Unable to restore pre-ivy bios for Z68 GD65 (B3)
Hello, I unfortunately decided to upgrade my BIOS, but did not heed the "recommendation" of only using the P series bios for my motherboard with ivy bridge CPUs (I have an i5 2500K). I updated the bios to the newest that were on the page for the Z68 GD65 B3 Motherboard (for some reason it won't let me post external links, even to the MSI website...).
My computer boots and the OS works fine (as do games), even when overclocked. However, when I run prime95 or IBT I bluescreen within seconds (at clocks that previously could pass prime95 for hours with no errors); I have since realized that these bios introduce some issues with sandy bridge CPUs so I want to roll back to the latest non ivy bridge BIOS.
However, when I try to do so with the 22.8 BIOS and the MSI HQ usb flash utility, I get the "ROM file ROMID is not compatible with existing BIOS" error, and cannot roll back the bios. Is there any way to roll the bios back, or am I screwed?
My specs:
CPU: i5 2500K
MOBO: MSI Z68 GD65 (B3)
GPU: XFX 7950 DD
PSU: Seasonic X750 (62A 12v rail)
SSD: OCZ Vertex 4 256 GB
Cooler: Thermaltake Water 2.0 Pro
RAM: G skill ripjaws x 8 GB DDR3 1600
OS: Windows 7 professional 64 bit
OC: none on the CPU currently, GPU is OCed but not relevant
Any help would be appreciated.
Unfortunately the support for B3 boards isn't as well as it is for G3 boards. For your board there is even no beta for months while G3 boards have seen impressive progress. Z68-GD80 G3 for exaple turned into a Sandy and Ivy super oc board. For B3 I have only very little hope.

How did you flash this under dos and how did you "extarct" whatever is in there?
I just followed the guide information. Just unpacked everything & placed the unpacked BIOS file out of the unpacked BIOS folder & placed it on the USB stick. Typed the BIOS file name exactly as it shows when prompted, let it do it's thing. Just don't pull out the USB stick too early. You will end up with a bricked board. After install is over in DOS method, just double clicked on the unpacked driver package & it auto installed everything. -
I am using the latest bios from the msi website (v25.8) and have a 2600K. Ever since upgrading to the newer bioses with the new management engine, my overclocking potential has really gone down.
I ran at 4.6 Ghz stable before but now I am struggling with 4.3 GHz. I have tried to increase the voltage but that has very little impact on the stability.
So do you have any input on what bios revision would be the best for overclocking a SB on this motherboard?
I have seen post making it possible to downgrade the ME aswell?
Regards MIvy bios versions won't work well for oc with Sandy cpus on 6 series chipsets.

To be sure you can downgrade to the latest Sandy version 22.8 with the following method (it won't work any other way!):

Ok very confused sheep here... After testing all of the above, I decided to try and reflash bios v4.1, successful. I then oc'ed to 4.2ghz Auto Vcore and everything else except ram (timings/dram voltage in sig). Rebooted and it booted! I couldn't boot with the same exact settings with bios v4.0. I ran IBT and it passed! I'm going to stay with this config, energy saving ftw!

1T > 2T and My ram actually is running at 1T-9-9-9-26 and not 24 @ 1.376v and it's stable. It can run stable at 1T-10-10-10-31 2133MHz @ 1.498v but results are very negligible and more voltage = more heat. These Samsung ram are amazing! -
Unable to install Pre-Built VM for SOA 11gPS5 appliances
Hi,
I wanted to install Pre-Built VM for SOA+BPM latest release 11gPS5 on my system and downloaded the appliances from the below link:

But I could find one of the installer file size to be just 810 MB instead of 2GB. While extracting oel5u5-64bit-soabpm-11gr1-ps5-2-0-M.7z.001 using 7z, the extraction failed with as error message as below: "Data error in 'oel5u5-64bit-soabpm-11gr1-ps5-ps5-2-0-M.ova'. File is broken. "
Also I could see the processed file size as 14972 MB where as Compresses size as 13098 MB and file oel5u5-64bit-soabpm-11gr1-ps5-2-0-M.7z.007 is 810MB.
Are the expected file sizes for all the oel5u5-64bit-soabpm-11gr1-ps5-2-0-M.7z.001 to oel5u5-64bit-soabpm-11gr1-ps5-2-0-M.7z.007 is 2GB?
Upon running md5sum, every file gave 100% result size, but there is a mismatch in the hexcode as below:

I believe because you migrated from a Nokia to an iPhone you need to register the Bn phone number with your Apple ID so it can be used for iMessage. The Pn number seems to be the only one registered

I am unable to restore my iPhone 4 from recover mode for almost a week now.
I am unable to restore my iPhone 4. It is in recovery mode and shows the connect to itunes screen. Itunes gives me many error messages, one saying "The iPhone software update server could not be contacted. The network connection could not be established." and I do not understand if it is referring to my internet or a Network on the phone. My internet connection is fine and the phone does not have service on it since I havent gotten it to work for the last week. I have also tried multiple computers to try to restore it and recover images, but nothing has worked. Please help me!
