark shows that the server is rejecting the request from MainStage as a HTTP/1.1 416 Requested Range Not Satisfiable.
Looks like either a MainStage Application issue requesting the HTTP GET command or the Server not servicing that request.

Tried many a times and used various unzipping tool.do not pause the download in the middle of the download.
with some download software, you can pause/stop the download in middle and continue.it will corrupt the software.
else in middle the due to network... it may corrupt.
check/compare the size with the original bytes mentioned in the oracle software download index size matches your downloaded file size.
try to download it again.

When I try to do a CC update I get an U44M1I210 error message, "Update failed - Unable to extract the downloaded files. Press retry to download again. (U44M1I210)" - help please - re-downloading makes no difference, applies to latest Indesign, Illustrator and Photoshop CC, others seemed to update without problems. I can see the disk image files in AAMUpdater folder but they will not open and come up with "couldn't be opened - resource busy" message.
Yes Jeff, I did all those several times to no avail.
I've included a small error snippet from two installs here. In Creative Cloud when updating the Apps, all 3 get to 50%, then the failure occurs. Retrying starts at 50% and fails the same way each time.
This first one is a segment from the Indesign updater - I have always had the all hard drive folders with read and write privileges allowed and I checked again, this is still the case so I do not know why this particular error message is arising. The second snippet if from the Illustrator update.

Hi, my iPod touch has been unable to sync since downloading the new cloud software. It says: An error occurred while restoring this iPod (-34) So my music is not on it. The apps are still on it. It doesn't have 3G so the cloud is pointless anyway. It just said it was a software update, I should have avoided it. Music is all I use on it so help me please!

Thank you for responding to my problem so promptly. Frankly, I did not expect to hear from people so soon! The fact is that as soon as I posted the question, I was shown a number of similar queries and managed to find the answer. I have to say it's not intuitive! I have an apple TV original version. Apparently I had the ATV on streaming and not syncing. Streaming does not allow you to stream a rental from your computer whereas you can sync and transfer the rental from the computer!

Cant watch a Rented and downloaded a movie from Itunes on airplane
I recented read that I could rent and download a movie to my IPAD for viewing later. I did this and planned to watch on my international flight. When I tried to watch the movie Itunes wanted to connect over the internet 1st, since I had no internet on the plane I was not able to view my rented movie. Was there something I did wrong or do you have to have a wifi connection to select your downloaded movie from the Itunes library for viewing?
You do not need Internet access to watch on rental movie on the iPad if you are offline. Are you certain that the movie completely downloaded?
Assuming that the movie downloads completely to the iPad you do not need a WiFi connection to watch it. -
I am unable to apply my downloaded update. When I try to apply it and restart firefox, it still says 'apply downloaded update now...'. Why can't I apply this update and what do I do about it?

I only have CC installed on this one machine, not even my secondary machine like is permitted. it seems odd that I'm asked to re-accept the Licence Agreement as often as I am. If I had to guess, it's almost every week, if not multiple times some weeks, that all the software will decide I should have to view the licence agreement.
Edit: I've never had any noticeable "errors" activating or anything like that. I just get asked to do it quite frequently.
This activation screen isn't too annoying (it involves clicking one single button), but like I stated earlier, if I'm trying to launch the software by double-clicking on a PSD, AI, PPROJ, AEP, etc... that file will fail to open.
I feel like that's probably not really a bug, but it is frustrating, since I did launch the application with the intent to edit that specific file I tried to open.
Again, something that you guys may consider working on.
Another annoyance is that: agreeing to the licence agreement is a per-application task, so if I see that Licence Agreement dialogue window by opening Photoshop (for example), I know that every other piece of software I have in the suite (Illustrator, Premiere, After Effects, Audition) will be showing me that screen on it's next launch. Probably deliberate for legal purposes that I can't just agree once for the whole suite, but heck, it would save me a lot of minor headaches if it was a unified agreement. -
I am suddenly unable to update or download apps on my iphone 3G. It says "the download will be available after you log in to itunes from your computer." I never had to do that before. Even when I do log in from the computer, the download still doesn't work. So what's going on? Why would I need to go the computer to download an app to my phone? That defeats the whole purpose of having the phone, which is to do stuff when you are not at the computer!@!@ Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I am running Photoshop CC 2014 on iMac OS X and have recently had to reinstall the OS following upgrade to an SSD. I cannot update Photoshop as it says it is unable to extract the downloaded files (U44M1/2010). Should I reinstall Photoshop and Bridge from scratch or is there an easier way?@@ !
Sounds like you transferred programs from another drive? This isn't a very good way to do it. Yes, re-install the Adobe apps.

Attempting to update Bridge CC and Photoshop CC 2014 from the Creative Cloud program generates error "Unable to extract the downloaded files. Press Retry to download again.(U44M1I210). I am running Windows 7. Previous traffic on this topic has not helped my situation.
Please clean AAM cache By deleting following folder contents:
For Mac:
· /Volumes/%Volume Name%/Users/%Username%/Library/Application Support/Adobe/AAMUpdater/1.0
For Win:
· C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Adobe\AAMUpdater\1.0
Then try running Updates.
