Unable to request test.fmx after installing Forms 10.1.2.0.2

I've just installed Developer Suite 10.1.2.0.2 on Windows platform, then I
1) started the OC4J instance
2) called the test.fmx
http://<localhost-IP>:8889/forms/frmservlet?form=test.fmx
Firefox browser gives me the following error message
"Error instantiating web-application"
No application named 'forms' found in the server.
Does anyone have any idea what's wrong?
My hunch is that not even the Forms servlet is starting up.

the "90" was removed from the file names and virtual paths in 10.1.2. Try the URL as follows:
http://server.domain:port/forms/frmservlet

Forms 11g installation sets its environment, and now forms 6i points to the wrong tnsnames.ora.
The first thing you can try is copying tnsnames.ora from forms 6i Home to forms 11g Home (after saving this one, if necessary).

Unable to update my apps after installing iOS 6.1

After Updating iTunes to the latest SW, I connected my iPod Touch 3G to the computer then checked iTunes for any app updates, found those that could not be updated to the iPod alone - downloaded them - when complete iTunes synced to my iPod. Worked fine for me.
I have not installed iOS 5.0.1 - to many problems!!

I have iDS10g R2 recently I have installed Form/report Services(AS) 10g R2 but when I try to open a default/test page on one PC is raise Java exception
Java.lang.classnotFoundexception Oracle.forms.engine.main
and on Second PC browser close automatically without any exception(with Forms/Report Services 10gR2 I have Jinitiator1.3.1.22, someone plz help me.

Hi,
the message means that it acclot access frmall.jar, containing the Forms client Java files. Did you perform a fresh install and the run the default demo form ?

Unable to sync iPhone 4 after installing iTunes 10.1 upgrade

I have a 'new' Dell computer running Windows 7.
Have synced my iPhone 4 to the computer numerous times.
Was prompted today to install the new upgrade to iTunes 10.1.
After installing that upgrade, I am no longer able to access my iPhone from iTunes. I get the message "device driver software was not successfully installed."
I have followed all of the help on the web site, and nothing helps. iTunes cannot access my wife's iPhone 3GS either.

I'm having the same problem - MacBook Pro running 10.6.5. As soon as I updated itunes to 10.1 it stopped seeing my iPhone. I can see it there through System Profiler - so I know the hardware is working. But iTunes doesn't see it anymore.

Unable to connect to network after Installing Oracle VM server 2.2.1

Dear All,
I have downloaded Oracle VM Server 2.2.1 from Oracle E-Delivery Site.
I installed it on one server. But after installing it I am not able to connect to the network.
When I am trying to ping other servers, it says Destination Host Unreachable.
Do I need to install something for NIC like eth0 or xenbr0... or network connectivity?
Can anyone have soluiton of this problem?

Unable to browse network shares after installing Time Capsule

After installing my time capsule I am no longer able to browse the other computers on my network. I can ping them just fine but when I try to see them under "shared" or to brows to the ip address, it doesn't display the other computers. It sees the Time capsule just fine. The other computers are hooked up to the time capsule as well. One Computer is windows XP based and the other is Windows Vista. When I boot into my Windows XP (via boot camp) the other computers show up just fine and I'm able to touch the shared files. Its just the mac side that is not seeing them. They are all connected via ethernet cable connection. I appreciate any help to solving this. Thanks.

Make sure that the shares are unmounted before you sleep and see if it makes a difference. Not that it's a fix, just curious on how it reacts to see what could be going on.
Another good piece of information to get is to open Terminal and do a 'df'. See if you have any volumes mounted. They'll look like //Username@IP/Share and mounted to /Volumes/Sharename or /Volumes/Sharename-XX.
Try a 'sudo umount /Volumes/Sharename' and see if it gives you any errors back or dismounts it cleanly.

Unable to access media card after install of 10 software update

After installing the software 10 update, i'm not able to access the media card from the phone or when plugged in to the laptop. from the phone settings menu, i cant choose to save any file into the media card - its grayed out. Everything was working fine until I installed the update. Is this a common problem? did the update wipe out all the media card contents?

Have you tried removing the media card and re-inserting it?

Cannot open/find libaries in Forms6i, after installing Forms 10g.

I just struggled to install Oracle Developer Suite 10g PS3 (10.1.2.3.0) on windows vista SP2.
As I also have an Oracle RDBMS 10.2.0.3.0 and Oracle Developer 6i installed on ym notebook, I have everything in different ORACLE_HOMEs.
Now, i just made a short try to migrate one of my small forms applications from 6i to 10g.
Now, I cannot run it in Forms6i anymore, even though I have different homes and even different folders (made a copy for 10g). (In fact it always tells me, it cannot find the plls) Why on earth is that??
As our customer still has 6i, it has to work! Other applications still work...

