Unable to route to Internet
Hi, I'm having a few issues configuring my Cisco 1900 series router. A bit of background first! This is my first attempt at configuring a router, I've been working through my CCNA using ios images and they have all been fine but getting this router to work is just not happening!
We have our main router which connects to the Internet and then to split up the network further we are installing a 2nd router. This router will have 2 networks coming off it. Internal routing is working fine. I can connect to the new router over the existing network, I can plug devices into this router and they get DHCP, DNS etc. and will connect to other devices on the network fine. It's when I'm trying to get out to the Internet that it's failing. I'm sure I've missed a step in the configuration but i'm stumbling on where.
Any help would be greatly received.
Thank you. I had entered it but took another look after your post and noticed i'd put the wrong IP in. Thanks for your help sometimes you just need a nudge in the right direction.

Solaris 10: Unable to route to Internet
Folks,
I installed Solaris 10 on Sun Ultra 30. Server is up & everything looks good, except I am not able to connect to Internet from Ultra30.
Problem is not in Name Resolution, but in routing to external network. At least it so seems.
At my home, it's a typical cable modem & Netgear router setup. I reserved the IP (192.168.1.3) for the MAC address of Ultra30 @ my router and used that IP address on Ultra30 setup.
I am able to reach to this node from the other nodes, connected to same router, by telnet/ftp etc. Those nodes are able to go to Internet without any problem. I am able to ping from Ultra30 to the Dynamic IP address of other nodes on the same network.
Here is the output of various commands.
# ifconfig -a

-- skvvskI have a similar problem. In my case, the issue is in the resolv.conf file which is setup with the ISP router address (192.168.1.3) by the Solaris installation procudure.
# cat /etc/resolv.conf
192.168.1.3
However, the routing by DNS does not work with this. So I edit the resolv.conf file to have this:
# cat /etc/resolv.conf
nameserver 192.168.1.3
The entry name the address of the primary DNS.
Of course, this assuming that you have already edit the nsswitch.conf
Do a check:
# more /etc/nsswitch.conf | grep hosts
# hosts: and services: in this file are used only if the
hosts: files dns
If you only see "hosts: files" in the last line, edit the file and add " dns" to that line. -
Unable to connect router to internet and computer at the same time.
I'm not sure where to start, but here goes. We recently got the internet set up at out new house. Of course, the only connection is downstairs and the computer is upstairs. The guys that set the internet up said we needed a wireless router and I said "Ok, cool."
He gave us a router and a receiver and hooked them both up. (I myself know quite a bit about computers but I figured I'd let him do his job.) So we're all set up and I start playing my game and I get a "Windows has a conflict with another computer on this IP" or something like that. I figured I might as well put some security up on this thing. So I go downstairs and hit the SecureEasySetup (SES from now on) button and come back up here and follow all of the steps and it say's that it's not connected. I run back downstairs and looc for the MAC Address and notice that it was not mentioned as one of the selectable routers.
I figured the guy didn't really install the router, just hooked the internet up into it and plugged it in, and that my reciever picked up someone else's from the neighborhood. So I go and get the CD to install and notice that I have to have the router plugged into the computer AND the internet at the same time for installation to complete. Uhh, that could be a problem. Computer upstairs + router and internet cable downstairs = no go.
So here's my question: What can I do about that? I can't have the computer and the internet hooked up to the router at the same time.
Thanks to everyone that replies.First off... don't use the setup CD.
Configure your router by http(ing) to the IP address, log in, and configure that way. much easier. typically its http://192.168.1.1
username admin
password admin
once you get logged in change that password and Remember it! If you lose it, you'll have to reset to factory defaults.
2nd
Change your SSID. Default is "linksys" you'd be suprised how many people leave the thing as defaults and someone else is using yoru network connection...
3rd
Add security WPA is better than WEP
4th
Now go upstairs and look for your new SSID, connect with your WPA code and you should be set.
5th - Not needed but for info...
If you want to go that far... you can change your DHCP set to something like 10.0.10.x but you'll have to manually change the IP of the router to that subnet as well... -
Unable to connect to internet or print wirelessly on Boot Camp with Windows 7
I recently installed Boot Camp and Windows 7 on my Mac Book Pro with no problems.
A month later, I am unable to connect to internet or print wirelessly.
It states that I am connected to my router.
When I trouble shoot, it cannot find the problem.
My wireless connection and cable connection are fine on the MAC side.
Please help.looks a like a Windows 7 problem. I assume that you can click on the current connection info on the task bar and see a connection to your wireless router? Have you updated your copy of Windows since it was working? I am wondering if it's an update that's applied in Windows which has done something.

