Unable to restore, gives me an error message!

My ipod has been on the fritz for well over 3 weeks now. Its a click wheel ipod, w/ the black and white screen. I've been ignoring the problem, and now i have a big problem.
At first my ipod was reading the very low battery screen, so i left it charging, and it took almost the whole day to be charged.
Now, all of my files on my ipod are gone, my music library has dissapeared. My ipod is also not recognized as "Natalia's Ipod" in itunes, I forced it into Disc Mode, and now it is just shown as "IPOD". I can see it in windows though.
From the help pages, I inferred that I was supposed to restore my ipod, but when I try I get this message, "there was a problem downloading the ipod software for the ipod "iPod". The requested resource was not found."
I'm not even sure if this is an ipod, itunes, or my actual computer malfuction.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

hmmmmm. although you aren't getting the message described in the following document, try the same technique. (i've seen the Toshiba connection difficulties manifest as the error message you're actually getting.)

I have this same problem, i though it was my internet (super slow) it would take 3 HOURS!! to download the update and then after all the waiting, it would say "network connection timed out" Ive restarted it and checked my settings over and over but it still says "timed out" wat should I do?!?

Problem recovering new iPhone 4, Stuck on "Preparing iphone for restore", then giving an error message

I recently bought an iPhone 4, and it worked just fine, until I tried to sync it with iTunes. Whenever I would try to sync it, it would stall somewhere in the process, and then an error message would come up eventually. It would say something along the lines of "Process timed out, Internal Harware error" or somthing like that, there were several error messages.
So then I tried to restore the phone. I did it through iTunes, and eventually the process stalled on the "Preparing iPhone for restore" part, and then it would give me an error message (4013). My phone is stuck on the connect to itunes screen. When I do connect it to iTunes it says that the phone is in recorvery mode and that and needs to be restored. So again, I try to restore it and it gets stalled in the "Preparing iPhone for restore" part. I have also recieved the 2005 error code. I have tried to fix it by unplugging all other USB's, using a different USB port, disabling firewalls ect.. I have the newest version of iTunes, and my phone is running 7.0.3 (Can't update now that the restore is necessary, and I couldn't update anyways because the same problem I had syncing it occured when I tried to update.) I have Windows XP.

Error 1 is a baseband error. If you have Warranty or AppleCare Coverage take iPhone to Apple for resolution of this problem. If no coverage then search the Web for Error 1. Users have reported some success with this Error 1.

I thought it may be related to spaces in the path in which the script was called from. I tried having the ODBC command script in another directory but the same thing happens. It will give me the "CONFIGSYSDSN: Unable to create a data source for the 'Oracle in OraClient10g_home1' driver: Could not load the setup or translator library with error code -2147467259". As soon as the script is done running I can manually double click the script and it adds the DSN fine.

Unable to restore Ipad. Unknown error occured (8)

Tried to install 7.1.2 upgrade on Ipad. Upgrade would not complete. Ipad would shut down frequently while trying to use after failed upgrade. Connected it to ITunes where it tried to install upgrade. After several attempts message stated I would have to restore. While trying to restore it fails once it gets to verifying firmware. Error message is "Unable to restore Ipad. Unknown error occurred (8). I've already made sure all updates on PC are complete. Shut down and restarted both Ipad and PC. Even called Apple Support where I was instructed to uninstall ITunes and components. Tried to restore again with same problem.

Disconnect the iPad from your Mac.
Open the Finder.
From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following:
/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/Networkinterfaces.plist
Click Go then move the Networkinterfaces.plist file to the Trash.
Restart your Mac. Connect the iPad then launch iTunes.

I've got the same issue and it affects all my adobe software. You are not alone as I have seen several postings looking for the answer to this help request.

I have tried unistalling the current version I had which was 10.6.3, defragging and running a security scan. Now, the highest version I can get is 10.4.1. for some reason I cannot dowload itunes 10.5 or higher as it gives me the same message which is what I need to connect and update my iphone. Anyone facing the same issue or can point me in the right direction?

It's also possible that newer iPhone updates want an OS higher than Tiger. Post the specs of your computer and we can see if an OS upgrade is possible. There are a large number of G4 variants with different capabilities, so giving us something more than just "G4" will get you help faster.
