Unable to return borrowed book to library

I have not had this problem before.  When trying to return book to library a note came up saying 'if this borrowed item was fulfilled with one or more other items, returning would also return all of these items.  I pushed return and message now says 'unable to return - Licence Server Communication Problem   E_BAD_LOAN_ID
I have been able to transfer another book from library since this message

I'm getting the same message. Would really appreciate a solution.

  • Unable to open e book from library

    You probably originally got the book with one Adobe account/ID, and are now trying to read it on a compter/device authorized withj a different account/ID.
    DRM books are locked to the Adobe account/ID used when they are first accessed.
    You must register ADE with the same Adobe account you used before.
    Best action to take depends on the exact reason you got into that situation.
    Solution for one reason copied below ~~~ if your reason is different you may need different actions but the basic principle is still the same.
    ~~~
    DRM books are locked to the Adobe account/ID used when they are first accessed.
    You must register ADE with the same Adobe account you used before.
    To do that, first deregister the new account (ctrl-shift-D, cmd shift-D on Mac), then register the old account.
    If that Adobe account is associated with an old email, you can change the associated email without changing the underlying basic Adobe account.
    Log on at the Adobe website (using your old email), go to My Adboe, then to My Adobe ID, and change the email to you new email.
    If you have created a new account/ID with your new email, then you will have to change that one first to something you never use;
    then you can change the email for the old account/ID.
  • Unable to return books early
    I'm using ADE 2.0 on Windows 7, and can't return books to the library early. I click on "return borrowed item" but nothing happens. Library shows that I still have the book checked out. I used to be able to do this with no problem, but I haven't checked out library books for my nook (first edition) in a long time.
    (1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):
    http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4459
    (2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
    (3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
    (4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
    (5) Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?
    How do I return a book to the library the is downloaded to my iBooks?
    What do you mean by 'return a book to the library' ? You can exit a book and go back to the bookshelf by tapping the book so that you get the menu bar at the top, and then tap the 'Library' button at the top left of that. To delete a book from the bookshelf tap the Edit button at the top of the bookshelf
  • Error message in returning a book using Digital Editions
    Recently I have been unable to return books through Digital Editions to the eLibrary when I've borrowed them.  I get the following error message:  E_BAD_LOAD_ID.  When I go into the eLibrary, it no longer shows the book as checked out to me, but in Digital Editions, the book remains in my library, even after it has expired.  Should I uninstall, and then reinstall?  If I do, will the books still in my library that I haven't read yet disappear from the library?
  • The server was unable to load the SSL provider library needed to log in
    Hello All,
    When I am trying to login to my default SQL 2008R2 SP2 instance in windows 2003 server via ssms, I am getting the below error
    A connection was successfully established with the server, but then an error occurred during the pre-login handshake. (provider: Shared Memory Provider, error: 0 - No process is on the other end of the pipe.) (.Net SqlClient Data Provider)
    When I looked into the error log and i could see lot of these messages.
    The server was unable to load the SSL provider library needed to log in; the connection has been closed. SSL is used to encrypt either the login sequence or all communications, depending on how the administrator has configured the server. See Books
    Online for information on this error message: 14 Not enough storage is available to complete this operation.
    Force protocol encryption is set to off.
    I am not sure what is the underlying problem. server's total RAM is 4 Gb and max_server_memory is set to 2 GB. CPU utilization is very normal at the time of issue.
    I restarted the SQL service and i am able to connect to the instance, but the issue is repeating and i need to find a permanent fix.
    Thanks
    I could also see the below in error log some time before i get the above alert
    Error: 701, Severity: 17, State: 123.
    There is insufficient system memory in resource pool 'internal' to run this query
    then after sometime flurry of alerts
  • Unable to create a book in iPhoto
    Hi,
    I am unable to create a book in iphoto.  I have created a number of books before, however, now when I choose a theme and click ‘create’ nothing seems to happen.  When I exit out of iPhoto and load it again, my book appears under the Albums heading, instead of the usual Projects heading.  Then when I click on the book, it just shows a blank screen (if I have created an empty book) or just the photos, rather than the album pages.
    iPhoto '11 (9.2.3), Mac OS X (10.6.8)
    Do the following to your problem library:
    Using iPhoto Library Manager  to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
    1 - download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.>Click on the Add Library button,
    2 -  select the library you want to add from those in the selection window.
    3 - make sure that in the rebuild window the checkbox  "Scavange orphaned photos" is checked.
    4 - now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the Library ➙ Rebuild Library menu option
    5 - in the next  window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed. Click on the Create button.
    Note 1: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments. However, books, calendars, cards and slideshows will be lost.
    Note 2:  Your current library will be left untouched for further attempts at a fix if so desired.
  • Unable to create a book in iphoto '08
    I am unable to create a book in iphoto '08. When i click on the book icon down the bottom and choose a type of book then click on 'choose' nothing happens.
    1 - delete the current application (just got to applications and delete it? What happens to the photo library??)
    Nothing - reinstalling will not effect it
    BUT as always when doing installations and upgraded - and at all other times too - you mush have a good, tested, current backup of your system including the iPhoto library - stuff does happen
    5 - boot into the system disk that came with your computer and do a custom install selecting only iPhoto (is this the OS install disc? I have a disc 1 and disc 2) or can I do this from my iLife '08 software?
    If you have purchased iLife '08 then you will use the iLife disk to install iPhoto - if you are installing the one that came with your computer you will use the restore disks that came with your system - do a custom install and install bundled software only - or click here for the MacWorld article on this subject.
  • Saving bookmarks in borrowed books
    Can I keep my bookmarks, and access them, after my borrowed book expires?
    Thanks!
    //Jonathan
    If the book's loan period expires, I think the bookmarks go with it......
    If I remember correctly, digital rights won't let you access information
    past the laon time the library gives you.  You can check that with your
    library as well - ask their technical support people.
