Unable to replicate a datasource in BID

i am unable to replicate a datasource in BID.
getting below error:
This DataSource Is Not Available in BW Yet.
Do You Want to Generate This DataSource?
note:
this DS already operational in BI. it has been loaded multiple times also.

sry its not replicate .
i am trying to do generate it again in BID. from source system->right click ->additional functions -> view database tables -> generate
reason: because the source side table column size is changed.

CR for Enterprise 4.0: Unable to retrieve the datasource configuration

Hello Experts, I have the following issue with CR for Enterprise: I can successfully connect to our BI server, but when I select a universe I would like to build a report on, I receive the following error message about the validity of my data source: "Unable to retrieve the datasource configuration: com.crystaldecisions.thirdparty.org.omg.CORBA.UNKNOWN minor code: 0x0 completed: No". The universe I am trying to connect to is based on a relational connection and was built using the IDT 4.0 SP 1.

Well that is very strange! Is Crystal Reports for Enterprise installed on the server machine or on the local workstation?
If we are using Crystal Reports for Enterprise which is installed on a sperate workstation, try installing it on the server machine and then try to connect to universe.

Unable to replicate reservation to DHCP failover cluster partner node

Hello.
After reading that whilst DHCP address leases are replicated automatically to DHCP failover cluster partner nodes, and that reservations aren't, I followed steps to right-click the scope from the server which features the specified reservation, and select
'Replicate Scope'. The status window detailing the progression of associated tasks shows that replication of reservations to my other node partner, failed. The error code returned was 20022, which states that the specified IP address is currently taken by
another client.
Why is this occurring? The other node I am trying to replicate to, is within the DHCP failover cluster, and so should be aware that the reservation I am trying to replicate is linked to the same device? Why am I unable to replicate the reservations?
Any help would be appreciated.

Based on my research,
DHCP Failover automatically synchronizes leases between failover partners in Windows server 2012 and Windows Server 2012 R2. However, configuration changes on one server in the failover relationship do not automatically get replicated
to the partner, you need to manually replicate by choosing the “Replicate Scope…”
or “Replicate Relationship…” option in DHCP Server.
In addition, for DHCP failover to function correctly, time must be kept synchronized between the two servers in a failover relationship. Please check if the time is synchronized between the two servers.
Besides, you can check the event log to see if any other related information exists.

i think its a dump...
For each RF user the following setting under Help has to be changed :
Help -> Settings. F1 Help must be set to "In Modal Dialog Box" not "In Performance Assistant".
It is this performance Assistant that uses some controls that are not supported by SAPConsole.

Unable to connect to datasource:(database not running)

I was running this example Car Application.
I downloaded SQL Studio and wanted to check if the db tables are created or not.
Tried to open through SQL studio but got the following exception as a pop-up:

I believe my J2EE engine is running fine with all the three boxes in green.

To be honest, I didnt understand what u meant.Iam a beginner trying to learn N/W though Iam in J2EE for a long while.
Here is what I have done so far:
Installled WAS with developer studio ran this Car rental application.While doing this I installed SQL studio to check if the tables r created or not.
I dont have any back end database like oracle or SQL server installed.The car application example documentation doesnt say so.
This is what I have given in persistant.xml:
Datasource Name:CAR_RENTAL_POOL
Database Vendor: SAPDB
I dont have visual admin installed.
Please let me know if this makes any sense.
And also there is another problem with car reservation application:
The application seems to running fine except withe the saving part:
when I tried to add a car reservation, there is no response , it's not getting added to the DB.There are no error messages on screen. The screen is same before and after.
Any help would be greatly greatly appreciated.

Unable to get the dataSources while creating the persistent stores.

