Unable to retrieve vendor list

Hi , I am working with vc 7.1.1 my nwdi server is the same server and my sld server is 7.1
I have configured vc to work with nwdi , but when I try to add a local dc to source control I get an error
unable to retrieve vendor list .
I have configued the name server on my sld server , but it does not help.
any ideas.

Hi Oren,
This kind of error usually points that there is a communication problem with the NWDI server.
That could be for one of the following reasons:
   1. Authentication problem (you do not have sufficient permissions)
   2. Name server is configured properly or not configured at all.
You may also refer to the defaultTrace file and search for the exact exception, which will help you better understand the source of the problem.

I checked the java support in Internet explorer and deleted the cookies and temporary files but he kept having the same issue.

Hi,
User needs to process payroll. In Time management for Time Entry it shows the following error instead of showing up EBB- approver.
Error message:

Could not retrieve vendor list

when i am trying to add a local DC to source control, i get the following error
"Could not retrieve vendor list".
Can anybody please give me hint, how i can solve this problem?

This usually indicates your configuration of the NWDI is not proper.

Unable to retrieve table list when trying to reverse

Hi,
I am trying to load source data which is coming from SQL Server into Oracle target database.
When am trying to create model and reverse the source tables coming frm SQL Server it's giving me an error saying Cannot retrieve tables list.
Do I need to configure anything?

Hi Experts,
can u resolve my issue,
i have 3 vendors,each vendor have 3 invoices,
i want to pay one particular invoice to vendor through APP.
while payment run (f110) in the parameter tab we can get vendors list, but i am unable to see vendor list,
How can i see the particular vendor invoices list.
can u resolve where did i done mistake,
is this process is in correct way.

Hi,
SAP doesn't allow you to reverse a document in FI if it was created subsequently from another module (in your case HR).
Why don't you use F-44 transaction code to manually clear the open vendor line item and offset it against the same clearing account?

ACS View sometimes cannot retrieve server list

Hi Guys,
Sometimes our ACS View cannot retrieve our list of integrated ACS servers and it posts this error:
ERROR - com.cisco.acsview.gui.actions.DataCollectionAction - Unable to retrieve the list of servers
com.cisco.acsview.viewapi.ViewUIException: Unable to retrieve the ACS Servers from DB
Do you guys have any idea on how to go about this issue? Or shall I just go on ahead and re-image it

ODI uses a standard JDBC methods for reverse engineering tables/columns.
It is possible that the method used in the Novell LDAP/JDBC driver is not following exactly the JDBC standard. What I would suggest is to try the "RKM Jython" provided in ODI, and eventually adapt it with the piece of code you have sent.

CrystalReportViewer Failed to Open the connection Unable to retrieve Object

I am getting the following Error on trying to view a report in the CMC and the Infoview.

I have recently re-installed Crystal Reports Server XI on a server after a disk failure. I had a backup of my CMS database. I reinstalled the Crystal Servwer without atttaching this database, however crystal did not create a new db so I attached my old one.
I have deleted all my old ODBC connections and recreated them with new names and then reconnected my reports in Crystal Reports XI using the "Set Datasource Location" option and the report works fine.But as soon as I try to view it after uploading it as an object onto the server, I get the above error.
Any help would be appreciated.

I am tagging into this unanswered question as well because I think I have a similar issue. In my case I have a report which runs correctly in Crystal Reports designer but when I move it to the scheduler it fails on a "Failed to connect" to the report. In have used "Set data location" to no avail. When I go to Admin Tools and look at the complete list of datasources for all my reports this particular datasource is listed twice. The group of reports under one of the datasources works correctly. The reports listed under the second datasource all fail. The two datsources are spelled exactly the same and when I sompare the database details for a successfull and a failing report using this datasource they are the same (in the console and in infoview).
I have also checked the ODBC connections on the Crystalserver and there is only one occureence.
Any ideas?

I suddenly am unable to retrieve my emails. I discussed this with my Internet provider, but still get an error message and can't access my emails. Any suggestions???