Yes, it is only one library which causes me problems and it has attached libraries.
After having recompiled all files (pll, olb and fmb) I could open all files, except the one causing problems. I open it, using the explorer and NOT Forms Builder. So I could at least reattach alls attached libraries (without path), recompile it.
This didn't help, but the error message suddenly showed another pll it couldn't find.
I start my application with a shortcut on the desktop.
So i reattached all libraries to the "start-form" and also recomplied it. Still no success.
BUT then i put all recomplied plx in the Folder, where all the fmx are, and now it works.
I never had to do this before and don't really understand why, because the path where all libraries are, is also in the registry-key FORMS60_PATH, but nevertheless it works :-)

Unable to PING VM Server after Install

Hi Guys
I am a typical WIndows guys, and new to Oracle /Linux etc.
However I am trying to setup a VM server, and finally got my head around the setup part of it, i.e the pieces to make the puzzle and how they all fit.
So I have just installed a fresh install of VM Server on raw iron ( blank server), and the installation has completed and said it was sucessful, however I set up my IP , DNS, host name etc manually, but after the installation I am unable to ping the VM Server, nor can I ping any pc in the network that its connected to.
Does anyone have any suggestions? As I dont want to go ahead and try install a virtual Oracle Linux Enterprise edition on it, if I cant get the networking side of it to work yet.
Anybody have any tips, suggestions? Learning I should have done before attempting this lol.

I checked the anaconda log, and it said that in debugging it was ignoring the NIC's as it siad " unknown device driverless" so I have to assume it doesnt have the drivers for the network card, so have posted another post on how to install a kernal, so that I can build the drivers :S.

Elements 11 - unable to switch editing modes after installing

Hi, I have just installed Photoshop Elements 11 on a Mac OSX 10.6.8 and I am unable to switch editing modes (quick / guided / expert). In fact, none of the buttons on the top bar responds to my clicks. In addition, I am unable to quit the programme, instead, I have to force quit it each time.

I restarted my computer. Closed Bridge CS5 that was running in the background and then clicked on Bridge CS6 and the program opened. I decided to take a chance to see if this won't fix it and was elated when it worked. Don't ask my why, but it did the job!

Unable to access 2nd HD after installing new DVD drive...stumped

OK have a Mac Pro late 2009, superdrive was acting funny, errors burning DVD's, so I installed a Pioneer DVD I got from Macsales. As soon as I did that, I started getting a grey bar on boot up. Come to find out, the Western DIgital 3tb drive I installed (WD30EXEZ) that I partiioned with Disk Utilities for a Working drive for bootcamp was unreadable, from Lion with Paragon NTFS.. I have two of them, the 1st I set up with a couple OS X partitions and as HFS working disk.Seems to be working fine, I think? My bootcamp (Winblows 7) is on the 640 WD SSD that came with the Mac. Disk Utilities comes up with an error when I verify the NTFS partition but not the drive itself but I a unable to repair it, Winblows 7 sees the drive but can't access it.So I am trying to figure out what went wrong and how to repair the file system. My Mac Pro was purchased Mar 2010 and was nto the primary box, I opted to use my Dell before I gave it to my son.
On to the next problem
I pulled the drive out and hooked it to my sons (Dell) and running testdisk on it via Hirens Boot CD.
Now when I boot the Mac I get the grey bar on the boot which tells me something else is wrong...

Where is Windows 7?
Do you have Paragon latest? never had trouble.
3TB drives with GPT and used as data for Windows? The term "boot camp" means little or too many different things. Drivers, Windows on Mac, but not much else.
I would never repair NTFS with Disk Utility unless Paragon endorses such action.
3TB Greens do seem to give a number of Mac Pro owners grief. Shouldn't but then who knows except WD and Apple may or may not be talking and sharing.
I'd format the drive in Windows, or format the NTFS part. I do use GPT and NTFS for Windows data drives w/ no problem.
WD makes a 640GB SSD? news to me. Can't be. Would check Saturday though. And Apple over-states size/capacity especially when it comes to SSDs. So Apple OEM'd SSD with WDC lable, right? or wrong?
SSDs are an issue unto themselves lately with SATA3 models / firimware.
Boot from Windows.
Pull drives and leave just the one(s) for Windows; or, the one(s) used by OS X - would be a start.
I would only use WD Lifeguard on the drive... whether on your Mac or the Dell.
That is the best this late.

I have the iphone 4S. Ever since I installed the iOS 7.0.2 update, I have been unable to open my Itunes app. It immediately quits on launch. Anyone else experiencing this problem and/or know how to fix it?

I have a licensed version of Java Studio Creator. Yesterday, I downloaded and installed the Multilanguage version of Java Studio Creator, after uninstalling the old one. Now, every time I try to update JSC, it give an error: unable to conatact update center and the following exception is thrown:

This is on the update center side of things. Even if you were to get a response (instead of an error) the response would be an empty update catalog (no updates available). This problem will be resolved before any updates are available, so don't worry about missing updates.
