Unable to resize popout videos on youtube.

Ever sence the most recent update to Firefox I can no longer change the size of popout videos on youtube using Firefox. where as other browsers still can. They are locked at what ever size the current popout window is at. The drag anchor shows up when mousing over the edge of the window but it refuses to resize.

OK first off Firefox says it's up to date with 13.0.1 not sure how to go about getting it to update if it says there isn't one. Flash is current build.

Running into the same issue... Did anyone come up with a resolution? I even entered "airplane mode" and then manually re-enabled wifi only (no 3g what so ever) connected to the internet via email and safari, and still running into the same issue... HD is grayed out.

So, I created a simple 8 minute slideshow using Photoshop and then exported it into Premiere. I uploaded the video from Premiere directly onto Youtube but only 1:04 of the video is uploading to Youtube. Any advice?

The WAB (Work Area Bar) has tripped up many, and is a common issue, when the Timeline output is truncated.
Here is a look at the WAB (from PrE 4.0, but works the same in later versions):
The WAB is a great tool, when one wishes to limit the Export, or perhaps the area of the Timeline that Renders. However, many do not even notice it, and fewer understand how it works, or how to use it, and it gets in their way, if something is not set properly.

I am unable to view any videos on Youtube, my flash player is up to date.

This morning it was fine, now I am not able to view any video's on Youtube, I followed the information on your blog under the flash player options and it did not work.

Try clearing the Cache in Firefox.
Tools-> Clear Recent History -> [v] Cache
or
Tools->Options->Advanced->Network -> Offline storage -> [Clear Now]
Youtube may have made some changes recently. Clear the Youtube cookie and refresh page if above does not do it.

Unable to upload video to YouTube

I have tried twice to upload a video to YouTube. It is a short video, 7 min 33 sec. I get the error, "Failed (unable to convert video file)". I recently upgraded to Mavericks & iMovie 11 and this is the first time trying to upload since the upgrade. Any suggestons?

Although I believe you when you say it worked after removing tags, I don't think there is a solid cause and effect. The web is loaded with complaints of the iMovie to YouTube upload. It is simply NOT stable. I used iMovie '11 with Mountain Lion and now use the new iMovie 10 with Mavericks. Yes, I said iMovie 10. Apple named it that way. Not me. The iMovie to YouTube upload option is unreliable. We all want to try to narrow it down to a font or a clip or a photo or a title or the duration or the HD resolution etc... In fact, we are wasting our time until Apple works out these issues. I made 20 upload atttempts today. All using an approx 4 minute clip. Trust me. I got "Failed (unable to convert video file)" several times and each time worked to focus on the problem. Nothing was logical. I would add a single photo to a project that had previously worked and it would bomb. I would then delete that photo and it would still fail.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
* Use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe mode]] start window to disable all extensions.
* Close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")
In Firefox 4 you can use one of these to start in [[Safe mode]]:

I am unable to get videos on Youtube to operate from Firefox. They do work from Internet Explorer. Have tried youtube from Firefox in Safe Mode - SAME PROBLEM!!

Until now I've had no problem getting Youtube videos to show from Firefox. But now I've been unable to watch any videos (or audios) from the Youtube site when browsing in Firefox. When I go Internet Explorer and bring up Youtube the videos/audios play just fine. I've tried doing this under Safe Mode with the same result. No Youtube pictures from the Firefox browser.
I like Firefox but will revert to IE if I have to.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":

Unable to download or run any videos from Youtube

Unable to download or run any videos from YouTube. I can open the YouTube website, but when I select any videos, even ones I've posted myself in the past, from another computer, the video window opens and shows the "whirling circle" display that indicates it's trying to download, but nothing else happens. Meanwhile on the rest of the website window, other flash data continues to display and update.
This is not restricted to Firefox; same thing happens with any browser I attempt to use. Could be windows 7 related, but I don't know what other settings to check.

Try to disable the restrictions and reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again.
Are you using Wi-Fi? If yes, check your security software settings as well:

Unable to upload entire video clip to Youtube from Premiere Elements 10, "Share" feature

I just bought Premiere Elements 10 and plan to upload video to Youtube directly from Premiere Elements 10 "Share" feature. However it always uploaded about 10 to 20 seconds of my 2 minutes video only. Then it only uploded about 20 seconds video to Youtobe successfully but not the entire video clip which is about 2 minutes. Is there anyone face the same problem like me? I am unable to watch videos on youtube, it stopped last night. How do I fix this?

We had a storm last night and the power went out for a few seconds. After I started the computer, I tried to watch some videos on Youtube. I have been watching them all the time, but since the power went out I am not able to. It seems to be just on youtube. What do I need to do to correct so that I will be able to view videos on that site?

I have been having the same problem since a browser update a couple of weeks ago. I have tried uninstalling firefox and re-installing it. I have tried updating flash player, reinstalling flash player, re-re-reupdating firefox, even tried to find an alternative flash player (which turned out to simply be another adobe player with a different icon and filename). I have tried clearing cache and cookies.
I can watch videos from any website anywhere except videos hosted on youtube. I know this is not a youtube problem; because, I have not experienced this problem with any other browser.
Using Win7 with intel i5 processor and 6Gb RAM.

I am unable to play 1080 p videos on Youtube though 780 p videos are getting played nicely. Earlier I used to play 1080 p videos also but now it stopped after installing latest firefox update. But from archives I installed 28.0 version but still the same problem persists.
Also website surfing is not smooth its choppy and website halts while scrolling or browser gets hang while surfing.
Please suggest me what can I do. I have updated graphics drivers and everything.

You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

You need close and restart Firefox after toggling this setting.

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you turn on the computer, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a Fusion Drive or a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually login automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

UPDATE - What does it take to get Firefox 28 to play videos on YouTube?

Searching support for two nights has led me to an answer because the help is outdated. I have been unable to find support for Firefox 28.
YouTube videos will not play using Firefox on my new desktop computer. I downloaded Flash player (version 12 something) using Firefox 28 after YouTube told me I needed it. After doing that, videos would play for a few seconds, then a message would appear telling the video would not play with a "Learn More" link. The help was too vague to help.
I have Windows 7 Home Professional, security software, etc.
I have uninstalled the Flash plugin until I get a better handle of what I need to know to better troubleshoot this. YouTube videos will play when I use IE 11 without downloading a plugin.

While I still have Firefox 28 installed, I have NOT re-installed Flash plugin. And guess what, videos on YouTube play just fine, for now, in Firefox. They also play well in my other browsers, too.
If I do ever download and install Flash plugin again, I will refer to the the replies I have received here.

if Im not mistaken its the same as the other versions...you shoot the video, go to the video and press the small arrow with box around it in the left corner and it will say send to youtube...you will then be prompted with instructions...if it says unable to send to youtube make sure your email address is verified in your youtube account...you will have to do this from the actual youtube site...i had this problem for months before i realized i just had to verify my email address. Hope this helps...
