Unable to run a report through Portal.

Hi All,
I am not able to run a particular BEX report through portal.
I get a white screen and no pop-up for selections and later nothing happens.
I have checked my Roles but no changes has been made.
My other colleagues are able to run the report.
Please let me know what could be the possible reason/solution for such an issue.

are different roles assigned?
i.e., for you and for your colleagues.  Please try login with your id in their PCs and vice versa.
let check the compatibility. if you are failed to execute in that PCs also, then it should be authorization issue. Ask your basis folks to add that particular info area and info cubes to your role.

    we have regenerated the user roles , done user comparision....every thing is OK.

    Are you able to run this report with your user id?
    If so check the role or authorization objects which are missing to the user.
    And also check whether he got portal roles assigned to his profile.

  • Portal Runtime Error while accessing BW reports through portal

    We are facing portal runtime error(An exception occurred while processing your request. Please send the exception id to your portal administrator) while accessing BI reports through portal frequently.
    We are unable to trace the error in the 'default trace' log file and although refreshing the cache solves this issue, it is difficult to explain this to every user individually.
    After many such errors, We found one log entry, which we are now not yet sure if it is relevant. The error states:

    Attempting to run crystal report through BI iView.

    Is there something we need to install to be able to load this file, or is there somewhere we can download.
    As of now, stopped b/c can't find

    We currently have BOBJ set up, CMC/INFOVIEW, and crystal linked to SAP BI...so I thought we'd installed everything we need, I guess this is more for portal...b/c now our goal is to see what crystal reports look like in BI portal instead of infoview.

    Friends,
    I really need your help to remove the waring message.
    For the purpose of changing the description on the Selection screen from “Cost Cetnters (Authorised Values)” to “Funds Centers” I had changed the ZCCTRATI variable description to Funds Centers
    Issue:
    When we open the old report we see the following information message.
    " Value if variable ZCCTRAT1 is automatically converted
    I did go to TC RSRT as of Dinesh,Vijay advice ,Just want to know that what message i need to Click .because i could nt find the relevant message

    If your Query has hierarchy in it then check 734184
    If your query is based on Infoset then check Note 784502 and 701941.

    I am trying to create a iView to access the BI report through Portal.
    We have done SSO and other configuration.
    While previewing the iView I am getting the following error.

    when we try to run report from portal we get the following error
    " Label has specified invalid InfoObject = '0RPM_IHGU__0RPM_PFGU' "
    On double clicking i get the following :

    You have assigned an invalid attribute IOBJNM to the label. You cannot drag text to this InfoObject. The invalid value is 0RPM_IHGU__0RPM_PFGU

All characteristics and structures are valid that are available in the query from which the query view obtains its data.

    It was working fine in Development system. We faced this problem after transporting to quality.

    The system is unable to identify the InfoObject which has been assigned to the Web Item,
    Check if the InfoObject has been deactivated or is still available in the Query, the object seems to be a Navigational Attribute also check if anybody has changed the setting of the object to some thing else say display.  I get this message very often in development because of specifying wrong Structure Element to the IOBJNM

  • Running Crystal Report through web service

    We are trying to build a solution using Java, which will give access of Crystal reports to users. We are trying to access using the Web Services provided by BO XI server.
    I need help with couple of issues I'm facing with the consumer API -
    1. When a search is performed and reports/documents are found, how to get the path (parent folder(s)) of that document?
    2. How to run a report? I've tried schedule (method of BIPlatform) with 'RightNow' property (of SchedulingInfo object) to true, but it throws exception 'Pause and Resume isnt allowed'. But through CMC I can run the report on demand.

    Just to give more info on what I'm doing in my code -
    I'm searching for a report with it's name. Search is performed by BICatalog web service's search operation. It returns an array of BICatalogObject. Now I'm unable to find a method to get the path info of these objects. I see there's a class named PathFolder in API javadoc, but cant find a method of BICatalogObject that can return such objects.
    Can anyone help me out with this?

    I am accessing the BI reports in central consumer Portal using remote roles. Everything works fine, then suddenly, we experience a problem opening one of the report through consumer Portal.
    Consumer Portal shows a Loading... Message and the report never comes up.
    If I test the same report throuigh Producer Portal it works fine. The complete FPN setting were working fine till yesterday. Nothing changed, still we are facing this issue. This is happening for a specific role. All other roles are working fine.
    Has anyone else experienced this issue.

    Hi,
    You will have to check this with the person who is upporting our portal applications. From the error description it does not look like there is any thing wrong with CATS application as such.

    I have report rel.6 NT version installed on Windows 2000.Now I want to run my report with a chart.But after I finished the chart
    wizard and try to run it,it gives me error.The error says that it is unable to create a PL/SQL Development Environment context.I also try it on Report Runtime
    and it gives me error "REP-0074:Failure to run another product using SSL".Anybody out there can help me.Is it because of my operating system or ????

    Hi Rajesh,
    If you just want to execute the report in web, you can do one thing.
    Go to Query designer of your relevent system.
    Open the Query which you want to execute in Web.
    Then in the Query tab(first one) in the drop down list you have the Option  'execute'./ the 5th Icon  in the Query designer screen.On clicking this it will open a new window( Internet Explorer) and prompts for your system credentials.
    Upon providing them  the query start executing if it deosn't have any selections, else selection screen appears.
    You can save the link and can use this when ever you want to execute the query.Use it in the BW system environment's Intrenet explorer only.