Hi there!
It sounds as if your BB is not properly registered with your carrier...I suggest the following:
1) Register HRT:
Homescreen > Options > Advanced Options > Host Routing Table > BBKey (it does not matter which line is current) > Register Now
2) Resend Service Books:
KB02830 Send the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service
If that does not help, then contact your carrier.
Otherwise, there are a multitude of questions/answers to go through to help you out, but those won't work unless you come to the forums and register an account. Please come to:

and register an account. Then post to the applicable forum.

Need to know how can i troubleshoot this further?
Regards
MaheshI would do the troubleshooting in following sequence.
1. Put a wired PC on to the vlan allocated for WLAN1
2. Check whether wired PC gets an IP & can browse internet
3. If that works, then we know no issue of DHCP & not issue with L3/NAT routing to access internet
4. If step2, does not work then your issue is not within wireless, you have to change the focus of your troubleshoot.
5. If step2 works, then test a wireless client with OPEN Authentication (No ACS involvment). If this does not work, then it means wireless client does not get proper IP connectivity. Check dynamic interface configuration for this WLAN & make sure gateway addresses correctly configured. Also VLANs are trunk across to WLC from switch.
6. If step5 works, then try your client with ACS & see the client get successfully authenticated. If not it may be WLC to ACS issue. Troubleshoot that in that case.
Do some troubleshooting like this & let us know the outcome. I am sure you will abe to find out the issue easily in this way.

iphne 5 unable to connect to internet
I had the same issue and usually a reset of all the network settings on iphone did the trick.
this method did not work with my iphone 5 . i did something in router settings that seemed to change things a lot, for the better.
the wifi channel usually the routers use is channel 11, so i changed mine to channel 1. this solved my issues and the iphone connected just fine to the network, without restarting the iphone or resetting any settings or switching off and back on the wifi.

Firefox 33.0 unable to connect to Internet
''locking this thread as duplicate, please continue at [https://support.mozilla.org/questions/1025617 /questions/1025617]''
I've just installed the FF33.0 update and I am unable to browse the Internet.
I am having to use another browser on the same laptop in order to access this site.
I have Windows 8.1 installed on an i7 Laptop. I connect via WiFi through my Broadband router. The connection is fine (checked & double checked). I can't even access the GUI of my router through FF33.0 .
I have accessed the Firefox site and downloaded FF33.0 from there. Went through the process (upgrade was selected) and the same problem occurred.hello, normally such issues are caused by a firewall/security software which doesn't recognize & therefore blocks new firefox versions. please remove all program rules for firefox from your firewall and let it detect the new version of the browser again.

Unable to connect to internet although network status is ok
Dear all,
Since Monday (9 January 2005) I have been unable to access the internet using my usual web browsers (Safari, Internet Explorer and Firefox) and e-mail program (Mail) via Airport. This was despite Airport being active and the network status indicating that I was connected to the internet via Airport (green status). When plugging the iBook directly into my router, the network status naturally changed to being connected to the internet via Built-in Ethernet (I defined this order in the network port configurations). I was able to access the internet normally using my web browsers and e-mail program via Built-in Ethernet until this morning. Although the status of both Airport and Built-in Ethernet is still the same, my web browsers indicate that they can't find the respective servers.
Your help would be very much appreciated.
Best regards,
Semilev
iBook G4 14-inch Mac OS X (10.3.9) Airport Extreme Card 640 MB DDR SDRAMI have exactly the same problem. Internet provider (Time Warner) repaired a cable, installed a new splitter and a new modem. It worked for a day, then same problem. TWC tech verified cable, modem and router OK, problem in the computer. My work around is to disconnect the ethernet from the computer and operate it soley on WiFi. I hope to find out what is wrong with the iMac (running Lion), but for now it works fine this way.
I had even restoree the OS, did not help.
Go to the network preferences and make sure your network is selected, and it should work.