Hi, While I am trying to create a persistent store (JDBC Store) I am unable to see the already created DataSources in the dropdown menu. I also tried creating new DataSource from Persistent Store creating screen but still could not see.
Following steps followed while creating DataSource.
Fill in the values for
Name, E.g.: JD-JDBC-Store.
JNDI Name – jdbc/JobDispatcherDS.
DatabaseType – Oracle
Database Driver - Retain the default selection
Click on ‘Next’
Click on ‘Next’
Fill in values for:
Database Name – SID of the Database
Host Name – The hostname/IP on which the Database is running
Port – DB Port
Database User Name - JOBUSER.
Password – JOBUSER
Click on ‘Next’
Click on ‘Test Configuration’ to ensure the correctness of the values. Got a success message on the screen.
Click on ‘Next’
Select your target server. E.g.: AdminServer
Click on ‘Finish’
Following steps while creating the Persistent Store
Clicked on New button. Select ‘Create New JDBC Store’ Option
Fill in the values.
name – E.g.: JD-JDBC-Store
Target server - admin Server.
data source - not able to get any to select from the DropDown.

I am assuming your server is on Windows :
For Eg.
My SID is PRD and system number 02 and hostname prdserver then command should be execute like :
E:\usr\sap\PRD\DVEBMGS02\exe>jcmon pf=E:\usr\sap\PRD\SYS\profile\PRD_DVEBMGS02_prdserver
Rest all are same :
In JControl Monitor Program - Main Menu :
Select : 20 : Local Administration Menu
And check the status of server0 process it shoud be up and running .

How to create a background job to replicate the datasource from R3 to BW?

I always got error msg when use the RSA1 to do the relicate from R3. Did anybody can tell me how to do it in background? Thank you!

Try this:
1) Go to tcode SE38 - ABAP Editor
2) Enter ABAP program name RSDS_REPL_RESET
3) Click on Execute
4) In the Selection-Screen, enter the source system to replicate from, or * if you want to replicate from all source systems.
5) If you just want to replicate BW 3.5 DataSource, enter ISFS as the Preferred Type. Or, if your preference is for BW 7.x DataSources, etner RSDS as the Preferred Type. If there is no preference, leave the field blank and it will replicate both types.
6) Go to the menu option Program > Execute in Background

Unable to find 0CB_WT_TEXT Datasource in R/3 source system.

Just place the cursor on SAP folder and press the + button.
Then once done try to search the datasource as mentioned above.If it is still not available check in BW system as well and not in R/3..It is shown as BI content as

Cannot replicate a datasource in BW, System asks for deletion

Hi All,
When I ask for "Replicate Datasources" in our BW system after an upgrade of R/3, it displays the "Deletion of Datasources" window specifying if we would want to delete the datasource since it cannot be replicated.
In what circumstances, do we get this message ?
Is that because BW is seeing new datasources in R/3 which has not been activated ? Then, why would the BW see the new datasources even if they are not active.
Is it safe to say YES to delete all the datasources that cannot be replicated ?

Hi Alain,
as explained in the OSS Note 589361 'Deleting DataSources in BW during replication',
"DataSources that cannot be found (perhaps only temporarily) when a certain component is being replicated are considered obsolete and are deleted...".
So, probably your upgrade process in R/3 deleted some datasource in your source system (no longer in use or no more supported or no more active and available only in D version...).
Try to verify that every datasource used by you is still in RSA6 in R/3...then click YES, I think with no problem...

Event iD 1864: repadmin /showrepl is OK but unable to replicate directory partitions

hi all, I have two Domain Controllers (w2008 core, running W2008 functional level) in a child domain called test.domain.com and the parent domain is domain.com. About 3 weeks ago, I begin receiving the following error (see below for full error message) on Directory partitions: CN=Configuration,DC=domain,DC=com;, CN=Schema,CN=Configuration,DC=domain,DC=com,DC=ForestDnsZones,DC=domain,DC=com,DC=domain,DC=com
When I run repadmin /showrepl on both domain controllers in test.domain.com, it checks back clean. I'm at a lost on why its not able to replicate even though repadmin /showrepl is good...any ideas where I can look to resolve this issue?

Directory servers that do not replicate in a timely manner may encounter errors. They may miss password changes and be unable to authenticate. A DC that has not replicated in a tombstone lifetime may have missed the deletion of some objects, and may be automatically blocked from future replication until it is reconciled.
To identify the directory servers by name, use the dcdiag.exe tool.
You can also use the support tool repadmin.exe to display the replication latencies of the directory servers.   The command is "repadmin /showvector /latency <partition-dn>".