I am unable to retrieve my emails since yesterday. I called Time Warner Cable, my Internet provider, but they could not help me; they stated that the settings had changed, since they were upgrading. I adjusted the settings, but still get an error message:

          There may be a problem with the mail server or network. Verify the settings for account "Mail 1" or try again.
          The server returned the error: The connection to the server "smtp.roadrunner.com" on port 110 timed out.
I changed the server, and the port, as Time Warner Cable tech rep recommended, but to no avail. They recommended I delete my current email account and recreate it, but that I check with Apple first, because I might lose my contact list (and any email messages I'd previously saved!?). They suggested Apple might be able to tell me how to not lose the contacts, emails, profile.
Any help would be appreciated.

Unable to retrieve mail from server on my account

Hi there.
I am unable since june 26 to retrieve email from the server. I check information on my mail app and i see my mail list store on the server. I also tried to send me an email. But still unable to retrieve it. So i can send email, but enable to get them. I tried to reconstruct the database directly on the server without success.
OSX server 10.4
Does someone have an idea of what i could be?

Not a lot to go on is there? However if you use the GUI or the command line its a good idea to stop the mail service before attempting a Reconstruct. In my experience I don't think its ever worked using the GUI. Perhaps others have had more luck?

You'll get all previously read mail marked as unread but that's easily dealt with. As already stated it's difficult to give any clear advice as you are keeping things to yourself somewhat. The above link assumes its a standard Mail Service setup using the GUI alone.

This only just started after I updated to the new 3.1 software, which included an update to the Mobile Me control panel. I sure would love to fix it, because the error message pops up every 20 seconds. My phone is syncing with MM and with my PC.Also,i have been ok with retrieving my job bids from http://www.besteventstaff.com since i signed up.Which was over 2 weeks ago but today everything won't load.I contacted the admin at Best Event Staff and hey are telling me they haven't had any other complaints.Pls help me out here.Why has things stopped loading so suddenly?Thanks in advance

I have installed and configured DPS 6 but I cannot get it to proxy through to our back-end Sun DS 5.2 servers. The error message I get is:

Background:
I have installed the DPS 6 on both a Windows 2000 SP4 server and on a Windows XP SP2 computer from the Sun Java Identity Management Suite v5 package.
I installed DS Core Server, DS EE Command-line utilities, and DPS Core Server and I selected "Configure manually after installation".
On the Win XP computer the installation path was:

The error message indicates (not very clearly I agree) that DPS could handled the request but could not contact the appropriate Directory Server (no connection).
There are several possible reasons for this.
First is directory1.example.com a valid fully qualified domain name on your machine. I.e. does this name resolve into an IP address ?
Second the host:port used for directory1.example.com is 636 which is the default secure LDAP port. This implies that you probably wanted to have a secure connection between DPS and the Directory Servers.
Well, dpconf has no way to specify that the port is intended to be a secure one. And will always consider that the port specified is the regular LDAP port. (I opened a bug about this and I hope it'll be fixed in 6.1).
Secure connections and information must be configured afterward.

As for the jmxmp issue, it looks like the JDMK component on Windows was not installed. Did you install it with an Administrative account ?
Could you try to uninstall and re-install ?

Hi Raj,
This issue can be caused by many reasons, so please check the ULS log for detailed error message.
For SharePoint 2013, by default, ULS log is at C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\15\LOGS.

We are using SRM 5.0 Classic scenario, SAP Support Pack Upgrade is going on our testing client.
We have two issues.
Issue: 1
In this Support back Upgrade reason, the "Review Approved Vendor Listing is Missing" in Sources of Supply/Service Agent tab while creating the SC's.
Issue:2
I am unable to select any other plant in the same Company Code in the Basic data tab while creating the SC's

User XYZ is unable to select any of the plants in the same company code in our testing client , after the SAP Software upgrade.
For testing purpose, I tried to shop for user with the default company code as 1000 and plant 1000, after this I am trying to change the plant as 1001, but its still in plant 1000, but I am able to change the plant 1000 to 1001 while I shop for me.
For this happening only for few users.
Also I am able to shop for different plants in our production for same user without any issues.
I verified the user attributes, every things looks good.Please throw some lights on this issue.

Unreleased vendor list

Experts,
We are on SRM5.0 (Extclassic)
We have created vendor list in SRM for different product categories. For one of the product categories, the status of the vendor list is 'Unreleased'. Inspite of this the user is able to create SC for this product category using the vendor defined in this 'unreleased' vendor list.
How to ensure that user is unable to create SC for this category for which the vendor list is in unreleased state?