Enabling Oracle Management Service to Access My Oracle Support
Unless online access to the Internet is strictly forbidden in your environment, Oracle Management Service should be enabled to access My Oracle Support. This access is necessary to enable updates and patches to be downloaded, for example.
At minimum, the following URLs should be made available through the firewall:
aru-akam.oracle.com
ccr.oracle.com
login.oracle.com
support.oracle.com
updates.oracle.com
About the dontProxyfor Property
When you configure the Oracle Management Service or a Management Agent to use a proxy server, it is important to understand the purpose of the dontProxyFor property, which identifies specific URL domains for which the proxy will not be used.
For example, suppose the following were true:
You have installed the Oracle Management Service and several Management Agents on hosts that are inside the company firewall. These hosts are in the internal .example.com and .example.us.com domains.
You have installed several additional Management Agents on hosts that are outside the firewall. These hosts are installed in the .example.uk domain.
You have configured Enterprise Manager to automatically check for critical software patches on My Oracle Support.
In this scenario, you want the Oracle Management Service to connect directly to the Management Agents inside the firewall without using the proxy server. On the other hand, you want the Oracle Management Service to use the proxy server to contact the Management Agents outside the firewall, as well as the My Oracle Support site, which resides at the following URL:
http://support.oracle.com
The following properties will prevent the Oracle Management Service from using the proxy server for connections to the Management Agents inside the firewall. Connections to My Oracle Support and to Management Agents outside the firewall will be routed through the proxy server:
proxyHost=proxy42.example.com
proxyHost=80
dontProxyFor=.example.com, .example.us.com
PS: Cygwin has nothing to do with My Oracle Support connection. Cygwin is ONLY required for agent deployment using agent push from OMS. -

Does the iPod connect to other networks?
Do other devices sucessfully connect?
Try:
- Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on the router
- Reset network settings: Settings>GeneralReset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory settings/new iPod.
- Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

When my iphone connects to wifi, everything else in my house will not connect to the internet. They all show 3 to 4 bars on connection strength, but unable to access the internet. The second I turn off the wifi on my iphone, everything in my house runs fine. What is going on?
Had a similar problem a number of years ago with a laptop my daughter had. The probelm turned out to be the router. What kind of router do you have? Have you checked for firmware updates, or at least tried re-booting it?

If not, you can try to use the following DNS servers from OpenDNS.com:

Hi,
I am in big problem. I had deployed a web application on IIS 7.0 which have windows server 2008 r2 installed. We have some reports in web application. Everything is working fine in web application except when I export content feom SSRS reports to PDF or CSV
format then I am getting following message
Unable to open this Internet site. The requested site is either unavailable or cannot be found. Please try again later.
This message comes only on IE8 as I had installed Mozilla but that issue is not coming on Mozilla. I don't why this issue is coming and how to solve this issue. I had gone with every possible results which I found in google but noting seems to be helpful. Please
help me as it's urgent and I am deploying on production server.
Thanks...Hi Awadhendra,
This error usually occurs if IE is configured with the "Do not save encrypted pages to disk" advanced options setting or the server is using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) and has added one or both of the following HTTP headers to the response message:
e.g: Response.AddHeader "Cache-control: no-cache" or “Cache-control: no-store”.
To solve this issue, please try to cancel the “Do not save encrypted pages to disk” option in the advanced internet options or setting the “BypassSSLNoCache” registry. For more details, please refer to
KB323308 .
