Unable to restore iOS 7.0.4 in a ipad with 3004 and 3194 Error

Hi
I've been trying to restore my ipad to iOS 7.0.4 for 3 days (I really mean it) but I just get Error 3004 or 3194 continuely.
These are things I have tried :
1 - Check the windows host file ( put the gs.apple.com , remove it , test with different IPs , blank it , even delete it and etc .. )
2 - Test with different itunes versions
3 - Test with different computers
4 - Test with different internet providers
5 - Test with Proxy , VPN etc.
6 - Check, change and test with different options in internet options.
7 - I'm sure about my internet connectivity.
8 - Test all the above tests in both normal and DFU mode.
but I still get the same error again and again . I actually open gs.apple.com in the browser with no problem and fast.
the error appears when I choose the iOS ( with shift + click on the restore button ) and after extracting section.
Thanks .

Most of the time the iphone cannot reach any network and when it can, there is no data transfer, I can only make calls and sms.

    Hello, gordy69.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
I see you came from the most relevant article in regard to not being able to restore your iOS device.  I would take a look at the section I highlighted below.  Make sure to try the steps outlined in that section.
    Check for hardware issues
Try to restore your iOS device two more times while connected with a cable, computer, and network you know are good. Also, confirm your security software and settings are allowing communication between your device and update servers. If you still see the alert when you update or restore, contact Apple support.

  • Unable to load IOS 7.0.2 on my IPAD 4

I am not able to load the latest IOS 7.0.2 on my IPAD.  it either can not connect or can not load. any suggestions

These forums are for technical support, so what you'll see are mostly people who are having problems. The many people who, like me, are having no problems have little reason to be posting in a technical support forum. Sorry you're having difficulties, and perhaps someone can help you sort out your mail problem in your own thread, but your issues are by no means universal, or even the majority.
That said, it certainly won't hurt the OP to wait a bit longer for another update or two.
    Regards.

  • IPad 3 with iOS 6 fails to connect to WiFi with WPA2 and AES - any solutions available?

    Hello *,
after upgrading my iPad 3 to iOS 6 it constantly fails to connect to WiFi with WPA2 and AES - hidden or broadcasted SSID - at home and at work because the device does not accept the WPA2 password. This is also the case for my iPhone 4S but both devices did work with WiFi (WPA2 / AES) perfectly with previously installed iOS 5.1.1.
I tried to downgrade to iOS 5.1.1 but it seems to be no longer possible to downgrade for both iPad 3 and iPhone 4S as the certification and signage window for iOS 5.1.1 maybe has been closed by Apple.
Does anyone know about a possible solution to connect to WiFi with WPA2 and AES with iPad 3 / iPhone 4S and iOS 6 upgrade?
Thank you very much for any help and advise.
    Best regards from Germany
    Matthias

iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points  http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4199
    Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

  • HT1766 When I was trying to backup my iPad 1 onto iTunes on my PC before I updated to the newest version of IOS, I synced my iPad with iTunes and clicked "Back Up Now" it said "iTunes could not back up the iPad because the back up session failed." what do

I tried it several more times afterwards and it said the same thing. Previously when I was updating my iPod touch to the latest version of IOS I made the mistake of not backing it up before, and lost all my music, books, and apps I had on there, etc. I didn't want to make that same mistake with my iPad, but like I said previously; it's not even letting me back it up, therefore I'm not going to update yet so I don't lose all my data, but if I don't update I can't update a lot of apps on my iPad, and such and overall my iPad just won't be as functional until I update it. So bottom-line, why isn't my iPad backing up, and what can I do to make it back up sucessfuly? Thanks in advance. :)

There are a couple of things that you can try.
    1. Quit iTunes, restart or reboot your iPad, restart your computer and then try again.
    2. Delete any old backups that you have in iTunes and then try again.
Try no. 1 and see what happens.

  • My iphone froze while syncing an update. I got it running by restoring it but photos gone! I synced with computer and they did not come back.

my iphone 4 froze while syncing an update.  i got it running by restoring it to original settings.  i synced with computer but pictures wont come back.  How do  I get them?

When the restore finished, did you "Set up as new phone" or "Restore from backup?"
    When was your last backup?

  • Unable to restore iOS 4.2.1 profile on iOS 5

Bought the new iPhone 4S (iOS 5) to replace my iPhone 3G (iOS 4.2.1 - latest possible version).
I'm getting an error when setting up the iPhone 4S and asking it to restore from my iPhone 3G pofile. Same thing happens if I try to  trying to restore the iOS 4.2.1 profile directly to the iOS 5 device. Everything runs smoothly but in the end I get an error.
I would really hate to loose 3 years of call and SMS history, just because I'm a upgrading.
I've even tried just exchange the SMS db file within the backup (taking the one from 4.2.1 and overwriting the one in the iOS 5 backup) but that just gives me an error when restoring. Telling me that the backup is invalid.
I assume that the format of the SMS db file has changed. And I also assume that the problem would be solvd if I was able to upgrade 4.2.1 to 4.3 etc.
Does anyone know a way around this?
    TIA
    Jens

    Hello,
The culprit was Kaspersky Internet Security 2011 (KIS 2011). I disabled it.
Then, the installation of iOS 4.2 was smooth.

  • Unable to restore ios 5.1

Hi mates i am having issue while restoring .i was on ios 5.1 i got some issues missing reset option in general settings ipad restart frequently thats why i thought to restore my ipad 2 3g with itunes but it always fail with error -1 . can any body suggest me ho do i get rid of this . i hope some body must have the soltion

Well no, Apple does not force anyone to upgrade against their wish if they don't want to.  It is you and you alone who decided to upgdate your phone to iOS6 and if you didn't want to, then you could have stayed with iOS 5.1.1.
Unfortunately, now that you have updated your phone there is no way to go back.  Apple does not support downgrading and as you have found, you are getting error messages.
Perhaps in time, Apple might release a software update to fix small bugs as is often the case, but you can't go back to iOS 5.1.1 now that you have updated to iOS6.

  • I restored my iPod touch, but was unable to restore my data from a backup, so I synced it and now all of the data from my apps has gone, and so have in app purchases. Is there anything I can do to get them back?

Does anyone know if there's anything I can do to get my app data back? All levels completed on games have been erased, and I am unable to use in app purchases which I did purchase, such as the Mighty Eagle in Angry Birds. Thanks for your help

Go to the Device tab in iTunes' Preferences and se what the date iis of the backup(s).  Apple only retaines the latest backup unless you restor from a backup and that one is also kept.
